WebAS 640 DO_INIT always called

Hi Guys,
I got a little problem with an MVC-BSP application. The application consists of one maincontroller and several subcontrollers. When being started Do_Init is being called on all of them, which is fine so far.
When I now click a link, or press a button, which forces a submit of my view, DO_INIT gets called again on my maincontroller. This causes a lot of trouble, but only on an WebAS 640 SP 15.
On an WebAS 620 SP 52 the same application works fine.
Do I have to set any new options or something like that?

are you sure that you set the sessionhandling to 'stateful' (for the application and the controller)?

We are trying to expose a BAPI (BAPI_CUSTOMER_GETSALESAREAS) as a web service on SAP R/3 ECC 5. web AS 640.
We created the virtual interface (Z_VI_CUSTOMER_BAPI)and the web service definition (Z_WSD_CUSTOMER_BAPI)from SE80. When we try to release the web service definition from WSCONFIG, we get an error saying:
"Error when creating web service(Web Service Definition Z_WSD_CUSTOMER_BAPI for SOAP application unbekannt)"

I think I must clarify my question.
The Web Service is not called inside SAP R/3 but externally. For testing pourpose I actually use WS Navigator and XMLSpy.
The method inside ABAP Server Proxy which is exposed as a Web Server in SAP R/3 system is the following. Note that the Web Service is Asynchronous.
METHOD zpi_ii_test_ws_4_in~test_ws_4_in.
DATA: lwa_zpi_test TYPE zpi_test.
lwa_zpi_test-mandt = input-mt_test-record-client.

JCO difference between SAP J2ee 620 and Webas 640 for Internet Sales

Does anyone have some information on how Internet Sales manages JCO calls to R/3 or CRM on WebAS 640?
Till J2EE 620 the sapjco.jar file directory had to be in classpath along with the relevant dlls in WinNt directory.
WebAs 640 Java installation doesn't mandate any such steps.
How does this work? The jar probably is in the cluster/server/bin/ext folder but what about the native libraries? How are they loaded.
I am having problems making RFC calls to R/3 from a web application deployed on SAP WebAS 640.
This is not the internet sales application but a general J2EE application and I was wondering if i could use the same approach as used by Internet Sales to load the native libraries.
Any help would be appreciated.

We have the WebAs 640 Java system running on a AIX server. I placed the following folder under classpath

ABAP WebAS 640 Consume Web Service

I am trying to consume a .Net Web Service from a WebAS 640 system, but am encountering problems. Here are the steps I am taking:
1. In SE80, Create a new Package
2. Right-click the package and choose Create > Enterprise Service / Web Service > Proxy Object
3. Choose the first radio button "URL / HTTP Destination"
4. Enter the url of the WSDL of my .Net service
5. Type in the name of my package, and a prefix that begins with Z to put it in the customer namespace
---> At this point, SAP tries to generate the proxy but gives the following error:
"Cannot generate proxy (object schema missing in WSDL, see long text)"
When I click the help button for more information, I see that there is a reference in the WSDL to a namespace which is not defined in the WSDL. This namespace is included by default in .Net - http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema. I do not know whether I should try to remove it or if there is a setting in SE80 which would cause SAP ignore the namespace reference. Does anyone have experience with this?

During proxy generation, an interface description in WSDL format is fetched from the Integration Builder or another source and interpreted. This WSDL document must describe the whole interface correctly.

I have several Proxy Objects generated against .Net Web Services. I just checked the WSDL for one of them and it has the www.w3.org reference in it:

This is working fine in my WebAS 640 SP12 system. We didn't do any manipulation to the WSDL (it straight linked off the ASMX page that generates for the WebService), nor did we do any particular settings inside SAP.
In your WSDL do you have a schema node in yoru wsdl:types area. This is what mine looks like:

I have already searched SDN and SAP Notes and SAP Help, but I could not find a clear statement.

Icreated a JTable and added a ListSelectionListener to this table. I want an action being performed each time the selection within the table changes. If I change the selection via mouse this works quite fine, but if I do so with the mouse the method in the Listener is alwas called two times...why ?

a user (an "application user", not a Weblogic admin). From a JSP login
page, the app calls a Servlet that calls LoginContext("myLogin",
myCallbackHandler).login(). I have also create a custom
Callback/CallbackHandler (since the parameters are passed as HTTP
parameters) and added the required parameters in lib\server.policy:
myLogin {
com.andrej.myLoginModule required;
The problem is that it looks like WL always calls the default
LoginModule (ServerPolicy from the lib\server.policy file) even if it
doesn't correspond to "myLogin". Of course, my app crashes
miserably... :)
Two questions:
- is the above normal? Am I missing something of JAAS?
- am I following the right path i.e. can I use a custom LoginModule to
authenticate an application user via an entity EJB so that the
successive calls are then associated to the proper Subject/Principal?
Or can I only use a LoginModule to authenticate a Weblogic server
user?

Call thirty party java web service but always return null

I call a java web service in my application visual studio 2008 c#, but always return NULL.
I used Tool Fiddler to monitor the traffic between my client and the web service server, it showed the return is not Null.

I used Fiddler to monitor the process, and it showed the request sent thru web service worked and returned a value, but in my .Net application the return captured as NULL. Could you please look into the code above and the result from Filddler and see if

Web content overlay - always "on top"?

Hi
In my Indesign DPS doc, I have a top later with content and a second bottom layer with some html 5 animation showing within a web content overlay box.
Everything previews well, except the overlay content always seems to be "on top". guess this makes semse since it is really just a "web window" but I thought I would ask since it will impact my designs moving forward...

Overlays always rise to the top, which is why they're called overlays. If you want to cover part of an overlay, you need to use another overlay. A common approach is to create a 2-state MSO with two identical images and auto play set to 1.

Stop() method always called on browser close?

In my web application I pop up an applet and I need to do some processing whenever the the user closes the applet window. I learnt that the Applet class' stop() method is called whenver the page containing the applet is either closed/refreshed/redirected.
My question is whether I can rely that the stop() method will always be called in such aforementioned situations? Also it this kind of functionality browser dependent (i.e. are there some commonly used browsers that behave a bit differently?)

It SHOULD work, but I wouldn't bet anything important on it working. If the closing code is critical you've got to test at least IE, Netscape/Mozilla, Firefox and Opera and you've got to test lots of versions of each.
I'd try hard to design around this issue.

ITune updates on my XP always call for AOL?

When I update my iTunes, the software for Aol always comes up. I do not have AOl and my computer settings on my computer say never dial up. Even when my web browser is open already, iTunes calls for AOL. It is maddening. Is there a setting in iTunes that I need to switch off?

Why not remove the AOL software entirely? Just dump it. It's bad for you. It's bad for your computer. It's just bad.
