WebCam Go Plus Driver and Control Program

Just had to rebuidl the hard drive and lost all programs. I can no longer find driver, the webcam go monitor and the Control Program I used to use on Creative Site. Not a great deal of hope of finding the original CD, bought too long ago.

THe HD4000 driver should already be installed, since Windows update found it for you. As for the Fn key working in the manner you described, the driver you likely need is the Hotkey Features Integration. You can also find any drivers for your system on this page here.

I need help on the E4402B Spectrum analyzer with VSA . Someone know how to comunicate using labview 6 ?

I couldn't find an instrument driver for the E4402B on NI's website, so I would first suggest contacting the vendor. If you get an instrument driver, it will be much easier to program. If they do not have one, you will need to make bus calls. For instance, if it's GPIB, you will need to know that commands which the device accepts and then make 488.2 or VISA calls to the instrument.

Seagate Backup Plus Drive No Search Option

I have the 500GB Seagate Backup Plus Drive, and Finder will not perform a search on the files in the hard drive. When I try to search, the folder becomes blank as if there are no files. Then when I ask finder to search a folder on my native hard drive, it works normally.
Any recommendations?

Creative WebCam Vista Plus - need Driver for Vis

I've a problem with my WebCam. I've bougth the Creative WebCam Vista Plus and everything working fine, using WinXP.
Now I bougth a new PC with Vista Business 64bit. I plugged in the WebCam and wondered, that the Vista drivers are not allready on bord. So I tryed to download the driver from the Creative Support Site. There I got only the answer, that there is no download available for my product... !!
By the time I bought the Cam i thougth, that I am buying a future-proof product. I mean, even the name of the cam includes the word VISTA! Isn't that crazy
Does everone know a possibility to get the Cam working I'm realy upset about the driver-policy from Creative.
Another thing is, to find the german website. Why i cant usw www.creative.de I had to google the adress... http://de.europe.creative.com/welcome.asp

Can you click on the details for the error report and post up what it says. If it reports something about Apple causing the problem then you could try updating your QuickTime to the latest version.

New to instrument control: attempting control of E5062A with GPIB cable and C program

Hey everyone!
I'm lost as where to start controlling an instrument we have in the lab.
I'll give you my setup:
It is a VNA, agilent/keysight E5062A.
Controller is a desktop server running RHEL 5.
I have a GPIB Cable.
Program needs to be written into C so that it can be incorporated into the test program we are using.
I have the programmers manual but it doesn't tell me much on how to start. It does tell me how to set the instrument(E5062A) gpib address.
I've also gathered that i will need some sort of I/O library, VISA or SCPI?

Do you also have a GPIB controller such as NI's USB-GPIB? Acable by itself its worthless. A better choice would probably have been the instrument with a USB or Ethernet connection, but no matter, the communication is the same.
With the NI controller, you first install the NI-488.2 driver and then NI-VISA. VISA is an api that abstracts the actual physical connection. Code for a GPIB connection will run unmodified of you change to USB or Ethernet. When you install the drivers you are also given the option to install example code that should help you get started.

Keysight might also have a driver. Check there as well.
P.S. SCPI is the instrument's programming language. It's built-in as the manual makes clear.

Not sure of an answer to your basic question, but it may be that you can run a repair (on Windows --> Control Panel>Programs & Features and run the repair on Acrobat). If that fixes the issue, at least temporarily, at least you will not be reinstalling everything -- a real pain.
Next, open Acrobat and go to the Help to run the updates and be sure you are current. On some OSs, the updates are critical.

G505 DVD/CD Drive and Webcam issues.

Hello.
I have a G505 Lenovo Laptop with the Windows 8.1 Update and I have been ahving issues with the DVD/CD drive, and more recently the Webcam.
The DVD/CD drive doesn't seem to be recognized by the computer despite it coming with the computer I bought. I originally thought it was a faulty connection, but after taking it out, cleaning it and putting it back in the problem persisted. I was told that maybe a program was not letting the drive work, but I have several programs that can detect a disk when instereted so now I don't know what the problem is.
More recently, my internal webcam has stopped working. The light next to the webcam usually comes on at start-up, but now it doesn't even do that. I try going on skype or using the camera app, but all I get is a "Connect a camera to get started". I tried download the camera driver for Windows 8.1 on the Drivers & Downloads page, but everytime I try installing it it says that there is no driver to install.
I also checked the Device Manager to see if maybe the drivers were not installed, but the CD/DVD section doesn't even appear! Under the "Audio, video, and game controllers", only Audio and game controllers appear (Unless that is not the right section).
Does anyone know what's going on? I could really use some help

MY SDD Boot Drive is parsed very tightly, I need to Load the Creative Cloud and the MANY apps of my plan to load to and work from my F: drive.

Problems with Creative Video Blaster Webcam Go Plus and Windows XP SP2

Hi,
I have exprienced a big problem since installing Service Pack 2 on Windows XP. My Webcam Go Plus is now providing either a black picture or for a short time the correct picture but then the complete system breaks down. I've already read messages from other users, who had the same problem. So, I tried to install the new driver for "Creative Webcam" but it doesn't work. On the download page for my Webcam Go Plus there is only a driver from 2002, which I already installed before updating to Service Pack 2.

Hey I'm having the same problem, and thought that maybe we'd get more help if a few people had this happening? It won't even install for me, when the camera is almost done, the camera beeps twice to say its on and then my computer turns blue and dies. i dont really like that screen, so if anyone can fix it or tell me what to do?

Connecting and controlling Aerotech's Soloist to LabVIEW program

Hey everyone,
I am completely new to LabVIEW, but am trying to use the program to operate a system of moveable stages. Right now I have the stages hooked up to Aerotech's Soloist CP which has its own software to operate the controllers. Here I'm good.
However, I would like to control the stages directly through LabVIEW by incorporating the Soloist controler into my VI. The Soloist help manual has references to using LabVIEW, however the LabVIEW manual does not have any information that I can find to walk me through the process.
Could someone please suggest a comprehensive plan to connect and control the Soloist controller to LabVIEW?

Hi Justin,
I haven't worked with the controller, that you have mentioned, so i can only provide some general guidance.
First of all it's important to know, which interface (e. g. RS232, CAN, Ethernet, Analog or digital I/O,...) and which protocol your device is using (e. g. Modbus, CANOpen, Ethernet I/P, Ethercat,...).
The second question is what level of external control is required. Does your drive accept high level control commands (e. g. "Move to position x with acceleration a and velocity v") or do you need to transfer real-time trajectory data for distributed multi-axis synchronization and contouring profiles.
Please check with the vendor of the controller, if there is a LabVIEW library available to communicate with their controller. Otherwise you will have to implement a LabVIEW API by yourself. In this case, you should refer to the LabVIEW examples library, which provides a lot of examples for all common interfaces and protocols.
As a third option there might be a way to communicate from LabVIEW with the Soloist software by using a software interface like ActiveX or .NET.

Have new computer with Windows 8, installed my old hard drive from old computer running Vista, want to get access to my Adobe programs from that old hard drive and system. Can you help?

Not unless the installers are on that harddrive.
What version of Adobe software did you have installed on the old machine? Please keep in mind that anything older than CS6 could be a crapshoot on Windows 8.

Cannot uninstall I tunes. In control panel add and remove programs it will not give me the option to remove any of the I tunes. In program files it tells me access denied to remove any of the related items. I have tried using the removal methods from i tu

My i tunes will not work at all. I have tried all the steps given to remove my I tunes player but in my control panel, add and remove programs it does not give me an option to remove any of the apple/ I tunes. I tried to go to program files and remove all the files but access is denied. This all started about 1 1/2 years ago and with every i tunes update i got more and more errors or problems until it stopped working. At one time i could remove and reinstall i tunes to try to fix it but now i cannot do anything. I believe one of the last was i could not open i tune because it was being used or was on another network, not 100% sure its been so long and frustrating I quit trying 6 months ago. Hopefully someones got some help !!!
