Webdynpro ABAP export/import

Hi,
I have create a webdynpro application with SAP Netweaver 2004s an I will use this application on a portal with SAP Netweaver 2004.
How can I get the files in the other system?
Can I do this with download/upload or transport ?

So you have created a WebDynpro ABAP Application using the SAP NW-Dev Studio.
-o I suppose you can export the complete the WebDynpro Application as Jar File / Zip File etc. This for Backup.
-o To make it show itself on a SAP Portal, you have register the WAS Server(your SDM where you deployed your application).
-o Nextly you can transport your WebDynpro Appl by doing
--oo open your SAP Portal :: like sapsrvr://test:50400/irj/portal
--oo next login and click on the Content Administration, you would see below a list of tabs like Portal Content, Multiple
Property Replacement ... and also Web Dynpro.
--oo Now click on Portal Content
--oo Go to Browse tab below
--oo Select your folder (where you want to show ur application)
     ---ooo Right click on it and select new -> iView
     ---ooo Select 'SAP Web Dynpro iView' from radio buttons and click Next
        ---ooo Enter a name , id of the iView ( they can be same, dont enter white spaces between words), click next
     ---ooo Select ABAP or Java ( in ur case ABAP)
     ---ooo Enter all the values like namespace, application name of ur application ( u can find them when u run the
WebDynpro ABAP application, like local/WebTut_UI and WEb_UI respectively)
     ---ooo save it and see the summary
now you must be able to see your application as an iView in the Portal Application.

(ABAP+JAVA) system is too big to export/import

We have some NW04s and ECC6 dual stack systems that we want to frequently clone using homogeneous system copy method.
However they can be as big as many terabytes.
Is there a way to clone they using a way other than export/import?

Hi,
As of SAP NetWeaver 7.0, you can copy ABAPJava systems in one run using either database-specific methods or database-independent methods. In a ABAPJAVA stack system, you need to run a separate export for the Java engine to archive SDM and application specific file contents. You will have to supply that java Export location on the target system, while performing DB specific system copy procedure.

Reg exporting ALV to PDF in Webdynpro ABAP

Hi All,
I've developed one Webdynpro ABAP portal. There, in one view, I have an ALV for Account Statement. I need to allow this output - as it is - to be Downloaded and Printed as per given Button-choice in PDF Format.
How can I do this? I searched SDN Forum for this. Many an articles are there but, they suggest that data from Internal Table can be exported to PDF. How can we get the data from ALV in one view to internal table?
If there is other way of doing the same, would you please guide me.

Thanks for your guidelines.
In our system, ADS has already been installed. Second, ALV Toolbar is not reqd from Client's side. They need only Print and Download Functionality that too using Button.
Hence, my case came into picture. Further, I have to add Customer Name with address as Header and Net Balance as Footer in my PDF. Therefore I need to fetch all the data that are already in ALV and present it with changed layout.
Please guide me.

Webdynpro abap ALV export to excel with images problem

Hello experts,
I'm having problems with standard excel export functionality in webdynpro abap ALV.
In my table i have images taken from content server (employee photos) linked with URL to a table_cell Image, when i export the table to excel using standard function the images is showed as a broken picture with the following text:
"The linked image cannot displayed. The file may have been moved, or deleted. Verify that the link points to the correct file and location."
I'm running on sap basis 7.02 SP13 and implemented the notes 1975765 and 1985288 but not resolved this issue.
Do you have any ideas?

Are you able to download the ICONs from alv table? try to use some icon source '~Icon/Add' and check out if you can download it to excel successfully.

ABAP Export in MSCS ABAP+Java Import

Hi,
I have an ABAP export from an HRP system (not a cluster one). I 've set up a new MSCS system for HRP, which is ABAP+Java and I know want to import the db to this new system. Should I consider anything before or after the import? Will the Java work correctly after the import? Or should I set up again the MSCS system with ABAP only, import the db from old HRP system and then install a Java Add-In in order to work correctly?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. And pointly appreciated also. Thx in advance.

i wana export a query from one client to another. then change it and again import the new one.
Please guide me 4 that. As i wil b exporting from production, matter is sensitive. so please provide me the detailed description.

the tread says "In SQ02 transaction click on environment and then click on transport. Here you can download the query (along with infoset) to your desktop and then upload to your destination system."
but there isn't a export - import radio button...

How to export/ import Abap editor options?

Hi all!
I tried to copy my editor options (yellow button in the right corner of the editor's textedit) to another gui-Installation. I copied the \document and setting\user\SapWorkDir\ab4_data-Folder to the other terminal, but the setting are not used by the editor.
Where is my fault? Is there any any export/ import-function that i have missed?

Hi,
that's weird. I checked it on my laptop and I can see all keyboard settings in file keymap.xml. Whenever I change soome keyboard shortcut then this file is modified. So it should be working. Btw the folder ab4_data is also under Program files/SAP/FrontEnd/SAPGui. So maybe SAPGui is using the default profile from there.

Attachment from webdynpro abap to workflow and vice versa

I added the attachment using the following code from my webdynpro abap application:

I see the attachments in the workitem but am unable to open the attachment.

How to call webservices in webdynpro abap

Hi Experts,
My requirement is I have to call an URL by exporting an XML file to that URL I have to import an XML file again i .e nothing but I have to send request file in the form of XML and need to get response in the form of XML file from the URL .This total execution should be finished by clicking a button in webdynpro ABAP.

You may try to find the sample code as follows:
1. Goto Transaction se80
2. Select "package" --> enter "SWDP"
3. goto "embedded packages" --> "SWDP_DEMO" --> Web Dynpro
Here, you will get demo applications. Find the most appropriate demo application and try to customize the code according to your requirement.

Portal Theme in Webdynpro ABAP

Hi Experts,
I want my portal theme to get applied to the webdynpro abap application.But WDA application is not adapting the portal theme.
This is the version of the theme's style sheet in portal=7.1.3.0.1;ur=7.1.3.0.1;7.1.3.0.0(Major version.minor version.SP.patch.generation run)
The version of Webdynpro abap theme is 7.11.3.2.0.
Portal Version is NetWeaver 7.0 Ehp1
and SAP Basis Version is 701 and level 5.
Is there version incompatibility?
How can I solve this.

Please follow below steps to apply Portal theme in Webdynpro ABAP.
1. Go to transaction SE80 and navigate to the MIME Repository
2. Create a folder in the MIME repository that will contain all the custom theme files. Make sure the folder is created in following directory /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/<theme_name>
3. Go to the Repository browser in SE80 and select u201CProgramsu201D from the drop down list.
4. Enter BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS in the input field and hit Enter
5. Execute the program and enter the MIME repository path to the folder that is to contain the custom theme. Our custom theme is located in MIME path /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/<Theme Name>
6. Execute the program and select root folder that contains all the custom theme files. The custom theme can be directly pulled down from the file server on portal or can be exported from Portal Theme Editor and imported into Eclipse Theme Editor in order to generate the necessary css files. We only need the root folder that contains the actual css files and images. The upload process might take a while depending on the size.
7. Once the upload is complete, go back to the MIME Repository and check if the files were uploaded.
8. To specify a theme at the global level you can execute WebDynpro component WD_GLOBAL_SETTING. Maintain parameter u2018Stylesheet URIu2019 with the MIME Repository path of the custom theme (i.e. /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/<custom_theme>).
9. Enter the path under "Stylesheet URI:" and select the check box which says "Force use of External Stylesheet".

Dump in Webdynpro abap. CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES

Hi ,
my requirement is to copy the clip board data and bring that to internal table.
i have created the Function module for that inside that i have used CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>CLIPBOARD_IMPORT method.
My function module is working fine when i executed in se37. i used the same FM in a Se38 program and its working fine there also.
but when i used the same in webdynpro component it is giving dump.
Can any one help me !!!

WDA does't have clipboad Functions & you cannot use the CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES because of the below reason
The class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES supports the SAP GUI for Windows, the SAP GUI for the Java Environment and the SAP GUI for HTML. WebDynpro applications are not supported.

alternatively you can achive using ABAP memory
creat a button for COPY ..inside that Export the value to the memory ID
and create a button for paste and import the value using the memory ID
