Webdynpro upload

hi all,
can i compress webdynpro project to par file or others,that i can upload to EP,not delpoly directly my nwdi
best regards
zlf

Simple answer? No... PAR files are archive files for portal applications. They have no relation to Web Dynpro applications.  WDJ apps can run without a portal being present, so they are deployed directly or indirectly via SDM. NWDS "knows" how to do this, so you can do it from there ot use NWDI or JSPM or SDM directly.
It is possible to deploy PAR files through SDM by making them into SCA files.

  • Offline Adobe Interactive Form Upload options - CRM 2007 sp4

    CRM 2007 sp 4 Adobe Interactive Forms requirement
    We intend to develop an Offline Adobe Interactive form which we are going to pass to Outlook through Groupware Integration to represent a customer visit to enable our sales people to record customer visits whilst in the field
    Once the visit details have been saved to the offiline form the data in the form needs to be submitted to our system.  From what i can see we have three options for this to take place: by Email / WebServices / WebDynpro-Upload can be used to post the data back to the CRM system.
    What are the pros and cons of the three upload options?
    Which is the easiest to implement?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your replies.
    As per your replies, what i understand is : in the form properties, i have mapped the data source to context node (my data node) and pdfsource to (xstring content). And the template source should be mapped to the form name. Is this so?
    If yes, i have tried this and i m able to see the form now.
    But lets say, if they upload any other form, then this will lead to dump, isnt it ? Since the form template is mapped with a form name.
    In wd java examples,. they mapped it as 'View.Form.xdp', i thought that the template soruce is dynamically gets mapped.
    Any pointers on this, this would help.
    Thanks,

  • How much effort in developing an offline adobe interactive form - crm 2007

    We have a requirement to develop an offline adobe interactive form in crm 2007 sp4.  The form will be linked with a visit transaction and when saved will also facilittae the transfer of the form from crm to outlook via groupware integration.  From what i can see we have the following steps which will need to be implemented.
    1 - Develop web service to pull information from the created visit to the Offline Adobe Interactive Form
    2 - Create an Adobe interactive Form template to hold the details of the visit
    3 - Set up Groupware Integration to pass the form from CRM to Outook (DONE)
    4 - Develop some approach for uploading the form data back to the CRM server (of which there appears to be three approaches - Submit by Email / WebServices / WebDynpro-Upload )
    The form itself is not going to be too detailed.  It will be prepopulated with the following fields:
    Account No, Account Name, Contact, Date, Time, Transaction No, Transaction Category.  It will also have a number of text fields which will be used to capture the details of the visit.  It will have a submit button to allow for the data to be uploaded by the appropriate upload method.
    Can anyone give me some guidance as to how long it would take to implement such a requirement.
    Thanks in advance

  • How to upload a file in R/3 system through RFC using WebDynpro Java

    Hi There,
    we need to pass a file(mostly xml) using file upload feature in Webdynpro and then need to pass the file in R/3 system using RFC. What should be importing parameters for RFC and how should i implement the fileUploadUi in this case.
    I have already seen example of how to add this in a table input form.
    Any pointers will be great help.

    Use this code to convert the file content to bytes in WDJ:
    Apart from the resource context attribute create a context attribute of type binary.
    get the data from resource & convert it to binary & pass that to RFC. U can use this code for conversion
    byte fileData[] = null;
    try{
    InputStream fileIs = wdContext.currentAttachCVElement().getFileData().read(false);
    ByteArrayOutputStream bOut = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    int length;
    byte[] part = new byte10 * 1024;
    while ((length = fileIs.read(part)) != -1) {
    bOut.write(part, 0, length);
    fileIs.close();
    fileData = bOut.toByteArray();
    bOut.close();
    } catch (Exception e) {
    wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess(e.toString());
    Here getFileData reffers to the attribute of type resource. rest of the code u can use directly.
    Use this code in your R/3 function module to convert the data.
    *" VALUE(XCONTENT) TYPE XSTRING OPTIONAL
    OUTSTRING TYPE STRING,
    CONV TYPE REF TO CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE.
    Convert data passed from WD Application.
    CONV = CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE=>CREATE( INPUT = XCONTENT ).
    CONV->READ( IMPORTING DATA = OUTSTRING ).
    SPLIT OUTSTRING AT CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>CR_LF INTO TABLE IT_DATA.
    DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM IT_DATA.
    Let me know if you run into issues, please award points accordingly.

  • Uploading data from Interactive form in Webdynpro ABAP

    Hello All,
    I am uploading data from an Offline interactive form to an ABAP WebDynpro application. Form is first downloaded, data is filled and now I am trying to upload the form to another WebDynpro application. Form DataSource is mapped to Context node with same data structure. However when I upload the form, form data does not pass automatically to specified context node.
    Do I miss any important step in between? I am on SAP NetWeaver 2004s SP10.
    Thanks,
    Nitesh Shelar.

    hi,
    the data is automatically passed to the context when the "interactive form" UI element is there in the view.
    when you just upload the pdf, just like that, it will treat it like a PDF file, not an interactive form....
    try using the same interactive form which you used to create the offline form.
    i hope this helps,

  • Document Upload into Webdynpro and transfer to SAP R/3?

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a requirement to offer a Document uploading option through Java webdynpro screen.
    I have referred the below link
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/00062266-3aa9-2910-d485-f1088c3a4d71
    which has the steps till uploading the document into Webdynpro
    And also I need to offer an option of listing the attachments(that have been attached by the end user into to the JAVA webdynpro form) with the DELETE option ,How to do that?
    Now my requirement is to pass the document into SAP R/3? is there any RFC for that?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Dharani

    Hi Dharani,
    If we want to add Excel into Java webdynpro screen, then we are trying to create a table with invidual cells. This can be easily possible at Java Portal Perspective using Jakarta HSSF POI API.
    But we require at Webdynpro so , we can use the Context  feature available at Webdynpro to load the table. now we can load the table data into an excel and we can display it to end users in the form of Excel..
    to achieve this functionality pls use the below link
    Exporting table data to MS-Excel Sheet(enhanced Web Dynpro Binary Cache)
    Just in case if u need to achive through Portal Perspcetive in NWDS pls use this.
    Create an excel file from JAVA using HSSF api
    the advantage of these two methods is we can create mutable tables i.e. each cell of the table is accessable and can be modifed with using the code.
    Hope this will be helpful.

  • Upload / Open a Word Document from BDS with WebDynpro

    Hello,
    we use the BDS (Business Document Server) to storage our word files. Now we use WebDynpro with the UI OfficeControl.
    Could any one tell me, how to open/upload my documents from BDS with the OfficeControl.
    The UI FileUpload does not work, because it is not allowed to use specify URLs. link:[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/b3/be7941601b1d09e10000000a155106/frameset.htm]
    For example that is the URL from the BDS: "SAPR3://SAPR3CMS/get/100/BDS_5FDB2_5FR/7B3AAF5B22AAD21197ED0060B0672A3C/Forminterface.doc"
    I use the class "CL_BDS_DOCUMENT_SET" with the method "get_with_url". result is above.
    Each example with the OfficeControl from SAP (Package SIOS) use the Mime Repository:
    mime_repository = cl_mime_repository_api=>get_api( ).
      CALL METHOD mime_repository->get
        EXPORTING
          i_url     = url
        IMPORTING
          e_content = content.
      wd_context->set_attribute( name = 'DATAS' value = content ).
    Have any one an idea, how BDS and WebDynpro works together

    What about getting the binary of the word document from BDS and download this?
    Yes, it exist a method calls "get_with_table". This return the binary path from my url above.
    Here is my source code:
    public attributes
    DATA oi_document TYPE REF TO if_ios_wordprocessing.
    DATA oi_factory TYPE REF TO if_ios_factory.
    METHOD wddomodifyview .
    DATA ol_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
    DATA ol_office TYPE REF TO cl_wd_office_control.
    DATA vl_document TYPE xstring.
    short from
      vl_document = myBDS->get_with_table( ).
    Settings for UI OFFICE_CONTROL
      ol_node = wd_context->get_child_node( 'OFFICE' ).
      ol_node->set_attribute( name = 'DATASET' value = vl_document ).
    get the office control
      wd_this->oi_office ?= view->get_element( 'OFFICE_CONTROL' ).
    get the IOS Factory
          wd_this->oi_factory ?= ol_office->_method_handler.
    get proxy document
          wd_this->oi_factory->get_wordprocessing_proxy(
          IMPORTING proxy = wd_this->oi_document  ).
    CALL METHOD wd_this->oi_document->if_ios_document~opendocument( ).
    ENDMETHOD.
    When I compile everything is ok. But when I run my application, it nothing happen. No word file is opening or no error message. I create a ALC trace (SAPNOTE 949770).
    Each time when I try to open my word file comes a popup-window from the alc-trace:
    ERRO|20081024143529|WD86_1300|CIOS_GeneralDocumentContainer_Acf::| STG_E_READFAULT  : readaccess|HRESULT=-2147287010(     A disk error occurred during a read operation)

    But I have access to the BDS and to the document.

  • Upload / Download document to KM Content Server from WebDynpro Application

    I have a requirement where I need to upload / download document into / from KM Content Server from my WebDynpro Application.
    Is it technically possible and if Yes, can I get any Sample code for this.

    Hi Tahzeeb,
    first of all i would point you to the JavaDocs for KMC API.
    https://media.sdn.sap.com/javadocs/NW04/SPS15/km/index.html
    And here is a small example of reading and storing KM resources.
    For reading:
         * Returns a resource as an InputStream from the KM repository
         * at the given path. The IUser is needed for authorization.
         * @param user      IUser for checking authorisation.
         * @param resPath   Path to the KM resource.
         * @return          Requested resource as a stream.
        private InputStream getKmResource(final IUser user, final String resPath)
            throws ResourceAccessException {
            try {
                final IResourceFactory factory = ResourceFactory.getInstance();
                final RID rid = RID.getRID(resPath);
                final IResource kmResource =
                    factory.getResource(
                        rid,
                        new ResourceContext(getDeprecatedIUser(user)));
                if (kmResource == null) {
                    throw new ResourceNotFoundException(
                        "KM resource not found: " + resPath,
                        resPath);
                return kmResource.getContent().getInputStream();
            catch (WcmException e) {
                throw new ResourceAccessException("Error accessing KM resource: " + resPath, e, resPath);
    And for writing:
         * Stores a resource in the KM repository at the given path with the given name and mimetype.
         * Content is taken from the given inputstream.
         * @param user          IUser for checking authorisation.
         * @param resName   Name of the resource
         * @param resPath     Path to the resource
         * @param mimeType MimeType of the resource
         * @param inputStream  Resource content
         * @throws ResourceAccessException
        private void putKmResource(
            final IUser user,
            final String resName,
            final String resPath,
            final String mimeType,
            final InputStream inputStream)
            throws ResourceAccessException {
            try {
                final ResourceContext rContext = new ResourceContext(getDeprecatedIUser(user));
                final RID rid = RID.getRID(resPath);
                final ICollection kmCollection =
                    (ICollection) ResourceFactory.getInstance().getResource(rid, rContext);
                if (kmCollection == null) {
                    throw new ResourceNotFoundException(
                        "KM resource not found: " + resPath,
                        resPath);
                else {
                    IContent kmContent = new Content(inputStream, mimeType, -1);
                    IResource kmResource = kmCollection.createResource(resName, null, kmContent);
            catch (ResourceException e) {
                throw new ResourceAccessException("Error accessing KM resource: " + resPath, e, resPath);
            finally {
                try {
                    inputStream.close();
                catch (IOException e1) {

    Hope that helps for a start.

  • How to upload and store attachments to an object in ABAP Webdynpro ?

    Hi all,
    I would like to upload file attachments of various types to a document within SAP (in this case Expense Reports), using Webdynpro ie. The attachment belongs to a particular expense report.  So each document , whether Word, Text, Bitmap etc. would be accessible thereafter by an Expense Report number.
    In SAPGUI, we have the powerful function module GOS_ATTACHMENT_LIST_POPUP which takes a user-defined object key to create and change documents.
    I'm trying to find an equivalent interface for this in WDynpro. I looked at the component WDK_POWL_WF_DETAIL, but this seems to be suited to Workflow. Can anyone out there give some further tips or examples around this ?
    Regards,
    Gabriel

    Upload using the com.oreilly.servlets package- I don't recall the exact method for using this but it is pretty easy.
    Check the file size and type on upload. Only accept gifs and jpgs smaller than 50k (standard for web- go above this if you like but will take time to download and possibly annoy users.)
    Use AWT to create standard size thumbnails of the pictures or to standardize them so they will fit on the page properly.
    Write the images to the requisite directory. I would suggest giving them a name which matches them directly with the record id number (such as catalogueitem1.jpg) or submit the image name to the database.
    If you are serving on Unix you will need Xvfb or something like it running on your server for AWT to work.
    To display it just take the value from the database and add it to the filename, e.g. :
    <img src="/catalogue/catalogueitem<%=databaseid%>.jpg">
    I'm afraid the code I do this with at the moment is very poor and you will do a lot better with a little research into the topic than trying to follow what I have written.
