WebForm_InitCallback causes empty stackspace javascript error in SP2013 in 2010-mode

Hello there,
I have a SharePoint 2013 environment with a site collection running in 2010 mode.
(My project is working in 2010 and 2013 as 2013 mode, I tested it in the same WebApplication and the same AppPool.)
I have a RadPane / RadTreeView / ContextMenu.
When I cause a AJAX-call by moving the a splitter, expanding a pane, opening the context menu or whatever belonging to my custom user control a call is caused, the server
is successfully proceeding the ajax request but on callback I get a recursive call of WebForm_InitCallback (_layouts/1031/init.debug.js) and Controls disappear.
Here is the snippet that makes problems out of the init.debug.js: http://pastebin.com/gCTNLeTm
The exception is thrown at the position marked with ****. The error
in IE10 (document mode 9) is "Not enough stack space". In IE10 with document mode IE8 the error is "This object doesn't support this property or method."
Please help me, I'm stuck :(

Did you get the issue fixed? if yes please share your findings, I have the same issue.
Thanks

  • Javascript error caused by TabNavigator with Flash 9.0.60.235?

    Hi all,
    I recently upgraded from Flex 3 beta 1 to beta 2. As part of
    hte install I upgraded from Flash 9.0.47.0 to 9.0.60.235 (to get
    the debug popup to stop from appearing). Since this install,
    anytime I run a Flex app containing a TabNavigator, it gives me a
    Javascript error upon
    closing the browser:
    Line: 1
    Char: 70
    Error: Expected ')'
    Code: 0
    This occurs in IE 6. It happens even in my production
    applications (which are still Flex 3 beta 1). So it seems to be a
    Flash 9.0.60.235 problem. Has anyone else seen this yet? I can't
    imagine why having a TabNavigator could cause some random
    Javascript problem...
    Any help or thoughts is greatly appreciated!
    Jason

    dolinja,
    Does it do this with all projects, or just a few? What about
    if you create an empty project file with just a TabNavigator, do
    you still see the JavaScript error?

  • Internet Explorer MS04-038 patch causes javascript error in EP5 SP4

    The problem in a nutshell that we are experiencing is that the portal Top Level Navigation returns a 'permission denied' javascript error. This is stemming from Microsoft's Internet Explorer Patch MS04-038 <i>(MS04-038 Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer
    This update addresses 8 vulnerabilities in systems running Microsoft Internet Explorer [all supported versions], all of which can allow an attacker to take complete control of the system.  Microsoft has rated this patch as CRITICAL).</i>  We also can't get IE to recognize that the portal is a trusted site.
    Any help would be appreciated!

    It's a known problem, and can cause symptoms besides the one you mention, as described in
    SAP Note 785308. Solutions and work arounds will be documented in this note as soon as they
    are available:
    <http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/012006153200001521102004E.ITF>.
    This Note applies to EP5 and EP6, as well as ITS, BSPs, and Visual Composer.
    The latest advice in the Note is, "do not apply MS Security Hotfix KB834707". Information on

    Thank you,

    Check your popup page. You probably have an after-processing branch defined which will redirect to your original page. That is not necessarily bad, although i usually set it to redirect to the same page when using a popup. What will probably not work for you is the success message selector. If you defined "#success-message" as the auto-close selector, this means that the plugin will look for an element on the page in the popup for an element which matches this selector.
    - What did you define for auto-close selector
    - And on the page you redirect to after-processing of the form, how is the success message defined there
    If (IF) you have set #success-message as the auto-close selector, and the popup is not closing, then this would mean that the popup message on the page does not match this selector!

  • While executing applyServerBehaviour in ShowifRSNotEmpty.htm, a JavaScript error occurred?

    Hi forum,
    Long time no post!
    Well, I've been trying out mySQL and Dreamweaver. I've found a book called Dreamweaver MX 2004 Design Projects and I am trying to write and get working Allan Kent's News Portal site as it seems to have all the things I want to learn in it.
    However, my question is this:
    When I have put in this code:
    <p>
      <span class="Headline"><?php echo $row_rstLatestNews['news_headline']; ?></span><br />
      <img src="showimage.php?show=icon&story=1" class="imgLeft" width="60" height="60" />
      <?php echo
    $row_rstLatestNews['news_pk']; ?>"    <?php echo
    $row_rstLatestNews['news_icon_meta']; ?>  /><?php echo
    $row_rstLatestNews['news_precis']; ?><br />
    <a href="news.php?story=<?php echo
    $row_rstLatestNews['news_pk']; ?>" class="More">Read More</a>
    </p>
    and then highlight all of the <p> to </p> (i.e. everything above) and apply show region if recordset Not Empty Server Behaviour
    it says:
    "While executing applyServerBehaviour in ShowifRSNotEmpty.htm, a JavaScript error occurred."
    what does this mean?
    why is it doing this?
    Please help!

    tomcausland wrote:
    I did this and it didn't work, I deleted the file and then it generated a new one.
    Yes, it will generate a new one. That's the idea of deleting the one that has become corrupted. However, if it didn't fix the problem, it could mean that an extension is causing problems. The next stage is to delete or rename your personal configuration folder. Doing so reverts Dreamweaver back to all its default settings, and should clear any problem. However, your later comments suggest the problem might lie elsewhere.
    May I ask, what is SQL injection and what is insecure code?
    Sure, you can ask, but a quick Google search would bring you the answer much quicker than waiting for me to have time to reply. Read the following page, and you'll understand what SQL injection is and why code vulnerable to is is insecure: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sql_injection.
    The exercise to create a news website uses server behaviours. I have gone through the exercise and it didn't seem to work properly. So I went through and tried reapplying server behaviours and this is when I get the error message opening and closing the server behaviours. When it happens once it happens to all of them so I have to reboot DW.
    I have read that server behaviours have a logical order on a web page and changing one effects the operation of others.
    Server behaviors are simply PHP code that has been generated automatically by Dreamweaver. When applied correctly, they should work without problem. However, a lot of people use them without understanding any of the code generated by Dreamweaver. That's when problems arise. If you make a mistake, you can't just select things in Design view and press Delete. To remove a server behavior cleanly, you need to select its name in the Server Behaviors panel, and click the minus button.
    Also, I know that Allan's instructions involve editing server behavior code. Once you do so, Dreamweaver usually no longer recognizes it as a server behavior, so you need to edit the code entirely in Code view. If you're not sure what you're doing, problems can again arise. I would suggest wiping the page clean, and starting again.
    Allan is an experienced author and PHP developer, so I assume that his instructions are correct. However, mistakes do occur in books. I see there is no errata page for that book, but that doesn't mean it's free of mistakes. I submitted corrections to a couple of my books several months ago, but friends of ED hasn't bothered to put them on its website. You can download the example files for that book. If there's a set of complete files, test them in a browser. Then compare your files with the author's.

  • Konductor javascript errors in DW CS4

    I have just installed the konductor extension (for allowing content management by my clients) and I can't get it to work. All I get is javascript errors. And the konductor properties panel isn't functioning - none of the editing options I can choose from show up there. I set up a test site following the (limited) instructions that are available, put a couple of editable divs on a page, and tried to define the settings for them. Here are some of the error messages I am getting:
    I am a designer; I know very little about code. Can anyone help me get the extension to work properly?

    Hey Kalynn, it doesn't seem like you are doing anything wrong, you are following all the correct steps.
    I tried following the same steps on Mac OS 10.6.3, Konductor Extension 1.1.1, but could not replicate the error. These are steps I followed, let me know if I did something differently to yourself:
    Select the Sites > New Konductor Site > Empty Site... menu item and enter relevant details
    Select the File > New... menu item, select Blank Template, select HTML Template, select <none>, then click Create
    Switch to Split View, then create 2 div elements (I just did this quickly in the code)
    Select each div element in the design section, select the Insert > Template Objects > Editable Region menu item and enter relevant name
    Select the editable region in the design portion. At this point, the Konductor Property Inspector shouldn't show up (Due to the split view thing)
    Switch to Design View. This step used to cause an error, but this was resolved a while back. I want to make sure it hasn't cropped up again...
    Deslect the editable region, then reselect it. For me, the Konductor Property Inspector now displays.
    After this, I rotated though a few different views and selection states, but could not trigger an error. I may have done something differently though, or there may be something different in my environment.
    I know this sounds like the classic "have you rebooted your computer" question, but have you tried uninstalling the extension through Extension Manager, and then reinstalling the extension? Also, was the extension installed before Dreamweaver was run for the first time?
    Let me know if I did anything differently and just quick yes / no answers to the above questions if you like. If these don't lead to a solution, I'll send you a special build the will help us fix the problem.
    Thanks again helping us out with this!

  • CF8 Tags Javascript Error

    I just got my sites moved to CF8 from CF7.
    I am starting to experiment with the new CF8 features and I
    started with the most basic - simply adding a CFDIV or CFWINDOW tag
    to an otherwise empty page.
    It appears that the addition of this tag this causes CF to
    add a bunch of Javascript to the page, including the line of code:
    "ColdFusion.Ajax.importTag('CFDIV');".
    That line of code is throwing a Javascript error of:
    "ColdFusion is not defined".
    I am unsure if this is an indication that I am doing
    something wrong in my code or if I need to contact my server admins
    because there might be something wrong with the CF settings or load
    on the server. Has anyone else run into this sort of thing?

    I suspect you don't have a web mapping for the
    [coldfusion]/CFIDE dir? You
    either need to have that directory web-accessible, or use
    <cfajaximport> to
    tell CF to use a copy of the files from another directory.

  • Javascript error calling a bi 7.0 webapplication from a bsp application

    Hi everyone,
    This is the scenario we're facing a javascript error :
    Enterprise Portal is calling a custom bsp application ( via an iview in the enterprise portal ) in the bi system with a parameter "template_id" and a value, which is the technical name of a bi web application.
    The bsp application is evaluating the parameter by some custom code and creating a html page with a redirect or a maintenance message to the bi web application passed with the parameter "template_id".
    The html link to the bi web application is created according to this documentation :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/46/03d4ac801467e6e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
    Purpose of the bsp application :
    in the bi system there is a database table to maintain a flag for each webtemplate and infocube, which should not be called via the enterprise portal for a certain time ( some kind of maintenance switch ). The bsp application then decides to show a maintenance page for the called webtemplate or to send the redirect page to the client.
    The process described above is :
    working with the bi 7.01 sp7 in the bi ( enterprise portal sp22 ) in the productive system.
    working in the Q&A system bi 7.01 sp8 with bi 3.5 web applications.

    Hello everyone,
    we did some further analysis on this problem und we think we found the problem.
    The error occurs while trying to execute the standard url for web templates inside a Enterprise Portal Frame, for example
    https://XXX:XXX/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?TEMPLATE=XXX
    While executing the URL a HTML-Page with some embeded Javascript-code is sent back to the browser.
    In this Javascrip-Code, the method-call "dsmObj.registerAll" leads to a script error in Internet Explorer.
    dsmObj.registerAll("pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.ip.bi/iViews/com.sap.ip.bi.bex", "GUSID:6FC9SuhGDPIMMLwOdeHEIg--_7WQud13yeLJDz2kYoQFSg--", "1307605928212");
    In SP7, the method "dsmObj.registerFullKey" is called instead of "dsmObj.registerAll". This has changed in SP8.
    dsmObj.registerFullKey("GUSID:iBPvyska9*xE_JBalkQG2g--YyKv2C3NToP0I79Mw7EO8w--", "1307606479963");
    The object "dsmObj" seems to reference the parent frame of the Enterprise Portal.
    Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas how we can fix this?
    Kind regards,
    Matthias

  • Dreamweaver 6 launch error - JavaScript error bcinit

    Hi
    I have DW6 latest version running on Win XP SP3 and am all of a sudden getting the strangest bug (I have reported it), but I am wondering if anyone else has seen it or has any ideas how to fix it?
    FYI I have already tried completely uninstalling Creative Cloud, rebooting, running the Creative Clean utility to remove all traces of any suite and then reinstalling Creative Cloud (takes hours ) and still have the same problem which is as follows below (FWIW I have never used BusinessCatalyst, either):
    I launch DW and get the following error message "While executing onLoad in BusinessCatalyst.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred: In file "BusinessCatalyst": bcinit is not defined"
    When I try to open a file I get the following error message "The following translators were no loaded due to errors: ASP.NET: has configuration information that is invalid. BCDynamicTranslator.html: has configuration data that is invalid. BCStaticTranslator.html has configuration information that is invalid. XSLTransform.htm: has configuration data that is invalid"
    Once I clear the dialog DW loads. However, when I attempt to save a file I then get the message "While executing onLoad in _beforeSave.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred: In file "_beforeSave": beforeSave is not defined"
    In addition, the space in the Help menu for Updates is simply blank and there is no Edit > Paste item either (just an empty space).
    One other clue is that after I reinstalled Creative Cloud and BEFORE I applied the latest updates it seemed DW ran OK (it was a quick check, so I might be wrong).
    The problems above are rendering DW unuseable to me at the moment, and it is totally bizarre they remain after a complete reinstall, so any clues on what has happened/how to fix it would be greatfully received!
    Thanks!

    Hi John
    So many thanks for that. I tried step 4 and deleted 2 WinFileCache files (neither of which were called what they said they were) and restarted DW and it now (so far!) seems to work again.
    I have no idea what went wrong, but I am up and running again, so MUCHOS thanks again for your swift repsonse!

  • Dreamweaver 6.1 - JavaScript error when switching between open tabs

    When switching between open tabs a sequence of javascript
    errors occurs. I had not used Dreamweaver for about 2 weeks, and
    last time I used it with no problems.
    I have tried uninstalling it, OKing removal of all files when
    asked, re-installing it and updating with dwmx61_updater.exe, but I
    still get the same errors.
    This has rendered the software virtually unuseable, so any
    help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm working to a
    rapidly-approaching deadline.
    "While executing Browse_Back enabled in toolbars.xml, a
    JavaScript error occurred"
    followed by
    "While executing Browse_Forward enabled in toolbars.xml, a
    JavaScript error occurred"
    followed by
    "While executing Browse_Stop enabled in toolbars.xml, a
    JavaScript error occurred"
    The relevant code seems to be :
    <!-- Browser nav toolbar -->
    <toolbar id="Browser_Toolbar" platform="win"
    label="Browser Navigation" container="document"
    initiallyVisible="false">
    <button id="Browse_Back"
    image="Toolbars/images/MM/back.gif"
    disabledImage="Toolbars/images/MM/back_dis.gif"
    tooltip="Back"
    label="Back"
    enabled="dw.getDocumentDOM().browser.isCmdEnabled('back')"
    command="dw.getDocumentDOM().browser.backPage()"
    update="onEveryIdle"/>
    <button id="Browse_Forward"
    image="Toolbars/images/MM/forward.gif"
    disabledImage="Toolbars/images/MM/forward_dis.gif"
    tooltip="Forward"
    label="Forward"
    enabled="dw.getDocumentDOM().browser.isCmdEnabled('forward')"
    command="dw.getDocumentDOM().browser.forwardPage()"
    update="onEveryIdle"/>
    <button id="Browse_Stop"
    image="Toolbars/images/MM/stop.gif"
    disabledImage="Toolbars/images/MM/stop_dis.gif"
    tooltip="Stop"
    label="Stop"
    enabled="dw.getDocumentDOM().browser.getPageBusy()"
    command="dw.getDocumentDOM().browser.stopPage()"
    update="onBrowserPageBusyChange"/>
    <button id="Browse_Refresh"
    image="Toolbars/images/MM/browserRefresh.gif"
    tooltip="Refresh"
    label="Refresh"
    enabled="true"
    command="dw.getDocumentDOM().browser.refreshPage()"/>
    presumably the next error is caused by the previous ones
    failing :
    "While executing getCurrentValue in AddressURL.htm, a
    JavaScript error occurred"
    the relevan tcode :
    function getCurrentValue()
    var dom = dw.getDocumentDOM();
    var value = dom.browser.getURL();
    if (value && value.length)
    //check if is it not a temp file
    //extract the tail of the url
    var filename = value;
    var slashIndex = filename.lastIndexOf("/");
    filename = filename.substring(slashIndex+1);
    var tempIndex = filename.indexOf("TMP");
    if (tempIndex != 0)
    addRecentAddress(value);
    return value;

    You can try this simple fix -
    Quit DW.
    Find this folder -
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
    (these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
    Explorer > Tools >
    Folder Options to unhide them)
    and delete it.
    Restart DW. Works better?

  • Javascript error when creating a new OC4J instance?

    Hi
    Im trying to deploy the documentum portlet, and a requirement was to install Ant, Java SDK....and i did
    after that...on my Application server machine (the portal), when i login to the enterprise manager to start a new OC4j instance, my browser shows a script error in the status bar in IE 6.0.
    it says: Object expected, ....and whenever i click "Create OC4j instance" the page is scrolled up to the top part of the page. so there is some kind of javascript error. how can i fix this? its stopping me from my development process.
    Your help is appreciated. thanks
    Faisal[b]

    On Windows this is caused most often by the temporary directory setting.
    Change the temporary directory to some fixed directory writable by anybody, e.g. "C:\temp".
    Change this in:
    Registry entry: hkey_local_machine\software\oracle\key_<oashome>\REPORTS_TMP
    <oashome>\opmn\conf\opmn.xml: search for environment variable TEMP (under ias-instance)
    Good luck!

  • What are the reasons for following Javascript error in Report Viewer

    Post Author: dhuka
    CA Forum: Crystal Reports
    Hello Everybody!
    I am using Crystal Reports 10 in my web application. But unfortunately I am surrounded with strange problem related to it because of which I have been unable to deploy is on client-side. In my application the error given below is displayed as javascript error in Report Viewer and report is not displayed. But more frustrating part is that I am getting the same error due to different problem with reporting and I am stuck with it as I am unable to figure out what's causing the error now. Earlier this error appeared due to problem with parameter passing to stored procedure which I resolved it and error vanished but once again it has shown up. Moreover this error now appears less frequently and randomly therefore it is even difficult to trace the cause.
    Problem with this Web page might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly. In the future, you can display this message by double-clicking the warning icon displayed in the status bar.
    Line: 40Char: 12Error: Expected ')'Code: 0URL: http://myServer/myApp/myForms/myReports/ReportViewer.aspx
    So can anybody tell me what factors might be causing this errors as the error text is very vague in nature and gives no idea about the actual error.
    Guys, I hope for your kind co-operation.
    Regards,

    Thanks for you reply Krishna.
    But this syntax error is the one that is creating problem for me as I cannot trace it. The form ReportViewer.aspx contains only a report viewer object which remains un-binded to any ReportDocument even at runtime.
    At code behind ReportViewer.aspx I have code below that associates SQL Stored Procedure Parameter and Report Filter along with report name. Once all above is associated with ReportDocument, I export ReportDocument to PDF file format and display the report. Here I dont' even bind ReportDocument with my ReportViewer. Moreover, as I mentioned previously this error is encountered randomly (with no reasonable explanation so far) on client PC (while browsing through application).
    I hope below code give you good idea of the way I am implementing my reporting.
    Looking forward to you solution. Please note that I am only passing the ReportFileName and Parameter and Filter Criteria to this form while dataTable by itself using the connection information.

  • "ReferenceError: prepareFFB is not defined" I started getting this JavaScript error recently whenever I start Firefox. I would like to stop getting this error

    I get the following JavaScript error every time I start Firefox:
    ReferenceError: prepareFFB is not defined.

    hello, this sounds like it's possibly caused by an addon. do you have any extension/theme installed, you can connect the "FFB" to? if not try disabling them all in firefox > addons > extensions & reenable them one by one to find out which of them might be causing the error message.
