Weblogic 10.3.5 standalone, jdk 1.8, tls 1.2 settings

Hi,
I installed 64 sun jdk on redhat and installed jdeveloper+standalone weblogic server 10.3.5.  Then I wanted to enable tls 1.2 and read jdk 1.8 by default uses it.  So I installed jdk 8 and changed setDomainEnv.sh and made it use jdk 8.  Still it was not using tls 1.2.  Then I also tried setup few more properties.
JAVA_OPTIONS="${JAVA_OPTIONS} -Dweblogic.security.SSL.minimumProtocolVersion=TLSv1.2 -Dweblogic.ssl.JSSEEnabled=true -Dssl.debug=true -Djavax.net.debug=all"
Still its not picking up.
I tried enabling the ssl logs and am attaching server logs if it can give some idea.

Hope logs give you idea on whats happening why tls 1.2 is not picket up.

Hi,
I earlier had set that property to TLSv1.2 in first message you can also check and that did not work and now I also tested using TLSv1.1 as you suggested and still it shows TLS1.0 only.  is there some way I can disable TLS1.0, 1.1 ?

  • Weblogic console not work after JDK reinstalled

    Hi all:
After i reinstalled JDK 1.3.1, the weblogic console doesn't work any
more. Previously i am using jdk1.3, and the console works.
Weblogic server itself can run without any effect. But now when i
click console in windows startup menu, the error msg is "WEblogic Err

After i copied javai.dll into the every possible folder, it still
    compliants this error.
What is happenning here? Do i have to reinstall weblogic? Actullay i
try to do that, but weblogic asks me to remove the previous installation
first, and make sure to remove some windows registration

Does any one know how to get around this? Seems the sonsole is using

Ok, partly i solved the problem. Now i can run weblogic console by using
startconcole.cmd file, not the other one called weblogic\bin\wlconsolew.exe
    (although previously i can).
    Don't know what caused this.
    Thanks.

I have amended the C:\bea\weblogic700\server\bin\startWLS.cmd and C:\bea\weblogic700\server\bin\setWLSEnv.cmd to point to a jdk.1.4.1_07 install and I get the following error when I try starting the server. • Access to weblogic 10.3 with  a jdk 1.3 client?

We have an old software with a framework based on jdk 1.3 that we don't want to update.
Is there a chance to connect to the Weblogic Server from that jdk 1.3 Application?!

You may run into incompatible class versions issue. Basically you have altogehter 2 different JVMs. One for EJBs (utility framework as you defiined using 1.3). Another JVM is weblogic server using JDK 1.6 where you have Client to remotely access those EJBs methods. Going back, when you generate the client stubs and skeletons, and refer them on your client side, did you ran into any issues like with incompatible class versions.

  • WebLogic 4.5.1.5, JDK 1.2.2, And HotSpot VM

    Hi.
I am running WebLogic 4.5.1.5 under Solaris 2.6. I am using JDK 1.2.2
with HotSpot. When we shutdown our server, it essentially crashes with
    the following error:
    # HotSpot Virtual Machine Error, Unexpected Signal 11
    # Error happened during: mark sweep
    # Error ID: 4F533F534F4C415249530E4350500BC2 01
After looking into the problem, we found that it is easily recreatable,
    simply
by (1) starting the server, (2) hitting any web page (which causes
    FileServlet
to be loaded), and (3) shutting down the server.
I have attached a tail of my log file as evidence.
Anybody else seen this problem? Is it a Weblogic/HotSpot compatibility
    problem?
    Thanks.

  • Weblogic 5.1 SP10 with JDK 1.3 as NT Service

I'm trying to set up Weblogic to run as an NT service. I set the configuration using wlconfig.exe then ran install.exe and it installs and starts with no error but I know that the weblogic server has not started because there is nothing in the weblogic.log file. If I try to manually run wlserver.exe I get this error:
    Java Ver: 1.3 C:\Cybrant572\_AppServer\jdk1.3

I am also getting the same error. I had jdk1.2.2 earlier and when i installed
jdk1.3, i used wlconfig to change the JAVA_HOME. that was the only change i did.
It is giving error. wlconfig says JAVA_HOME is c:\jdk1.3

i run wlserver.exe and then wrap that with srvany utility from msoft -
therefore running weblogic as a service.
to get wlserver to run with sp9 the registry needed changing
    hkeylocalmachine\software\weblogic\5.1.0
    needed changing to
    hkeylocalmachine\software\weblogic\5.1.0sp9
so maybe you should try 5.1.0sp10
try it - it's easy enough to change back.

  • Problem in deploying EJBs (More than 390) in weblogic-BEA says JDK issue!!!

Our application had 390 EJBs before the current build. It was running fine on Weblogic 6.1-SP4 with JDK 1.3.1_08.
In the current build, 3 EJBs were introduced and the Weblogic server started giving deployment problems. We then came across the Weblogic Bug stating the magic Number of 390 and delegating it to a SUN Bug. But, contrary to the SUN bug which says of a OutofMemory issue, we were not getting any OutOfMemory error.
Then, just to test the 390 number, we cut downed on the number of EJBs reducing the number to 388, in a test environment. EJBs got deployed without problem. Then we added 3 EJBs (increasing the EJB count to 391), and Weblogic server started giving Deployment problem in a EJB which was one of the 388 that were running fine earlier. But, now also there was no OutOfMemory error. Then we removed one of the newly added EJBs to bring the EJB count to 390. The Weblogic deployed the EJBs without error(even the one which was giving problem when EJB count was 391).
So, 390 seems to be the number but, contrary to BEA problem ID: 035884 which delegates the problem to SUN Bug ID:4390238 (Incidentally SUN has closed this bug as Non-reproducable), we are not getting any OutOfMemory error.
My questions to the JAVA community are:
1)Is the problem really related to JDK or Weblogic?
2)If it's a problem with JDK, then what should be done to fix it?

So, 390 seems to be the number but, contrary to BEA
problem ID: 035884 which delegates the problem to SUN
Bug ID:4390238 (Incidentally SUN has closed this bug
as Non-reproducable), we are not getting any
OutOfMemory error.Did you check the server logs? There might be an OutOfMemoryError logged.
My questions to the JAVA community are:
1)Is the problem really related to JDK or Weblogic?Apparently, the problem is with the Weblogic. Did you try deploying the same number on some higher version of Weblogic? (7.0 for instance)
2)If it's a problem with JDK, then what should be
done to fix it?Check the bug database for the same bug id. There is a workaround posted. The evaluation comments are also hinting at using the suggested VM options.

  • IBM JDK 6 32bit & 64bit Reflection Invoke issue on Weblogic 10.3

We just found a issue on Weblogic 10.3 with IBM JDK 6 32bit, which calls different method during reflection invoke with that been processed under 64bit JDK, here is my source code:
    public class ButtonTag extends InputTag {
    private boolean checkNotNull = false;
    public void setCheckNotNull(Object checkNotNull) {
    public void setCheckNotNull(boolean checkNotNull) {
    this.checkNotNull = checkNotNull;
    this.setUserSetCheckNotNull(true);
Under 64bit, reflection invoke will call setCheckNotNull(boolean checkNotNull), however under 32bit, it will call setCheckNotNull(Object checkNotNull), actually 32bit version is doing something wrong, we are not sure it is a issue of weblogic or IBM JDK, pls refer the information below for details, Thanks

  • When to use BPM Standalone and BPM on Weblogic Server?

    Hi,
    How are you?
We are starting a project that involves BEA BPM, I have a question regarding which installation flavor should we go for, what is the difference between how BPM works when using Weblogic or Stand alone, what advantages are given when installing it over weblogic vs installing the Standalone version?
    Thanx in Advanced!
    Kind Regards,
    Gerardo J

    Hi Gerardo:
There are a lot of considerations about your question. The main difference is clearly the Aplication Server, while a Standalone version have an imbebbed TOMCAT 5.5 , the WL version requires at least Weblogic Server 8.2.
First, there is an important question that you must answer:
Your organization architectonical deployment supports Weblogic products? (weblogic, service bus, tuxedo, etc.)
Do you have a service bus? Does your organization / project this requirement?
Has your organization TOMCAT experience /support?
How many concurrent users your solution intends to support?
Is there experience about BPM's development?
Try to solve this initial questions. The decision isn't about the product, is about how do you plan to solve your organization business and IT needs.
    Best regards,
    Carlos
    Translated
    Hola Gerardo:
    Saludos y suerte,
    Carlos.

  • Page with user role anonymous not loading on standalone weblogic server

    Friends,
I have gone through similar posts and still was unable to find a solution to my problem so thought of posting the problem myself
    Steps i followed
    - created a jsff page
    - created a taskflow and dropped the jsff page on it(considered option of granting anonymous role to taksflow and otherwise also)
    - created a jspx page and droped the taskflow as a region on it (the bindings are visible of the taskflow)
-granted the anonymous role to the jspx page and checked the view box under actions
-used the following code for page redirection from an image
    <af:goImageLink id="offerl1" targetFrame="_blank"
    destination="../cc/intRates.jspx"
    icon="/images/home/offer2.png"/>
The page is called on click of a link and smoothly opens in the integrated weblogic environment however on standalone server it give me the following error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.2 401 Unauthorized
    Checks i made
    - Compared the EAR file jazn.xml file with the jazn.xml file in jdeveloper
    - reviewed the system-data-jazn.xml file and confirmed entries of the application roles which matched the ones in jazn.xml file
Have been on for this issue for a while now.Would appreciate any help on this

    Hi,
I deployed your app to standalone and integrated servers both and I am able to navigate to the next page successfully by using the below URL:
    http://127.0.0.1:7101/NEA/faces/view1
Please note that view1 is the view id not the jspx page name, so you should not include .jspx page when working with taskflows

  • JVM crash upon webapp deployment to WebLogic 9.1

I have been tasked with taking a web application that has been working under WebLogic 6.1 and getting it to compile and run under WebLogic 9.1 (using Sun JDK/JRE 1.5). I resolved a few compile problems in Java sources (and commented out a few lines of JSP), made a few build script changes, and was able to compile the app. But as soon as I try to deploy it to WL 9.1 (via autodeploy), the WL process crashes with a HotSpot JVM error:
    Loading services...
    # An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:
    #  Internal Error (53484152454432554E54494D450E43505001A3), pid=6060, tid=5444
    # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.5.0_04-b05 mixed mode)
    # An error report file with more information is saved as hs_err_pid6060.log
    # If you would like to submit a bug report, please visit:
    #   http://java.sun.com/webapps/bugreport/crash.jsp
#The hs_err_pid file doesn't contain any clues that I can see; the report just shows that the error occurred somewhere in the VM code. The last line of my AdminServer.log contains:
<Module poll of application appsdiriCommonsPoll_ear successfully transitioned from STATE_PREPARED to STATE_ADMIN on server AdminServer.> (that ear is the application I'm dealing with.)
In the past, working with standalone Java programs, I have found many times that a VM crash is ultimately due to native code which caused a memory violation of some kind, but there is no native code in this app. I just started trying to figure out what could be causing this -- does anyone have any insights??
Thanks for any hints you might have. I'm running this on Win XP Pro, SP 2.
    - Chris

I just found that the BEA JRockit "R26" build (1.5.0_04) included with WL 9.1 does NOT crash when I start with this web app deployed, whereas the latest Sun 1.5 JVM (1.5.0_12) for Windows still crashes with the same error. Weird!
Looks like this could be a Sun JVM bug after all, much to my surprise. I'm not taking this as a foregone conclusion though, so if anyone has any other hints, I'm all ears. Thanks.

    Pl help.

    Hi Joe,
Can i use jdk1.3.1 version with weblogic 5.1 version to get rid of this problem or will this change in jvm will effect my existing production applications?
    -thanks

    Hi Joe,
Yes the same code put into jsp scriplet is also
    throwing the error
    "java.lang.IllegalMonitorStateException: current
thread not owner".It would be really wonderfull if
you can get some info on the stacktrace. The version
of jdk we are using is jdk1.2.2, is the problem
anyway related with the jdk version as the standalone
program i have tested ran on jdk1.3.1 and jdk1.4
    versions.
    Thanking you in advance,

pool created in weblogic or the same code pasted
    in
    JSP.Both are throwing the exception
that "current thread is not a owner".Is thisanything related with the web container
implementation of weblogic 5.1 or the jdk
    version
    of weblogic 5.1 ?
Can you please help.I am pasting the code i usedbelow for your reference.
Hi. If you can put this code in a JSP it throwsthe
    "current thread" exception?
    Even if there's no pool?
I would contact IBM or post to their newsgroups to
    explain the stacktrace.
The Driver.connect() call just takes a URL and
    properties (user and password).
There's nothing a user could do to cause such a
    problem.

Hi. That's a very odd internal IBM driver error.
    It's
mesage is not helpful, and can't be due to
    anything
you or WebLogic did. Can you get that driver wowork
on it's own, using it's own example programs? If
you can get a simple 15-line program to succeed
    making
a connection, then we can get WebLogic to do the
    same.
Show me that program and I'll show you the pool
    definition.

We encountered one issue with deployment regarding the ADFApplicationLifecycleListener class which is addessed in the following forum post with the documented workaround of removing ADFApplicationLifecycleListener from the weblogic-application.xml file: Standalone WLS deployment failure - incorrect weblogic-application.xml
Next we want to deploy to a separate server instance/machine on the standalone WLS (we have the eventual requirement of deploying our apps to a WLS cluster, so we're experimenting with configuring separate WLS server instances+machines).
I've created via the Admin Server a new separate server instance (say ADFServer) on a separate WLS machine (say ADFMachine) within my standalone WLS. I've configured the separate WLS server instance to run on a different port from the default Admin Server port. In addition for the 3 deployed libraries jsf, jstl and oracle.adf.domain, via selecting them in the Admin Console under Deployments, then the Target tab, I've also "targetted" (read: deployed) these 3 libraries to the new server instance so they reside both on the Admin Server and ADFServer.
However when I redeploy my original application via JDeveloper's Application Menu -> Deploy option, on deployment to the ADFServer directly I receive the exception at the bottom of this post. The relevant error message:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/adf/share/logging/ADFLogger
This class is included in numerous ADF Runtime Libraries, and I would expect that once I targetted the oracle.adf.domain library for both Admin Server and ADFServer, the relevant ADFLogger class should be available (and given the fact I've run the application successfully on the standalone WLS under the Admin Server, it proves the library is available).
The missing ADFLogger library seems to be a reoccuring theme for application server deployments, in particular OC4J. This is the first time I've seen it broached for WLS when using the ADF Runtime Libraries and haven't found much assistance via the OTN forums, Google searches etc.
Does anybody know what I've configured incorrectly on my standalone WLS such that the ADFLogger is not configured for the separate WLS server instance? (I suspect I'll have to try the WLS forum too, but lets start here).
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks & regards,
    CM.

I do start it by commandline since I only have the AdminServer, and no other nodes. Below is my startWeblogic.sh and setDomainEnv.sh scripts under medrec/bin directory. I don't see any modifications to them for ADF. Also, after extending the domain, the oracle.adf.domain library shows up in my deployments page and is pointing to "/ u01/ app/ oracle/ product/ wls/ jdeveloper/ modules/ oracle. adf. model_11. 1. 1/ adf. oracle. domain. ear". It seems like the extending step is missing a step to give access to all the libraries?

  • Error starting weblogic Admin server

    Hi All,
I am not very familiar with Fusion and weblogic but here is my situation:
Background: I am trying to install Fusion Middleware so I can integrate Oracle Transport Management with E-Business Suite (as per note Integrating Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 with Oracle BPEL in Oracle SOA Suite 11g (Doc ID 1321776.1))
I just installed the following on Oracle Enterprise  Linux 64bits
    - SOA Suite 11.1.1.7.0
    - Weblogic Server 10.3.6
    -JDK 1.7.0_25
    -Jdev 11.1.1.7.0
When starting the weblogic Admin server using "DOMAIN_HOME/startWebLogic.sh' I get an error:
    Starting weblogic with Java version:
    Unrecognized option -jrockit
Error: Could not create the Java virtual machine
I found a few thread with similar issue (for different versions of SOA suite)  where it got fixed by changing some parameters in the cmd file but I am not sure they apply to my case.
Is the jdk version compatible? (I can start JDeveloper ok) , if not which one is the appropriate version. If i need to change it, can you provide details of how to do it? (I am not expert on SOA/Jdev  )
Can you please help me here ?
    Thanks in advance!

    Well, I tested it
java -version and it shows :
    1.7.0_25
Java HotSpot 64 bit Server VM
--> So I guess the problem is I don't seem to have the jrockit.
I donwloaded it (Rel 28.7) and installed it. During installation it says "for JDK 1.6.0_45"
Anyway. I let it install anyway and I modified the PATH to point to the Jrockit bin directory. Then run java -version and it now shows JDK 1.6.0_45 and jvm as rockit
Now I tried to start the weblogic server and I get the same error. it still uses the JDK 1.7
So.. again.. is this supported with JDK 7 ?
How can I fix it now that I installed everything using the JDK 7?
    Thanks
