WebLogic 10.3.6 blocking swf files

I have installed WebLogic 10.3.6 with its patches in a AIX enviroment. In my adf web aplication(JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0) I have a module where It takes a pdf file and transforms it to a swf file to shows to the user. This was working fine in WebLogic 10.3.5. I have seen the logs but there are no errors ,I have verified the swf files exists. This is just happening for IE 8 and 9, with google chrome or firefox I don't have this problem.

    I am able to find the root cause for this. For AS 3 classes,
    while parsing the ABC code, every method body will be a set of
    instructions in which each instruction will have an offset to it.
    This offset will be useful to mark the target for branching
    instructions like if, while etc.... Because, these instructions
    contains targetoffset as a parameter to which the instruction has
    to jump when the condition becomes true or false. The process what
    i am doing is i do some code injection to replace the URLRequest
    calls. The flash file in which i got this error, i did replace the
    URLRequest call to my own method call and this code was being
    wrapped up by an IF block. Because of the code injection, i need to
    update the offset of the instructions with the difference offset
    value. I did this, but i missed the jumpoffset parameter of the if
    block wrapping my injected code which was the root cause. I did fix
    this...

    I have a container .fla movie and would like to load
    consecutive external .swf files. Right now I have a play button
    triggering the loading of the next movie, but what I would REALLY
    like is a smooth transition from .swf to .swf using a listener so
    that the next .swf will load once the previous one has finished. I
    have a counter which determines the next .swf in order.

    You need a monitor to know when one movie clip has completed
    play. A simple
    monitor could be adding onEnterFrame handler to the
    container_mc when
    MovieClipLoader onComplete or onInit is fired. In that
    handler a test to see
    when the loaded clip's _currentframe == the loaded clip"s
    _totaframes.

  • How do you add a link to a .swf file?

    Is there a way to add a link/URL to a .swf file, without embedding into the original .fla file?
    Is there any way to do that with just the .swf file alone, and without actually editing the .fla or re-creating it?

    I won't be providing lessons, but here's the basics...  to load the other swf file using AS3 you will use code like the following in the main timeline...

    To add a link, you can create an invisible button and place whereever you like in the timeline, or if its a text link you can assign the link to the dynamic textfield via the properties panel.  To create an invisible button just create a button symbol and draw a shape for it only in its Hit frame, leaving all other empty... that way you can still see the button to work with it on the stage, but it will be invisible when the file plays.  You could also have the button include text or any other visual you desire if you don't need/want it to be invisible.
    If you use the button approach, then you need to assign the button an instance name (I use "myBtn" for this example)  Then you have to assign an event listener and event handler function for the button...

    The reason I addChild for myBtn after I addChild the Loader is so that it will sit above the Loader.  Without that line, the Loader would have the loaded swf sitting atop the button blocking access to it.
    If you plan to use a Textfield instead of a button, then you don't need the event code but you still need the addChild() line to bring it in front.  As mentioned already you can link it via the properties panel field for a link.  To make life simple per these instructions just assign the textfield an instance name of myBtn.

  • Importing another swf file into the flash-homepage (swf is a gallery)

    have a problem that i cant resolve myself ..
    i downloaded a free of use gallery from juliuswebdesign.com (this gallery) and i'm trying to load it in my flash site ..
    now, the gallery works if i open it directly (i open the swf file)
    BUT
    when i try to load the external swf file into my site
    loadMovie("image_gallery.swf", box);
    then the movie loads .. the gallery is displayed the message "loading xml file" displays and then when the xml is loaded the message "loading image 1/7" displays and only the first image loads.
    once the first image is loaded it will not be displayed (it remains outside of my swf file .. i can see it when i resize the window) and no other images will be loaded.
    if i open the gallery.sfw file again everything works fine .. the problem is only if i try to load the gallery.swf in another swf ..
    something must be wrong ..
    i tryed to opern the gallery.fla file and copt everything directly in my site and the problem remains the same .. only 1 image loaded and not displayed in the gallery ..
    i'ts like something in my site "blocks" the gallery beeing loaded..
    any suggestions?

    to the gallery's fla add the following and retest:

  • Swf file getting paused/freezed while playing

    I have created swf file using scorm format in captivate. Both in preview  and  publish, the frames get auto pause in the middle(it varies - sometimes middle, sometimes towards the end) of the slide duration. To resume, we have to manually select the play button in the pay bar. As a result of this, text animation with fixed duration fly in as a block once we select the play button.

    The behavior is normal. You are using a Button widget, I think the corrected Static Button widget, and that one pauses at half the duration of its timeline. Since you show those widgets for the total duration of the slide, which is 31 secs, it pauses at exactly 15,5 secs. I did check this by using a Text Caption with the system variable rdinfoCurrentFrame, it halted at the value 465 (FPS=30, so this is 15,5secs).
    Do you need that widget really? For a normal button (you could create a custom image button with similar look) you can control the timing of the pause, which is not the case for this widget. Or else you'll have to delay the appearance of the widget, so that its duration is shorter and time in such a way that the last Text animation is playing totally.
    Was also astonished by the size of that 1-slide file...

    In above situation communication is not establised when a  funtion which is retruning boolean is called from flash using
    ExternalInterfcae.call.The return value of this function is getting as false inside flash.But the value is true in javascript.

    Note that you have different file names for the object (images/banner.swf) and the embed (images/banner1.swf)
    You also placed the embed in the middle of a param tag and nested all param tags.
    Because you didn't include a MIME type and the object doesn't have a classid for an ActiveX control for IE, I'm not sure what Firefox will be using.<br />

  • Plot chart- embbeding a custom swf file

    I'm currently using the plot chart element to display dynamic from a MySQL database. I decided I wanted to use a custom embedded swf file. The issue I'm running into is the way the swf file looks. Is there a way keep the original size (width/height) and not have to look deformed? Adjusting the radius only makes the swf "fatter".

    there are two very distinct things: one is to emit an actual swf, and the other one is to tell an existing swf to show something....
    Now assume your user can choose a few symbols from the library and drag them around .... and imagine an xml file that liss the symbol name and its coordinates on stage as well as its scaling factor.
    Next assume the user can click somewhere to type text ... and imagine the xml file to contain text entries with actual text, font size, and coordinates
    I did something with AS2 following this scheme: a server script copied the existing swf and added an actionscript block equivalent to the above-mentioned xml file. I have not studied details of AS3 files enough to tell whether the same is possible with AS3, but I sort of believe that an xml string embedded as a byte string could be amended / replaced in a similar way

  • Can't use screensaver with flash (swf file) after mavericks upgrade

    Hi, I have a screensaver who reads a html file with a SWF. It works perfectly on 10.8 (and older versions) but since I passed on 10.9 Mavericks I have a white screen without my animation. In safari the html page with the animation is working well ...
    Is it possible that Apple is blocking the swf file in the screensaver ? Is there a parameters to activate somewhere ?

    I made the screen saver myself with xcode and i builded it in 64 bits with the last version of xcode ... When the screensaver is launching, it create a temporary html with a swf and, then reads it in a web zone. With Safary the html file works fine but in my screensaver i have a white screen.
    I will check if the swf is in 32 or 64 bits (it's not me who generate the the swf file's). Thanks for the reply.

  • .swf files opening issues

    Upon opening .swf files I get open or save as options. I have tried all the fixes I could locate nothing is helping. I have even tried to reinstall the flash player program. I can play the files from the site but after downloading them I can no longer play the files from my desktop without getting the open or save as options like it is trying to re-download the same file. This repeats non-stop. I have checked the options in tools however I can't seem to change or reset any of the things for .swf files. One of the options for the file targets shockwave flash, which I have installed but the other says always ask. I can't change it to firefox, if I set it to IE it repeats the open or save as options like it does in firefox. I can't seem to locate any program to open the file in firefox.
    Before the last few updates I use to just be able to click on a .swf file and it'd open in firefox without issue. I'm not sure what has changed within the last few updates but now I can't open .swf files unless I do so from the site I downloaded the file from.

    @ CoryMH, the only things located in the content tab of the options is the following: Block pop ups, Fonts& colors, and languages. There is no options within the content tab of tools>options>content. Even though your advice was not helpful to me in any way I still thank you for trying to help resolve this matter.
    @ cor-el, I have just managed to find the mimeTypes.rdf file took me a few hours as it was not where those links said it would be. For my system it was C:/users/username/appdata(hidden folder)/local/mozilla Sadly the links said it's be %APPDATA%\mozilla\ upon which is an invalid address on my windows 7 system. Not sure why it's different but I found it. I am hoping now that I located the file that your advice fixes the problem.
    Edit 1: cor-el upon restarted after removing the file you mentioned did in fact reset everything. All of my flashes are asking what I want them to open with once more. Upon opening them on Firefox I can see them instead of the open with or save as options. So your advice did indeed work. Thank you.

  • My .swf files that I embed using Dreamweaver do not play in any browser, online or local...

    I've created a website in Dreamweaver (cs5.5).  (I created the swf in flash cs5.5 also) (I also have the latest flash player)
    There's a test version here (there's no images, but in the /test/ directory there's the .swf file and a further /Scripts/ directory, created by Dreamweaver when I imported the swf,

    When I use the preview in browser feature, in both Iexplore and Chrome, I get a grey box where the movie should be.
    I used Dreamweaver to import the swf. I did not code anything myself.
    Online, there is simply no flash movie where it should be.
    When I double click the expressInstall.swf in windows explorer I get a security alert saying Flash Player is blocking expressInstall.swf from communicating with fpdownload.macromedia.com,
    and I can't figure out how to change this setting (that's if it's relevant).
    I get the same problem from other computers, I don't know what else to do apart from post here.
    Would be grateful of any help.

    Both test sites work just fine for me.
    The "Update plugin" message is exactly what would be displayed if no .swfobject file at all was found... so it may not be the "version11" thing but rather, perhaps something else is messed up with the .swfobject file.

  • Help needed making SWF file loop

    Hello Everyone-
    I have been researching this topic and am really struggling.
    I'm not much of a HTML guy and I think I'll need to do some to
    resolve my issues. I have searched and searched but I'm not having
    any luck.
    I create an animation in Apple Motion, exported it as a MOV
    and imported it as video into Flash CS3. It was encoded using
    Progressive download from server it creates a FLV file a SWF file
    and an HTML file. My provider is 1and1. I then use Adobe GoLive to
    create my webpage and upload to the web. I need my SWF file to loop
    and I cannot get it to loop.
    In flash. Everything plays fine. When I do a publish preview
    however, the swf file does not loop. I've got the loop option
    checked in my publish preview settings and even in the inspector in
    GoLive but it does nothing.

    PS there is actually two SWF that I need to loop. Neither of

    The problem you are encountering is that you are telling the
    SWF to loop, when in fact you need to tell the FLV to loop.
    Unfortunately, you need to code a few lines of Actionscript
    to get this to work, you would think that it would be as simple as
    just checking an option.
    I don't know if you have an AS2 or AS3 project, so I'm going
    to give you both for the code.
    Actionscript 2:
    1. Select the FLVPlayback component on the stage.
    2. In the Actions panel, enter the following:

    this.autoRewind = true;
    this.play();
    Actionscript 3:
    1. Select the FLVPlayback component on the stage, and give it
    an instance name by entering some text in the properties panel.
    (Upper left corner of the panel, right under where it says
    "Component" there is a text input box. This is where you input it.)
    Names are commonly things like "myFLVPlayback" or "myVideo" etc.
    2. Deselect everything.
    3. In the actions panel, enter the following (replacing
    "myVideo" with the instance name you chose):
    myVideo.addEventListener(VideoEvent.COMPLETE,doLoop);
    function doLoop(evt:VideoEvent):void {
    evt.currentTarget.play();
    Either of those blocks of code should work for you. Simply
    add them to your flash project and re-export the SWF.
