Weblogic 11g Reports

I have just setup a new dev environment for a development team on Weblogic 11g (10.3.2.0) with forms and reports.
In iAS, I could run a report with the url:
http://myserver/reports/rwservlet?server=rep_server&report=myreport.RDF&userid=user1/password@mydatabase&desformat=PDF&paramform=YES&outputimageformat=gif
In Weblogic, I have tried to get this to work using:
http://myserver:9002/reports/rwservlet?server=rep_wls_reports_myserver_asinst_1&report=myreport.RDF&userid=user1/password@mydatabase&desformat=PDF&paramform=YES&outputimageformat=gif
However, I recieve the error:
REP-52266: The in-process Reports Server rep_wls_reports_99psrvwmstest_asinst_1 failed to start.oracle.reports.RWException: IDL:oracle/reports/RWException:1.0
My WLS_REPORTS server is running, so I'm wondering if the report URL is correct.
I have WLS_FORMS running on port 9001 successfully.
Thanks.

Please try posting in the Forms forum as readers of this forum don't usually have experience with Forms:

    Hello,
    The URL is correct.
    The error :
    REP-52266: The in-process Reports Server rep_wls_reports_99psrvwmstest_asinst_1 failed to start.oracle.reports.RWException: IDL:oracle/reports/RWException:1.0
    means that an error occured during the Reports in-process server startup
    The Reports in-process server is automatically started when you call it for the first time.
    To get more details about the error, check the logs (You can use the EM web site : http://myserver:7001/em)
    If the error is not detailled enought, increase the log level
    (can be done with the EM web site too )

  • Running oracle forms and reports within weblogic 11g

    hi
    I have installed oracle weblogic 11g, my quastion is:
    is there any thing necessary to download and install to run forms and reports on weblogic
    and how i can see my forms within url and how i can do connection on oracle database 10g
    thanx

    Hi,
    I second John's link. I recommend to read through the installation guide. Which version of forms you looking to install, Forms 11gR1 or Forms 11gR2 (latest)? Also what type of system is this?
    To summarize up the installation document, heres what you need to do to install latest version (11gR2):
    1.) Download Install Files:
    WebLogic *10.3.5*: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/wls-main-097127.html
    Forms 11.1.2: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads/index.html
    2.) Install WebLogic (No Node Manager)
    3.) Install and Configure Forms 11.1.2
    4.) You completed a vanilla WLS+Forms installation
    5.) (Optional) Install Node Manager After installation is complete.
    Let me know if this helps.
    Thank you,
    Gavin

    Priya,
    Thank you so much for your response. I did test my database source from console and on the console it reported the test was successful, where in the admin logs has same exception logs. I did try creating a non XA connection and it did not have these errors. But my application did raise same exception while doing transaction.
    The application has around 250 EJB's that are written long ago and they all comply to EJB 1.1 spec. I am in the process of investigating the level of support for EJB 1.1 in Weblogic 11g.

  • OAM 11g reports with BI publisher 11g

    Hi Guys,
    I am facing issue while configuring the reports in BI Publisher for 11g while generating report i am getting error
    oracle.xdo.XDOException: oracle.xdo.XDOException: oracle.xdo.XDOException: Could not get data source connection for: Audit
    i will list down the steps
    1. Created a audit database using RCU
    2.Created a jdbd data source in weblogic
    3. Attach this data source to Audit store in Enterprise manager.
    4.deploy the reports in BI publisher
    5. created a jdbc data source to point to audit database.
    6.Attach this datasource to data modal and then to report. Now when i run the report i am getting this error
    oracle.xdo.XDOException: oracle.xdo.XDOException: oracle.xdo.XDOException: Could not get data source connection for: Audit
    guys provide me with some pointers.

    Hi,
    Here is a set of instructions on how to run the OAM 11g reports in BI 11g:
    http://oraclemiddlewareblog.com/2012/07/31/how-to-run-oam-11g-audit-reports-in-bi-publisher-11g/
    Basically, even if you have created the datasource to the XX_IAU schema, you still need to make sure that you enable the audit on the OAM side and that you configure the right filters for the audited operations.

  • Weblogic 11g on Windows 2008 64 bit

    It appears that Weblogic 11g for windows only comes in 32 bit and can run ok on 64 bit. I have 24 Gb of memory on the server and my question is will forms and reports user sessions be able to access all the memory? Or since Weblogic is 32 bit, will any forms and reports sessions be restricted to the first 3Gb of memory?
    Edited by: user1065650 on Apr 3, 2012 2:21 PM

    Hi
    Weblogic 11g does come both for 32 Bit and 64 Bit for both Windows and Unix OS. Its just that for 64 Bit OS, for Windows, you need to download WLS Generic Installer (.jar extension) and follow the steps.
    See this link and another post in this link for more details:
    required weblogic 10.3.5 instllable for windows server 2008(64bit)
    If you download and run .exe installer, yes it is 32 Bit. But for 64 bit machines, download .jar installer.
    Thanks

  • OBIEE 11g Report UI not showing data

    Hi,
    On Obiee 11g Report, the query hit by the report at the backend shows results for all the columns but on UI only few of these columns show the data. From Query log, when I run the same query in the database I see all columns have data which is somehow not showing up on the UI end. What could be the problem? Can this be resolved or is it a bug in the OBIEE 11g?

    Hi Vanaja M/Gurus,
    Is that your problem resolved?
    I'm facing same issue here.
    I was checking for solution/suggestions in blogs, but unfortunately i couldn't find much information in blogs too....
    Can you help me out to cross this hurdle, as this issue is in Production.

    How much memory have you configured for the servers?
    When the memory (Xmx and Xms - JVM parameters) is too small start-up times can get long.
    I saw that you have SOA environment. To tune your environment this link might help: http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=6040

    Pls let us know any configuration needs to be done.
    Pls advise.

    Hey Suni,
    It appears that there is a section missing out of the current installation guide for Web Determinations. The reason you're getting that error is because you are deploying to application to WebLogic which doesn't expand the war by default so you need to configure the rulebase loader. Before you add proceed with the steps in the install guide you need to:
    # Unpack the web-determinations.war file
    # Copy the rulebases you wish to install to <webroot>/WEB-INF/classes/rulebases
    # Edit the following setting in the application.properties file (<webroot>/WEB-INF/classes/configuration):
    load.rulebase.from.classpath =true
    rulebase.path                    =rulebases# Repack the war file
    # Proceed with the installation steps as set out in the installation guide
    I'll have the installation guide fixed and updated as soon as possible.
    Thanks,
    Kristy

    What is the jee version you have on that server? are the environment variables correctly set?

  • OC4J 10.1.2 to Weblogic 11g (10.3.5) xmlparserv2.jar dependency

    I am trying to upgrade from OC4J 10.1.2 to Weblogic 11g (10.3.5).
    I used the smartupgrade tool and it has highlighted some required modifications before upgrading.
    For example:
    <snip>
    Rule: Oracle Private Dependencies
    Category: api
    Priority: required
    Complexity: high
    Reason: xxx.admin.ejb.AdminCtrl.jar contains the following unsupported Oracle dependencies:
    AdminCtrlBean.class on [oracle.xml.parser.v2.DOMParser (orasaaj.jar), oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException (orasaaj.jar), oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLDocument (orasaaj.jar)]
    Advice: To ensure the proper functioning of deployed applications, features that depend upon the identified API need to discontinue using the identified unpublished Oracle API.
    Implication: Features associated with the identified API may be broken, or the application itself may not function properly if at all because they depend upon unpublished Oracle dependencies.
    </snip>
    I want to follow the 'Advice', but I'm not sure what the best method is for correcting this issue.
    Should I move away from the xmlparserv2.jar for xml processing?
    If yes, what is the recommended replacement for xmlparserv2.jar in Weblogic 11g?
    Any help, guidance or pointers are greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    When migrating to weblogic from oc4j, you should discontinue use of the Oracle xml parser. Use the standard java sdk parser.
    This code snip:
    StringReader sr = new StringReader(xmlString.toString());
    DOMParser parser = new DOMParser();
    parser.parse(sr);
    Document doc = parser.getDocument();
    Is converted to this code snip:
         DocumentBuilderFactory dbf = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    DocumentBuilder db = dbf.newDocumentBuilder();
    StringReader sr = new StringReader(Sparameters);
    InputSource is = new InputSource(sr);
    Document doc = db.parse(is);
    I found this information in this documentation:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs103/xml/programming.html#wp1069856
    I hope this is helpful to someone.

  • ToolTip in OBIEE 11G Reports when we hover on its data!!

    Hello gurus,
    I have a requirement where I have to display ToolTip in OBIEE 11G reports when one hovers on its data. For example, If I have a column in a report which displays "serial no." say the data in column is 1,2,3,4,5 etc. when I hover on 1, it should display name corresponding to it. when I hover on 2, it should display another name.
    These values which will be displayed on hover action can be hardcoded, they are static values.
    Thanks in advance !!

    Hi User,
    Try this , Goto Column Properties of a particular Column ->Data Format->Check mark "Override Default Data Format" and select
    Treat Numbers As : Custom
    In Custom Numeric Format, Copy paste this code: [html]<p title=\""Comments which you want to Mention" \">#
    Please Mark helpful if it is correct.
    Regards,
    OBIEELearner.
