Weblogic 12c Admin Console Extremely Slow Response in "Servers" only

Hi,
I have downloaded and installed weblogic 12c today on IBM p702 blade centre running AIX 7.1 & IBM Java 7. Everything is working fine; Admin Server, Node Manager, etc.
I am facing a strange kind of problem and need your kind suggestions.
When i login to Admin Console 12c and i click on the "servers" link under the domain -> environment; the server response is extremely slow. However, the rest is fine. There is no application deployed and no warning + exception/error is in logs (node manager, admin server out etc.)
Please advice!
Good Day.

This happens when node managers are not running (or not reachable), as it tries to obtain the status of the servers that are deployed on different machines.
What you can check is; are the node managers running on the machines you have configured (in the admin console, click environment, machines, your_machine, monitoring)

  • Missing tabs from WebLogic Server Admin console

I am extremely new to WebLogic. It came with a vendor package we bought, and we do not have support. I have been using ASK to search for answers to my questions/problems. It has become obvious that either I don't know what I am doing :-) or that our installation is less robust than other peoples.
On our Weblogic Server Admin console, there is no such thing as a "Change Center". If I go to Services -> JDBC -> Connection Pools, there is no tab for Testing. The only tabs I have are Configuration and Monitoring. Monitoring only has text on it - no button to push. Do I always have to "configure a new JDBC connection pool" in order to somehow find a TEST tab?
Have we done something wrong during installation? Thank you, anyone, for help and advice.
    Bonnie

Can you please share the error logs/standard output snippet here. It seems to be an issue with the classpath that the system classloader is reading.
    Cheers!!

  • Weblogic Portal Admin Console is not displayed after the ear deployment

    Hi
There is a Weblogic portal application deployed in the Weblogic Server 9.2 mp3 . The application is fine , when opened with the browser, but the problem is the portal admnistrator console is not opened.
The application is deployed in a clustered environment with an Admin server and one managed server. The domain is configured for Production Mode and running in an Solaris environment.
I had another similar kind of domain where the application is running fine and the weblogic portal admin console is also fine.
The following difference is observed in both the server logs. I see that there is some problem with the initialization of /WEB-INF/beehive-netui-config.xml. The log continues with the messages like "< Pushing body text '" etc.

how did you create this domain? Is this dataSource defined - portalFrameworkPoolAlwaysXA? is it targetted to cluster? did you get errors on startup related to this dataSource?

  • Extremely Slow Response when attempting to display files on Windows Server

I have set up File Sharing on my MacBook Pro using SMB and defined the folders that are available to be shared. When I look at the Network Neighbourhood in Windows Explorer the Macbook appears listed with all the other PCs on the network. When I try to open the Macbook in Explorer it takes a very long time to open (about 2 minutes or so) and shows me the list of folders. When I try to open a folder the exact same thing happens - it opens after a couple of minutes, this continues for every folder that I try to open. I thought it might be that Explorer needed to "catalog" the files in the folders but the same thing happens each time - if I close the connection and try again it takes the same amount of time. What is very strange is that if I connect to the Windows Server from the Mac opening and looking at shared folders/files is instantaneous so clearly this is not a network problem. If I use the Win2K3 server to look at other computers/files the result is the same - instantaneous access, so it has nothing to do with the Win2K3 server - clearly the problem is with the MacBook serving up the file information to the Win2K3 server. I have tried with AFP on and off and the result is the same. The user name/pwd is the same on both the Win2K3 and the Macbook - and I have tried with a different username on the Win2K3 - no difference. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Yes they are on the same workgroup, on ethernet, plugged into the same switch. The Mac can read and copy files of the Win2K3 server with no problem. The problem is clearly at the Mac end as the Win2K3 server can view files on any machine on the network without the slow response, the Mac can view files on the Win2K3 server without the slow response, it is only when the Win2K3 server tries to view files on the Mac.

  • Admin Console very slow

    Hi,
Why is the console so slow (2/3 minutes to change the view) in WebLogic 12c?
The domain that I've configured has 23 managed servers, 11 clusters and 30 deployments. When I'm working in the console I don't see any high CPU usage?
    What could be the reason?
    Thanks

    Hi,
The AdminServer is really overloaded, try increase the memory options in startWeblogic script -Xms and -Xms.
Additional, if you use NodeManager process to control another machines, set the -Xms -Xmx parameters.
    Hey good environment !!!

  • Default Administrator Username & Password for Weblogic Server Admin Console

I created a new domain using the configuration wizard on windows (using config.cmd).
While configuring the domain, I didnt check any of the check boxes for configuring Admin Server, Managed servers, clusters...
Just gave the domain name and location of the domain home and clicked on create domain.
So automatically AdminServer is created and domain was created successfully.
After the domain is created, I started the Admin Server from the same configuration Wizard and clicked on Done.
Now the Admin Server is started successfully. But I dont know the Administrator username and password as I didnt configure it while creating the domain.
So how to login to Admin Console? What will be the default Administrator Username and Password to log into Admin Console?

    Got the answer.
I tried with weblogic/weblogic9 and it worked.
I m able to login to Admin Console. So this should be the default Username and Password.
Please let me know your thoughts.

  • Equivalent of Weblogic Portal admin console in Webcenter ?

Our company is currently equipped with Weblogic Portal (WLP) 10.3.2. I'm part fo the team in preparing a migration approach study to Oracle Webcenter (OWC).
In WLP 10.3.2 we are using JSF, WSRP and 286 portlets. Hence most of it can be reused in OWC.
Regarding run time customisation in Weblogic+ Portal administration console we can create desktop and include books, pages, portlets in Portal.
Can we achieve the same in Oracle Webcenter through Webcenter Portal administration console ?
While going through Oracle documentation I found the foll. thing "Composer in WebCenter Portal has been leveraged extensively inside Oracle WebCenter Portal: Spaces to allow users to customize and personalize spaces."
I'm not clear if I can achieve the equivalent of Weblogic Portal administration console+ in Webcenter using Webcenter Portal administration console (or) Spaces (or) Composer ?
Any helpful pointers / links would be helpful.
Thanks for the helping heart in advance.

As you are expecting simple mapping, it will be not be there, because they change whole product in such way that there is no one to one mapping between weblogic portal and webcenter portal.
Spaces used for run time development of team sites and other collaboration sites, so this will be not useful to you in your scenario. Composer is run time customization of page. So if you want to give user capability to change content and page then you can use this feature.
But for your answer or requirement you can use web center portal admin console to create pages and put portlet inside it from WC Portal Admin console. I know you might have gone through tutorials, but here is the quick one.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/webcenter.1111/e12405/wcadm_admin_apps.htm
With WC oracle made too much complexity to understand. As a weblogic portal developer I also always try to compare things with WL portal :-)

  • Extremely slow response

Since I upgrade to Firefox 3.5.1 it is extremely slow in responding to lots of web pages including my own home page Atlantic Broadband and my E-Mail for Atlantic Broadband. It just seems to go out to lunch for a minute or more at times. There is no error it eventually gets there, but it is quite annoying. I had no problems at all with the earlier version.

v3.5.1 would be a downgrade because the current version is 4.0
Try updating again, but do it via '''Help '''| '''Check For Updates'''
According to your system specs you currently have v3.6.16 installed which is the previous version to the current one.

  • Any complete example on weblogic 10 admin console extension?

in the sample code corner, all examples are for 8 or 9

Weblogic 9.x and 10.x are very similar when it comes to Admin Console. So try using console extension 9.x steps for 10.x. You cannnot use 8.x since it is very old and it is completely changed from 9.x onwards.

Keep getting same thing. Round and round and round, etc.

  • Extremely slow response from Maverics with working account

    Hi all,
let me reference an earlier issue I had after I switched to Mavericks on my MacBook:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/23576494?ac_cid=tw123456#23576494
I don't know if this problem is related to the earlier incident or not...
In any case, here is the scenario: MacBook (late 2008), previously with Mountain Lion. My main account ("nick") has a home folder location different than standard. This is because the boot drive is a (smallish) SSD, I.e. the home folder had been moved (long time ago) to a second HDD that I've installed instead of the Superdrive. The specialty here is that this 2nd HDD is encrypted (done at formatting time).
Subsequently, when I restart the MacBook, I first have to log into the admin account, which will automatically mount the HDD (password in keychain), then log back out and log into my user account.
This worked like a charm with Lion and Mountain Lion.
Along comes Mavericks. As you'll see in the link posted above, I had some issues getting the user to log in at all. Possibly a quirk in Mavericks, fixed by using a symbolic link.
In any case, the responsiveness of the system with that one account logged in is - to say the least - excessively slow.
It seems that something is holding up the CPU for long periods of time (30 seconds? 60 seconds?) between activities. This might be launching a program and waiting forever for it to show the initial window. Then selecting a function and waiting for that, etc.
Really odd is the fact that this only happens with this one account. I've tried logging in and then holding the Shift key (keeps the login script from loading selected programs automatically), but this didn't help.
Again, it only happens with this one account, so it has to be something to do with a setting or something.
Odd, too, is that the CPU isn't loaded at all - in fact, nothing seems to be happening (which, in fact, is what is happening...).
    Ideas anyone?
I had a very similar effect when moving from Snow Leopard to Lion (Upgrade, not a clean install), so maybe it is something that isn't unusual?

Sorry to hear about the issues you've been having. Hard drives do sometimes fail, and it really isn't a fun experience when it does. I don't work for Apple, but I'm a certified tech that like others has access to the warranty repair system and I know how it works. Normally we get all parts very quickly, but there are some cases where backorders and incorrect repairs are inputted which slow things down.
Apple actually does read the forums and responds to them as well. I have several friends who do just that. I would suggest to the repair center that they try the "mark for review" checkbox because this shouldn't be taking this long and it will get a repair advisor's attention to find what's delaying it. Hopefully it'll be resolved shortly.

  • SPLWEB state is failed in Weblogic Server Admin console 10.3.3

    Hi
I am facing some issues in Weblogic Server 10.3.3 Administrator console for development purpose:
In deployment category, There will be 1.Splwebservice and 2.Splweb. Splweb state is failed and i am not able to open the ouaf. Under SPLWEB Category, there are other links namely ouaf, ouaf/appviewer, ouaf/help, ouaf/XAIapp. So these links should have a expanded (+) button to connect other links also.
Can anyone tell me how to bring the ouaf and appviewer UP?
what can be the solution for this issue?
    Pl reply me ASAP.

Ideally, you want your application artifact to specify a single datasource that doesn't specify an environment name. Your WebLogic instance is defined to reside within a specific environment, like DEV, QA, or PROD. The environment variability should be in WebLogic, not your application.
In other words, you should be defining a single datasource in your application, and a single datasource in WebLogic. What that datasource points to in WebLogic depends on what environment that WebLogic instance resides in. If it's a development instance, the datasource will point to the DEV database. If QA, it will point to the QA database, and if PROD, it will point to the PROD database.
