Weblogic 12c wlclient.jar has problems
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to sign wlclient.jar with jarsigner & I get this error from eclipse-ant build:
[signjar] jarsigner: unable to sign jar: java.util.zip.ZipException: duplicate entry: weblogic/jndi/SimpleContext$1.class
Thanks,
Prasad
This seems to be a bug with weblogic 12 c , as I have tried this with both WLS 12c and WLS 10.3.5.0
I am able to sign the wlclient.jar for WLS 10.3.5.0 but it is failing with the same exception for WLS 12C ,
you can open a SR with oracle support.
thanks,
Sandeep

I am NOT using EclipseLink or any other JPA provider in my web application. Neither am I using JAXB. I am assuming that the EclipseLink JAXB provider is being provided by WebLogic. I looked at the decompiled class GlobalConfiguration$GlobalStatisticsType and saw the "properties" property occuring only once.
This worked well on JBoss 5.
I tried looking for any articles or blogs for Infinispan deployment on WebLogic and couldn't find any.
Does anybody have any suggestions for me?
Thanks.It was the JAXB implementation that was the problem.
EclipseLink Moxy 2.3.2 is the JAXB provider in WebLogic 12c.
Eclipse has fixed a bug in this area https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=376509
The fix in the nightly build for Moxy 2.3.3.
Not sure what the procedure is for applying EclipseLink patches to WLS.
In the meantime, upgrading to Infinispan 5.1.3 as suggested in its forums. This solves the problem. -
Weblogic.jar vs wlclient.jar problems
Hi,
I have a swing client and am trying to get authentication working correctly.
A problem i am running across occurs when i try to login using empty strings.
new LoginContext("Sample", new SampleCallbackHandler("", "", server));
With weblogic.jar, no exceptions are thrown.
With wlclient.jar, this is thrown: "UsernamePasswordLoginModule Error: NamingException on authenticate, Unhandled exception in lookup"
Is this a bug, or am i doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.
ChetanHello Sir
Did u solve the problem
i am also getting the same problem
please help me if u found the solution -
Weblogic 12c JSF2 and EJB3.1 using CDI injection , in separate jar files
I am trying to inject a stateless EJB and managed Bean of JSF2 into a CDI managed controller.
That means using @inject replace @EJB of EJB and @Named of CDI replace @ManageBean in JSF2 , EJB3.1 and JSF2 in separate jar files.
At result,My test gets the following Exception in weblogic 12c。
If EJB in separate files and Managed Bean of JSF in WEB-INF/classes not separte file, then no problem.

Edited by: user8823518 on 2012-3-12 上午12:49This is a Weblogic 12.1.1 bug (a patch is available), explained here:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24329_01/doc.1211/e26593/issues.htm#BCFGBBBE
extract:
If a WAR file has two embedded bean deployment archive JARs (that is, JARs that contain META-INF/beans.xml), an UnsatisfiedDependencyException occurs if a class in one JAR contains an @Inject that is of a type that is defined in the other JAR.

Problem in using wlclient.jar
Hi
I am getting a problem while doing jndi lookup .It's throwing No_permission exeption .
I have figured out that the problem lies in using wlclient.jar as it uses iiop proptocol inside for lookup .
We do lookup from several servers .One server needs credentials for lookup and another doesn't need .
So the problem arises when i do a lookup with no credentials(As it's not required for a particular server) after a lookup with credentials(As it's required for that server) . These two lookups happening in same thread .
There is no problem occuring while using only weblogic.jar .
I think here the subject associated with a thread doesn't change when i give no credentials .
I have tried Security.runAs(....
But it's throwing exception Subjectmanager not installed .
Any help ..Pranab Dash <> writes:

Fetch error and jaxb problem in weblogic 12c
Hi,
I have a problem with running my webService in Weblogic 12c. The response of the webService is an entity which has an OneToMany relationship. After executing the service, its response could not be generated. I think there is a problem during MOXy’s unmarshalling operation of response entity (I haven’t had any problem in weblogic 11, because it don’t use MOXy ).
What do you think about this problem and solution?
Regards

Why can't Weblogic 12c find Managed Bean by annotation,which in a jar?
the detail:
why can't Weblogic 12c find Managed Bean by annotation,which in a jar?Hi,
I got the same problem with weblogic 12c.
Somehow this guy got it working by using CDI and creating an empty beans.xml, it did not work for me.
i found the tricky problem is that should put a empty but include the <beans> tag beans.xml file.
http://www.coderanch.com/t/562233/JSF/java/WebLogic-Eclipse-Indigo-develop-JSF
I also tried to skip managedbean and use CDI ( @named ) but then I get some jboss weld exceptions on the value attribute of some jsf components.
I also saw this post
Can't seem to get a trivial CDI example to work on Weblogic 12c
I don't use OEPE very often so I'll need to kick this around a little when I get a chance.
Just as an out there kind of thought, OEPE does use the split-directory model for deployment by default -- perhaps try adjusting it to use the exploded archive model instead, just as a test to see if it removes the error?
Right click the server config and select Properties > WebLogic > Publishing > Publish as exploded archive
It seems like the Virtual Application deployment model of OEPE doesn't support CDI.
thanks

Encoding with weblogic.jar or wlclient.jar
I am using weblogic 9.0 on jrockit 1.5.0_03 I have an application deployed using stateless session EJB’s.
I have a webstart client that runs on jdk1.5.0_03. When using weblogic.jar on the client side, everything runs fine.
When using wlclient.jar on the client side, I don’t get data from the server which contains umlauts. The data are lost on the client side.
In the direction to the server I have no problems, I can store data with umlaut. I tried already setting the default encoding on server (-Dweblogic.webservice.i18n.charset=utf-16) and client (-Dfile.encoding=utf-16), with no success.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!Hello Sir
Did u solve the problem
i am also getting the same problem

Deployment Plan / weblogic-ejb-jar.xml: Problem
Hello,
I am trying to use a deployment plan to override the principal name in the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml.
The deployment-plan looks like this (showing only the important sections)
<variable-definition>
<variable>
<name>SecurityRoleAssignment_ejbRole_PrincipalNames_1</name>
<value>MY PRINCIPAL 1</value>
</variable>
</variable-definition>
<variable-assignment>
<name>SecurityRoleAssignment_ejbRole_PrincipalNames_1</name>
<xpath>/weblogic-ejb-jar/security-role-assignment/[role-name="View-Role"]/externally-defined</xpath>
<operation>replace</operation>
</variable-assignment>
The security-role assignment in the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml looks like this:
<security-role-assignment>
<role-name>View-Role</role-name>
<externally-defined/>
</security-role-assignment>
I 've tried to override the element-value of <externally-defined> (a valid tag in the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml ) with help of a deployment-plan.
When trying to deploy my application (which is organised in the directory-structure: inst_dir/APP inst_dir/PLAN
the following error occurs:
VALIDATION PROBLEMS WERE FOUND problem: cvc-complex-type.2.4a: Expected element 'principal-name@http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/10.0' instead of 'externally-defined@http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/10.0' here in element security-role-assignment@http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/10.0:
This has surprised me, as externally-defined is (according to the documentation) a valid tag.
I have tried to replace <externally-defined> with an empty <principal-name> tag (which works fine when deploying the application), but causes a security exception, when trying to use the EJB.
Has anybody an idea if there is a workaround for this problem?
IMHO the Validatio Problem is not justified at this place then why should an otherwise valid weblogic-ejb-jar.xml (when not using a deployment-plan) suddenly become invalid when a deployment plan is used?
Thanx a lot in advance!

I have checked the server logs and the server is able to receive the request from the client and fetching the required details.
I am sending these details to the client by adding to a Vector.
I have observed one more thing, the same is working in other machine which is in another network.
I have also tried with the other wl*.jar s but giving different exceptions.
My server classpath consists of weblogic.jar.
Do I have to include the client jars in my server classpath?
Please suggest me how to resolve this.
Please help me here :)Thanks for your time, :)
I have tried all the three wl*client jars, but no use. :(
Got the same error for wlclient.jar and wlfullclient.jar.
And for wlt3client.jar I got some different error which is very strange...

Problem in installing GoldenGate Director on weblogic 12c
hello friends,
we have a server with weblogic 12c and a basic domain namely "base_domain" on it.(i have no earlier experience about weblogic).its path is "D:\Oracle\Middleware_HOME\wlserver_12.1"
i can start its AdminServer and we can login to its console.
now i want to install GoldenGate Director Server.but in installing process when i set Weblogic location it gives me error :
"Please Select a valid weblogic install Directory"
i tried all of these paths :
"D:\Oracle\Middleware_HOME\wlserver_12.1"
"D:\Oracle\Middleware_HOME"
"D:\Oracle"
but the error remains yet.
i installed weblogic on another machine but nothing changed.
another thin is that i checked all places that oracle documents tells that should be updated
i mean :
1 Update the registry.xml file in Weblogic home directory to point to the
correct WebLogic Server home directory.
2 Update all of the scripts under %WLS_SERVER_HOME%/server/bin and %WLS_
SERVER%/common/bin to point to the correct WebLogic Server home directory.
3 Update the .product.properties file under %WLS_SERVER_HOME% to point to the
correct WebLogic Server home directory.
1 & 2 are correct (i think) but i couldn't find third one "product.properties"
please help me.
Whats the problem?
weblogic Servers : Windows Server 2008 64-bit SP2 and Windows Seven Ultimate 64bit
Weblogic version : oepe-indigo-installer-12.1.1.0.1.201203120349-12.1.1-win32
GoldenGate Director : gg-director-serversetup_win_v11_1_1_1_0_001You should specify the middle-ware home direction.
The error normally caused by the wrong version installed, which doesn’t have the correct registry.xml in MW_HOME. I met this problem in the past which is because I installed a dev version of WLS in zip file.
After I install the installable version( I think it is the same version you used: oepe-indigo-installer-12.1.1.0.1.201203120349-12.1.1-win32.exe of WLS, it works fine. -
Hello,
After you install the 32bit version of Oracle WebLogic 12c , jdevstudio11115install (Windows 7 32 bit platform) . These actions come after the installation of the domain ADF 's and then completed the installation.
I receive the following error when I run startWebLogic.cmd. ( What is the solution. )

Please advise!
Thanks in advance.
P.S.
Unfortunately, problem also confirmed on Windows 7 64bit and JRockit-jdk1.6.0_29-R28.2.0-4.1.0 and JDeveloper 11.1.2.1.0.

Override Spring jar in Weblogic 12c
Hi Folks,
We have been facing an issue while overriding the Spring jar in Weblogic 12c. Basically we need to write a bean based on some 3rd party API calling their interfaces. Now they use Spring 2.5 jar for their own implementation. Since Weblogic inherently supports Spring 3.0 jar. As a result when we write our bean wrapping their interfaces and deploy it, it doesn't work. We replicated the issue by replacing Spring 2.5 jar with Spring 3 in local environment.
If we modify the server classpath to load the Spring 2.5 jar (preceding Spring 3.0), entire soa-infra application goes down, so what We wanted to know if it is possible to override the Spring jar only for our application itself? While loading the application it will override the Spring 3.0 jar with Spring 2.5 in the application context but server will keep using Spring 3.0?
Any ideas/suggestions highly appreciated!
Thanks,
BhaskarHi Bhaskar,
have you tried packing the Spring libraries in your application and using the Filterring Classloader? Maybe this links can help you :

DaljitAre you trying to make an EJB 1.1 CMP bean or an EJB 2.0 CMP bean.
It looks like you have an EJB 1.1 ejb-jar.xml, but have requested an EJB 2.0 cmp descriptor.
Take a look at examples/ejb/basic/containerManaged and ejb20/basic/containerManaged for the 2 examples.
