Hi,
I upgraded my server from weblogic 9.2 MP1 to MP3 and I get this error during weblogic startup. I have JDK150_12 in the classpath. What could be causing this error?

Hi All,
I am still searching for a solution for this issue. I have this problem on three different machines that I tried installing weblogic server 9.2.3. I am now stuck till I find a solution. Weblogic 9.2.1 works and once I upgrade to MP3, I get the error.

Content Presenter Portlet (CPP) on weblogic portal 10.3 giving error
Hi,
We are using WLP 10gR3 & UCM 10gR3 in our environment.
We've done a new installation on portal following the checklist which is working fine on a working env.
On portal application CPP giving error
Content Presenter Portlet giving err-An appropriate display template for this item could'nt be found
WLP is able to connect to UCM & all required patches for CPP (patch APD4, patch AVW6, patch ZKHC) are also poperly applied.
On console, error logs show - Error - <May 5, 2011 1:02:49 PM IST> <Warning> <Events> <BEA-401903> <Duplicate EventListener com.bea.content.repo.internal.server.logic.search.ContentExporterListener not added to Handler com.bea.p13n.events.internal.EventHandler on Type {3}.>.

WebLogic Server 5.1 giving errors of code 500
Hi,
We have a system consisting of WebLogic Server 5.1 running on Sparc Solaris and
JDK 1.2.2 that is going to go into production soon. It houses JSPs and some
servlets (some of the servlets are JMS clients). The EJBs are kept on another
Sparc Solaris machine with the same version of WebLogic Server and JDK.
So far, the EJBs are running fine. However, it is noticed that after running for
one or two days, the instance of WebLogic Server that houses JSPs would give
the HTTP error code of 500 whenever it was contacted through a browser. The JMS
clients in the instance appeared to have stopped, as they did not print out
texts that were supposed to be shown whenver a message is received. The error
code of 500 was given for both JSP and HTML accesses. The system would not
recover from that condition even if it was left running for a few more hours.
Attaching the WebLogic Server Console to the instance of WebLogic Server
concerned did not reveal any possible cause, and the console appeared to
function correctly by providing information on system threads and JSP names
etc. weblogic.log, access.log and the console output (the messages written by
WebLogic Server to the terminal where it was started) did not reveal anything
unusual.
Wondering if anyone has encountered the same problem. Will appreciate any
help.

Before upgrading to service pack 6 for WebLogic Server 5.1. After first
starting up the WLS, a user would see our index.html, but then would see
error code 500 when trying to access the first JSP. A user would have to
hit the browser back button and try again and the first JSP page would come
up.
I would suggest that you see if service pack 6 will have any impact on your
problem, and see if that helps your situation.

It is resolved. The problem was with the request message for CreateOrderBySpecification. Remove the unwanted tags and keep only the required tags.

I use stand alone "XMLBeans survival kit" ( which I downloaded on 11/1/03 from
BEA site ). I use its xmlbean.jar and it works fine. I did not use its "scomp"
utility until today ( I used BEA's on-line compiler and it worked just great ).
When I tried to use the stand alone "scomp" , I've got into trouble. Here is the

[README.txt]Sorry, folks, the answer was quite simple: the default scomp script has pointed
to "wrong" location for java.exe. In particular, the scrip has specified compilation
command like this:
java -classpath %cp% com.bea.xbean.tool.SchemaCompiler %*
while it had to specify path to the java.exe based on JAVA_HOME env. variable
( I am saying "had" because README instructions state that the JAVA_HOME has to
be properly configured ). So, the solution looks like:
%JAVA_HOME%\bin\java -classpath %cp% com.bea.xbean.tool.SchemaCompiler %*

Hello,
Please note, I could not fit the entire post in one entry...had to do it in 3
I am getting numerous errors on startup of the weblogic server. Given that I followed the instructions to a T (Quick Start Guide for Oracle® SOA Suite 11gR1 (11.1.1.5.0)) . I am on windows 7.
(and even installed and re-installed weblogic several times), and re-created the domains it is just a little frustrating that SOA doesn't work right out of the box.
Near the end of the log file it does say
SOA Platform is running and accepting requests
However, just below it says:
line 6:12 mismatched character '<EOF>' expecting '"'
line 3:12 mismatched character '<EOF>' expecting '"'
And above throughout there are a huge number of warnings.

Proxy Authentication Error in Web Service with SAAJ on Weblogic 9.2 MP3
Hi,
I have encountered a problem with proxy authentication in SAAJ web service (WS) calls on Weblogic 9.2 MP3.
My WS client (which uses SAAJ's SOAP classes) should use a proxy that requires authentication to call the external web services.
However, it does not perform the authentication and receives HTTP Error 407 - Unauthorized.
The reason seems to be that Weblogic's Http Handler (weblogic.net.http.Handler) ignores the proxy authentication.
I was able to work around it by setting sun's http handler explicitly in the WS endpoint URL. Sun's handler (sun.net.www.protocol.http.Handler) makes use of the Authenticator class I provided.
1. Please see my code below and let me know if this is the only solution or if I'm doing something wrong. While testing on Tomcat I did not have to set the handler.
2. I have seen that there are also System properties for http.proxyUser and http.proxyPasword, however if I use these and ommit setting the SimpleAuthenticator, it also fails (with either handler!). An explanation of that is welcome.

This is very surprising error I am getting. Because getHandle(), getEJBHome(), isIdentical() are no where declared in business interface extending EJBObject.

I suspect that you are using a really old tutorial on EJB where the EJBContext, SessionContext or EntityContext were declared transient. This was, I believe, the case with EJB 1.0. You would need to remove the transient from the context declaration, if that is the case. -
HP P6203W CPU fan error on startup windows 7 32bit system
Hi there guys !
I got this HP computer for about a year now and since changing my broken CPU fan i got a CPU fan error on startup.
I have got a HP P6203W
MOBO: Pegatron Narra5
Bios: phoenix technologies 5.55 12/08/2009
I wanted to reduce some noise from my computer by replacing the CPU fan,
so i changed the original fan for a Noiseblocker-Multiframe M8-S1.
Now when i start up the computer; the fan slowly turns around , and i then got an CPU fan error before windows fired up. I can get past it by pressing F2 but its annoying to do so every time i start up. Plus I don't think the fan is turning fast enough.
I already tried checking cpu fan settings in the bios, but i have the blocked bios.
No fan settings here.
Do one of you guys have any clue about how to get my CPU fan working properly again or maybe a bios update for my motherboard ?
Any help would be very much appreciated !

There isn't a BIOS update available for your motherboard so that is not going to be an option.
On some BIOS you have the ability to disable the system from checking the CPU Fan to avoid the error. If it's there it would be under Advanced menu and then a sub menu called Hardware Monitor. HP like many manufacturers lock out settings to avoid users changing settings to much in the BIOS so the system may not have the option. Since you said you already checked the settings I'm assuming we can skip this.
So it brings us to the motherboard. The CPU fan plug on the motherboard is a 12v connector, the Noiseblocker you have starts a slow ramp up based on this link http://goo.gl/6jsgn it says it's a start voltage of only 5v. I'm thinking that since the CPU fan is not starting up quick enough the motherboard is failing out and giving the CPU fan error. In the end the error is not a real error because once the CPU fan actually works then it's good to go.
You may want to try a different CPU fan that has a quicker spin up, or at least move that CPU fan to another system to see if it exhibits the same slow spin up.

Try starting the managed server with parameters:
./startManagedWebLogic.sh myManagedServerName http://serverName:7001

I just created a new portal domain and it just does not startup.

I am having similar problem and I get this error if I replace the 9.2 MBean jar (generated with MakeMBean) with 8.1 version. The 9.2 MakeMBean utility seems to bundle a bunch of additional jaxb binding files into the jar (xsb, binding-file.xml, *BeanImpl etc). Optionally you can run an 8.1 MBean through the 'weblogic.Upgrade -type securityprovider', this will convert your authentication mbean jar to 9.2 which also includes above mentioned files.
Once you have an MBean jar, generated with the 9.2 MakeMBean you will probably get a similar error in that the startup will fail with error below: If you know how to fix this please let me know as I have spent a day on this with no luck.

PS: setting the -Dweblogic.configuration.schemaValidationEnabled=false option only causes the startup to fail as it cannot load the security provider (if this is your default provider I guess?)

You can consider implementing -XX:HeapDumpOnOutOfMemory or capture heap dump using jmap etc and check out the contents in the heap using MAT to understand the possible suspects.
