Weblogic.Admin fails 2nd time through script loop

Hi
I have a script to shutdown and restart Managed servers in a cluster that the first time through the loop is successful, the second time throws:
Failed to connect to http://lnx241.domain.com:7001: Destination unreachable; nested exception is:
java.net.ProtocolException: Tunneling result unspecified - is the HTTP server at host: 'lnx241.domain.com' and port: '7001' a WebLogic Server?; No available router to destination
Here is the loop part of the script:
ADMIN_URL=t3://lnx241.domain.com:7001
#list servers that you want to shutdown with a space between names.
LIST_SERVERS="absMaximoMngd1 absMaximoMngd2"
echo "***The servers shutdown is forced. If the server won't shutdown you may have to open another SSH session and kill the managed server that is having problems shutting down***"
#Stop the servers. Clear the servers' cache, restart the servers, hopefully one at a time...:)
# the cd command is here incase the script is run through cron
cd /bea/beadev/absMaximo
. /opt/bea/weblogic81/server/bin/setWLSEnv.sh
for server in $LIST_SERVERS
do
     SERVER_NAME=$server
     echo "Stopping Weblogic Server $SERVER_NAME..."
     java weblogic.Admin -url ${ADMIN_URL} -userconfigfile /bea/beadev/absMaximo/admin/adminKey/AdminConfig -userkeyfile /bea/beadev/absMaximo/admin/adminKey/AdminKeyFile FORCESHUTDOWN ${SERVER_NAME} 2>&1
     sleep 15
     clear_WLcache
     if [ $SERVER_NAME = absMaximoMngd1 ]
     then StartMngd1
     elif [ $SERVER_NAME = absMaximoMngd2 ]
     then StartMngd2
     fi
     sleep 5
done
If anyone has any insight into why this occurs, the help would be appreciated! Thanks!

The lead to this error came though verbose logs; for which the path was mentioned in server logs. After going through the verbose logs, it was found that the content from the source was getting combined with the destination and at this time, the process was failing. This was owing to huge content being stored in the source.
The solution was found by scoping the nodes which are required to be downloaded in source and thus, 'content services' were filtered out. Hence, the commit after the solution didnot try committng the content and hence, was successfull.

  • Write to spreadsheet without prompting each time through a loop

    So my goal is to take measurements every 5 minutes (or whatever the time delay is, currently 15 seconds until it is ready to use) for several days. My biggest issue is that it asks me after each run where to save to. Is there an easy fix so that once a location is chosen I would be able to walk away and just let it keep running for days and it would keep appending data into that file after each delay?
    My other thought was data logging. The issue I get with trying to log the data is having it be usable. When I choose a blank excel file to log into I get "The data in the VI's log file is incompatible with the VI's front panel." Why is this incompatibile if I have it going ot a spreadsheet that can be saved as a .xls? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I attached my program that I have set up. I understand you dont have the Keithley device so you can't run it, but any help would still be greatly appreciated.

    Connect the new path output back to the path input via a globally initialized feedback node.
    What is considered the new path output? I tried attaching the right side of the feedback node to the data as well as the spreadsheet vi. Neither worked. I also tried keeping the left side blank as well as attaching it to the spreadsheet with the right side to the data. I am not familiar with the feedback node and the help section didn't do a ton for helping me. All of the various combinations I have tried connecting the data or write to spreadsheet have all resulted in prompting me for a file each time through the loop still. I attached the most basic thing I tried, but if you would like other combinations I have tried I can re wire and attach those as well.

  • I noticed that any other code in my while loop only gets called at the 1st time through the loop and when a event is executed.

    HI there!
    I have a while loop, in which i am reading from/writing  to a compact rio. Furthermore, i added a event structure, its the 1st time i'm using it so i'm a bit lost at times.
    I have the event structure set up for all my button i want to trigger an event. However, i have some other code which i would also like to be executed, evebn though no event has been executed.
    I noticed that the other stuff in the loop only gets executed the 1st time through the loop and when an event is triggered.
    My question therefore is, how do i get the other stuff to execute as well?
    Please advise.
    Thanks.
    Regards,

    Put the other code in the timeout event case.  Wire some positive value to the timeout hourglass input.  That code will execute everytime a timeout occurs.  For instance, if you wire 100 into the timeout, the code in that case will execute every 100 mSec.

  • Procdure fails 2nd time executed

    I have a procedure (below) that is executed by a WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger. The first time in a session that I push the button, executing the procedure, it's successful, the second time, my form just goes blank and locks up. I've narrowed it down to the query itself "select max(yr) from...", the message before it shows up the second time, but then immediately locks up. Seems like something is being held onto.
    Procedure called by the WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger:
    PROCEDURE set_fy_parameter IS
    l_yr VARCHAR(4) := NULL; -- NULL doesn't matter, doesn't work either way.
    BEGIN
    Message('YEAR '||l_yr);
    SELECT MAX(FY) INTO l_yr FROM sum_mth_SALES;
    Message('YEAR Set to '||l_yr);
    END;

    If your procedure does sth else e.g. you said, a query, other than the code you listed in your quest,i.e.,
    PROCEDURE set_fy_parameter IS
    l_yr VARCHAR(4) := NULL; -- NULL doesn't matter, doesn't work either way.
    BEGIN
    Message('YEAR '||l_yr);
    SELECT MAX(FY) INTO l_yr FROM sum_mth_SALES;
    Message('YEAR Set to '||l_yr);
    END; --I believe this code will not 'lock' anything
    you may debug it thru stepping in, to see the difference b/w the first and second call.
    besides, thru the error, it seems it is likely the version compatible issue too. so use your new version builder to open your 6i form and compile it then see what happens.

  • Cannot run webcam 2nd time

    Hi
    I'm trying to capture image by webcam using JMF. It always runs 1st time and fails 2nd time thrwoing following exception:

    I googled the issue and found that most possibly JMF can't close the cam properly 1st time, so next time it throws exception. In my code it's actually closed like below:
      public void destroy()
        player.stop();
        //still exists but memory not assigned.
        player.deallocate();
        //get rid of it.
        player.close();
        System.out.println("finalize called");
        player.removeControllerListener( this );
    Now I need a workaround, could anyone help me resolve the issue?
    Thanks
    Rashed

    Percy,
    Saving to the harddisk is the safe and troublefree way. Saving through a network is a known troublemaker.
    Maybe you can reset the network connexion somehow. You may try disconnecting and reconnecting between savings and see whether that solves the issue; at least it may show the nature of the issue.

  • Time Machine hangs/stalls when restoring-2nd time trying, what to do?

    My MB Pro had the dreaded blinking ?. I ended up having to erase and reinstall Snow Leopard-no problems with that. I've backed up my MBP on Time Machine. I am attempting for the 2nd time to restore. First time, it stalled at the beginning of Applications. I restarted the computer, but it was working VERY slowly, and then the desktop pic was half blue screen and half galaxy. It wouldn't let me open anything. I erased and reinstalled SL again, and then my 2nd time through (this is about 12 hrs at a time trying to restore), it got to almost the very end of the restore (restoring apps), and stalled again-went from 52 minutes to 11 hours! Dreaded pinwheel of death. Ideas? I'm thinking about just restoring one thing at a time (i.e. users; files & folders), and NOT restoring apps. Think this is a good idea?
    I am assuming this is a software issue, since the SL erase and install goes smoothly, and gets past the apple logo screen when restarting.
    HELP!
    TIA

    Where are your backups? If they're on a Time Capsule, connect to it via Ethernet, not WIFI. If they're on a USB disk connected to a Time Capsule, Airport Extreme, or a different Mac, connect it directly to your Mac.
    Then Repair the backups, per #A5 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).
    Then do a full system restore, per #14 in [Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/FAQ.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).

    The environment had been up and running for many months, have done many successfull restarts occasionally. But after an ungraceful shutdown (database connection was down and managed server wouldn't shutdown through admin console) of the managed server & admin server, the startup through admin console stopped working. No configurations had been modified and we have two other systems working with similar configurations.
    The log is stating that "<The admin server could not be reached at http://10.123.456.78:7001.>" but it actually is listening at that IP and port and I can connect to it with other means. I'm able to ping the hostname, IP, localhost etc... and network connection shouldn't be an issue even though the log states so.
    Does anyone have any ideas what is broken? Thanks for any help in advance!

    Hi,
    With script I meant the startManagedWebLogic.cmd script (on Windows). The managed server is running on the same machine as the admin server.
    The hosts file has also been checked, it has the same content as two other environments which are working fine. But anyway we tried adding the IP & hostname there, but it didn't fix the issue. Nothing is wrong with the DNS either.
    I'm also able to ping the address:port, with the command you gave I get the following result:
    Sending 1 ping of 100 bytes.
    RTT = ~0 milliseconds, or ~0 milliseconds/packet
    When I'm trying to restart the managed server through admin console (on my laptop), I can see on the server side that there is a connection to the IP:port of admin server from my laptop's IP:
    C:\>netstat -an | grep 7001
    TCP 10.123.456.78:7001 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
    TCP 10.123.456.78:7001 10.164.51.33:3965 ESTABLISHED
    I again want to say that no changes have been done to any configurations in the environment. It was working fine before the "ungraceful" shutdown, where the connection to DB (that the managed server uses) was down and neither the managed or admin server would shutdown through admin console, but were shutdown by closing the cmd prompt window(used to start admin server) and java.exe task from taskmgr (managed server).

  • WebLogic Admin server fails to start after reboot

    Hi Gurus,
    Weblogic Admin server won't start up after a server reboot. Note that weblogic was gracefully shutdown before the restart.
    Also note that the following files were accidentally deleted after the reboot (but I don't think that should cause an issue..):
    /opt/shared/apps/hyperion/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/EPMSystem/servers/AdminServer/data/store/default/_WLS_ADMINSERVER000000.DAT

    Issue is :
    Caused By: weblogic.management.provider.EditFailedException:
    One probable reason can be some change made to the config.xml file . If you have previous backup for the config.xml file then try to replace the config.xml file and restart the server .
    Another reason for this exception may be that there were some changes made to configuration through the Admin Console which were not activated completely and Admin Server was restarted . under this scenario weblogic will create a /pendig dir and have a config.xml file created there with the un-activated changes .
    some workaround you can try to restore the Admin Server :
    Under domain dir ,
    \pending directory -- take backup and delete the dir .
    Under Admin Server Dir :
    data\store --- take backup and delete the dir .
    thanks,

  • Weblogic admin console fails to start when commons logging is used.

    I have an application that requires commons logging.
    I followed the instructions as per the documentation and other forum entries such as How to use log4j into weblogic 10.3 to add the commons logging jar from apache and the weblogic jar specified. Plus I set the system property for the LogFactory.
    When I start up the application server I see messages as expected from my application. But when I start up the weblogic Admin console I get and exception and the console fails to start. I even tried to put the jars in my applicaiton instead of the domain/lib directory to try to iscolate the issue but still got issues with starting the Console.
    Any ideas on why this is occuring?

    Thank you for replying. Yes that is the first place we looked and tried. Actually to be more specific we followed the instrcutions under: "How to Use the Commons API with WebLogic Logging Services" of the same link.
    Are you thinking that maybe we are we missing a step somewhere else within the site?
    Not sure if I was clear before but we are using Weblogic 10.3 and also tried up to version 10.3.3. And we get the same results.
    We prefer to use the method with commons logging for our application.
    One more specific here what we did on our last attempt.
    1. added this to the startWeblogic script JAVAOPTIONS -Dorg.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory=weblogic.logging.commons.LogFactoryImpl
    2. we put the WebLogic-specific Commons classes, $BEA_HOME/modules/com.bea.core.weblogic.commons.logging_1.3.0.0.jar, together with the commons-logging.jar file in one of the following locations: APP-INF/LIB or WEB-INF/LIB directory or DOMAIN_NAME/LIB directory server CLASSPATH
    We are still not able to get the Weblogic admin console to start
    Any other ideas?

  • 2nd time Loop error in rejection reason/changes req

    Hello experts,
    I have created an wf with loop step.
    In that loop branch,m displaying a doc in approvers inbox, then i have put a decision step with 2 button - 'Approve' and 'Changes req'.
    For button Changes req, loop will continue.ok
    In tht changes req branch, i hv put a task of BO SOFM, method- create for approver so tht he can enter thr wht r the changes he wants.
    thn i hv put task as BO SOFM, method-display for initiator so tht he can see the changes req.
    thn doc will opened in edit mode for initiator to make req changes.
    thn it will agn go back to approver for approval.
    he will agn get the decision screen with 2 buttons.
    now while testing this....this all worked fine when approver clicked in button 'changes req' in decision box..after tht SOFM create worked fine.
    But during 2nd time whn approver is checking the doc 2nd time and still he again wants some other changes to be done so he will agn click on button 'changes req'. this 2nd time tht SOFM-create is not working and wf goin to error as -
    1. Notification of completion cannot be generated
    2. Problems occurred when generating a mail
    3.Error '9' when calling service 'SO_OBJECT_SEND'
    4.Error handling for work item 000000006050
    PLz suggest how this can be solved.
    Best Regards

    I think you might have to use the EDIT method of SOFM Business Object as you are going to change the existing document.
    Thanks

    Can anybody share a weblogic.admin utility script for alerting the server status in unix ?

    Below is the solaris shell script integrated with weblogic.admin utility....
    If the server status is other than running it will sends a alert mail to you.
    Sometime your server may be in shutdown mode and if you execute the below script, it says destination not reachable on specified port and then also it sends a alert mail.
    Change it according to ur env and execute...
    set -x

  • How can reset password of bulk users in one time through AD or script?

    how can reset password of bulk users in one time through AD or script?

    Hello Mr. Lovely,
    Do you have ActiveDirectory Module which shipped with Windows Server 2008 R2? If you have it, you can complete this task very easily.
    #First, you need to import ActiveDirectory Module
    Import-Module ActiveDirectory
    #Second, generate a SecureString which contains the password.
    $securePwd = ConvertTo-SecureString -String "P@ssw0rd!" -Force -AsPlainText
    #Third, find the Active Directory users ,and use Set-ADAccountPassword for resetng the password.
    Get-ADUser -Filter {Name -like "Test*"} | Set-ADAccountPassword -NewPassword $securePwd
    Also, you can review following link for more details about the Active Directory cmdlets.

    You will be advised by people here that Sophos is "junk" and should be removed {...} Sophos actually works pretty well, in my testing, and so I would suspect that there may be an underlying problem with your file system that needs to be repaired.
    FWIW, I have used Sophos regularly for several years now (including on my new iMac running Mountain Lion versions 10.8.2 & now 10.8.3) & never had any problems with it on any of the half dozen or so Macs I have installed it on.
    Quite a few people automatically assume all Mac A-V software is troublesome junk, & many will leap to the conclusion it is the cause of some problem without considering other potential (& often much more likely) causes, regardless of which A-V product is installed.
    Obviously I hope, not all A-V products are alike, so it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to condemn them all because of problems with one of them. Regarding Sophos in particular, finding first hand reports of it causing problems is quite difficult -- typically, if you ask for the details it turns out to be a second or third hand report & there isn't enough info available to know for certain if it is the real cause or not.
    This is not to say it is impossible for it to cause problems, just that it is prudent to consider all the possibilities before concluding that any one of them is the cause.
