ALL WORKS FINE!!!!
i'm using Weblogic 510 with SP9 in a Windows 2000 Prof environment

    looks like you didn't install the application development runtime on WLS, or if you did, you either forgot to extend your domain with the JRF or installed the wrong version of the application development runtime.

  • Difference between prefer-application-packages in weblogic.xml and weblogic-application.xml?

    Hi!
    When deploying a WAR to WebLogic 10.3.5, what is the difference between the prefer-application-packages element in the files weblogic.xml and weblogic-application.xml?
    In my WARs WEB-INF/lib/ I have a JAR that contains classes that are already provided by the container (but older versions).
    If I do not use prefer-application-packages then my app gets the classes provided by the container.
    If I use prefer-application-packages in weblogic.xml then I get the classes from WAR/WEB-INF/lib which is expected.
    But if I use prefer-application-packages in weblogic-application.xml then I get the container versions. Why?
    Is there a difference between those two options?
    The exact data I use is:
    (foo.bar.* is the conflicting package; I add or remove the linex marked with XXXX)
    WEB-INF/weblogic.xml :

    I have to weblogic servers running on different ports.
    http://server1:port1
    http://server2:port2
    I have configured JMS store, JMS server, Destination (queue) in port2. I am able to send messages and retrieve messages in port2.
    I have written a MDB which was deployed in server1. I want to process the Messages posted to server2 destination. I tried to configure foreign JMS server in server1.
    In both servers, i am using default connection factories only.
    I am getting the following exceptions.
    ForeignMDB is unable to connect to the JMS destination: LocalTestingQueue
    LocalTestingQueue is the local jndi name given to the foreign destination.
    please find below the weblogic.xml entries for MDB
    <weblogic-enterprise-bean>
         <ejb-name>ForeignMDB</ejb-name>
         <message-driven-descriptor>           <destination-jndi-name>LocalTestingQueue</destination-jndi-name>           <initial-context-factory>weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory</initial-context-factory>
              <provider-url>http://myserver:26565</provider-url>          <connection-factory-jndi-name>weblogic.jms.ConnectionFactory</connection-factory-jndi-name>
         </message-driven-descriptor>
    </weblogic-enterprise-bean>
    could you please guide me to complete this?
    Thanks in advance
    Srinivas

    1 - Ensure that the MDB is configured to reference the remote connection factory AND remote destination.
    2 - If using the foreign JMS server facility, ensure that it defines the URL of the remote cluster/server, a connection factory mapping, and a destination mapping. Also ensure that the MDB connection factory and destination descriptor fields reference the local JNDI names for the mappings.
    3 - If not using the foreign JMS server facility, ensure that the MDB descriptor has the URL of the remote cluster, and a destination JNDI name that's in the remote cluster. (The connection factory JNDI name is not needed in this case, as the MDB will automatically look for a default connection factory that MDB's use.)
    I think the MDB chapter of the EJB programmer's guide will likely be helpful here. The latest documentation for the latest release may be more up-to-date than 8.1 -- the concepts are the same with the newer releases.

  • Need Weblogic.jar from Weblogic server 9.2

    Hi All,
    I need weblogic.jar from Weblogic server 9.2.
    but i dont want to download & install Weblogic Server 9.2.
    Is thereany way i can get only the .jar file?
    Thanks & Regards,
    BOB

    We are having this problem as well. I e-mailed BEA support, but they just said we needed to include the jar in the EAR (this is all supposed to be assembled automatically by the workshop).
    For us the issue seems to be the files not being put into the EAR automatically as they are with other types of projects. If we have to manually copy/jar up our class files then we might as well just use notepad and some batch files and skip BEA altogether.

  • Issues with interoperability between Weblogic 12 and Weblogic 8.1

    Hi, I'm experiencing issues trying to perform a JNDI lookup from Weblogic 12C to a Weblogic 8.1 Weblogic instance.  The error I am receiving is:
    javax.naming.CommunicationException [Root exception is weblogic.socket.UnrecoverableConnectException: [Login failed: 'Incompatible version: Incompatible versions - this server:8.1.5.0 client:12.1.1.0]]
    This same test when performed from a Weblogic 11G to Weblogic 8.1 instance works fine.  Can anyone enlighten me to whether this is a bug or if its no longer supported.  Also, if this is no longer a supported configuration is there any methods of achieving this without upgrading all of the applications and queues on the Weblogic 8.1 instance.
    Thanks
    Steve

    can you set the domain sensor logger to debug on the windows installation and post the log file results for the problematic case? For the default domain, this would be the default.collaxa.cube.sensor logger (accessible from the manage bpel domain link in the upper right hand corner of the console and then the logging subtab). The log messages appear in the orabpel/domains/<domain name>/logs/domain.log file.

  • Help with add file name problem with Photoshop CS4

    Frustrating problem: Help with add file name problem with Photoshop CS4. What happens is this. When I am in PS CS4 or CS3 and run the following script it runs fine. When I am in Bridge and go to tools/photoshop/batch and run the same script it runs until it wants interaction with preference.rulerunits. How do I get it to quit doing this so I can run in batch mode? Any help is appreciated. HLower

  • Weblogic.jar for Weblogic 4.5.1

    I'm trying to upgrade the Weblogic JSP Compiler optional Ant task so that it
    will
    work with newer version of Weblogic JSP Compiler. I got it to work for 6.1,
    7.0 and 8.1.
    The current released version of Ant supports only Weblogic JSP compiler
    version 4.5.1.
    I want to ensure backward compatibility with 4.5.1 jsp compiler but I don't
    have the older version of Weblogic 4.5.1. I've gone to the Bea support site
    and apparently, our company's support contract doesn't allow me to download
    older versions of WebLogic.
    How do I get my hands on the older version? I don't need the entire
    product, I just need the portion that has the Weblogic JSP Compiler
    (weblogic.jar)

    4.5.1 isn't supported anymore so I wouldn't worry about it.

  • SimpleCallbackHandler no longer in weblogic.jar for WebLogic 10.3g

    I was using the weblogic.security.SimpleCallbackHandler in WebLogic 9.2 to authenticate users. I looked at the documentation for 10.3g and it still mentions this class is available, however it is not in the weblogic.jar file nor in the javadocs. Here is the URL where I was looking. http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs103/security/thin_client.html#wp1035574.
    The only CallbackHandler in the 10.3g release seems to be the weblogic.security.URLCallbackHandler class. I tried replacing the SimpleCallbackHandler with this class. When I put the weblogic.jar in my classpath and build, I get the following error.
    class file for weblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject not found
    ServletAuthentication.runAs(mySubject, request);
    Indeed, this class is not in the weblogic.jar file. Both SimpleCallbackHandler and AuthenticatedSubject were in the weblogic.jar for WebLogic 9.2
    <code>
    import javax.security.auth.Subject;
    import weblogic.security.SimpleCallbackHandler;
    import weblogic.security.services.Authentication;
    public ActionForward execute(ActionMapping mapping, ActionForm form, HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws Exception {
    LoginForm loginForm = (LoginForm) form;
    Subject subject = Authentication.login(new SimpleCallbackHandler(loginForm.getUsername(), loginForm.getPassword().getBytes()));
    weblogic.servlet.security.ServletAuthentication.runAs(subject, request);
    <./code>
    Why were these removed and not deprecated???

    SimpleCallbackHandler does not exist in weblogic.jar. Used the following code to get around this. WebLogic documentation offers this as an alternative to using SimpleCallbackHandler.
    Subject subject = Authentication.login(new URLCallbackHandler(uid, pwd));
    weblogic.servlet.security.ServletAuthentication.runAs(subject, request);
    This code agrees with the snippet provided in WebLogic documentation
    Project does not compile with the following error:
    Project: C:\apps\11g\PrismMainApp\ViewController\ViewController.jpr
    C:\apps\11g\PrismMainApp\ViewController\src\adr\prismmain\view\managed\PrismLogin.java
    Error(70,28): cannot access weblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject

  • Document links  a name problem

    I am having an a href / a name problem after constructing my
    newsletter for email dissemination. When I create the email and use
    a href="article1" to a name="article1" it works on my computer to
    take the viewer from the menu link to the document in the article
    but when I send it out in a test email it attempts to find a
    location on my computer.
    Help please so I can send out my email newsletter.
    Thanks
    Voodoo

    Hi David - yes, you and I both!! It has totally wrecked my data-base of Help links.
    The more this issue is given air space maybe the better chance to rectify it. Surely it can't be too difficult to create a method whereby old URLs are transferred to the new system?

  • Getting the webapp name in Custom tag?

    Hi,
    I have a custom tag that dispalys some search results, and at the bottom of the results is a link to a controller servlet to go ad get more results to display. (Sounds bad I know but the search is very quick).
    I would like this tag to be used in webapps of different names, and so need to know the web app name to build the link.
    I can use pageContext.getRequest().getRealPath(""), and chop the webapp name off the end, but I was hoping for a nicer solution?
    My Tag extends TagSupport.
    Thanks
    James

    ((HttpServletRequest) pageContext.getRequest()).getContextPath();

  • Name Problem while creating Proxy

    Dear All,
    While creating a proxy we are getting warning with regards to NAMES PROBLEM.
    Under Names Problem tab there are 3 comments:
    1. Object Already Exists
    2. Name already exists
    3. Special Character / underscore at position 30 deleted.
    As per my understanding the objects already exists, but I have deleted those objects create earlier by deleting the proxy.
    Is there any way from where we can delete already deleted objects?
    Is it because of Cache refresh, if yes than please tell how to refresh Cache in ECC system?
    While activating any Functional Module in same ECC system, I can see all earlier created objects although I have deleted all of them while deleting proxy objects.
    Please help!!

    Table structures are not deleted automatically. Check in SE80 for all objects created with SPROXY.
    The issue could happen also, when name of data type, message type and message interface is equal. Then the creation ot the data type objects fails, is there is already an object related to message type.
    For proxy genaration you should name all ojects with a prefix, like DT for data type.
