Weblogic server 5.1 restarted automatically

Hi,
I am using weblogic 5.1 with SP 13. While accessing the pages, frequently
it is throwing

And in a very rare cases, the weblogic server system shutsdown and starts immediately.
What is the cause to make the system shutdown? Thanks in advance.

Most likely you have another WebLogic instance already listening on 7001.

  • Changing Weblogic Server properties without restarting Weblogic Server

I have an application that requires a few things to be set at the start of the
Weblogic server (email addresses, criteria settings, etc.). These are contained
in a properties file that is referenced in the Weblogic properties file. The
problem is when I want to make a change in the application property file (change
an email address, increment a criteria) I have to "reboot" the Weblogic server.
These defeats the whole purpose of property files. Is there anyway to get Weblogic
to "recache" the properties files without a Weblogic server "reboot"?
    Thanks,
    Bryan

I very much doubt that you would be able to refresh the WebLogic properties
file at run-time (is this WebLogic 5.1 or 6.0 you are talking a about?).
If you want to be able to update properties run-time (as opposed to
boot-time) then don't use WebLogic's property file - use either your own
properties file or store the properties elsewhere such as in the database or
in JNDI. You will of course have to implement your own refresh algorithm.
If you are using EJBs then a simple READ-ONLY entity bean with a refresh
period of a few seconds may suffice.

  • J2EE Server Process is restarted automatically?

    Hi,
On one of our systems we have seen that one J2EE server process was taking up nearly 100% CPU, after a few hours suddenly the process seemed to restart itself. I am guessing that maybe JControl Framework restarted it since it was chewing up so much CPU, but can't find any documentation regarding if JControl can do this and if it logs anything to say it did an automatic restart. Can anyone clear this up?
    Thanks in advance,
    Simon

  • Notify when managed server restarts automatically after a crash.

I am trying to see if there is some way I can be notified (by email) when a managed server a cluster restarts automatically. I am running Weblogic 9.2 on Solaris Sparc 5.10.
I can certainly compare the PIDs of the last and the new JVM but am looking for a slick way to do it especially at the Node Manager level.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
*The server was started in warning mode and the JTA was declared unhealthy. I saw 2 transaction alive for more than 2000 seconds which is uncommon.
*The resource adaptor was started properly.
*We are using file store. But will it make a difference?
    Thanks!

This message indicates that the configuration setting for the Apache plugin are proper.
You probably need to check if our Weblogic server has been restarted properly.

  • Secure server instance restarts automatically

    Hi All,
I am using iPlanet Web Server 6.0 SP1 with weblogic app server ( no LDAP ) to host a website on Windows 2000 machine. I have two virtual server instances of iPlanet. The one that is configured for SSL, gets restarted automatically. I get following error in event log of system or error log of that instance.
ncorrect Parameter     security ( 3780): for host 202.68.143.70 trying to HEAD /index.html, acl-state reports: access of D:/iPlanet/Servers/docs/web/index.html denied by ACL path=d:/iplanet/servers/docs/web/ directive 1
    The ACL entries are OK.
Could anybody please help me out?

The error message states that the server denied access to a client who was trying to access D:/iPlanet/Servers/docs/web/index.html. It denied access as it was instructed to by the first access control directive configured on the path d:/iplanet/servers/docs/web/. If you don't want to deny access to D:/iPlanet/Servers/docs/web/index.html, you should review your ACL file configuration.

  • Running a class automatically when weblogic server is started

    Hi,
    My requirement is as follows:
I need to constantly (once in every 15 mins) poll a database and check
for a particular field in a table. I am using weblogic 5.1.0 as
    application server.
Now, I developed ServerTimer class, which implements Schedulable,
Triggerable classes of weblogic. When I run ServerTimer class
(explicitly from the command line) I could poll the database.
Now my requirement is to make ServerTimer to run automatically when I
    start/restart the weblogic server.
    How do I do this?
    Thanks,
    Naga

Assuming you are using WL5.1, then in your WL properties file:

    application server.
    Thanks,
    Naga

  • Shouldn't there be an option called restart weblogic server in jdeevloper?

    Hi,
Should there be an option called restart weblogic server which automatically stops and again start instead of the people doing it manually to make it easier for people ? Since most the time WLS runs out memory. Just a thought :)
    -Sam

If you really want such an option - just create a simple bat file that executes the stopWebLogic and then the startWeblogic scripts from the defaultDomain directory - then you can add this as a toolbar or menu option using the tools->external tools option.

  • PI 7.0 Production server restarts automatically

    Hi guys,
We have installed and configured correctly a PI 7.0 system on Windows 2003 Standard Edition X64-bit with SQL Server 2005. We are on SP12. Everything, SLD, RFC connections work properly.
The problem is that 4-5 days after the installation the Windows Server restarts automatically in unexpected time during the day (unexpected shutdown), even when anybody doesn't do anything in the system. In the Event Viewer we get the following message/error "System Error: Category 102 EventID 1003". There are no other messages/errors.
This is a production system and we are supposed to go live within the next days! So I need your help ASAP.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.
    Best Regards.

  • Configuring weblogic server to start automatically

Hi, I have installed oracle weblogic server 11g, jdk/jre 7 and forms & reports 11g. i have successfully installed all softwares. I configured forms and reports domain and weblogic domain. I would like to have weblogic start automatically when i login in to comp/server. Right now i have to click on the start admin server for weblogic server domain button in domain folder and the stop admin server button. I also have to type in the username and password into the cmd promt when i click the start and stop admin server buttons.
How can i have the forms and reporst weblogic server start automatically?
how can i get past not having to enter in username and password each time it starts up and stops? (this is entering the username and password before you get to the weblogic console login screen)

i configured it as a windows service. i followed the instructions from the link you provided and when i finished i named the file "startweblogic.cmd." I put the file in the "WL_HOME\server\bin" directory which also has the installsvc.cmd file in and ran it as administrator.

  • Reload a jar in weblogic server without restart

    Hi All,
We are using weblogic version '10.0.1.0' and have 'reports.jar' file in server for reports.
If we change any existing class file under 'reports.jar' then we are using below steps in order to recognize a modified jar by weblogic
    1) We need to recreate a jar using eclipse in local IDE and
    2) Copy the 'reports.jar' into server
    3) Need to restart server inorder to recognize the modified jar
Is there any alternative solution to reload a jar in weblogic server without restart?
    Please do the needful.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Gangadhar

    Hi,
If this is for weblogic running on development mode, then you can go for auto-deployment feature where weblogic will auto-deploy modified application from autodeploy directory.
For production mode, you can go for production-redeployment feature of weblogic where it uses application versioning. So for example you deployed webapp1 with version app1.0 and then for new release you will deploy webapp1 with version app2.0 adding a retirement policy to retire old application after said time and start using webapp1 with app2.0.
Refer to link for mode detail - http://middlewaresupport.wordpress.com/2013/03/21/production-redeployment-feature-in-weblogic/
    rank it if found useful
