Weblogic Server: HTTP Referer is empty

When you connect to the webserver - the Referer in the request header is always blank and doesn't provide the link/URL that sent you there. Only after logging onto a Peoplesoft app (after the default sign-ing page) using java servlets - does the Referer start to have a value in it. Does Weblogic have any settings that is keeping this information unavailable by default until something is seen in the code? Any idea's would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Oracle Weblogic Server - HTTP server

    Hi,
Does Oracle's Weblogic Server Enterprise Edition come with an HTTP server similar to what Oracle Application Server 10.1.2 has?
    Thanks

I believe the license to WLS EE includes "Web Tier" a relatively new license offering that primarily contains Oracle HTTP Server and Oracle Web Cache as well as some of Sun's HTTP server offerings.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/web_cache/pdf/WebTier11gR1.pdf
Of course WLS also supports other web plugins such as plain Apache, IIS, etc.

  • Accssing web applcation in weblogic server using only https

There was a demo certificate that comes with the weblogic. I installed that certificate,
but I still can accesse the application using http. is it possible to access
    the application using only https..?
    Mohamed

Instead of using defaultauthenticator, you need to create RDBMS Authentication Providers inside myrelam of weblogic server.

The WebLogic Server installation you have referred to in this link is the "developer" distribution which is a simple zip file distribution that has no installer. Putting "FMW" on top of this is not supported. This is documented in the readme on the download site: http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/middleware/11g/wls/README.txt
If you want to learn Oracle Forms, then you need to use a full installer of WebLogic Server.
Try this page here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/downloads/wls-main-097127.html and select the "Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.4) + Coherence - Package Installer" for your specific platform:
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/middleware/11g/wls/wls1034_win32.exe
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/linux/middleware/11g/wls/wls1034_linux32.bin
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/solaris/middleware/11g/wls/wls1034_solaris32.bin
or the generic installer if you are not on one of those platforms:
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/middleware/11g/wls/wls1034_generic.jar
** I don't know if WLS 10.3.4 is the correct version to go with the Forms/Reports installer, please check those details for yourself. But the process will be the same if WLS 10.3.3 is required per the certification.

  • Weblogic  server10.3.3 (Oracle Weblogic Server 11gR1) and sql server 2008db

Is SQL Server 2008 db supported for use with weblogic server 10.3.3
we use connection pools and XA and weblogic bundled drivers
we are planning an upgrade from 9.2mp3 to 10.3.3 weblogic server
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13196_01/platform/suppconfigs/configs103/103_over/supported_db.html#1179245
seems to indicate that only sqlserver 2005 is supported
Is there a more current version of the suported configurations that I am missing ?
    Appreciate any feedback on this
    Thanks

contact support for official policy. Technically, the drivers do support the DBMS version.
If you use any higher API than JDBC, there might be a question as to whether a
particulare API was certified with the latter DBMS version, but unless the DBMS
changed so it behaved differently than the previous for the same activity, then
    there should be no problem....

  • Configuring Apache HTTP Server with Oracle Weblogic Server plugin

    Hello friends,
I have a scenario of OIM 9.1.0.2 on Oracle Application Server 11g and Weblogic Server Apache HTTP Server.
Oracle WebLogic Server is configured in cluster (node1 and node2), also use the Oracle Weblogic Server plugin for integration with Apache.
One of the tests is to lose one of the nodes for the apache plugin redirects the node that has less overhead.
When the mode is node1 and node2 stop start mode and try to access the management console of Oracle Identity Manager, the plugin sometimes redirects to the other active node, and on another occasion shows the oracle management console identity manager without the colors of the basic look and feel.
Deputy of the Apache HTTP Server log, do you expect your comments to solve this case?

"One of the tests is to lose one of the nodes for the apache plugin redirects the node that has less overhead."
Note that the plug-in does a round robin load balancing, for example, in the case of three server (1,2,3) it does 1-2-3-1-2-3-1...
with server 3 going down it does 1-2-1-2-1...
An example configuration (with SSL off) looks as follows:
    LoadModule weblogic_module   "/home/oracle/weblogic12.1.1/apache/modules/mod_wl.so"
    <IfModule weblogic_module>
         ConnectTimeoutSecs 10
         ConnectRetrySecs 2
         DebugConfigInfo ON
         WLSocketTimeoutSecs 2
         WLIOTimeoutSecs 300
         Idempotent ON
         FileCaching ON
         KeepAliveSecs 20
         KeepAliveEnabled ON
         DynamicServerList ON
         WLProxySSL OFF
    </IfModule>
    <Location /LoadTest6>
         SetHandler weblogic-handler
         WebLogicCluster 172.31.0.175:7002,172.31.0.113:7003
</Location>Also see the complete example here: http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=7795
"the plugin sometimes redirects to the other active node"
This is somewhat strange, do you have session binding turned off?
"and on another occasion shows the oracle management console identity manager without the colors of the basic look and feel."
This could happen due to mime types (not really sure just a hunch). Here is a general story on this concept: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Properly_Configuring_Server_MIME_Types
    and the apache module: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_mime.html

  • How do I create custom HTTP Error Pages for a Weblogic Server

I need to be able to display custom HTTP error pages such as a 404 from my Weblogic
Server when my web application is not deployed.
    Is this possible?
I have seen some suggestions about putting something like:
    <error-page>
    <error-code>404</error-code>
    <location>Error404.jsp</location>
    </error-page>
in the web.xml for my web application but I can't see how that would work since
the web application would not be deployed. I need to set these messages at the
    server level.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    thanks

Your CategoryAxis id="ha_ccm" uses categoryField="period", and this is the label for the your series (i.e. "Quarter 4/2010"). You cannot have multiple categoryFields for the CategoryAxis; it can only use one data field for the labels. You can use data tips and/or label functions to show the individual series' values on the columns.
    Also:
Your labelField in the ColumnSeries are set to a ColumnSet name instead of a field name in your dataprovider.
Font must be embedded if you set ColumnChart.showLabelVertically="true".

  • Empty Weblogic Server 8.1 SP1 Repeating Stack Trace

Thanks in advance for any help and attention!
An instance of Weblogic 8.1 SP1 on our UAT environment keeps on spitting out stack traces even though the only user accessing WL is via the admin console. There are no applications deployed on this platform.
The stack trace is also intermittent and can't be attributed to a specific action. This is occuring on our UAT environment and on a WL install which is a copy of our production environment. But we don't get these stack traces on production??
Here are some details of the server hosting WL 8.1 SP1 in our UAT environment.

What about Red Hat 7.2 ?
I do not understand very well if this version has anything to do with the
    ones mentioned on supported platforms

    Campot,
Unfortunately WLS 8.1 sp1 is not supported on RedHat 7.1
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/certifications/certs_810/overview.html#1043408
should provide you more information on this.
    Thanks

Can I install WebLogic Server 8.1 SP1 on Linux Redhat 7.1?
I looked the documentation and it is not clear if the server runs on
    this
    Linux version
    Thanks

  • Can't start Appache HTTP server with Weblogic Server 8.1.

We are trying to use the Appache HTTP server with the Weblogic Server 8.1 on HPUX 11i platform.
For this purpose we use Weblogic 8.1 plug-in for Apache 2.0.50 - mod_wl_20.so shared library.
When trying to start the Apache server I got the following error:
    /usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't shl_load() a library containing Thread Local Storage: /usr/lib/libcl.2
    /usr/lib/dld.sl: Exec format error
Syntax error on line 234 of /tsauser5.p302/tsa/crm/tsacla2/Apache_DEV2/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /tsauser5.p302/tsa/crm/tsacla2/Apache_DEV2/modules/mod_wl_20.so into server: Exec format error
It looks like plug-in mod_wl_20.so wasn't’t compiled with the –lpthread library.
Do you know if we can achieve the source of the “mod_wl_20” plug-in and recompile it after that?

contact support they should be able to help you out.

  • HTTP Tunneling and Load Balancing with Weblogic Server 6.1

We use T3 for Java client to application server communication (Weblogic Server
6.1) and keep the session open for the life of the client. We many customers
using this with load balancers and all works fine. We have just started to use
BEA's HTTP tunneling and I have a question concerning how this will work with
load balancers. Since the single T3 connection has been replaced with a series
of stateless HTTP connections, does the BEA tunneling code put session information
in the HTTP header? If so, what information does it place in the header. If
it does we should be able to use that to make sure that the load balancer always
sends HTTP requests with that session to the same application server.
    Thanks!
    Rick

    Rick,
You may want to look at the Alteon and F5 configuration we have on edocs.
Take a look at the following URLs for a possible solution

i restarted weblogic server but the error was remain there, also restarted my network card but nothing would happen, then i had to restart my database but again nothing happens, then i had toi restart my entire server and the error resolves. This was happened to me many times and i had to do the same activity for resolving that issue. i deployed apex.war in it, already changed its xml file location from temp tp my d drive.
will any one help what it means ?
and how to overcome from this error

This is not a PL/SQL error. And from the sounds of it, not even an Oracle database related error.
Apex is a suite of PL/SQL software. Apex is in other words, tables, views, synonyms and stored procedure code. That is it.
For a web server to make an Oracle database call, a web server module is needed to
    a) service a URL
    b) convert the URL into a database call
    c) connect to the database and make the call
    d) read the HTP PL/SQL buffer via a 2nd database call
    e) send that HTML response buffer to the web browser client
I assume that this is what that apex.jar is suppose to do - and fails to do correctly for whatever reason. I prefer not to use Java in this way, and have used for over a decade the mod_plsql Apache web server module interface. It is reliable. It is robust. It is mature. It is easier to use IMO as this is standard Apache and not some silly convoluted XML and Java gunk.
The error "+No more data to read from socket+" is not really an error message. It simply says that a socket read was done and there was no data to read. This is not an error. Unless the reader expected data to read from the socket.
Bottom line. Unfortunately you are on the wrong side of OTN raising your problem - as your problem does not show any database side, never mind SQL or PL/SQL side, problems. The error as far the database/Apex side is concerned, is on the client (weblogic/jar) side.

  • What is the HTTP server [default/built-in] that Weblogic server uses

Is the built-in web server in weblogic Apache or is it some other http server that
    BEA owns ?

WebLogic Server is a single java process, that has two listen ports, one SSL
    and non-ssl.
These two ports use protocol discrimination to handle multiple protocols on
    a single port.
NON-SSL --> http, t3 (proprietary rmi protocol), iiop
    SSL --> https, t3s, iiops
So WebLogic comes with a build in Webserver. Or you can use a third party
webserver in front of WLS with plugin to proxy to WLS.
    See;
    http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs81/plugins/
    Cheers
