Weblogic spiking to 99% CPU resources while processing inbound JMS messages

We have an Integration Gateway server that is receiving data into a JMS queue from SAP/TIBCO and a legacy system for processing. We have Weblogic 8.1 SP3 and the server is running ClarifyCRM 12.5 Integration Gateway components including Tuxedo. In the past few weeks, Weblogic has been hanging up multiple times trying to receive this data from these systems. Specifically java.exe process used by Weblogic spikes to 99% CPU and the server becomes completely unresponsive. So far the only workaround we have is shutting down Weblogic, moving the incoming messages stored in the JM file store that are hanging the server to a different location so that they won't be processed by Weblogic and then restart Weblogic.
What we see when this happens is that the hung up messages stay in the "Messages Pending" queue.
A developer has mentioned that this may be happening because the threads handling the messages are hanging.
I want to know if there is a tool from BEA to view and edit the JMS File Store on the file system to further analyze the incoming messages.

I agree about the older version. However this particular version and service pack are the only ones that have been tested in our production and dev environments. So currently I don't have any options but to use it. However the system has been running relatively fine for the past 1-1.5 years.
Do you happen to know the name of that tool that you mentioned below?
Thanks in advance.

Hi ,
<BEA-381511> <Unexpected failure while processing an incoming message. - "This may have happened due mis-configuration of the service".
On OSB log, We are facing the above error in a clustered environment. we are using 2 managed servers and one server is right now up and running without any problem. But when we bring up the second server, the messages are not processed and we are receiving the above issue. If it is misconfiguration problem, can you please let me know the issue exactly or any possible solution to fix this issue.
Thank you.

It will now play audio cds and dvds. The computer asks me what to do with them first. The problem is still the cd i use for study. Its is an interactive cd - it is its own application - clicking on images and animations to teach vowel sounds, sentences etc.
The disc works on my other laptop, which is running in windows 7. All discs are recognised by my windows 7 and 8.1 dvd/cd player/writer, but when the title page for the interactive cd pops up on windows 8.1, the director error message pops up and the homepage shuts down with the message.
I feel like Im sure there is a package or a patch I can download to fix this issue, I just need to know what. Please help.

• How to limiting CPU resource per process

Solaris 8 OS
Sun 4800 Server
I have 4 CPU modules. There is a runaway process that consumes 25% of the CPU resources. Which is one whole CPU in my situation.
Is there a way for me to limit the CPU consumption from user processes? IE: process can't use more than 5-10% of total CPU at a given time.
There is a command 'limit'. Limit can only control the amount of CPU TIME. This is not applicable because sometimes user need to run processes which last for days.
There is a way to do this . . By buying Solaris Resource Manager. This software cost over $10,000. It will come with a lot of things that I do not need.
There's got to be a way to limit this.
I have done some extensive researching and NO lead.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking about this a bit more. I remember a while back Sun has a BATCH scheduling class available for download. Unfortunately, I can't find it anymore. Maybe Sun turned it into a for purchase product. Anyway, the comments about priority are relevant here.
Just because a process is chewing up your CPU doesn't necessarily mean its a bad thing. If the process is doing work, that shouldn't be considered a problem. If the job is impacting other jobs in the systems that are considering more important, then its a problem. Moving this application into a batch scheduling class would definately take care of this problem OR using NICE to lower the process nice value to say 19 will also work. This would make it so that other processes with higher nice values would preempt this application off the CPU. A BATCH scheduling class would do the same thing.
OR MAYBE and I don't now if this is possible and its way out in left field, maybe investigate changing the default scheduling class to IA so that all normal processes startup in the IA scheduling class and put this abusive process in the TS scheduling class. This way IA scheduling class apps will always preempt anything in the TS scheduling class. Sorta like turning your TS scheduling class into a BATCH scheduling class. Of course, using NICE is probably much more easy.

• Kick off a business process with JMS message

I'm a newbie with a job that's way over my head and I'm thouroughly confused on
the logic involved with kicking off a business process (workflow) through the
reciept of a JMS message. The docs say it can be done. I have a business process
in one project folder of an enterprise app, its start node is a channel subscription.
Can I somehow send a JMS message directly to the business process? (Send a message
NOT from within the weblogic environment, but from outside) I have created a
Message Driven bean in a seperate project folder of the same application as the
business process. From an outside client, I think I might need to invoke the
MDB with a JMS message, then call the business process from there. Is this totally
off-base? What do event generators have to do with any of this?
Please help.

Yes, you use the event generator.
Open up the Weblogic Integration console, click on Event Generators.
Add a JMS Event generator that listens to the queue you are interested
in, and then select the channel that your process has subscribed to.

Hello,
I have a inbound Idoc of type HRMD_A (basistype HRMD_A07) which is processed by Function module (FM) IDOC_INPUT_HRMD with proofing. After processing an Idoc the status Monitor for ALE messages (BD87) tell me that my Idoc has status 53, which should be the result i would like to have.
Unfortunately when i go to transaction PA20 and check the infotypes, i see that infotype 0302 isn't created. When analyzing this problem i see that during the processing the Infotypes are posted with HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA (dialog mode is 0 and luw_mode = 0 from include LRHA2F02 FORM save_pa_pb_infty) When this is done for infotype 0302 sy-subrc <> 0 the message is A complex application error has occured. Hello,
Sometimes if the Data / Right Data is not present in the IDoc, then it would not help the Standard SAP Program / Programs / Function Modules to fill-in Certain Field Symbols due to which the Short Dump might have occured.
Check the IDocs and try executing the Job again.

• Introduce delay in processing a JMS message

Hi All
Looking for clean solution to introduce a fixed time delay (n minutes) in processing messages from a MQ Queue?
The sending and receiving applications both using SOA Suite 11g JMS adapter.
regards.

Hi
Thanks a lot for the suggestion. Such "time to deliver" (i.e. delay before the message is delivered to destination) is supported by almost all other providers - Weblogic, AQ, JBoss, ActiveMQ etc, but I could not find how to set it for Websphere MQ, doubtful if it supports same. Any idea?
Also no clear documentation on if Oracle JMS Adapter supports dynamic message selector.

Thanks in Advance

I solved it,
Firs of all your domain which you are going to deploy BI Composer should extended by Oracle JRF, if you install JDev on WLS, automatically it adds those needed library.
In other hand generally any where you got this message "Unresolved application library references", manually you can find that library (sometime as .ear sometime as .war and etc.) [ you can search it in other installed domain or in internet ] , and in WLS console go to deployment and deploy it.
I hope it can be useful :)

• Error while processing message payload Element PI SXMB_MONI (ECC to TM)

Dear Experts,
while processing an XML message in TM using receiver interface IntracompanyTransportationRequestRequest_In , we encounter an error message.
<SAP:Stack>Error while processing message payload Element 'StockTransportOrderReferenceIndicator' missing</SAP:Stack>
<SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
ssee screenshot attached.
The field StockTransportOrderReferenceIndicator cannot be located in ECC and I cannot find what the system is expecting to populate here.
Can somebody propose an approach on how to investigate into this error message for the solution?
thanks a lot
Salvador

Hi Salvador,
Thanks for your reply. We were able to fix that issue. As of now we have managed to send sales order to TM but getting the following error. Messages are getting failed in SAP TM. Even if the product exists in the system (TM) still the error message persists. I have CIFed location, business partner, product from ECC and everything exists in SAP TM with the same business system group. Kindly advise. Did you happen to face any similar kind of issue during your implementation ?
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Nilanjan
Its true, we cannot delete master if there are any transactional data. For Eg:System is giving message for such cases and it will revert in such cases & will not allow us to delete.(Atleast give relevant msg in such cases)

Hi,
Vendor 100002 is not maintained in your system. Maintain the same or use some other vendor which is there in your system.
You should be able to post the document.

• Process Inbound 997: X12_00502_997.xsd

Hello,
I am developing an orchestration in BizTalk R2. This orchestration will process inbound 997 messages.
In my project I have added the existing file: X12_00502_997.xsd. Then I have created a Message Variable with the message type to that schema.
After I have added a "Receive" Shape. This shape is targeting to the Message Variable. I have also added a "construct" message to cast the inbound message to an xml variable. And finally I send out that Xml to a Windows Folder.
I am using the EdiReceive Pipeline; and I have created the corresponding parties; however when I put the following Edi in the Inbound Folder; my orchestration is never activated.
ISA*04*FA426     *00*          *02*RRDC           *02*KCS            *081024*0901*U*00502*001797871*0*P*;…
GS*FA*ISSP*KCS*20081024*0901*241273*X*005030RAIL…
ST*997*412730001…
AK1*RW*73295…
AK2*426*64974…
AK5*A…
AK9*A*1*1*1…
SE*6*412730001…
GE*1*241273…
IEA*1*001797871
I realized that the xml built by BizTalk has this structure:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<ns0:X12_997_Root xmlns:ns0="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Edi/X12">
<ns0T>
<ST01>997</ST01>
<ST02>412730001</ST02>
</ns0T>
<AK1>
<AK101>RW</AK101>
<AK102>73295</AK102>
</AK1>
I have created another EDI projects and those projects are building the xml files with these headers:
<ns0:X12_00502_998 xmlns:ns0="http://schemas.microsoft.com/BizTalk/EDI/X12/2006">
<ns0:X12_00502_864 xmlns:ns0="http://schemas.microsoft.com/BizTalk/EDI/X12/2006">
<ns0:X12_00502_426 xmlns:ns0="http://schemas.microsoft.com/BizTalk/EDI/X12/2006">
So; I really do not know why the orchestration is never activated. But I set in Filter Expresion in "Receive" Shape the following filter: BTS.MessageType = "http://schemas.microsoft.com/Edi/X12#X12_997_Root"
But the orchestration is still never activated.
The parties have unselected option: "Generate 997".
Any advice why it is happening this?
Thanks in advance,
Pablo

Thank you for your help!
You are right!!
I have been making several tests and finally I discovered when an EDI-997 interchange is received using EdiReceive Pipeline, BizTalk detects that its a functional acknowledge and it disassembles the message into XML, and drops the message XML into the MessageBox. However that Xml is dropped with the MessageType as
"http://schemas.microsoft.com/Edi/X12#X12_997_Root". I have developed others EDI projects using: X12_00502_426, X12_00502_998, X12_00502_864 and all the Xml files created by BizTalk have different MessageType.
So, my orchestration had a wrong subscription to all the messages that match to this message type =
"http://schemas.microsoft.com/BizTalk/EDI/X12/2006#X12_00502_997"
That is the reason why my orchestration is never activated.
I have already modified my orchestration to subscribe it to functional acknowledge message type and now is activated.
However I need to read the values: GS02, GS03 from Inbound Message 997. Unfortunatelly when I try to read a GS value in a shape expression like this:
System.Diagnostics.Trace.WriteLine(InboundMsg(EDI.GS02));
I am getting this exception:
Inner exception: There is no value associated with the property 'EDI.GS02' in the message.
I presume because when the orchestration is activated, the message is in xml format and those data elements are not included in the message; right?.
Do you know how can I read those data elements?
Thank you
Pablo
