Weblogic Startup ERROR w/ JCE and JDK
Hi
Iam running a WLS5.1 off Solaris 7 with JDK1.3 and JCE1.2.1 installed. When I try to start the WLS with the startWebLogic.sh I get the following error.
The WebLogic Server did not start up properly.
Exception raised: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException:java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError:java.lang.SecurityException:Cannot set up certs for trusted CAs
Does anyone know as to why this error occurs?
Thanks
You probably would like to try the following:
-make sure all the jce 1.2.1 jar files are ahead in your classpath.
-copy those 4 jar files from jce install directory to $jdk_home/jre/lib/ext.
This should solve it. There is a problem in jdk 1.2.2 and is suppose to be solved in 1.3. But again depends on what version of jdk1.3.x you are using.

CF Startup Errors: swsoc.exe and swagent.exe
I've installed CF Standard on a new box and am receiving
Windows startup errors for swagent.exe and swsoc.exe. Two of the CF
services (ODBC Server and ODBC Agent) also will not run - I believe
the two events are related.
Does anybody have any suggestions or experience with
this? Thanks. I reinstalled - no change. I applied the latest MX
updates - no change. I reset my personal firewall (McAfee) to the
default values and this time allowed all the verity programs (3 or
4) access to the Internet - low and behold, fixed.
My guess is that there is some sort of "call home to mama"
code that fails miserably if it can't. -

Thank you.Hi Srivatsa,
Have you installed OES? If so, the reason could be that the weblogic.policy file needs to be edited, as desribed in section 19.3.2.2 here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/install.1111/e12002/oes.htm

Weblogic Portal 9.2 Startup Error - Linux
Hi all, Thanks in advance for help in resolving this critical situation.
Installed is Weblogic Portal 9.2 on a Ubuntu [Debian] Linux workstation. When I create a portal environment using default Configuration Wizard settings, ./startWeblogic.sh executes and I am able to reach the cosole without problems.
As soon as I try to customize the configuration using Oracle drivers and corresponding username/password, I see an alert that reads:
<b>This domain is configured to use the SQL authenticator security provider. You must load database tables in the "Run Database Scripts" panel or load the tables manually after completing the wizard using the SQL file located at ~/bea920/user_projects/domains/pDomain/security/SQLAuthenticator.sql</b>
I click 'OK'. And 'Done'.
When I attempt to start Weblogic, it fails with the following stacktraces:

Here is what i have tried:
1. altered the username and password in boot.properties
2. deleted boot.properties and manually entered the username and password at WLS startup [as seen in the stacktrace].
3. created a default-settings portal environment that started weblogic, then used the console to chenge the settings to my customized values. Restarted the server and it failed with the same stacktraces.
Please please help. Our team has exhausted its knowledge of trouble shooting this situation. This forum is my next to last result.
Thanks again.
BartoszI too was facing this problem initially but on windows machine. This problem occurs because p13nDataSource is not configured and its still pointing to the POINTBASE data base. Point it to Oracle database and then test the connection. Once the Connection Test is sucessful go to Run Database Script. Select the correct version of Oracle i.e. 8i, 9i or 10g. Then select on DataSource from in the top left corner. Only two DataSource needs to be configured. cgDataSource-nonXA and p13nDataSource.Select these Data Source one after another and Run the scripts once this is done u can configure the WLI Domain.
This is done once configuring the WLI Domain.
I would post the corrective measure for the Domain which has been already created. If the issue is blocking u can create a new domain:-) -

FannieThat's JVM crash, which is not supposed to happen ;-) You can try to search
www.javasoft.com for answers, but it looks like Intel Solaris is not terribly
popular or supported. Did you try to run WebLogic on Linux instead ?

I do not think there are shared libs for WebLogic on Solaris/Intel.
You can try disabling native SSL by adding this to WebLogic startup
command line: -Dweblogic.security.SSL.useJava=true

How to identify the installed Weblogic Server and JDK are 32bit or 64bit?
Hi everyone,
I have a question ~
Both Weblogic Server and JAVA JDK are installed on the server already, but I only know the Weblogic Server is 10.3.4.0 and JAVA JDK version is 1.6.0_25.
I know the 64bit Weblogic Server installation file is a wlsXXXX_generic.jar package and 64bit JAVA JDK needed also.
But, since the Weblogic installed already, there are no such installation files on the Linux Server now.
I have tried the "java -version" for java version and check the Weblogic version from Weblogic console.
How to identify the installed Weblogic Server and JDK are 32bit or 64bit with Linux command? Or is there any way to check it?What you can try to do is use WLST (or an MBean browser, such as JConsole or JRockit Mission Control) and connect to the adminserver.
For example when using WLST:
# set the environment by using setWLSEnv.sh (located in the ${WL_HOME}/server/bin directory).
# start WLST by using: java weblogic.WLST
# connect to the adminserver
connect('adminusername','adminpassword');
# change to the serverruntime environment
serverRuntime();
# show the attributes
ls();
# Here an attribute is shown called WebLogicVersion that shows the version of WebLogic
-r-- WeblogicVersion WebLogic Server 10.3.5.0 Fri Apr 1 20:20:06 PDT 2011 1398638
# Note that this does not show if is 32 bits or 64 bits to retrieve this information you have obtain the JVM version
# change the directory
cd('JVMRuntime/AdminServer');
# show the attributes
ls();
-r-- Version R28.0.1-21-133393-1.6.0_20-20100512-2126-linux-x86_64
# when you have something like x86 at the you are running a 32 bit version, if you have something like x86_64 you are running a 64 bits versionAs mentioned above you can also retrieve this information by using a MBean browser. -

Using installer is ok,but I deployed it by myself, the problem came up.That's odd
I need the weblogic.xml to resovle another problem.some one can help, thanks.

WebLogic 10.3 and JDK 1.5
Is WebLogic 10.3 certified to run on JDK 1.5 ? The Support Matrix here
lists only JDK 1.6 , anyone used WL 10.3 with JDK 1.5 ?Honestly, why should I use JDK 1.5? It is end-of-life (or you pay money for additional support) and JDK 1.6 is faster...
Just my 2 cts,

My phone was doing system update. will not turn on now gives me a startup error and turns off
my phone did a system update to lollipop now it will not turn on and gives me an error message 1740 and 1790 then turns off
Oh boy! Like stef7 mentioned, I am also curious to know which device you are using so I can assist you and get the device working for you again.

I've been searching through this board and through other sources to find some answers..... I recently tried to update fusion middleware (Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.5)) on top of an existing copy we had installed due to a forms error we kept encountering. I ran the install without any issues and ran it without any "config" options.... After all was said and I done, I was able to start the adminserver services without issues, however my WLS_FORMS will no longer start and I'm not clear as to why at this point and I've pretty much wasted the last day trying to troubleshoot this.... We're running Weblogic and Forms 11g on a Windows 2008 R2 (64bit) server. Here's the output from the WLS_FORMS log... any help would be appreciated!

Edited by: 1008097 on 28.05.2013 00:12I think you should consider increasing heap size and check whether you still face the OOM. In addition to that you can consider implementing GC logging using: -verbose:gc -XX:PrintGCTimeStamps and other parameters..
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/gc-tuning-6-140523.html
You can consider implementing -XX:HeapDumpOnOutOfMemory or capture heap dump using jmap etc and check out the contents in the heap using MAT to understand the possible suspects.
https://blogs.oracle.com/alanb/entry/heap_dumps_are_back_with
The above are the basic stuff that needs to be looked into to understand the cause of this issue.
Cheers!!

ThanksHi,
it seems that you try to deploy your application but it's taking a very long time that exceeds the timeout.
Are you deploying your application from Eclipse (oepe) or from the admin console ?

Cannot run BEA WebLogic 8.1 SP 3 with JDK 1.6
Hi,
Im using BEA Weblogic 8.1 SP3 trying to run a sample where a Robot from Kapow Mashup Server is called from a WebService hosted in the server.
The thing is that I keep getting a EJB Exception: : java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/StringBuilder (I attach the full exception below). I realised that by default the server uses the JDK which comes with the software (version 1.4) and that the class java.lang.StringBuilder is only available from JDK 1.5 onwards.
I have JDK 1.6 in my system, so in WebLogic -> Tools -> Application Properties -> JDK Home, I set that folder but still same exception occurs.
Through the Configuration Wizard I create a new “Basic WebLogic Server Domain” and in the step to configure the Java SDK I set the JDK 1.6 folder. However, when I try to start that server I get this error.

Someone can give a hand on that? It seems like Bea WebLogic 8.1 and JDK 1.6 are not compatible. Completely stacked here.
Regards.

I guess client side is completely out of WLS so the jdk to be used on the client side is not set in the environment.
However, the Exception Im getting is on the server side, when it tries to run the code automatically generated from Kapow Mashup Server 6.3. That code is embedded in a jar file, but it seems it makes a call to the java.lang.StringBuilder class which as said before, it is only available from jdk 1.5 onwards.
Should I contact Kapow Mashup Server support to see how the sample code is generated or I am missing something?

Oracle 8.1.5 and JDK 1.2 Thin Driver
We are doing some prototyping with Oracle 8.1.5, BEA WebLogic
6.1, and JDK 1.3. We needed to know what is the latest version
supported by the oracle thing client drivers for that
configuration.
Or are we the only users doing this and is it mandatory that we
migrate to Oracle 8.1.7?
Thanks,

[email protected]Check out the SQLJ FAQ at:
http://technet.oracle.com/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/htdocs/faq.html
"ExceptionInInitializerError: NullPointerException"
(This is likely a general configuration issue, not something specific to your code.)
If you see the following stack trace:
unexpected error occurred... java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: java.lang.NullPointerException
at sqlj.framework.ClassFileReader.attribute_info(Compiled Code) ...
at sqlj.tools.Sqlj.statusMain(Compiled Code)
at sqlj.tools.Sqlj.main(Sqlj.java:117)
then you are likely running SQLJ version 8.1.5 or earlier under JDK 1.2.x or later.
You need to download the SQLJ 8.1.6 SDK patch, which contains a new translator.zip
version that you can use to replace the translator.zip from 8.0.5/7.3.4 or from JDeveloper 3.0.

Weblogic Server error - OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space
Dear All,
For Oracle BPM 11g (Implement the Process Model) implementation on windows
I am using windows 7 64 Bit OS. I have
Installed 10g DB
Run the RCU Utility for SOAINFRA, ORABAM, SSPDM and MDS schemas successfully.
Installed Weblogic Server 11gr1(10.3.5)
Installed Oracle Jdeveloper 11g - 11.1.1.6.0
Installed SOA 11g using \Java\jdk1.6.0_24
From Jdeveloper I installed the extensions for SOA Composite Editor and BPM studio.
Created Domain for SOA server
All installations, utitlities and configurations completed successfully.
After starting the Weblogic Admin. server (server is up and OK)
The Problem starts here
When I login to weblogic Admin console I get the following error
javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space on
the command prompt window and even on the browser window.
I am able to trace the problem. To get the Idea following are some details of

what are the recommended values I need to put for Permsize in setDomainEnv.cmd?
Do I also need to change the values in setSOADomainEnv.cmd ?
Please correct me where I am wrong. How can the OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space
issue be resolved ?
Thanks
Ajaz AhmedHi Lakshman,
Thanks for the prompt resonse.
1. How many managed servers do you have in your domain ?
I have only one managed server (soa_server1)
2. If yes, How you are starting the Managed server ? Is that by Nodemanager or Startscript ?
Yes. I start the managed server by startscript (using startmanagedweblogic)
3. Can you check the <managed_server1>.out log file what java heap size is mentioned ?
I have not reached the managed server startup (though it starts and gives
the last line as SOA platform is accepting and running the requiests.
My problem is with weblogic server, which after login I get the Permgen out of memory error.
4. Can you show us the start up arguements of your each managed server ?
AdminConsole-->Environments---.Servers--->YourManagedServer--->Configuration (TAB)--->ServerStart (SubTab)---> Arguments:(TextArea)
I am not able to get the console. Because when I login the weblogic console,
Immediately I get the error as
javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space
Please clear my doubt as which of the files
setDomainEnv.cmd or setSOADomainEnv.cmd, I should change the values and
into which file and which step.
My priority is weblogic console to be working without any errors. So Far Managed server is OK.
Thanks
Ajaz Ahmed
