Weblogic8.1 SP4 support JSTL

i want to that weblogic8.1 is compatible with jsp2.0 feature like EL [Expression Language] and Filter
Regds
Amit Verma

To the question in your title: Yes, but only JSTL 1.0
To the question in your post: No weblogic 8.1sp4 is not JSP 2.0
But since EL works in JSTL 1.0 too you can use EL in all JSTL 1.0 tags
You also can use ExpressionEvaluatorManager to incorparate EL in your own custom tags.

    Hi, Rohidas
Here is the supported database configurations
    http://e-docs.bea.com/platform/suppconfigs/configs81/81_over/supported_db.html#1143800
Anyway, If you use a database product not listed in the supported
configurations page, you must take carefully test.

  • WebLogic 8.1 SP4 support for 10g R2

    Hi,
We are looking to upgrade Oracle Server 8i to the latest version ie. 10g R2. We are running Weblogic 8.1 SP4. On BEA's site the product documentation doesn't specify the 10g R2 support, instead only list support for 9.2.0 and later versions for SP4. Has anyone tried running WL 8.1 SP4 with Oracle 10g R2. We are not looking to upgrade to RAC version of this.
    Thanks.

This is targeted by coming June.

  • BPC 7.5 SP4 Support for Windows 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2

The release notes for BPC 7.5M SP04 state that support has been added for both Windows 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2.
For SQL 2008 R2, there is nothing in the feature pack described as "SQL 2005 Backward Compatibility Components" - which was a required piece for  BPC 7/7.5 on SQL 2008. Is the SQL 2008 version still a requirement, or does BPC 7.5 now not need the Backward Compatibility components?
Also, the ReprotViewer executable that is packaged with BPC 7.5 is the one for SQL 2008- will that work when installing SQL 2008 R2?

  • What's the oldest version of Tomcat that supports JSTL?

I'm stuck with Tomcat 3.3 for this project I'm working on. Is there any version of JSTL that can be made to work with this dinosaur?

Did you try what is suggested in the readme file?
    COMPATIBILITY
The 1.0 version of the Standard Taglib has been tested under Tomcat 4.0.4
and should work in any compliant JSP 1.2 container.  To use this
distribution on earlier versions of Tomcat (such as 4.0.3), however, you
may need to work around a container bug that prevents JAXP 1.2 classes
    from loading successfully.
To do this, you should to replace the JAXP 1.2 JAR files included with
this distribution (in the 'lib' directory) with older XML-related JAR
files. To obtain these older, unsupported libraries, you can download the
    file named
         jakarta-taglibs-standard-oldxml-compat.tar.gz
    or
         jakarta-taglibs-standard-oldxml-compat.zip
from the same directory from which you downloaded this distribution
    (http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/jakarta-taglibs/releases/standard/).
Once you have obtained these files, install them (crimson.jar and
xalan.jar) into your WEB-INF/lib directory in place of the following files
    from this distribution:  jaxp-api.jar, dom.jar, sax.jar, xercesImpl.jar,
    and the newer xalan.jar.
Note that upgrading to Tomcat 4.0.4 is recommended and that we provide
these older libraries as a temporary convenience for those who have not
    yet upgraded.Good luck,
    evnafets

  • Why JSTL EL support is missing in most tag attributes?

It looks like only modelReference is able to accept a JSTL expression such as ${optionServer.someProperty}. All the tags in html_basic.tld do not evaluate expressions in attributes. Without JSTL EL, it is quite painful to adopt JSF now.
What is the rationale behind not supporting JSTL EL in EA3? Will the support be added in future releases?

In your TLD (html_basic.tld) try changing the tag:
    <rtexprvalue>false</rtexprvalue>
    to:
    <rtexprvalue>true</rtexprvalue>
    that seems to work sometimes.
    Good luck.

I did not find it on the component palette.

  • Env-entry in web.xml and 6.0 sp4

Does anyone know if iws 6.0 sp4 supports env-entry elements in web.xml???
According to servlet specs 2.2 it should support it since it has JSP support.
    From 2.3 specs:
"The following addtional elements exist in the web application deployment
descriptor to meet the requirements of web containers that are JSP enabled or part
of a J2EE application server. They are not required to be supported by containers
wishing to support only the servlet specification.:
     taglib
syntax for looking up JNDI objects (env-entry, ejb-ref, ejb-local-ref, resourceref,
    resource-env-ref)
See the DTD comments for further description of these elements."

Additional info...actually the code throws a NamingException.

  • Java.lang.StackOverflowError in WLS 8.1 SP4

    Hi..
We are using Weblogic8.1 SP4(j2sdk1.4.2_13) for PeopleSoft application.
Whilst we were on a Performance testing phase of one Peoplesoft component, we encounted java.lang.StackOverflowError error.
We get this error often after severe phases of out testing. The JVM doesn't seem to release memory after each run of our program. JVM runs with (Min32, Max 512M) on Windows 2000 server.
It consistently grows and grows and after it has reached (say 300M)...it fails with java.lang.StackOverflowError
    error.
Additionaly do we need to specify 'Xss' param for stack ?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Maddy.

Use Xss to specify stack size, make your Min same as Max.

We need to publish Exchange 2013 through UAG 2010. But we are not getting any dedicated link for UAG 2010 to publish Exchange 2013. we have UAG 2010 with SP4.
Is there any Step by step UAG 2010 configuration link to publish Exchange 2013?

    Hi Jitender,
Based on my knowledge, publishing Exchange 2013 with UAG 2010 is similar with publishing Exchange 2010.

  • JSTL with JBuilder

anyone knows how to use the JSTL library with JBuillder?
    thank you.

Create your project and add a suitable jstl-implementation library (lika jakartas) along with your project other libraries.
But JBuilder offers no extra support JSTL - no context sensitive help or debugging possibilities. Standard functions like templates is well suited to help you in codeing JSTL.
Running inside JBuilder or from separate browser works like it does for servlets and JSP.
This is based on JBuilder 7 - with Tomcat 4.0 webbserver selected -experience.
