Webmail Problems

We have transfered the Directory- and Messagingserver from a Linux Server to an Sun Ultra. We have installed a new Version on the sun. Both Systems work with Version 4.15 of the Messaging Server. The name was changed from mail to mail01. After installation we have imported the LDIF File from the Linux Version. Before we import the LDIF-File we have changed the name (mail-> mail01) manually. After importing we have made a reconstruct. All works fine, but if you now add a new user, the user is not able to login to the Webmailer, also the existing user couldn't thange any attributes. The error message is "can't change attributes". Imap and pop works fine. Has someone an idea????

This issue may be internal, you may need to contact the FSC (Fiber Solutions Center) and advise the agent to contact the OSC department or e-Center. Good luck!

  • ICloud webmail problem.

    Hello,
Having some trouble staying logged into iCloud webmail as of 3:30pm ET Tuesday 06/17/14.
Every time I sign in it signs me out only seconds after logging on. This is happening on my 2013 iMac 27. I'm logging in through my Chrome browser.
Anyone have an idea what the problem could be? Also, on a sidenote my Mail app will not connect my iCloud account. That's actually been since 05/27/14. I haven't changed a thing on my end - password, account settings etc.
Thanks in advance for any help!
    - Brent

Try using Safari and see if you can stay logged in.
Most likely you need to re-enter your passwords in Mail.
In Mail, under Window in the Menu bar select Connection Doctor. Do you see a green or red light by iCloud?
A red light indicates you need to check your settings.
If your password is missing, you need to add.
Under the advanced tab make sure Apple Token is selected.
Click out of the account to save.
Check Connection Doctor to see if you have the green light now.
If no, I would remove the account and Apple setup the account again.
    Run Keychain First Aid
Open Keychain Access, located in Applications/Utilities
Choose Keychain Access > Keychain First Aid.
Enter your user name and password.
    Select Repair and click Start.
If any problems are found run again to verify all repaired.

    Hi,
Try increasing the logging at the Messaging Server level:
    ./configutil -o logfile.http.loglevel -v Debug
    ./configutil -o local.domainmap.debuglevel -v 3
./stop-msg http;./start-msg httpRetest the Convergence init-config and see whether there is any additional debug data in the Messaging Server http log that points at the root cause of the problem.I increased the logging level and here is the log

  • Webmail problem. Logs on to talktalk OK, but I cannot access the messages in the inbox.

I use www.talktalk.co.uk/mail as my email account. I have 2 computers. One runs Windows XP and Firefox 3.6.18 - and that one works just fine with talktalk webmail. The other machine runs Windows Vista and until the past couple of days used Firefox 3.6.18. Within the past couple of days I have changed to Firefox 5 on this machine and now, although it still connects to www.talktalk.co.uk/mail just fine, I now get a message "You have undefined new mails in your inbox". I cannot access the inbox, and the Contacts list appears empty (or I cannot access it). This has only happened since I went up toFirefox 5. However, using the same machine (Vista) but using Internet Explorer as the browser, all works perfectly with talktalk webmail. this leads me to think that it is nothing to do with talktalk, but is something that has happened as a result of my going to Firefox 5. I am not very knowledgeable about the workings of computer software, so if you are willing and able to help me, please keep it simple and detailed. I need my hand holding!!
    Regards, Geoff

Yep, exactly the same problem only on W2K SP4. Firefox5 doesn't work but IE (on the same machine) does.
Sorry, I'm not sure what version version of IE is being used.
(It's the PC at work that has the problem and I'm writing this at home on my linux box which has Firefox version 3.6.18 for linux mint - which also works fine.)
I really hope this can be fixed soon.
    Andy.

  • BT Yahoo Webmail Problems since latest redesign

    Hi
My wife and I both use the BT Yahoo webmail to check our emails. Since the latest redesign we've experienced some issues with the functionality of the service.
In particular, when we log into the Inbox initially everything is fine. We can check emails, send emails and move between folders etc. After a while however moving between folders (e.g. Inbox to Spam) or moving between pages of the Inbox becomes unresponsive. Refreshing the Inbox also becomes unresponsive.
The only fix, which is only temporary, is to log out and back in again. The service will work OK for a while before showing the same problems.
Does anyone know why this is happening? It seems to occur on different computers and on different browsers.

Its just the way webmail is, it can be very slow and can lock up. Its better to use an e-mail program to access your mail, then you can move stuff around very quickly between folders, and even between different accounts.

  • IMS 5.2p2 migration webmail problem

    Hello all,
I recently migrated to iMS52p2 from a 4.x messaging server. All is working well, except for webmail. I can log into webmail with no problems, but get the following in the http log after login:
[23/Nov/2004:12:19:15 -0500] mail httpd[9645]: Account Notice: SASL [10.1.4.53] Access to this service denied to domain for [email protected] from this address

The auth into webmail works and I can compose a message; however, the send fails with the error not authorized for this service. Obviously related to the errors above.
    Anish

If you can log into webmai and imap, then Messaging can indeed communicate with ldap. That's not likely the issue.
Have you looked at any of the log files? LDAP access log? Messaging Server logs?
I always start out looking at logs.
Have you set your imta/mappings file to reflect your internal ip addresses, or left it at default?
Have you configured Direct LDAP, or are you using the old Dirsync? If using dirsync, please do examine Appendix B of the Admin Guide, and configure Direct LDAP. That is the recommended thing to do.

  • Webmail problems with osx mavericks

    hi,
since upgrading to mavericks i have problems using my work microsoft webmail on both safari and chrome – on chrome the pop-up window to add attachments no longer works; on safari it barely works (i have to open the attachment pop up twice before i can upload an attachment), where it also keeps crashing. outlook webmail light is not an option...i just want to get my outlook webmail to how it was before with mountain lion!
    please can anyone assist?

We've been expereincing a similar thing:
first attempt brings up a standard looking OS X file choosing dialog box which does nothing after you pick a file
the 2nd attempt brings up the expected OWA attachment chooser dialog box and we can then attach normally
We've told our users to switch to Firefox/Chrome (or enjoy attaching things twice).
    Have you seen any solutions?

No problems here. When are you going to set up an email client and save your self all the grief you have with webmail.
Ha-ha!! That made me smile! I forgot to mention that every time it happened I lost my email - it didn't even save a copy.
I have got to set up my new desktop - finding the time has been the problem but it's now a priority as I'm wasting so much time using my XP/IE8. I'm thinking of going with MS Live mail. That's not classed as webmail is it?

  • Cannot read emails signing in via Verizon Webmail, using Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail works.

I've been experiencing a problem viewing emails online on my Laptop Sony Windows 7 and on a desktop XP Professional we own.  I can login to my account(s) individually online, but the email area is blank and trying to look at the Email & More fails to display anything.
I have reloaded Java, Adobe Flash & Reader. w/o results.  I am not experiencing problems with anything else.
I have tried on SEVERAL occasions to call in for Verizon Tech  Support , but have given up each time after spending from 1 to 3 hours holding for someone to pick up.  It doesn't seem to matter time of day on the calls.
Ideas or help would really be appreciated.

Look at other threads.  Verizon knows it has a Webmail problem and is working on it.  As you said there is no email problem as email clients work.
This doesn't belong in this thread or forum.

  • Can't install Safari 1.3.1 Update. I have 10.3.9 installed.

I can thank recent Earthlink Webmail Problems for this request for help.
I installed 10.3.9 on my iMac G4 many months ago (software disc downloaded by my Mac store since I am stuck with dial-up service). A check of the Safari version indicates I have 1.2.3. I can't check Webmail using Safari for almost a week and use IE which is "ghostly" but works. Earthlink folks say I have to have at least Safari 1.2 (Well, forget that-I have it.) So, I checked for updates and downloaded Safari 1.3.1. When I tried to install it, the screen told me I couldn't install the update because 10.3.9 was required. What is up with that? I have it. So, I trashed the download and am limping along with Safari 1.2.3. I am puzzled. I know Tiger is great but for what I do on my computer, Panther has worked fine. I like Safari for a variety of reasons. At the moment I can't really say the same for Earthlink and the Webmail glitch. Any and all recommendations welcome.

    Hi Helen,
Try re-applying the 10.3.9 combo update over your current installation and then retrying the Safari updates. This will also overwrite the change made by any subsequent Security Updates so make sure to re-apply those too.

  • What is your email address so I can email you my problem. It will not go thru in Firefox. I am using IE to contact you to explain a problem with my HughesNet webmail not opening. Please respond so I can send an email to you thru IE. Thank you M Barry

I use Mozilla Firefox almost exclusively. Yesterday morning I logged onto my HughesNet WebMail as usual and it downloaded, I could move items to inbox folders but I could not open any mail. Not in the inbox, the sent box, spam or trash. I do not use any other auxiliary mail box...just my webmail.
I tried periodically during the day yesterday and nothing happened...could not open anything.
I went over to IE and it opened everything fine.
I notified HughesNet of the problem and they replied that I should report it to you as the problem is probably on your side.
    Appreciate your reply and fix.
    Thank you ...Mary Barry

I tried to report this on the hughes site on your trouble page and it never went thru.

It is hardly Apple's fault that Epson can't/won't update their driver, but at least Epson suggest that you use the Gutenprint driver, which in any case is far better that what Epson offer.

  • Problems creating a new folder when using webmail

Hi, has anyone else out there encountered problems when trying to create a new folder when using webmail ?
It just seems to create a new folder called 'New Folder' and misses out the step that would normally allow you to rename it to a title of your choice.
A whole list of folders called 'New Folder' is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.
It did used to work as I've used it many times in the past.....but then so did a lot of things before the 'new' and 'improved' version of BT Mail came along.
Any help or suggestions gratefully received (apart from the obvious solution, switch to a mail client).
Maybe it needs flagging to the 'techies'......they must be really busy trying to sort out all the so called teething problems.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

What should happen is that when you click on the + for add a new folder a box should appear, somewhere amongst the folder list. (The list is in alphabetical order so if you have a number of folders previous to the letter N it maybe out of view ) .
The box will have the text " New folder-X," ( see below for the explantion for the -X ) you then delete the text, type in the name you want, hit enter and there it is.
If you don't notice the box, possibly because it's off screen further down the list, you then open and close the list, or log out the next time you view the list it, or they, are simply named New folder.
So you now have umpteen " New folders ", here's how to rename them.
Place your cursor on the word New Folder in your folder list, you will see a little box appear with" New folder-X,"  x being the number of the new folders you have created., eg -0, -1, -2 etc.
Then double click on it, you should then get a larger box with New folder-X.
Delete the text in the box, type in the name you want for the new folder, hit enter there's you newly named folder.

  • Problem with Business Catalyst Webmail

    Hello,
I built a website for a client, using Adobe Muse, that is hosted by Business Catalyst. On the website's Contact Us page I placed an Adobe Muse 'Simple Contact ' widget/form with three (3) fields: Name, Email, and Message. The form worked as intended until the end of December 2014. Since then, the information in the 'Email' field is being changed.
The site has four different email accounts through Business Catalyst. For the sake of discussion lets call them:
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]
The Messages from the Muse Simple Contact form are sent to [email protected].  When the emails are viewed in Business Catalyst's 'Webmail' the email address that was entered into the Simple Contact forms's 'Email' field doesn't show up in the 'From' field as it always has. Instead the 'From' field shows that the email was sent from [email protected] regardless of what was entered, by the sender, in the 'Email' field of the Simple Contact form. It make no difference what email provider's address is entered in the field - @AOL, @Yahoo, @Roadrunner, @Hotmail, @Gmail, etc. - they are all changed to [email protected]
Likewise, when the client tries to reply to the customer's inquiry the 'To' field is populated with Mail-4@website not the email address the sender entered into the 'Email' field on the Muse Simple Contact form.
If I changed the Muse Simple Contact form so that the mail is directed to either [email protected] or [email protected] the problem exists on those accounts as well.
I'm not sure where the problem lies, so I am making inquiries both here and in the Adobe Muse forum - even though I'm almost certain the problem is with BC's 'Webmail' client.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it?
This is making it overly difficult for the client to respond to their customer's needs. I'm really up against a wall on this and have an angry client that is ready to walkaway from Muse and Business Catalyst

Can i just check with you that this is correct?
    Thanks

  • Problem with opening of PDF in my webmail application

I have a problem with opening a pdf file in my webmail application of my internet provider in apple safari since yesterday. When I wanted to open up a pdf file I got a pop up message to allow a connection between adobe and the webmail application which I did. Since then I can not open up a pdf file. If I go to another browser or if I use email from another internet provider I use too it works and I can open up. It seems to be a blockage of the specific combination of this webmail application and safari.
    What can I do ?

    Hi,
    I have same requirement.
I need to cnvert smartform->pdf->send mail.
The mail is send but the attachment is corrupted.
