WebService : error to retrieve big result gzip encoded

Hi, I have a strange error with Results from Webservice SOAP
when data is encoded in gzip or deflate mode.
I have a webservice that return in non encoded mode a
resultset of 95542 Bytes.
The same resultset compressed in gzip is 8251 Bytes.
No problem if there is no encoding between server and Flash
Player (9,0,47 and 9,0,115 used)
If Accept-Encoding header is set to gzip, deflate, then
server send resultset encoded.
Browser receive this resultset (trace with WireShark), but
Flash Player don't load the result and the WebService go to timeout
If I limit the data returned for this webservice by limiting
number of rows returned, Flash is able to handle the result. For
example : uncompressed data of 84070 Bytes give an encoded
resultset of 7506 Bytes and theses data are well handled by flash
player.
I don't understand where is the problem.
Does flash player have gzip decompression limitation ?
Please help
Thanks

  • ODBC error occurred while executing SQLExtendedFetch to retrieve the result

    Good morning everyone,
    I had the following error message while trying to run a simple query in Answers with 3 dimensional columns, 1 fact, and 4 calculated facts...
    "State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 16001] ODBC error state: S1001 code: 0 message: [Oracle][ODBC]Memory allocation error.. [nQSError: 16011] ODBC error occurred while executing SQLExtendedFetch to retrieve the results of a SQL statement. (HY000)
    It's taking around 2,5 minutes to run, then it give that error message.
    Has anyone got any ideas on where I should get started?
    Update: after 2nd time - it's running fine....I've added a filter...could this be the issue? Too many rows initially?

    Damon,
    you were correct - it was indeed an ODBC issue. Switching to OCI has fixed the issue. This link was also very helpful:
    regarding performance
    In my case, the problem with OCI happened because I was using System DSN name instead of how it's called in tnsnames.

  • Message "Error in connection:No result set, result attempts = 100" on VC

    Hi,
    I am using a JDBC datasource to retrieve, update, insert and delete information from a SQL Server database using executing store procedures from VC.
    The selection of the data is perfect but for the deletion, insert or update of any data using store procedures I always get the following message:
    "Error in connection:No result set, result attempts = 100"
    At the end the information is modified in the database but I get error.
    Here is an example of one of my store procedure:
    CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[DelData]
         @id uniqueidentifier
         -- Add the parameters for the stored procedure here
    AS
    BEGIN
         -- SET NOCOUNT ON added to prevent extra result sets from
         -- interfering with SELECT statements.
         SET NOCOUNT ON;
        -- Insert statements for procedure here
         delete from data
           WHERE Rowid=@id;
    END
    Let me know if somebody knows the reason of this and if there is something that I am doing wrong.
    Thanks,
    Zareh

    Hi,
    when you SELECT data, you get a result. So your connection gets a result set. When you DELETE, INSERT,... you have no result, because you didn't select data. So your connection can't get any result sets.

    Hi,
    did you provide your credential during the Adobe installation process (as far as I know, you have to install the Adobe Document and not only deploy these).
    You have to provide the credential and enter a password during the process, or it does not work.
    The last info I have is that you get credentials by entering a customer request at SAP, component BC-SRV-FP, but that might have changed...

    We are getting the below errors when retrieving from huge smart view sheets for couple of our applications. We have increased the time out settings from the local registry, server registry, mod_wl_ohs file, Web logic console, http.conf, Essbase.properties. Also, increased the JVM from opmn.xml & setCustomParamsAnalyticProviderServices.bat. However we still face the error.

This behaviour is not stable since sometimes the page works fine, sometimes not, but it's not clear what it depends on. Can anybody please let me know if this behaviour is a known bug.

    Hi Deb,
    Could you please explain me in more detail?
    The problem is we are able to see the old reports that we were already moved into Q environment. The newly moved 5 reports are giving this error message.
    Please help
    Thanks
    Sri

    If you posted the whole WSDL file, it would be more helpful.
    I suppose your WSDL uses rpc/encoding. Both operations in your WSDL expects only one parameter of xsd:float. Well your client code passed an array float(new Object[] {new Float(3)}).
    This should have caused the exception.

  • Retrieve Query Results in Javascript

    Hi,
    I've created a SQL query template with Param.1.  I've created and iCommand for it.  I've also created an Applet consisting of the SQL Query and iCommand template.
    I am trying to retrieve query results after setting the parameter.  I am getting errors (undefined of course) when using the getValue() method.
    1. var commandObject = document.AppName.queryobject;
    2. commandObject.setParam(1, var1).  var1 = 'Training'
    3  applet refresh
    4.  var var2 = commandObject.getValue(1,1) ==> crashes.
    5.  alert (var2);
    This seems pretty straight forward.  Any ideas?
    Thanks

    kelly
    Just missing one javascript code <b>iCommand.executeCommand();</b>
    1. document.AppName.getqueryobject().setParam(1, var1) ;
    2. document.AppName.executeCommand();
    3. var var2 = document.AppName.getValueByName(String ColName, 1);
    5. alert (var2);

  • Problem in retrieving search result

    Hi Experts,
    I wrote Java Application for Search Using Index Management APIs.
    I am not getting any result.
    Just look at my code
    <b>i have taken some Variable String x="" to test my code</b>
    IIndexService indexService =
          (IIndexService)ResourceFactory.getInstance().getServiceFactory().getService("IndexmanagementService");
          <b> x=x+ "1"+ indexService.getID();</b>
           IFederatedSearch federatedSearch =
      (IFederatedSearch)indexService.getObjectInstance("federatedSearchInstance");
    //  get list of all active indexes
    //alternatively use the indexService to get indexes by index ID and add them to a list
          List listuser=indexService.getActiveIndexes();
          <b>x=x+ "  2  " + listuser.size();</b>
    //  build IQueryEntryList
          SearchQueryListBuilder sqb = new SearchQueryListBuilder();
      sqb.setSearchTerm(query);
      IQueryEntryList qel = sqb.buildSearchQueryList();
      <b> x=x+ "  3  " + qel.size();</b>
    //search
      ISearchSession  session = federatedSearch.searchWithSession(qel, listuser,resourseContext);
          <b> x= x + "  4  " + session.getTotalNumberResultKeys();</b>
          //get the Results
      ISearchResultList results = session.getSearchResults(1,session.getTotalNumberResultKeys());
       ISearchResultListIterator iter = results.listIterator();
          <b> x= x " 5  " results.size();</b>
               while (iter.hasNext())
             ISearchResult result = iter.next();
         IResource resource = result.getResource();
           IURLGeneratorService url =
          (IURLGeneratorService)ResourceFactory.getInstance     ().getServiceFactory().getService(IServiceTypesConst.URLGENERATOR_SERVICE);
            uri=uri + url.getResourcePageUri(PathKey.CONTENT_ACCESS_PATH,resource.getAccessRID(),null).toString();
              <b> x=x+"  6  ";</b>
              <b> x=x+ "  7  "+uri.length();</b>}
    return x;
    The output what i am getting is....
    For this line <b> session.getTotalNumberResultKeys(); </b> i am getting output as 1 (one).
    Means there is one result.
    I am retrieving the results and storing it in 'results' list object
    like this
    ISearchResultList results = session.getSearchResults(1,session.getTotalNumberResultKeys());
    When i say results.size() i am getting 0 as output.
    What is this strange behaviour....?
    Total results are 1(one)
    When i try to retrieve them it says 0(zero) results.
    When i perform normal search in protal there also i am getting only one result(when i search * as a search query).
    the same i am doing it here.But  i am not able to retrieve the result.
    To test this application , i am converting this java Class into Webservice and deploying it in searver.
    The reason why i am converting it into webservice is , it will be used other portal i.e Sharepoint Portal.(They will call this webservice in their code)
    Why is it happening so.
    Any one has ideas , where it is going wrong.
    Regards
    Bala

    HI Udit,
    Yes i got the answer to it.
    In my case the prblem was with the user credentilas.
    When i run the same application from WebDynpro, it was working fine, meanse result list and result keys was same.
    But when i run it as java application, i had the problem which you had.
    So what i did is, I have checked which user it is taking in WebDynpro and which user it is taking in my java Application. Surprisingly it was different.
    So tried with the same user, which it is taking in WebDynpro.
    generally by default it takes <b>Guest</b>  user in WebDynpro.
    So first try this application from webdynpro, if it works fine there.
    Take the same user name and pass it from your java application.
    It is the problem with user name only.
    any way i am sending you my code , have look at it.

  • CE-500 skip gzip encoding (HTTP1.1 request)

    When an http request with gzip encoding is send throught a cache
    engine (transparent mode WCCPV2), the request,loose the gzip encoding ?
    is there any known problem with compressed data when using CE-500 (transparent mode) !

    The cache ACNS releases 4.x, 5.x absolutely do support gzip encoded content. However the CE 505 will not run any recent ACNS code, only older cache engine (CE 1.x, 2.x) code, which only provided real support for http 1.0 and this did not permit encoding of content. The result was that CE 1.x and 2.x removed the accept-encoding header from the request as it passed through.
    A bug was opened to add this feature some time ago, but well after CE code was being developed, having moved on to ACNS, so the bug was never actioned. The number is CSCed38945.
    This code is long past the final support date now, so no new features or fixes will be available.

  • How do you use BOBJ SDK to retrieve the results of a query in XML

    I am trying to programatically get the results of a query given the query id
    My old code used BusinessObjects Enterprise Web Services API to  Retrieve a document's contents
    DocumentInformation biDocInfo;
    RetrieveData retBOData = RetrieveData.Factory.newInstance();
    Action[] actions = new Action[1];
    retBOData.setRetrieveView(xmlView);
    biDocInfo = rEngine.getDocumentInformation(queryId, null, actions, null, retBOData);
    (XMLView) biDocInfo.getView();
    Is there an equivalent way to retrieve the results of the query using SAP BusinessObjects BI 3.x Developer SDK Library ?
    Thanks for any information

    Hello.
    Are you wanting to use the BusinessObjects Enterprise SDK along with the Report Engine SDK as opposed to using the Web Services SDK that you were using previously?
    Also, what part of a webi document are you trying to get the XML format of?
    - Whole document
    - Single report within a document
    - Report page of a report
    - Report part within a report
    - All data providers
    - Single data provider
    If you are trying to use Business Objects Enterprise along with the Report Engine SDK, there are numerous samples for the various parts of the webi document that I mentioned above available at the following link:
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/JavaReportEngineSDKSamples
    I hope that this information helps.
    Regards.

    Have you installed a credential file to your ADSServer?
    This is required to apply the usageRights onto the PDF.
    You need to install the ReaderRights credential file. Follow the steps from this URL:
    Re: Interactive form application error
    Make sure that the password and the expiry date of the ReaderRights credential file are valid.
    Hope this helps.
