  • Errors generating client stubs for web services

    Hello,
    We are having issues trying to generate client stubs from the Unifier wsdl document (mainservice.wsdl). I see this was generated using Axis 1.4 (2006). I normally use Apache CXF but it complains due to the use of RPC/encoding. I tried Axis2 but it complains about "SchemaCompilationException: can not find type {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/}Array from the parent schema". I am wondering if we need to use Axis 1.4?
    If you have successfully generated client stubs from the wsdl documents please let me know which method was successful for you.
    We have Unifier R9.12 installed.
    Thank you
    Rudy

    I found more notes on what I had to do:
    - the process above created package names like java.oracle_e1_bssv_jp010000
    - we need to rename these to be proper package names.
    - refresh the eclipse project so you see these folders
    - select the package, right click, refactor, rename
    - rename these to be like oracle.e1.bssv.jp010000 (remove the java. and replace _ with .)
    - there will probably be a bunch of errors in individual java files you will need to fix.
    - they are very easy, it should be a matter of just deleting the imports, these are not needed because they are in the same package.

    You can add FOR TEST your pi userid & passw into enpoint url, like follow:
    &sap-user=<userid>&sap-password=<passw>
    Example:
    http://sapi.sap.com:50xxx/sap/xi/.....&sap-user=donald&sap-password=duck
    ps. Create a Service User into PI System for this. Regarding Role, i'm not a security guru, but i think that SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_PI_CFG_SRV or SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN roles can be enough for this purpose.

    Hi!
    Thanks for the help:
    - I give all proxy details. In HTTP and HTTPS proxy tabs too.
    one interesting thing:
    - We publicate the same WebService with HTTP and HTTPS prefix.
    - If I create a proxy for the WS with HTTP, everything is correct and works well.
    - If I create a proxy for the WS with HTTPS, gives the error written the previous posts. (And can't create the logical port with SOAMANAGER)
    I compare the 2 WSDL. It is the same, except the links. (HTTP and HTTPS) all others are same.
    - And why it is possible in both case (HTTP, HTTPS) to create the proxy with SE80 from the WSDL URL? (And after the logical port was failed)

    You didn't mention what error(s) you've encountered? A workaround for the most commonly hit problem is here Re: error in Muse : Object UID:U6875 has two (or more) owners: U3633 and U3165
    If you have a copy of your .muse file that has not been saved using 2014.3, you can downgrade by uninstalling Muse and then choose Previous Version in the Filters drop down in the Apps panel of the Creative Cloud desktop app. There will be a popup next to Muse where you can select a prior version to install.

    The best option is to write a portable Java EE Application Client component and let the Application Client container bootstrap the naming service so your code doesn't have to. If you prefer to write a non-portable stand-alone java client, we have instructions for how to do that here :

    It looks like wscompile (v1.1.3) works with Soap 1.1 WSDL only.
    When using wsimport instead all seems to work fine provided we change from rpc/encoded to document/literal.
    I guess that's the way to go...for Soap 1.2

  • Problem while Consuming Java Webservice from WCF client

    Hi,
    I am trying to Consume Java Webservice from WCF client.The webservice main functionality is digital data management.The client can Query Digital data and upload digital data by calling webservice methods.Problem is when i am trying to call webmethod from WCF client its giving "Unrecognised message versions".I have no idea about how the message objects are processed at serverside.but at server side they have used JAXP for XML document parsing.
    The response content type is Multipart/related and applicatio/XOP+XML.
    Can u plz help me how to handle this situation.I have minimum knowledge in Java WS architecture.Basically i am .Net programmer.
    Can U please guide me in a proper way to resolve the problem.

    Hi Abinash,
    I have the same problem. Have you solve that problem?
    I am using a java program to call a webservice too. And I have generated the client proxy definition for Stand alone proxy using NWDS. When I call the method of the webservice I am getting the correct result but along with the result I am getting one error and one warning message in the output.
    The java code to call the webservice is as follows.
    MIDadosPessoaisSyncService service = new MIDadosPessoaisSyncServiceImpl();
    MIDadosPessoaisSync port = service.getLogicalPort("MIDadosPessoaisSyncPort");
    port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.username","xpto");
    port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.password","xpto");
    String out = port.MIDadosPessoaisSync("xpto", "xpto");
    System.out.println(out);
    The result I am getting is :
    Warning ! Protocol Implementation [com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.wsdl2java.features.builtin.MessageIdProtocol] could not be loaded (NoClassDefFoundError) !
    Error Message is :com/sap/guid/GUIDGeneratorFactory
    <b>The result of the WS is correct!!!</b>
    The Java project does not have any warning. But the stand alone proxy project has following warnings associated with it.
    This method has a constructor name     MIDadosPessoaisSync.java
    The import javax.xml.rpc.holders is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
    The import javax.xml.rpc.encoding is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
    The constructor BaseRuntimeException(ResourceAccessor, String, Throwable) is deprecated     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
    It is very similar with your problem, could you help me?
    Thanks

  • Need help !!! Regarding invoking Webservices with Basic Auth

    I have a partner who requires me to pass credentials in order to invoke their Webservice.
    I have created a Partner link using a local WSDL (copy of the original partner's WSDL) and assigned the following properties
    <property name="HTTPbasicHeaders">credentials</property>
    <property name="basicUsername">hilal.khan</property>
    <property name="basicPassword">welcome123</property>
    And invoked this partnerlink in a Synchronous BPEL process, the invocation fails with the following error message
    <remoteFault xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension"><part name="summary"><summary>exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 401 Unauthorized</summary>
    </part></remoteFault>
    Looks like I am missing the way in which these credentials should be sent, I know for sure that the values being sent are correct - I tried to open the WSDL from a browser and it prompted me with a username/password window and I entered the same credentials and it then took me to the WSDL. Can one of you please help me figure out the issue and resolve it.

    Hi,
    In BPEL.xml file that is built for bpel pass the binding with the httpUsername and httpPassword which you can make anything.
    <partnerLinkBinding name="PartnerLink_SPTel_Register">
    <property name="wsdlLocation">RegisterServiceRef.wsdl</property>
    <property name="httpUsername">dummy</property>
    <property name="httpPassword">dummy</property>
    </partnerLinkBinding>
    and in the BPEL process change the value of httpUsername and httpPassword dynamically to whatever you want.
    <copy>
    <from variable="httpUsername"/>
    <to partnerLink="EventService_Partner" bpelx:property="httpUsername"/>
    </copy>
    <copy>
    <from variable="httpPassword"/>
    <to partnerLink="EventService_Partner" bpelx:property="httpPassword"/>
    </copy>
    This works great if you have to pass different credentials to the same WS depending on who accesses the bpel process.
    hope this helps

  • Problem making modified WCF web service operation compatible with old client

    Hi,
    I am trying to make a modified version of a a WCF web service work with old clients. The method signature looks like:
    [OperationContract]
    itemList GetItemList(getItemList param);
    I am adding elements to the "getItemList" class which should be optional. The class is generated from XSD schema with xsd.exe (this means we are using schema-first design). The new element is:
    <element name="itemOwner" type="string" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="0">      </element>
    and the new generated code in the getItemList class becomes:
    private string itemOwnerField;
    public string itemOwner
    get {return this.itemOwnerField;}
    set {this.itemOwnerField = value; }
    When I look at the new WSDL it has:
    <xs:element name="itemOwnerField" nillable="true" type="xs:string"/>
    Now I was expecting the old client to still be able to call the new client, since the new field is nillable. The client has a service reference to the old version of the web service so it uses a C# stub. When the old client tries to invoke the new service,
    I get error:
    The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: There was an error while trying to deserialize parameter http://tempuri.org/:param. The InnerException message was 'Error in line 1 position 754. 'Element' 'itemIDField' from namespace
    'http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/ServerBaseAPI' is not expected. Expecting element 'itemOwnerField'.'.  Please see InnerException for more details.
    My interpretation is that the server side of the new service cannot deserialize the incoming message since it expects it to contain itemOwnerField. Why it that, when it is nillable according to the WSDL? What can I do to solve or work around the problem?

    Hi gaor.mawell,
    The nillable attribute is a special attribute in the XML Schema instance namespace that provides an interoperable way to explicitly represent a null value. The receiving end can interpret these as
    null, zero, and null, respectively. There is no guarantee that a third-party deserializer can make the correct interpretation, which is why this pattern is not recommended. The
    DataContractSerializer class always selects the correct interpretation for missing values. So have you tried to use the DataMember's
    IsRequired property? this
    DataMember's
    IsRequired property tells the serialization engine whether the value of itemOwnerField must be presented in the underlying XML.
    For more information, please try to refer to the this artcle:

  • Is it possible to call a webservice with just the url to its WSDL

    hi all
    can anyone tell me if it is possible to call a webservice with just the url to its WSDL file. must we create the proxy class for webservice client? thanks

    if you are in the context of a J2EE 1.4 container, you do not need to generate any stub, you can use either a dynamic proxy mechanism or dynamic invocation.
    check JWSDP tutorial.

    they'll be implemented by our customers.
    Currently, I create 'dummy' EJBs, then create .ears out of it,
    run 'servicegen' to create a dummy webservice, then run
    'clientgen' to create the WSDLs and the client stub classes
    that I'll finally use. I'd like to avoid some of the above
    steps. Ideally, I'd just create the appropriate Java interface
    classes, then use some tool to create the WSDL and the
    client-stub classes. Is this possible ?

    Hi John,
    Have you considered using a WSDL generation GUI, such as
    http://www.omniopera.com/omniopera.html
    Bruce
    BTW, you do realize that when a webservice is deployed on WLS v7, the
    WSDL is available to anyone using
    http://<host>:<port>/<context_url>/<webservice>?WSDL

    Bruce, I'm not sure how I would use those other tasks to obtain
    what I want. AFAIK, the only way to generate a WSDL for a service
    is to use the 'clientgen' task. And the clientgen task requires
    the actual webservice implementation in the form of a .ear
    file.
    In my case, I need to create WSDLs which I then pass on to
    my customers, for them to implement and host. Currently, to do
    this I have to myself implement the desired dummy webservice
    and then use clientgen to obtain the WSDL (along with the
    stubs etc ..)
    thanx

    Hi John,
    In addition to the servicegen and clientgen ant tasks there are now
    several other narrowly focused ant tasks such as autotype, and
    source2wsdd. Check out the documentation:

    Hope this helps,

  • Generating client stubs...

    Hi all,
    I want to ask a question about my j2me web service project.
    Wireless Toolkit 2.5,
    Tomcat 5.0 for Java WSDP,
    Java Web Services Developer Pack 1.5,
    jdk1.5.0_06 are installed and environment variables are adjusted...
    When i want to generate client stubs after i deploy the project via ant, i get this error:
    error : com.sun.tools.javac.Main is not available in the classpath..
    error: compilation failed, errors should have been reported
    How to solve this problem, please help...

  • OC4J 9.0.4, JAX-RPC, AXIS Client Stub

    Hi All,
    I have hit a problem and am wondering if anybody has any pointers :
    * I have a Webservice running on OC4J 10.1.2 Standalone.
    * I have generated Java client stubs by pointing to this webservice using the wsdl2java tool from Apache Axis and can use these generated classes without any problems outside any web containers.
    * I have created a jsp that calls these classes and can run this within the embedded server of Jdeveloper 9.0.5.2
    However...
    When I deploy the ear file containing this jsp into a 9.0.4 OC4J standalone / or full install and run the same jsp I am getting the following exception :

    Can anybody let me know what I need to do. Is there anyway that I can get this Apache client code (which uses jax-rpc) working within OC4J 9.0.4. I know the limitations of 9.0.4 and Jax-rpc - but I am wondering if anybody has a nice note to work around it.
    Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

    Richard, the error message you see below indicates that the JVM can not recognize your class file.
    java.lang.ClassFormatError: com/abc/mypackage/MyApplicationBindingStub (Illegal Field name "array$[B")
    Are you using different java version to run wsdljava and OC4J? Can you try using the same version of java for both of them?
