Website Always centered

I am trying to make a flash website, very simple website, I
don't know coding or anything but I know enough to make a flash
website. One thing I really NEED that I can't seem to figure out
how to do is Make my flash website Always stay centered no matter
how big or small the user makes their browser window. And if they
change the browser window sie then the site adjusts and centers
itself.
Can Anyone help me out? It seems like a fairly simple thing
to do, I just can't seem to figure it out? Do I HAVE to use code or
can I click a setting somewhere? I never used code.
Thanks for your help.

You can use a table HTML/XHTML center it and put your flash
object/file in it
or simply align the body tag "center".
To make your flash stage bigger/smaller depending on the
screen/browser window size,
use 100% for the width and the height of your embedded .swf
file.

    I can upload dimensions of all those pics in the picture if you ask. Please help me out and let me know. I'm a beginner. :/

    I just uploaded to 000webhost.com and used FTP FileZilla. That is my website so far and the problem is as you can see in this picture. I inspected the element in chrome and this is the picture. http://i46.tinypic.com/vhg64k.png and as you can see the "Container" is highlighted in blue and that is where I want my logo and everything to be in and for some reasons I can't seem to get it inside the container. I just realized that the container is centered and I got that margin on auto which is good, but why is the contents not in it? Any help with that?

  • Website not centered on layout, but it is on Internet Explorer, what could be the problem?

    My website www.thegreatestmindsofourtime.com/downloadpagemain.htm
    does not get centered when it displayed with Firefox.
    But if I use internet explorer, it is centered as it supposed to be.

    I'm not seeing that style rule.

    You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
    Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
    Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
    From the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
    Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
    Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
    Step 2
    Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
    Right-click or control-click the line and select
              Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
    from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
    Repeat with each of these lines:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/Jack.plist
    Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
    /Library/Application Support/VSearch
    /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/Jack
    /System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin
    Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
    This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
    You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that this Internet criminal has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
    *If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
    from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • Azure websites always on.

    I have a application running on azure websites in basic mode and I have set it to always onconflicting information online about what this means exactly. I know the effect, but the "how" matters a lot here
     it does something automatically hit an endpoint in my application periodically? If so, can I control the endpoint it hits?
    default route does non-trivial work and results in a notable amount of outbound traffic and it will also result in items being placed onto a work queue that will eventually be processed.
    I want the application always on  but I don't want some service making requests of application.

    Hi,
    As soon as your Azure Website is marked as AlwaysOn, your site root will be hit within a few seconds. We also make sure your site is up and running on all the workers (if you have configured
    auto scale option or such).
    After that, if the worker process crashes, alwaysOn makes sure that it comes back up. You cannot control the endpoint that it hits.
    Let us know if it helps.

  • Website not centering in computer screen

    Hello,
    I'm building a website in dreamweaver and using fluid grid.
    When the site is viewed on a screen larger than 1132px max-width, the site is rendering on the left side of the screen:
    http://ourhtn.com/
    I've place the header and footer outside the grid container and feel that this or other container element is causing the problem.
    I can't figure out the solution; any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks so much,
    Claude

    Thanks for your quick response.  I appreciate your help.
    I'll dig into this and compare what I've done with your example.
    But I am confused, because the grid container is defined in my style sheet:
    @media only screen and (min-width: 50px) and (max-width: 480px)
    .gridContainer {
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    width: 95.35%;
    padding-left: 1.275%;
    padding-right: 1.275%;
    clear: none;
    float: none;
    @media only screen and (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 768px){
    .gridContainer {
      width: 95.675%;
      padding-left: 1.1625%;
      padding-right: 1.1625%;
      clear: none;
      float: none;
      margin-left: auto;
      margin-right: auto;
    @media only  screen
    and (min-width: 769px) and (max-width: 959px)
    .gridContainer {
    width: 92.5%;
    padding-left: 2.75%;
    padding-right: 2.75%;
    clear: none;
    float: none;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right:auto;
    @media
    only screen and (min-width: 960px)
    ,gridContainer {
    width: 90.5%;
    padding-left: 3.75%;
    padding-right: 3.75%;
    clear: none;
    float: none;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    I am working on a template.  The only content I've placed in the grid container is a placeholder section tag #mainContent.
    I placed header nav and footer outside of the grid.  Incorrect?

  • Is the website always smaller than the screen?

    New to Mac...very frustrating to learn about it without help. Lots of things bug me...first being...why are the websites (window) smaller than the whole screen? Can this be changed?

    The green button in the "traffic lights" (top left corner of window) will toggle between max size and whatever size you have set it to by dragging the bottom right corner.
    Mac 101 is a good place for a beginner - and of course you will get great support in these forums.

  • Firefox always asks for a username/password from a proxy for any website I try to visit. "No proxy" is selected.

    Firefox is installed on my work computer (v16 on windows XP). When I go to any unsecure website, I get a request for a username and password from a proxy. I don't have one, so I press "cancel." I get the following message (I put the asterisks in):
    "This Page Cannot Be Displayed
    Authentication is required to access the requested web site ( *******-webproxy ). A valid user ID and password must be entered when prompted.
    If you have questions, need assistance with your login information, or feel this is an error, please contact your corporate network administrator and provide the codes shown below.
    Notification codes: (1, WWW_AUTH_REQUIRED, *********-webproxy)"
    The website in the address bar is: http://*******-webproxy/B0000D0000N0001F0000S0002R0004/http://www.whatever.com/
    This started after it upgraded (to which version, I don't remember). I also had another version of firefox installed to my "Local Settings" directory since I can't (un)install programs on the computer. That one was working fine until I upgraded to v.15 or v.16 (or maybe 14... I don't remember), and then I started getting the warning screen for an untrusted connection whenever I went to a secure website (https), I had to confirm a security exception, etc. And even then some pages only appeared as text.
    I uninstalled that version, and then installed 17b4, and I'm back to the same problem as the original firefox: unsecure websites always seem to be redirecting through a proxy, and secure ones always tell me the connection is untrusted and I have to confirm an exception. I have "No proxy" selected in the network options. I tried v16 with the same results.
    I would love to be able to just go to a website and not have to confirm security exceptions or get web proxy errors.
    Internet Explorer works fine, btw.

    Not sure from your example but it appears that the address doesn't have a full domain, i.e., the part between http:// and the next / is not a valid internet domain name, e.g.,
    http://sometext-webproxy/
    In that case, it's probably something running on your computer, either as part of your security software, or as a Firefox add-on, or malware.
    A standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
    First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [[Backing up your information]]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
    Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode ([[Safe Mode]]) using
    Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
    If you can access sites normally, this points to one of your extensions or custom settings as the problem.
    To also disable plugins, you can try here:
    orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Plugins category
    Any change?

  • Please help centering website!!

    Hello,
    After researching and getting lost with so many different responses, I figured I'd ask myself to get the response I needed. I use Dreamweaver CS 5.5 and I am having a ton of trouble figuring out how to make it so my website is centered on all monitors and devices. Here is the current website: http://www.kyledake.com/
    However, I am removing and adding a lot of stuff, so I thought now would be a good time to fix things. Here is the code of the homepage I am fixing up; after removing a lot fo the content. I apologize for posting all of it, I don't know specifially where to look. I use a lot of DIVs too, so if anyone has an alternate solution to get things on the site where I want them, please let me know:

  • Centering Flash Websites???

    Hi people,
    I've designed a website in flash but I don't know how to
    center it horizontally as well as vertically. I know that if I ad a
    <center> tag, that centers it horizontally only. Does anyone
    know how to center it so that when you re-scale your browser, the
    website remains centered horizontally and vertically?
    The code at the moment is this:
    <title>main</title>
    </head>
    <body bgcolor="#ffffff">
    <!--url's used in the movie-->
    <!--text used in the movie-->
    <center>
    <object
    classid="clsid:d28cdb6e-ae6d-12cf-97b7-444772540000" codebase="
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,0,0"
    width="910" height="500" id="main" align="middle">
    <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
    <param name="movie" value="main.swf" />
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" />
    <embed src="main.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff"
    width="910" height="500" name="main" align="middle"
    allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
    pluginspage="
    http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
    />
    </object>
    </center>
    </body>
    </html>
    For an example to see what I mean look at
    http://www.louisvuitton.com
    Your help would be greatly appreciated,
    Thanks.

    Well, first off you need to use updated code on your pages so
    that IE on PC will show the site without having to have it
    "enabled".
    I would suggest using the
    Express
    Install Option listed on the Adobe web site.
    After that, head over to
    gotoAndLearn and check out
    his tutorial on centering Flash sites. Just as an FYI, the way I
    implement his cenetering technique on sites
    like this one is by
    putting the entire "site" inside a movieclip, and then having the
    code center that movieclip.
    Hope that helps!

  • Broadcasting: cell item is centered / size of email attachment

    Hi,
    Question No 1.
    I created a web template (BI 7.0) with an analysis web item. When I send the template via broadcast, all cell items are centered in the analysis item. Is it possible to rigth align all numbers in the cells?
    It is the part of the source of *.mht file send via email attachment.
    <td id="ANALYSIS_ITEM_1_interactive_467" tp="C" s="" st="" class="urSTTD urSTTDBdr urSTSStd urSTCl" style="text-align:center;vertical-align:top;"><span tabindex="0" ti="0" id="ANALYSIS_ITEM_1_interactive_466" ct="TV" s="" class="urTxtStd" style="white-space:nowrap;">564.766</span></td><td id="ANALYSIS_ITEM_1_interactive_469" tp="C" s="" st="" class="urSTTD urSTTDBdr urSTSStd urSTCl" style="text-align:center;vertical-align:top;"><span tabindex="0" ti="0" id="ANALYSIS_ITEM_1_interactive_468" ct="TV" s="" class="urTxtStd" style="white-space:nowrap;">1.915</span></td>
    I don't understand the reason of style "text-align:center" for all cell.
    Question No 2.
    In the analysis item we have 1200 row and 12 coloumn. The size of the *.mht attachment is 6MB. Is it normal? Can we reduce it?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hi Arun,
    Thanks for your answer.
    1.
    Yes, I use portal styles. I tried it with all styles (standard, tradeshow,..), but cells are always centered. I created a 'My Theme' and checked the themes for table elements. 'Center' attribute is not set.
         System Administration
          Portal Display
           Theme Editor
            Complex Elements / Table
            Component-Specific Styles / Tables
            Component-Specific Styles / BI Web Reports
    I suspect the 'INTERACTION_ALLOWED' attribute for web template/Analysis item. If I set it to 'Off' then cells are centered.
    I set it to ‘On’, but in case of broadcasting the ‘Off’ can be set automatically.
    2.
    As I know in case of 'HTML' format attachment must be zipped with all MIME elements. It results smaller size (for HTML and MHTML also), but I want to minimize the number of clicks.

  • Always show my Adobe Flash need upgrade but it was the latest

    I visit Youtube website though Firefox however the website always shows that my Adobe Flash need an upgrade. But, my Adobe Flash was already the latest one. I try to visit the website with another browser and Youtube didn't show my Adobe Flash need upgrade anymore. What happened?

    There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash; an '''ActiveX version''' for IE only and a '''Plugin version''' for most other browsers including Firefox. On a Windows system, you should always update both individually. '''You do not appear to have the Plugin version for Firefox installed; look in Add-ons > Plugins for "Shockwave Player ''(version)''".'''
    #'''Using Firefox''', go to the following direct download link and SAVE the download to your desktop so you can find it later: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
    #When the download is finished, close Firefox (File > Exit '''''OR''''' Firefox button > Exit)
    #Click or double-click on the file you just saved to your desktop
    #*In the installation window that appears, click the box to the left of "I have read and...." to place a check mark in the box
    #*The "Install" button in the lower right corner will now be highlighted, click it.
    #*The installation is quick.
    #Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    #Direct link ActiveX version for IE '''''only''''': http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

  • Unable to view bill (or do anything, really, on the business website)

    I appear to be unable to view my bill. If I go to
    https://business.verizon.com/
    Then click on "Go to my business", then type in my username and password, it sends me to the "Application Dashboard".
    Then, under Support, I click on "Pay my bill" and it asks me to login a second time. (??) If I do that, it sends me back to the Application Dashboard. A loop of death and nowhere a bill to be seen.
    Any help?

    I've had the same problem for over six months.
    Promises of call backs and emails, assurances that there's a IT ticket that will resolve it...
    Is Verizon really a technology company? Or would it be a better idea for them to stick with copper and leave the technology to cable? Or even to the power company. At this point I don't care which one. I never have a problem paying my cable bill or utility bill. Their websites always seem to work just fine.
    Why is it so hard to give money to Verizon?

  • Why can't update credit card info, always remind "We're sorry, something seems to be wrong on end.

    after Adobe hacking incident, I replaced with a new credit card
    but now I want to update my credit card information , in order to continue buy Adobe CC
    the website always remind me, "We're sorry, something seems to be wrong on our end. Please try again later. "
    how to fix it ?
    I confirm not the browser or network problems. I try chrome/safari/IE/firefox both Win/Mac

    When I had this exact error message a week ago when updating my CC for the same reason, I was able to get it to work in the Chrome variant CoolNovo but not in IE, but now it works in IE, so I’m not sure what is different.
    I am beginning to think it matters if I’ve logged into the forums or Photoshop.com or into www.adobe.com using a particular browser and there’s a cookie that has either expired or not expired that is holding my password.  Having a particular security setting enabled in the browser might affect it, and whether popups are blocked or not, could to.
    You might try deleting all the adobe.com and Photoshop.com cookies in a browser that allows selective deletions or all cookies in one that doesn’t and try different variations of being logged in to or not logged into www.adobe.com before going over to creative.adobe.com as well as saving your password or not saving your password (remember me checked or unchecked) see if one variation helps.
