Webutil failed to create temporary folder using Get_work_area()

Friends,
We have been migrating from 6i to 10g AS 3-tier environment. We have been using get_work_area() procedure to create temporary folders to transfer report output PDF files for printing. Intially we could able to transfer the files and from there we used webutil_host.blocking to issue the print command. It was working fine. Now webutil is failing to create the temporary folder in the server which was mapped as c:\temp in the webutil.cfg file. We are unable to find the reason behind this failure. Please put your comments for this.
Apart from this if anybody is having solution to print the file to the local printer, please provide the step for that approach.
Regards,
KB

In case /tmp directory is automatically deleted, is it possible to configure a custom directory for alsbTempJars dir in OSB to assure it is never deleted?Add the -Djava.io.tmpdir=newTempDir parameter in the JAVA_PROPERTIES section of the setDomainEnv.sh script. This new location should be outside of the /tmp dir to avoid being cleared by any process.
I think best soultion would be to have alsbTempJars automatically created whenever /tmp is purged.Doing it on the fly may not be possible however you may anytime raise an enhancement request with support and if prod dev approves it, you may get a fix.

Anuj

    One of my replication job failed with below error, which means job failed because of permission issue on the folder. To resolve that, I have granted the permission and it started working fine. Now the question is as my job was running fine since long time
    without any issue then how suddenly the permission of the folder got omitted automatically? I am sure that no one deleted the permission from the folder and as the server is part of SQL cluster no failover occurs.

    Hi Rahul,
    Error code 5 indicates that the error is "access is denied."  Please make sure that the COM folder is excluded from any antivirus scan that occurs on the system.
    If the issue still persists, I recommend you use
    Process Monitor to find out a bit more about the accounts and access requests involved. Then grant write permission to the exact COM folder for the account that is running the SQL Server Agent service. For more details, please review the following similar
    thread.

  • Distribution agent failed to create temporary files in

    Hello,
    we are configured transnational replication in sql server 2005 location, all replication jobs are running fine,
    while we checking sql server errorlog showing below error :
    Distribution agent failed to create temporary files in  'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\COM' directory. System returned errorcode 5.
    NOte: normally we are configured replication 2005 [90] , but while see the above error it shows [100] comparability level .

    Hi,
    If the account that is running SQL Server Agent does not have write access to the COM folder, the Distribution Agent will fail
    when it is running as a job. If you run the Distribution Agent from a command line by using an account that does not have write access to the COM folder, the same failure will occur.
    To work around this
    issue, grant write permissions to the COM folder for the account that is running the SQL Server Agent service. If you run the Distribution Agent from a command line, grant write permissions to the COM folder for the account that you use to run the Distribution
    Agent.

  • Aperarature error failed to create temporary directory creating photo book?

    I am getting error message when trying to buy photo book created in Aperature 3 - failed to create temporary directory and then error localize.  Help!

    Hello BDAqua,
    Thanks for the suggeston.
    I did the A4 routine several times to no avail. Doesn't that include C11?
    Anyway I'll keep C11 (simple reselect of backup disk) in mind for the future.
    For now I'd rather keep using my old backup disk even if it's only 80GB for 43GB full backup size. At least it is working perfectly.

  • How to create a folder using plsql

    hi all
    i want create a folder using plsql procedures .

    I am not sure weather you can create a folder on database server file system using pl/sql code but you certainly can create/read/write file system files using UTL_FILE package.
    'The Oracle supplied package UTL_FILE can be used to read and write files that are located on the server. It cannot be used to access files locally, that is on the computer where the client is running.'

    It seems that error is caused because OSB is unable to create temporary jar file in /tmp/alsbTempJars. I looked for path and actually directory alsbTempJars is not present on disk. I had already created that directory in the past so I can't figure why it has been deleted.
    Also I saw some out of disk space error in logs although I checked that it is at least 1Gb free at OSB mount point.
    We've realized of this problem when checking logs after we got an error working with OSB web console.
    To solve this error I had to create alsbTempJars directory and restart the node. Then error stopped and processing continued normaly. I think node activity was interrupted during error as I only see stack traces in log file.
    OSB runs in a Linux machine with user Oracle that is also owner of alsbTempJars directory.
    Hope someone could help us with this.
    Regards,
    Daniel.

  • Create temporary Tables using SQL

    Hello,
    I'm wondering if SAP allows the creation of new Tables without SDK objects,
    I want to create temporary tables using SQL scripts an compile them when an specific addon is connected and erase them when the addon disconnects,
    Do you think this is allowed?.
    thanks,
    Gabriela

    You could always have a second DB to create your temp tables in.  This is the way I've done this, as well as created my own views and stored procedures in it.  No updating of the primary table necessary.  The way I named things was:
    Company_DB - Company Database
    Company_DB-Extern - My own stuff
    Then, in sap, you can just do [Company_DB-Extern]..Object to call it, or you do the same from withing your project.

    Yes, you're probably hitting the 5000 list item threshold (
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/105937/overcoming-5000-file-document-library-limits ). I assume you can do it via the UI because you're probably logged in as an admin in which case, out of memory, the threshold is 20.000 items. You can extend
    this limit, but you probably shouldn't.

  • OT: Create a folder using PHP?

    I'm trying to create a folder in PHP, and I'm using this
    markup -
    <?php
    $dir = 'test';
    echo(!mkdir('/images/'.$dir)?'Fail':'Success');
    ?>
    Shouldn't that work (I'm hosted on Windows, but it's PHP5)?

  • SAPGUI 7.20 installer script in Lion fails to create SAP folder in Pref

    I have an issue in which the the SAPGUI for Mac installer/script is failing to created tge SAP folder in Hard drive /Library/Preferences folder as in does in Snow Leopard.  When I use my Applescript later to move the connection files to the preferences folder, it fails because the SAP folder was not created by the SAPGUI installer script.  It looks like Apple has increased security on the Preferences folder since I'm being prompted to delete any file in the Preferences folder or subfolders.
    I using PlatinGUI720MacOSX_6-10006059.JAR (version 720.6)
    I've tried to modify my applescript to create the SAP folder in Hard drive/Library/Preferences but have not been successfully and also a bit concerned about where else the install script behaves differently in Lion compared to Snow Leopard.

    Hi, not we not have opened note for the issue.
    we check, open note in oss.
    Thank you.

  • How to create a Folder using a SQL Query?

    Hi
    How can I create a Folder (eg. C:\MyNewFolder) using SQL Query?

    Hi,
    I added some code in order to get the result from the xp_cmdshell command
    This returns null if successfull, if an error occurs returns the error message. May be useful instead of getting an sql error
    Code Snippet
    declare @cmdpath nvarchar(60), @Location nvarchar(100), @message nvarchar(max)
    set @Location = N'C:\Temp\Temp5'
    set @cmdpath = 'MD '+ @Location
    Create table #result
    result nvarchar(255)
    insert into #result (result) exec master.dbo.xp_cmdshell @cmdpath
    select @message = ISNULL(@message + ' - ','') + result from #result where result is not null
    select @message
    drop table #result

  • CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE USING EXECUTE IMMEDIATE

    Hi All,
    i have a question,
    how can i create a temporary table using EXECUTE IMMEDIATE ??
    Like:
    CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY table new_table as (Select * from old_table);
    Thanks,
    Edited by: xDeviates on Jun 11, 2012 3:13 PM

    It looks like you are approaching the problem incorrectly. As I suggested in Dynamic Select, it sounds like you, at most, want a function that returns a SYS_REFCURSOR (it's still not obvious to me why you would even want/ need to resort to dynamic SQL in the first place)
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION get_dynamic_cursor( p_table_name IN VARCHAR2 )
      RETURN sys_refcursor
    IS
      l_rc sys_refcursor;
    BEGIN
      OPEN l_rc FOR 'SELECT * FROM ' || dbms_assert.sql_object_name( p_table_name );
      RETURN l_rc;
    END;which you can then call from your application
    SQL> variable rc refcursor;
    SQL> exec :rc := get_dynamic_cursor( 'EMP' );
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> print rc

  • How to POST (create) a folder using CMIS REST in Webcenter

    Has anyone tried to create a new folder using CMIS REST/Atom calls in Webcenter ?
    Here's what I try to do:
    http://172.31.100.150:7001/cmisrestprelim/cmis/children/MyContentServer ==>POST (using the REST client plug-in in Firefox)
