WebUtil upgrade causes FRM-90926 on all forms

Since upgrading from the Beta to the Production release of WebUtil I am no longer able to run forms from iDS Builder.
I get the "FRM-90926: Duplicate parameter on command line." error and believe its caused by the difference between the webutiljini.htm provided with the Beta release and the latest version.
If I replace the new webutiljini.htm with the old one then no errors occur. Is this an acceptable workround or will I be missing out on any new features from the production release?

its acceptable because the webutiljini file is nothing more than a basejini file with the webutil reference added. The Forms Servlet uses this file to create the Forms Applet HTML file.
However, if you compare the two webutiljini files, maybe you see where the difference is that causes this error. If its a duplicate command then I assume that in the newer webutiljini a parameter shows twice.

The webutil user guide has a chapter on performance considerations. Have you looked at that?
The number one point from that chapter is:
1. Only WebUtil Enable Forms that actually need the functionality. Each form that is WebUtil enabled will generate a certain amount of network traffic and memory
usage simply to instantiate the utility, even if you don’t use any WebUtil
functionality.

WEBUTIL and FRM-90926 - Duplicate parameter on command line

I'm trying to get the webutil demo (WU_TEST_105.fmb) to work...I've followed all the instructions but have ended up getting the FRM-90926 error message when I run it. This seems to be caused by the webutiljini.htm file having duplicate commands with those in the formsweb.conf file. I'm using Forms10g.
I've gone through all the FRM-90926 questions on this forum and none of them address this problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

I've found the duplicate entries in the formsweb.cfg file. If I remove them then I get FRM-47023 errors (No such parameter named...) and the form doesn't run. Do you have any idea how I can get rid of these duplicate entries?

Urgent !!! FRM-90926--- Webutil

#1 No, when i run other forms, i don't have any problem.
#2 i just added the simple webutil call as given in the webutil documentation. i did all the necessary steps and then when i try to execute the form i am getting this error.
#3 the problem appears at startup, when i try to execute the form using the url in Internet explorer

I am migrating a Forms application from Forms 9i to Forms 10g. Most of my forms were originally created using the Oracle Designer Forms generator. I am also using the Webutil plugin. I just finished configuring Webutil, tested it and it seems to be working fine.
I am able to compile all code and generate a Form executable. However at runtime, I get an error as soon as the first line of code in the WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger.
The error is:
FRM-40735: WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06508
and the beginning of the code is as follows. Using the debugger, I found out that the line:

It is consider "bad form" to usurp another's post. Please create your own Forum post and include a link or links to any relevant posts. As to Randy's situation, he simply compiled the Forms 9i Library module (.pll) with Forms 10g's compiler. This may not be the cause of your error. When you post your own question, please include your Forms version (full version [eg; 10.1.2.0.2] not the release [6i, 9i, 10g, etc]). Also include any sample code that might help us help you! ;-)

FRM-92101 error in Forms

I have on my laptop for study purposes Developer Suite 10g, with 9iR2 database and WebUtil 1.6.
I have a form downloaded from internet in order to see how the TEXT_IO and CLIENT_TEXT_IO function. The form contains the WEBUTIL library.
When I execute the form I receive the following error:
"FRM-92101. There was a failure in the forms server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web server log for details."
In the web server log file I see:

I canceled the .fmx file, recompile, at execution I receive the same error (the other forms that don't uset WEBUTIL are running without problems).
What should I do in this case?
On my laptop I have webutil 1.6. I don't know the version number of the webutil package used in the form found on the internet. Could this be the reason?

when you try to compile the form, make sure you have attached the webutil.pll to the attached libraries section in the form..
also, while compiling the form, make sure you compile all PL/SQL code (Program-Compile PL/SQL--All) and then make an fmx
then try to run the form from web..try this and let us know if you run into same kind of issues..

Forms 6i Menu Items not Lauchning (FRM-40010: Cannot read form...)

Sorry for the newbie issue - I just haven't been able to figure this out...
I inherited maintenance of a old Oracle Forms Application, I was told it was version 5. And all the source modules were appended with "v05" like form1_v05.fmb, etc. I since discovered that when the users launch it they run against the forms 6i run time - so I guess this means it is actually a forms version 6i application.
The App has about 20 forms, 20 reports and a menu - and no project.
I copied all the source files into a working directory, then I created a project with the project builder using the "use all files in the current directory".
When I run the app ( by drilling down to this app's "logo" form - a splash screen contain our company logo, and a Menu structure it runs fine.
But just about every menu item I attempt to select ( i.e. MENU->Catagory1->OrderForm or in my case something like MENU->Inbound->Entry/Maintenance) results in no new form launching and the status bar contains the error message like "FRM-40010: Cannot read form order_v05.fmx"
In the above example the project does contain a order_v05.fmb, and it compiles fine ( in fact a project "build all" generates no errors or warnings ) - my single working directory contain all the source modules ( like fmb's, rdf's and mmb's) and compiled versions ( fmx's, mmx ) . Specificlly the order_v05.fmx is also there.
So why can't the app find the compiled form compiled in the same project and located in the same directory?
I also see several ERR files but the only thing the err files contain is a whole lot of lines saying things like " Compiling POST-FORM trigger on form... No compilation errors."
Any help getting this beast to run would be appreciated.

I may have a clue as to what is causing the issue, but don't know how to fix it.
I started poking in the menu items, and the child menu item that is supposed to do something runs some "Menu Item code" like this:

Intermittent error FRM:40010 Cannot read form

I'm having a problem with call_form
Using Forms 6.05.34 Client-server
clients machines are Win95/98
Oracle objects sits on network novell server (fmx's,rep's and oracle executables)
Application starts from icon which sets working directory using "start in"
I navigate between forms using call form and run reports using run_product

The calendar library is attached to the form. (calendar.pll and stndrd20.olb on network)
We do not set working directory in forms60_path and do not want to for many reasons. Also do not hard code path with form name in call_form for same reasons.
After using system, calling and exiting several forms and running reports. Must run reports that are sent directly to printer before error occurs. (Frm-40010)
Users must exit back to starting menu or exit application and restart.
Only 3 forms and 2 reports are really in use.
Query on Browse form calls editing form which runs report (auto prints) then calls 3rd form which runs report (auto prints). Exit to 2nd form then exit back to browse form (query again .. repeat)
After 3 or 4 repeats the error appears.
As developer, I can only reproduce the error when running oracle from network folder (running oracle executables from network)not when running from my desktop.

Cause: One of the following:
1. You entered a nonexistent form name.
2. You typed an incomplete path.
3. You do not have the proper privileges to run the form.
4. You do not have a compiled copy of the form.
Action: Retype the form name correctly, provide the proper path name, compile the form.
Moreover you said that you have added path in FORMS90_PATH. Does your forms really exists in this directory. Check out this also.

Funny you should ask... At about the same time that the Xserve was discontinued, we also lost our channel rep of nearly 14 years. Right now we are not sure who our rep is. I have however, sent this to as many people in Apple that I could think of. And I plan on continuing to reach out to as many as possible.
The sad reality is that this decision is impacting customer deployments and the future of customer installations. Apple strives for market share and loves to tout those numbers. But the numbers we fought for over these last eight years are going to disappear.
As much as this impacts our business, we are making up for it in enterprise deployment of systems. We will survive and lead in our geographic area. I do not fear that. But OS X Server is a UNIX server and with it has come all of the benefits of a UNIX system, including legitimacy in a data center. The Intel Xserve cemented this reality because of its hardware configuration and form factor. Yes, we have G4 and G5s still in service. But those are mostly in all Mac shops that understand the benefits and can work around the buzz word limitations. But fortune 100/500 IT departments did not really get on board until the release of the Intel server.
Still beating the drum to raise awareness. Spread the word and talk to your Apple reps.
Also, ask about the direction that Apple's Enterprise team is going. If the news I hear is correct, then our fears about all things pro and enterprise going away are likely true.

Video and audio not sync when i play all forms of video. from music videos, to tv shows. but they play perfect on my iPod. and tv shows display out of order on iPod, but in correct order on iTunes/computer. I even ran a virus check just to make sure.

audio and video do not syncronize. all forms of videos. music videos to tv shows. what do i need to do the syncronize them again
they are in sync on iPod, but not on computer.
another issue that might be from the same cause is, the order of episodes of the tv shows i have downloaded, they appear in order on computer, but on iPod they show out of order.
any tips on how to fix this would very much help.

After upgrading to Firexfox 35.0 all vine videos, instagram videos and some webplayer videos dont work anymore.

Before I start, I will like to point out some things Ive tried already so this doesnt end up being a back and forth of things already tried.

*Ive gone into safe mode and nothing
*Ive tried toggling off the plug-ins to see if anything I have problems with works. Nothing.

Whenever I would terminate/end process my plugin from my task manager in 34.0 EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING would not work including every vine video and instgram video, it would either show that grey message that says the plugin crashed or it would not work. They would all work again when I refreshed the page. Everything, in 34.0 in my firefox was using the flash plugin.
Now, as I stated above I thought it was just some kind of webplayer and firefox 35.0 conflict that was causing these problems.

IS because of their file extension, their file types.

In Conclusion, what gives??
-In 34.0 Everything worked.
-If I terminated/ended process the Flash plugin in 34.0 everything would be affected by it , either by not working anymore or showing me that grey crash message.
-This all started when I upgraded to 35.0
-Has nothing to do with webplayer conflicting with 35.0 as proven above.
-The reason for all of this not working is the type of video extension they have. Judging from the examples I gave of the things I cant play, it would seem I cant play mp4, flv and whatever vine uses. Which I think its mp4 as well.
Anyways, how do I fix all this so it works like it did before I upgraded to 35.0

I looked at that but it only shows for Windows 8.1 , 8.0 , 7 , i have Vista , 64 bit Ultimate , would the Windows 7 one work ?? , or am i out of luck ?
And what plug-in icon in the address bar ?? , i don't see anything that pertains to any plug-ins

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can act on it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report what happened. No harm will be done.
12. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

FRM 40735 : WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE Trigger raised unhandled exception

Hi all,
I'm from a support team.
Here we have a 3 database in 2 servers connecting to a single application.
Only one Db will be connected at all time , other DB's are backup.
Here the issue is 2DB DBs residing on the same server were able to cennect to the application and doesn't through any error. But the 3rd one in different server gives the below error,
FRM 40735 : WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE Trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06508
The Forms were compiled using the First DB , that time when i access the app using the 3rd db i'm getting the above error.
But when I compile the form using the 3rd DB and connect to the App its working fine (The size of the form gets reduced during the compilation).

Could be a timestamp vs signature issue - forms is calling a database procedure in the WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger and the procedures have different compile times on the different dbs and it's set to use timestamp to determine if a procedure has changed. You can change remote_dependecy_mode = 'Signature'.

I am trying to build a multi form. Form A calls Form B. Both the forms are compiled and I have placed them in the forms/US folder. Both the fmx files have been generated. Form A is accessed from Function. When I click on the function Form A opens up. On clicking a button in Form A, form B opens up. But when I clidk the button I get the error
FRM:40010 Cannot read Form.
Both the .fmx files are generated. We are on 12.1.3
Can someone give me any hints to debug this or let me know what could be the issue. I have not created any function for Form B and Form A passes alomost a dozen parameters to Form B.

What is the complete error message you get? Does the error message show any path?

FRM-18108 When loading form (due to change in olb)

Hello,
I am working with oracle forms 6i and have an object library and pl/sql library that are both utilized in all forms I work with. There was a duplicate stored procedure in the object library and pl/sql library so I removed the duplicate from the object library. This stored procedure that i removed from the olb was subclassed or copied to many of the forms I work with so I have been manually deleting that stored procedure from the forms so that my application will pick up the current version in the attached pl/sql library. The forms run fine however every time I open the forms that had the subclassed library object removed I get FRM-18108 Failed to load the following objects (the message references the object library as the source module and the stored procedure that was removed as the source object.)
I am not sure why forms is still looking for the stored procedures in the olb, I am confident that the subclassed copies from the olb have been removed form the form and there is no trace of the original code in the olb either. When running the form and calling that stored procedure it picks up the version from the pl/sql library without issue.
Both the object library and pl/sql library are correctly attached to the form and the registry does contain the path of their physical location. The form has been recompiled several times but I can't seem to get rid of the error.
Anyone have any idea what I can do to get rid of the FRM-18108 when opening forms that contained this subclassed unit that has been completely removed? It doesn't hurt anything but is annoying. Been searching through the forms but all I could find was issues with attaching the libraries which didn't help me on this.
