Weird logs, looking for explanation

Hi folks,
Last week we had an outage and none of us could get out to Internet. We only use NTLM authentication and our AD is working. When user connect to proxy, they are blocked and would not match any policy.

Then when I look at proxy_auth logs, I found some interesting. Hope someone could explain what these mean:

There seems to be a new myth going around recently. I’ve had at least three people tell me, in the last month, that SQL’s transactional replication requires the database to be in full recovery.
This is complete fabrication. Replication (SQL native replication, that is) can work with the databases in any of the recovery models.
Transactional replication does involve the transaction log, as that’s where it picks up changes from. The log reader scans over the transaction log looking for log records marked for replication, copies those to the distribution database and then marks them
as replicated. When the checkpoint (for simple recovery) or log backup (for full or bulk logged) occur, the log will only be truncated up to the oldest inactive, replicated transaction.
Because transactional replication has its own way of ensuring log records aren’t discarded before been picked up by the log reader, there’s no requirement for a specific recovery model.

Where to look for log files & crash reports to help debug lockups?

Where would I look for possible log files or crash information that may provide clues on what the problem is?
Three or four times in the past few days my system has became unresponsive requiring a power-cycle. The little prism-colored round-cursor appears. I can drag windows about with my BlueTooth mouse (but not the trackpad) and that's about. The Function keys are not responsive. Other times the UI may becomes totally unresponsive.
A couple of weeks ago I Carbon Copy cloned my hard drive to a new 500GB Hitachi 7200 RPM ( I have 200GB free space now ). Before upgrading, I do not recall having had this problem. It usually occurs when I am running a Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2 VM under Parallels. Parallels may have nothing to do with it as that's what I do all day ( develop Linux software in a VM ).
I have a MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz, OS X 10.6.3.

This is a Mac OS X issue. I am not using Boot Camp or otherwise dual-booting. I am running Linux in a virtual machine under a Parallels Mac OS X host; in effect running Linux as an application under OS X.
Unfortunately I did not see any clues in either log file location. Thank you very much for explaining where to look. I ran Disk Utility and repaired a bunch of permissions. Perhaps I should have done this before and after making the Carbon Copy clone.

On an activity task we have 'Logged comments' section. I am looking for FM that I could use to import 'Logged comments' for an activity task.
I guess that I can use CRM_ORDER_READ. I was trying to find some documentation but did not find anything. I am not sure which object I should export.
Could anyone help me?

If you are refering to text called logged comments then use function module READ_TEXT.

Looking for multiple graph logging suggestions

I have a "host program" that is attached to a cRIO platform used for precision controlling of some heavy machinery. The current host is used to set parameters, but primarily to read values and display trends for the operators and maintenance personnel. I had previously been looking for a method to put a correct timestamp on my historical charts, which allow the user to scroll back if something odd occurs, but this has become more trouble than it is worth. One of my main difficulties in all of this is that I have 6 synchronized graphs that need the "roll back" ability, and putting a live timestamp on a chart you must be able to pause and rewind is unfathomably difficult with LabVIEW...
So, I have decided to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, so to speak. I needed to work out logging the graphed signals to file anyhow, so I decided I might as well just do this and externally reference the log files for the "rewind" functionality. My problem now is finding the best approach to log these 6 graphs of differing types... The first graph has 3 overlaid analog values, the second graph has 2 overlaid values, and the last 4 are each just a single individual (scaled) sensor reading. The graphs are updated every 100ms. Accurate timestamps (date and time) need to be attached to the data as well.
This logging is a new arena of LabVIEW for me, but I figured there has to be at least a few experienced users or developers out there who know all of the ins and outs. Any suggestions on the best way for me to log this data? Individual files for each chart, or is there a better method to combine the data to keep it cleaner (not multiple files to track)? Are there pitfalls I should be watching out for?

Take a look at tdms files. They are a binary format that is open (www.ni.com/white-paper/5696/en). You can define groups of channels and they can be logged at different rates. The LabVIEW API makes it relatively easy to retrieve a channel or group, although it may be more challenging to find a specific time if your files are large. Besides the examples included with LabVIEW, you can drill down into the TDMS File Viewer that's in the TDMS palette for another example. Also, there is a plug in for Excel that will allow it to import TDMS files (zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/2944).

Will CDC look for a missing archive log in an alternate log_archive_dest ?

Will CDC look for a missing archive log in an alternate log_archive_dest ?
If a log is deleted from the primary dest, will CDC look in all the altenate destinations before failing? Or is it unaware of the other destinations?

I am looking for the Garbage Collection log files which contain the GC events, like this:

The server's GC is already configured accordingly:

I have examined the std_server<x>.out files at the work folder but can't see this info.
My question is: Where would I find these files on the server?

I can't find info in the format I know it not at dev_server* or std_server*.
in std_server I see xml file like this:

Available account menus and screens do not have a visible: "balance remaining" field.
History should include notification such as "credits expired" and a dollar cost but none appears.
Sugggestion: since email is embeded with the iTunes account, a thrity day expiration notice email should be a simple and kind feature of the iTunes store.

Looking for Tiger compatable network logging tool/program

I have a client that has become email blacklisted. They are hosting their own email server on a Mac OS X server. However some of the clients in the building are PC. Not sure if someone is using them as relay or they have a zombie PC.
Looking for a program we can run on a Mac at the MOPE of the internet connection and log incomming and outgoing traffic. We want to determine whats going on. Anyone have a reccomendation? I looked at Net Monitor, but its logs look to vague. Only showing IP address and a connection, not whats going on with that connection. We are looking for something like Net Monitor but with packet sniffing I guess. Anyone ?

I assure you that I've not spammed once, nor are any of my machines compromised, never "used" for spamming... either the IP was Spoofed, or the fact that I didn't have a Static IP, means that IP was garnered by someone that was spamming or compromised.
If they are Macs, Little Snitch tells you when a program tries to send info to the internet so you can see what's going on in the background!

I am looking for a multi user, searchable journal / log

I am looking for an app that will let 4 people create their separate journals or log. The intent is to create better communication and shift hand off. I would like it to be searchable with key words, and also a todo list for each user. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

wow there are lots of solutions without apps, but i believe if use an app instead of gmail accounts to share google docs, or outlook to share online documents and collaborate orojects, or to use microsoft exchange etc.one solution would be to allow up to five different emails to be used attached to your Apple ID, and to allow sharing all of the iWork suite files through the iCloud.
I store and access all of my Keynote, GarageBand, iMovie, and other files through the iCloud. All of my text Editorfiles are also stored in the iCloud under opened and saved from there. If you use dropbox, all box, or what time recommend for large storage for free is MEGA with a 50 GB free storage then all of these solutions have online players, viewers and in some cases even editors within the cloudbrowser interfaces they have designed for the apps.
By sharing these with your work team you would allow them to access and edit the files.if you are using Gmail and Google accounts, then of course your Gmail account will let you access Google docs and you have GDrive meaning, Google drive for storing files. I think I would recommend BOX. I have just started using it and it seems very promising, and I am using the free version, which serves my purposes.
The service and it's interface, is quite extensive indeed. I'm so if you really are willing to pay for the pro are the super pro versions I think it is a very powerful tool if perhaps slightly expensive. It is fitted out with a heck of a lot of functionality.

I am a multitasker and use multiple apps in combination both fall the intended purposes which they were made for, and also for other purposes which I have invented myself, that the developers probably never thought of when they created those apps. Please let me know more details about how you wish to use and apply your methods with the app US seeking because I have spent many thousands of dollars on different paid apps to find the functionalities I need on my ios devices. I suffer from gout and arthritis, and my fingers are too sensitive to use a keyboard or mouse which makes my hands swell up and burn like heck. I have just found a way to both control my computer using the iPad as my mouse trackpad and keyboard, as well as using the iPad as a remote desktop which is also mouse and trackpad and keyboard built into one. This has relieved my hands from myinvalidity which as an author who spends up to 18 hours a day typing is a great relief. So that far some apps are not only usable for what the purposes they are stated.for example, I just use Keynote on the iPad to make a single slide with a master slide. But that master slide has become a motion graphics intro video for one of my YouTube channels as an MP4 video. This is not possible to convert from Keynote itself and I had to find an ulterior path to achieving my goal of obtaining a keynote presentation into an MP4 stream of both YouTube video.I have been working on various websites with collaborators who work for me who needs access to the files which I contribute for them to be able to finish that work with. I therefore understand a large number of your needs but perhaps not all of them, because each of us slightly different in our methods, goals and what our businesses are.
but believe me I can give you lots of information about how to apply different apps to achieve goals with and also how to simplify things into try and reducing things to one device and one or as little apps as possible in order to collaborate your projects and get the files accessed and worked on without having to go the long way home, meaning having to use 10 apps could do something that you can do with one browser and one application on the MacBook or a computer. With mobile devices at least with Apple, it is different. There are many websites like YouTube which you can't even comment in the comments box on if you use Safari in iPad. The keyboard is completely deactivated and you cannot edit any single comment there at all. So there are still problems with thisand of issue, meaning we still need to use Mac book and iMac to get our work done especially the big stuff like documentary movies and 4K super HD movies, which are the new thing.
I use an ecommerce solution (ecwid), which has a TinyMCE what you see is what you get text editor inserted into an I-frame within the admin CP Control Panel, and it is completely unnavigable and deactivates the keyboard when trying to edit products using an iPad or any iOS seven device.I have that for how to find a way of connecting to my computer at home using the remote desktop, in order to be able to work on my online store using the iPad. This is just one of many integration approaches which I am experimenting with and spending many thousands of dollars on paid apps in order to find various approaches what is right and what is wrong with the iOS system.

I know how to achieve all of the girls you mention and Tmart from dozens of different approaches. Some of them free some of them paid. Some of the free ones are better than paint options and the other way round two. I find is boring because I think it's more interesting to just show the end results of what can be achieved using Apple and his built-in products. I have been making movies to try and create something that looks smooth and professional on YouTube, but I'm still pretty amateur with it.
I used it to make my intros and to edit all the movies with and at sound files imported from GarageBand which I played the music myself all made the effects myself to avoid claims and issues with YouTube however, I opemed Keynote after having never having used PowerPoint, or any other kind of slideshow maker of presentation software in my whole life].I used it, for the first time yesterday and sat until 6 o'clock in the morning making myself busy and my eyes Bokel training myself from beginner to advanced in one evening. The result was an intro video that is multimedia multi layered, with transparencies, intro amd outros for each inserted element be that a picture, video, textbooks, or what ever.).I found I had made a truly moving dynamic video, and motion graphics that is a single Master slide, which one would think of normally as a still image in a series of slideshows like in PowerPoint.
However, I found out that I can use it to make beautiful motion graphics and explanatory video intros, which are approaching, even in my first attempt, something similar to how Apple videos look.
I thus concluded, logically when you consider it, that Apple of course, makeall their company media and video content, using their own software.
I then realized, that it was not iMovie, and Final Cut Pro, that they used to get those smooth flat translucent and futuristic effects which are beautiful in that simplicity.it is not those solutions which were used for many of the effects and presentations which we see in the videos found on Apple's website
it is indeed I have found since yesterday the ApplePowerPoint alternative,that has produced the most beautiful translucent and somehow flat but in tentatively deep interface of that presentations. Namely, Apple's keynote presentation software on the iPad.I was amazed and uploaded it to my YouTube channel on how to mockable as a demonstration of what can be achieved with Keynote and also to use as an intro for some of my videos which I will be making. People should therefore use them and push those limits as they were intended to be pushed. It is incredible what you can really do and I wish people to become aware of this.
