Weird PHP or Div issue with FireFox?

Not sure what's going on but a specific div code is appearing differently in Firefox and Chrome.
http://i.imgur.com/LHkhEEM.png
In FireFox, the <div> Sidebar appears OUTSIDE of the content div....
In Chrome, the <div> Sidebar appears INSIDE of the content div...
It appears fine on everyone's firefox except for mine. So is there a setting or something that I did to make this happen? or reverse? I did the firefox restart and the problem is still there. I'm losing my mind over here cause I can't edit the site.

This is the HTML:
<pre><nowiki>
<div id="sidebar">
<div class="<?php echo $tmq_sidebarwidth;?>">
<?php dynamic_sidebar( $tmq_pagesidebar ); ?>
</div>
</div>
<div class="clearboth"></div>
</nowiki></pre>
Everything is closed properly... And as mentioned, it works in everyone elses firefox. We all have the latest version - 23.0.1.
Why would this appear fine on someone elses but not mine?

    I'm having a lot of issues with firefox and cannot figure out how to get help. It began when I updated to 13. I get all kinds of ad popups, I cannot play one game on FaceBook called Farm Town at all, and I keep getting an AVG popup about cookies that I cannot get rid of. These issues are causing me to use Chrome very often even though I like Fox better. I've searched and searched how to get help and cannot find anything. How does one get personal technical help?? These issues do not happen in Chrome at all. Thanks.

    Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
    You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
    Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br /><br />

  • After I updated to Firefox 5.0, I am unable to access my TalkTalk Webmail Inbox. Talktalk say that there are 'issues' with Firefox 5. Any suggestions???

    I can login to the Talktalk Tiscali webmail site. However I cannot access the mail folders such as Inbox etc. My contact with Talktalk is not very satisfactory and they state that there is an issue with Firefox 5 and that I should use another Browser. When I try with Google Chrome, I can indeed access the mail folders as before so there is an ISSUE with Firefox 5.

    Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.
    You can find the instructions for that in a post on the TalkTalk forums: [http://www.talktalk.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=185113#post2452787 Firefox 4 & TalkTalk webmail - Forums].
    Note: when you open about:config the first time, it will display a warning message that you should be careful with the changes you make. That's definitely good to bear in mind.
    Does it work?

    I am working on Security scan(to avoid cross site forgery) with the CSRF approach of tomcat(apache-tomcat-6.0.32) but I am getting following issue with firefox:
    1. Firefox is not supporting CSRF provided by tomcat in a proper way firefox creating multiple sessions.
    2. Whenever any exception (like JSP exception) comes on page. Firefox redirects it to CSRFPreventionFilter and this filter creates new session.
    3. Sometimes while traversing through application also CSRFPreventionFilter filter creates new session.

    I seem to have fixed it by putting <div  class="clearfloat"></div> after the navigation bar?

  • I am having some serious issues with firefox, i can't print anything because it is stuck on fax and I can't use any of the drop down menus on any site

    I am having some serious issues with firefox to the point of choosing another search engine. I can't print anything because it is stuck on fax and won't let me change it to my printer when i do try to select my printer it jumps right back to fax. The drop down menus do not work on any of the sites I go to. For example when purchasing clothes and you have to choose a size from a drop down menu I can't do it when I click on the drop down menu it doesn't work at all. I don't have a virus I ran my virus protector and no viruses are present. I don't have any suspicious issues going on with my computer so there has to be something in Firefox that is causing my issues. I tried internet explorer and I don't have any issues there. I hope you can help me because I love Firefox and would really like to continue to use it.

    Lots of issues there, main one getting fcpx going again, try deleting the preferences using the utility deveoped by these guys.

  • Issues with Firefox hogging resources...

    I have several issues with Firefox intermittently consuming 99-100% of my CPU memory. Now, let me preface this by saying that I am NOT an advanced user, and can only tell you what I see on things like the Task Manager and such. Furthermore, I know that you guys know about some of this stuff - at least, I am pretty sure you do - but I am nowhere near comfortable enough to mess with any command line... stuff... in Firefox. I just am not knowledgeable enough about the program, and I don't want to 'break' it (lol). Anyway, down to business. Here are the issues I am having:
    1. Upon startup, Firfox takes between 30 seconds and a minute and a half to load 5 tabs. When I first downloaded and installed it, these same tabs took less than 10 seconds to load. I have tried clearing my cache and history but nothing seems to help. If it matters, I have been using Firefox for going on 5 years now.
    2. Once the program has loaded, '''any''' keyboard shortcuts I use in it (ctrl+a, ctrl+c or v, alt=tab, etc) cause the CPU memory usage of Firefox to spike to 99 or 100 percent. In affect, it freezes my computer for anywhere between 2 and 30 seconds, roughly. It does this usually, but not always, and I frequent all the same sites, so the page I am on does not seem to matter.
    3. I have noticed that some of the addons I use with Firefox, mainly Multi Links, lag as well when the above issue is occurring. Not sure if the two are connected in any way (also not sure why that feature is not ''built into Firefox to begin with'') and would have checked this but I will not risk not being able to get back here again. See below.
    4. This is unrelated, but I felt it merited some small mention. This is effectively my SIXTH attempt at posting my query. The first time, I created an account and it forwarded me to some page basically saying 'Yup, you're logged in alright.' Then it KEPT doing that every time I tried to flesh out and ask my question, until I navigated COMPLETELY away from the page ''four times'' and attempted this one last time. Very frustrating. I even tried going to Live Chat for help, but somehow got off the chat window page and then suddenly chat was closed... right. Anyway, point being, it was difficult to get this posted and it has me even more annoyed. >.<
    I have always loved Firefox because it was faster and more reliable than IE. But here recently... it just seems to be going downhill. For instance, I have seen others ask questions about what's going on with the plugin container and that stupid flash plugin - I happen to have that issue rather severely, to the point that I must leave Flash off entirely until I ''have to'' turn it back on (which is wearing down my last nerve, I might add, since I use sites that require that particular plugin daily), and while I did see a couple rather nice solutions about editing/tweaking internal Firefox settings, I must profess that I am nowhere near competent or comfortable enough to even think about attempting them. Furthermore, I do not believe I should be required to make such changes in order to get the program to function properly and risk ruining it completely so that I have to uninstall and reinstall just so I have Firefox. This is all rather exasperating, and judging from the replies I saw on those topics, I do not expect much help here (a couple of people were rather rude on one of those topics, I am afraid I am a minority here, not knowing my way around program language and all =( ). My main goal is to make you aware, if you are not already, that issues exist and if you have tried anything on your end to rectify them, it has not worked for some. I am at my wit's end here, I do not know what else to do to try to solve these issues other than clear cache and history, restart Firefox, so on and so forth. *sigh* I'm seriously thinking about going back to IE, and you have no idea how much that really ticks me off; I think, out of all of this, even all my wasted time, that's what upsets me the most.

    Issues of this sort are, unfortunately, more common and the we'd like them to be. However, they tend not to be cause by Firefox itself, but rather by software that is running either inside or alongside it, such as add-ons or firewalls. Since these issues have a broad span of possible causes, you need to diagnose your problems before fixing them. Follow these instructions ''to the line'', as they'll probably help you diagnose and fix the problems you're having.
    #run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe-mode] to disable all extensions, themes and plugins. If this fixes your problem, be it with RAM or CPU usage, then you know it's a problem with add-ons (plugins, themes or extensions). Proceed to number 2. If safe-mode doesn't fix your problem, then read bellow, after this list;
    #update all extensions (go into ''Tools > Add-ons > Extensions > Find Updates''), themes and plugins (see [https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ this page] in your Firefox. If this doesn't solve the issues, proceed to the following number;
    #disable all extensions, themes and plugins in your Firefox (not running safe-mode). This is temporary and for diagnostic purposes only. Being certain that, as in safe-mode, the problems you're having have gone away, enable one plugin at a time. You should be certain that you actually want that plugin to be enabled. It's best to keep the overall number of enabled plugins as low as possible. When you encounter problems, you know you've found a problematic plugin, so disable it for good. Keep enabling all plugins (except problematic ones) until you've gone through them all. If you need support for a problematic plugin, you need to contact its author for support;
    #enable one extension at a time. Again, be certain that you actually want that extension to be enabled. As with plguins, it's best to keep the overall number of enabled extensions as low as possible. Also, try the theme you want to have installed so see if that is what's causing the problem. When you encounter problems, you know you've found a problematic extension/theme, so disable it for good. Keep enabling all your extensions (except problematic ones) until you've gone through them all. Just the same as with plugins, if you need support for a problematic extension/plugin, you need to contact its author;
    #if you've followed my instructions above, you're done! You've fixed your problems with problematic add-ons. If you want to keep using those problematic add-ons, please contant their authors for support.
    Ok, now... ''If'' disabling all extensions and plugins through safe-mode didn't work to fix your problems (or, in other words, if you've just read number 1 on the list above and come straight here), then you have different issue. The most likely scenario is that you have a third party software running on your computer that is messing with Firefox. Detecting which program it is may be tricky, but the following list should help you. Make sure you follow it carefully. Don't forget to answer the question on the last point, if nothing else helps.
    #try reinstalling Firefox. No data will be lost. You can get the latest version (for free, as always) at [http://www.getfirefox.com/ getfirefox.com]. Make sure you [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Uninstalling+Firefox uninstall Firefox] prior to reinstalling it. For help installing Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Installing+Firefox this support article]. If that doesn't fix the problem, proceed;
    #do a virus/malware check on your computer. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Is+my+Firefox+problem+a+result+of+malware?s=malware&as=s this support article] for help on this point. ''This is a very important step'', so please pay attention to it. If your problem is not due to viruses/malware, proceed;
    #disable all software running in the background that you don't want to have running in the background (in Windows operating systems, this is done by pressing WINDOWS+R in your keyboard, typing ''msconfig'' and pressing Enter; now, under the ''Startup'' tab, you can uncheck the software you don't want, and reboot your system for changes to take effect; if you're unsure of what software you want running, ask someone with more experience). If this doesn't fix your issues with Firefox, proceed;
    #check if your firewall/antivirus/security suite is conflicting in any way with Firefox's normal behavior. Check for enabled functions/features that you don't want and/or may be causing problems with Firefox. You'll find that these features are most likely tied to Internet Security features, such as link scanners or URL checkers and the like. If you're not sure they are conflicting with Firefox, simply try to disable them temporarily to see whether or not that's true. If this doesn't solve the issues, proceed to the following number;
    #check your operating system security options, mainly advanced options that are not configured by default. While it's very unlikely that this may be the cause of the problem, it's remotely possible. If this doesn't work, proceed to the following point;
    #update your modem/router software. There have been some reports that some modem/router software may cause Firefox and other browsers to loose performance and/or stability. If updating doesn't fix your issue, try other versions of the software, if possible. If you need support with this, contact your modem/router manufacturer. If this doesn't help, proceed;
    #if you are using a Windows operating system, clean up your OS registry using appropriate software. There have been reports that badly maintained Windows Registries may case problems with Firefox. If this doesn't help, see the following point;
    #please try creating a new temporary Firefox profile ([http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles managing profiles]) and see if the issues persist. Please report the results, so we can help you further.

  • Using latest version of fireFox to access Think Central, pages will not load and they say that this is a security issue with FireFox?

    Teachers in our district are supposed to use www.thinkcentral.com with FireFox.
    Some have no problem accessing the lesson plans.
    Most when they login click on a lesson plan and an icon shows up that says loading but never does.
    If you reboot the computer and login you can open a page once but not a second time and no other lessons will open.
    Think Central support says this is a security issue with Firefox.
    I have updated FireFox, all the Adobe, Reader, Flash, Air and Shockwave. As well as Java.
    I have allowed the pop ups to the think Central web site.
    Any help would be appreciated

    Are there any notification icons on the left end of the address bar? If so, please click them to see whether they related to security issues (such as blocked content - shield icon: [[How does content that isn't secure affect my safety?]]) or a plugin requiring permission (Lego-like icon).
    Does Think Central have any help pages about this issue? Without an account, it is difficult to explore the issue first-hand.

    Hi Drbobdog, there shouldn't be a compatibility with Android OS 2.2.3. There may be a compatability with the device itself.
    Here are the system requirements:

    (also seen here as well : http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/platforms/ )

    I was having issues with firefox so I upgraded to firefox 4. I am connected to the internet but when I open firefox or even internet explorer it says Unable to connect problem loading page. Nothing will pull up!!!

    I don't know if you are still having the issue but if you are have you contacted your ISP? It sounds to me like it's more of a connectivity issue than a browser problem. I've dealt with similar things several times and in both cases it was something with the modem or an ISP setting.
    I'm also wondering if it could be a Wi-Fi issue. Can you log in to your router? (It varies by brand but you would go to a site such as http://192.168.10.1. That is for Trendnet. The information for yours should be in the documentation that came with it.)
    You should be able to get the router log in page to come up even if you can't connect to any websites. (Provided the network is set up correctly.)
    I also would double check your connection settings (if you're connecting over Wi-Fi) or your ethernet connection. (If you're connected directly to the modem and router.)
    Hopefully one of these suggestions will be helpful.

  • Workspace login issue with Firefox

    Hi all,
    I have run across an issue where the cursor for logging into Workspace does not appear in Firefox when coming from a redirection link in a Task email.
    The scenario is as follows: We have a long-lived process that emails a user when a task is assigned to them to log into Workspace. The email contains a link for the user to click on which will open up a browser window to the Workspace login screen. If the user's browser default is Firefox, the browser window will open but the cursor for entering User ID and Password is not immediately available. You can click on the User ID box and it gets highlighted, but there is no cursor available. I can get the cursor to appear if I take the focus away from the login boxes. For example, I click into the address bar, then click back into the User ID box or if I minimize the browser window then restore the browser and click into the User ID box. This would be counter-intuitive to the user who is expecting the cursor to be available when the browser opens up for them.
    Has anyone else run into this issue? Is this a known Firefox or Adobe issue that has a fix? I've update to the latest Firefox version and Flash, but still have this issue. There are no problems with IE opening up from the link in the email and the cursor is always available. I don't want to have to force users to use IE as their default browser because of this issue with Firefox. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    It sounds like a issue with FireFox and Workspace.
    LiveCycle Workspace 9.0 - End User Issues
    ** New for LiveCycle ES2 SP1 ** Problem logging into Workspace 9.0 using Firefox 3.6.x in Windows
    When you log into Workspace 9.0 using the Firefox 3.6.x web browser in Windows, you are unable to enter text in the User ID or Password fields. The current workaround is to select another window (or empty area on the desktop), reselect the web browser to reset the focus, and then enter text in the User ID or Password fields.
    You can see it in the release notes at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/releasenotes.html#EndUserIssues.

  • Javascript issue with Firefox 4

    Hello,
    I am facing a strange issue with my APEX application, developed using APEX 3.0.
    One of the pages has a "Select List" item (with static list values). There are also 2 "Date Picker" fields, showing start and end dates.
    Whenever an item is selected from the "Select List" item (for e.g. "Yesterday"/"Last Month" etc.),
    i) the 2 "Date picker" fields are automatically populated &
    ii) the page is submitted to refresh the page contents.
    This is achieved by defining value for "HTML Form Element Attributes" as
    onChange="setRange(this.value, document.getElementById('START_DATE'), document.getElementById('END_DATE'));doSubmit('date_change')"Now, this works as expected on all browsers, except FireFox version 4 (it also works on Firefox 3).
    On Firefox 4,
    a) the value of "Select List" item is populated in "Start Date" item and
    b) the value of "Start Date" item is populated in "End Date" item and
    c) the value of "Select List" is reset to its default value.
    Now, "setRange" is a javascript function and works as expected when I remove the call to "doSubmit" above. But the page submission appears to result in the above issue.
    Any idea how I can debug/resolve this?
    p.s. Let me know if you need more details.

    I am seeing some similar weirdness in manually created tabular forms using apex 3.2 and 4.01. I have an order form where the f01 .. f09 items get saved in a collection when the user hits the next button (collection is truncated then rebuilt using ...add_member). If they go back to the tabular form with the previous button the quantity entered for a particular row in the form gets moved down to the next row. You can hit next and previous and it will keep on happening. Eventually the quantity entered will cycle through all the html rows and back to the top. It does not happen with IE 8, FF 3.6 or Chrome. It is like the fXX items are not properly sequenced in the html form. I have spend hours trying to figure this out to no avail. The only variable is FF 4. I've tried 5 different themes. No luck.

  • PHP email form - issue with who it's from

    Hi,
    I've got a referral page on my site where the user puts in their details and a friends details and the form fires off a email to the friend. The form is in HTML and posts it to a PHP file. The problem is I get in the email for who it's from:

    I don't want the

    I've also got a feedback form thing too, the script above wouldn't work for it I guess as it's protecting against different thing but what's the best way to protect the feedback form? I've heard of a honeypot thing where create hidden form field.

  • Photo stream "public website" in Internet Explorer - photo thumbnail's are gray, individual photo view is fine. Tested from various computers. No issue with Firefox, Safari or Chrome.

    Dear All,
    Recently I have started to use Photo Stream available from iCloud on iPhone device. I have made “test” photo stream with several photos in and set to “public website” in order to share photos with my relatives.
    The issue is with Internet Explorer where list of photos (thumbnails) are shown in gray color. I can view photo one by one and slideshow also works fine.
    On other computers IE behaves the same way.

    No issue with photo list in thumbnails using Safari, Chrome or Firefox.
    Can someone help on this issue?
    It is very convenient to share photos via photo stream, but most of viewers by default has IE and many of them don’t have iCould account or apple device.
    Kind regards,

    Dear safari rss
    Indeed, you are right, I have updated IE to version 10 and no issue with page view.
    Solution woud be to update IE to version 10 (I have not tested IE9).
    However users using Windows XP can have highest IE version 8. IE9 or IE10 is not suported in XP.
    Unfortunatelly there are still many windows XP at my friends circle.
    Thank you,
    Best regards
