i did not get the option FlashIsland under (RootElement ->Replace with->) option. i saw in some posts that NW711 CE supports Flash Islands, do i need to add any plugins for that ?

What can I do and disable for my previous cartridges with protection in a new replacement printer?

Hi, my previous printer 7610 wasn't in working and I had called the customers service to request a replacement and I just get my replacement printer 7612 yesterday . I would like to using back my previous cartridges whch still have 3/4 , what can I do right now to solve the previous protection for the cartridges? It's still new, somemore there are 4 slots with a rarely use. Should I call the customer service again to get a replacement for these?

Once the cartridges have been marked as "protected" they cannot be used in another printer. I do not think there is any way to disable this once the cartridges have been marked. I suggest you call HP and see if they can offer a replacement cartridge.

What can be the Technical Design preparation for the below Functional Design Points!
1. Search table Z100
Select all records where
Status (Z100-ZSTATUS) = G
Date (Z100-ZDATE ) = current month minus 1
Total price (Z100-ZTOTPR) => $5000.
Select Z100-MATNR
List Z100-MATNR and ZTOTPR
2. Then, for each MATNR, list all equipment records where
Equipment type (EQUI-EQTYP) = S
List Material (EQUI-MATNR)
WBS (EQBS-PS_PSP_PNR)
UID (EQUI-UIINR)
Serial Number (EQUI-SERNR)
3. Then compare the equipment record WBS (EQBS-PS_PSP_PNR) to the Contract Line Item WBS (VBAP-PS_PSP_PNR)
From VBAP, select the Sales Document (VBAP-VBELN) and Contract Line Item (VBAP-POSNR)
4. Then compare the Sales Document on VBAP (VBAP-VBELN) to the Sales Document on VBAK (VBAK-VBELN).
From VBAK, select the UID indicator (VBAK-UID) and Contract Number (VBAK-BSTNK).
5. If VBAK-UID is initial, go no further. No entry is required to the table.
If VBAK-UID is not initial;
Create 3 new rows on table Z200
6. Select the UID number EQUI-UIINR
If no record exists in table with UID number, create three new rows in table Z200 populate fields per the following table mapping. The table mapping shows default values, or sources in SAP, and parameters if needed. 
Can anybody tell me what is the technical design we can write for above finctional design.

Hi,
The functional design is very detailed and has covered almost the technical part as well. I dont think you need to add anything more. If you need to add anything then it would probably be the Selects statements. But i dont think they are required.
But once you collect the data in internal table, what should be done. Should it be sent to smartform/script or a report output should be displayed. Or are any tables to be updated.If so, then specify the same.

Hello,
Digging a bit in the Oracle 8i docs, I've found why the java
performance is so low in the database VM. Because there is no
support for user native code from Java yet, and it will be
implmented in a subsequent release. So every program you write
is interpreted only.
So the only advantage you can get from Oracle 8i for the
moment is using their nativized libraries (which are DLL's for
the JDK API)

I have a table with fields like this:
ID DESC PARENT
01 ABC 02
02 ABC1 01
03 ABC2 01
04 ABC4 02
In the above table PARENT column refers to ID column , but actually in SQL query i want to have ID, DESC , and PARENTDESC (i.e., desc value of the corresponding ID)
Actual output that i need is
select ID , DESC , ?? from table where ID=someValue . Now if i provide ID=01 then output should be like this:
ID DESC PARDESC
01 ABC ABC1
Can anyone help what can be the required sql query ?

API - method for Webdynpro Java iview functionality of Print

I know.. you would love to post me with n different blogs and forums discussion about how to print from webdynpro java application.
But lets read before what i am looking for..
There is standard "Print" function available on webdynpro for java iview.. and layout and all its just fine for us. though we want to trigger this event from a screen button. as going to iview properties is very user friendly.
I was looking for some iview api which can help me.. We are on NW 7.01 SP6 at the moment. And this is for standard ESS applications.

You can write Java program for printing. Call the java class from screen (button or Url). Also you can write the content to XMl file.open the xml file in action. so that u will get print preview and print option.

How many connection opened for webdynpro java

I have 2 webdynpro java application.The applications sharing the same backend function module.Could anyone tell me
How many connection will be established when the same user wants to open 2 different application but these 2 application shares the same function module.

Hi,
In webdybnpro ,each Model in an Application utilizes a seperate Connection.If u create JCO connection pool for the User then while connecting to backend
1)The JCO connection pool Manager will open a new connection pool and opens the first connection.
The next available connection from the pool is allocated to the model object.
2)The model object is now able to invoke the required functionality in the ABAP system.
3) When the connection is no longer required by the application, it is returned to the pool.
4) The connection remains logged on to the backend system until either the next application
request is received, or the connection timeout is reached.
5) If no application requests arrive before the timeout is reached, the connection is flagged
for closure.
Note:-If an Application contains 2 models which are connecting to same ABAP system then second Model can be told to share the same JCo connection used by First model This is done by calling its setConnectionProvider() method.

Creating Packages and Namespace for Webdynpro Java applications in NWDS

Hi Experts,
I am working on a stand alone application and using NWDS for the same. This application consist of some Webdynpro Java apps, Dictionary perspective DC's and BPM applications.
I need to create a package and name space for all the applications. I have read some documents on creating SC in SLD and using it in NWDI. But since I am working on NWDS i am not able to see the SC.
May be I am not following a correct procedure. Can some one provide a basic document or can tell me steps in short that i need to follow, for Name space and package creation and how to use them in NWDS.
I am working on CE7.1 ehp1.

Following are the steps for transporting the content from DEV to QA
1. Check in the activity into DTR and activate it. Once it is activated successfully it will show green
2. Now go to transport view and release the activity by drilling down in waiting... node.
3. Once the activity is released it becomes available in the Consolidation tab of CMS.
4. Import the activity in consolidation tab
5. Assemble the components in the Assembly tab.
Once you assemble an .SCA file is created in \usr\<SID>\trans\CMS
6. Copy this file manually and deploy it using SDM in QA.

Can we access PI tables from WebDynpro Java via PI 7.1?

Is it possible to fetch PI Tables (to display monitoring and alerts as dashboard on portal) from Java Stack. I got some javadocs API SAP Netweaver for PI 7.1 but i don't know how far it can help me in solving my purpose of fetching and displaying the PI monitoring data on Portal.

Hi Neha,
You can access PI tables from Webdynpro Java application using RFC or Webservices. Create RFC or Webservices which will fetch data from the PI tables.Create the required JCO's and the Webdynpro java application which uses the Adaptive RFC model or Adaptive Webservice Model to connect to the ECC system.

Iview Template missing for Webdynpro-Java application

Hi All,
I wanted to create an iview out of my webdynpro component . I followed
the steps given in the following document ---
