What can be done about emails not displaying once downloaded?

When I download email on iPad, it shows up in the left hand column along with the first line but on the page to the right, the content of the email does not show up. Address info does, but below that there is only a blank page. Anything I could do to fix? Thank you!

Quit the Mail app then reset your iPad.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Thanks for the suggestion, the next step was to call Apple, who gave me a claim number, which I discovered you must have to get anything done with them. They refered me to a Apple store or repair center, after some reseach took it to the Computer Store in Mobile, Alabama and they were excellent. They took pictures of the screen with bug submitted it to Apple who denied the claim but they kept kicking it up to the next level and finally Apple agreed to sent new cover. The Computer Store had the cover the next day, they changed it out and now I am bug free. If your in the area of Mobile Alabama you can feel good about getting help from the Computer Store. For the two folks that responded to my note, Thank You, good comments and good advice.

Hi i have an itouch 4th gen the problem is that the front cover has started to come away, looks like the glue is drying up, ive got older ones and they are still working fine. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what can be done about this. Thanks

What can be done about this outrageous bill??!

Ok, here's some back story; My girlfriend and I were on the same plan for about a year or so. Here recently we broke up and she continued on the plan for about another month while we were working out some money issues. During that time (not having any Wifi at her house) she constantly watched shows and such on her phone, which sky rocketed the phone bill into it's 70th overage allowance!!! Her line ended up using a total of 80 gigs while mine only used about 5, which is normal. I kicked her off immediately and had her accept responsibility for her own line. I know, I should of done it earlier, but it was a different situation then. Lesson learned I guess.
When that happened, it obviously started a fresh new plan for her and I was stuck with a $1,400 bill! I asked Verizon (customer reps, hadn't spoken to any "supervisors" yet) if there was anything that could be done as far as her taking responsibility for her part of the bill. The obvious answer was no, simply because I'm the account owner and it's my responsibility, which I think is absolutely ridiculous! I'm not the one sitting her ringing up a bill that high. She did it on her line, it's her responsibility! That should follow her over to her account, and she should be liable for paying for the charges she rung up! That would be fair, right?? The way they have it set up now isn't in any way, shape or form fair. When asking about how much time I'd have to pay it, I was told they could only push it out a couple of days. I don't make anywhere near that much in such a short time, let alone with having other bills to pay and everything, and they expect you to just cough it over that quick!
I'm on here to see if there's anything at all that can be done about this stupidly high bill, or if any Verizon associates here might be able to help. If not, I'll take my number and go to another carrier. This is ridiculous and I'm not at all happy!

As the account owner, you are personally responsible for all charges on your account. Period.
If you feel that another person is responsible for the charges, then Small Claims Court would be the avenue for you to explore.
You might want to contact Verizon Financial Services and set up payment arrangements for the amount you owe. There might be more that they can do to schedule a series of payments.

I have seen numerous discussions as to jetpack data consumption. My new jetpack is adding up way too much data usage. What can be done about this?

There is a common concern that many wireless users share on this subject. Unfortunately VZW holds all the cards when it comes to the actual details on what happened resulting with your final billing statement.
The only thing we as consumers can do is try to setup monitors on our own and funnel our internet traffic through those devices/applications. With a monitor in place there is a better chance that you can identify leaks and stop them before it makes it to your bill.
Keep in mind that data usage has nothing to do with what you are intentionally doing on the internet. Data usage relates to what is actually happening behind the scenes. If you, your neighbor, your dog or your toaster is online and consuming internet through your VZW device then VZW will hold you accountable for it. Its similar to a hose that you turn on in your yard, a utility company doesn't care who did it, they only care that they sent XYZ gallons of water to your residence. What worked well on your previous provider may not work well on VZW resulting in retries and increased usage for the same actions.
Don't get too hung up on the timestamps that VZW offers you in their alerts or reports. There are all sorts of examples where billing is delayed for various reasons. Use the timestamps as a clue, not as actual evidence that can be relied on during your investigation.

What can I do about an iMovie app I downloaded that has been "loading" for over 30mon now?

Hi all. I'm new to Apple and don't know what to do. I downloaded apples free iMovie app onto my iPhone 5c wig iOS 7.04. Even though that was over 30min ago now, the desktop icon for the app still says that it's "loading". What can I do to delete it? When I click on the loading icon it just pauses it. Latest version of Firefox incompatible with programs used for online academic studies 1) Blackboard and 2) Turnitn. Why does Firefox not know about this given number of students studying online? What can be done about it?

To solve problem I had to downgrade the version of Firefox from latest to an earlier version.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

What can be done about my lack of coverage and service?

I am well inside 4g coverage area and have been in the same house for over 5 years now. In that time our coverage has gone from 3 bars down to 1 bar within the last year and a half or so, and starting a couple days ago our phones think we are in roaming??
Minorly off topic is we have been lied to repeatedly at the local sales store and or corporate more than once, the largest pain being the fiasco in "renewing" my military discount I am eligible for by being a disabled vet. had it for years then we get a mail saying it needs to be renewed, go in to local store and they do the paper work, corp says they didnt get it we have to jump through a bunch more hoops its finally reinstated.
So is this crappy service and lack of coverage tho map shows us more than covered just part of what we pay over a hundred bucks a month for? No way to complain to anyone but to other people with problems? Canceling our account will be a big hurt financially up front but be a little easier on our pocketbook in the long run. (we would have to do local land line phone service which is almost as much and with no features at that, so not much easier)

We have been with them for years, would love for them to care. but I have seen the dwindling support and the removing of power from those who use to be able to help over those years. I challenge any verizon employee to be seen even. I cant even find an e mail address or any other way to contact verizon other than to buy more from them. This is their "provided customer service" so thought I would use it as a last effort as I know of nothing else to do. I was hoping someone out there had some luck somehow and could give some advice or one of those employees I have seen on here rarely in the past might be able to help or something.

What can be done about slowness?

There have been numerous posts about the overall slowness and bugginess of iPhoto 5. I'm looking for answers.
On my 1 ghz 512 ram 60 gb hd 12' iBook, I almost constantly have a beach ball in iPhoto. The library takes FOREVER to load and I only have around 2,000 photos. I can't imagine how absolutely tortrous this program would be with 10,000 photos. Sure Steve Jobs can have 25,000 running on his souped up G5, but what about the common citizen? (And I've heard G5 owners complain about iPhoto anyway).
To me, it is the most ineffective portion of iLife. It would be so cool if it could simply and efficiently carry out its many uses. Is there anything I can do to speed this application up?

Wow! That is big. I shouldn't think it was the Windows jpgs. All that's in that library.iphoto file are the file names, album names, roll names, keywords, etc. Give a look at yours with a text editor
Thanks Old Toad. I can't really see how it can be the dates on the Windows jpg either, but I'm really getting desperate for a solution to iPhoto 5. I've looked at the (many) Library.iPhoto files I've generated. The structure seems soemwhat different between different ones, but since they contain more than just readable text, I haven't spotted any critical differences between them.
Have you tried rebuilding the library?
I've rebuilt the library numerous times. Likewise I've rebuilt the Thumbnails.
If all else fails try creating a new library and import the photos from the old one.
I've converted the photos from working iPhoto 4 Libraries, several times. I've made brand new iPhoto 5 Libraries, and imported the photos from my separate backup of the original photos. Regardless of how I do it, my Library.iPhoto size rapidly goes to several hundred megabytes, despite the import photo method not having any roll, album, keywords or comments at all. The difference is only a few percent at most. That is why I am wondering about the nature of the photos themselves.
It is particularly annoying that Cartoon Life can grab the same thumbnails from the same iPhoto Library and open them pretty much instantly (does it as it loads, and uses whatever your most recently used library is).
I'm now trying to close the latest iteration of the Library. It took 7 minutes to close. Usual 95% of CPU mostly system, plus heavy disk action and large VM, and grabbing all physical memory.
I'm still trying to find another collection of photos from different cameras to use for a test library. Only have another gigabyte of photos on hand so far. Hmm, maybe I can find a DVD full of photos online somewhere.
One interesting result. I mentioned I was using a different test library of 1700 photos, and the 500MB of photos gave me a 5.2MB Library.iPhoto file. It turned out that when I opened Comic Life after using that, none of the thumbnails showed (although iPhoto was fine on all sizes). I rebuilt the Thumbnails, so Comic Life could see the thumbnails. However Library.iPhoto aactually fell in size to 3.2MB. I'm not sure what to make of that. I suspect iPhoto 5 is making some files for compatibility reasons with third party programs. Otherwise how could iPhoto show thumbnails that Cartoon Life couldn't find? Cartoon Life found the Titles of the photos.
