What do I do if apple recalled my iPod Nano but never sent back the replacement Nano?

They sent me the empty box just fine, but now they say the can't send me the replacement cause I don't live in the UK.
If I can't get service in israel from apple, why did I get an empty?!
Tottaly unreliable. - I sent my iPod six months ago...lucky they didn't steal, I mean recalled my iPhone.
I won't buy apple gadgets anymore. Hope Samsung service is better.
Goodbye Nano, it was fun while it lasted...I now replaced you with ebay goodies - 8GB MP3 cost me less then 10$... I bought two.

Sync and manually manage are two entirely different things. You either sync or manually manage.
Manually manage is drag and drop.
Sync is when you select what you want and then sync.

Of particular use in your case:
What should I do if I don't remember the answers to my Apple ID security questions?
Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.
If you are confident you can't remember them, try one of the following:
If you have three security questions and a rescue email address
sign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers.
If you have one security question and you know your Apple ID passwordsign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to reset your security question.
If you have one security question, but don't remember your Apple ID password
contact Apple Support for assistance. Learn more about creating a temporary support PIN to help Apple confirm your identity when you contact Apple Support.

If you're trying to load many simultaneous applications, and they all say "waiting", try clicking all of them which will put them into the "paused" state. Then click one at a time, let that one finish installing, then click the next.

What you'll want to do is connect the iPod to iTunes library and restore it to factory settings. This process wipes all content from the device, resets all settings back to their defaults, and loads a fresh copy of the iPod's software onto the device.
Restoring iPod to factory settings
When the restore has finished, don't let it sync with your iTunes library again.

Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

Turn the Phone Off...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 10 - 15 Seconds...

Cant get back purchases. Apple ID acts as new but it has been the same email since the beginning. What to do?

So recently i realised that my ID acts like new. It cannot get back(restore) old purchases, not even inapp purchases.
I checked my emails and exatly a year ago i got an email from apple which said"welcome to itunes store" and that newbie blah blah like i just registered, but i have the receits from earlier on the same email adresse. Please help me!

On your iPhone delete the Apple ID you are using (As it is linked to your husband's iPhone)
On the Mac in the Finder use the Go Menu whilst holding down the ALT key.
Select the Library that appears.
Navigate to the Preferences.
Find the item com.apple.ids.service.com.apple.madrid.plist
Drag it to the trash.
Restart the Messages app.
It will want you to re-enter an Apple ID.
Get your own Apple ID as Eric says.
Enter this on the Mac and the iPhone.
Sharing an Apple ID is only really good for iTunes and syncing things through iCloud.
FaceTime and the iMessages account should really have their own.
