I was being helped by a linksys technical supporter and she told me to go online and type something in like 'about:linksys' or something like that that shows the status of my router. What do I need to type in my address bar to get that?

I have buttons on my Bookmarks bar for any site that I frequently visit. How do I prevent ANYTHING from coming up when I type in the address bar? I found it a long time ago but I never changed it. Now I can't figure out how to get back there.

You can set set the location bar autocomplete to "Nothing":

I, too, love everything about my phone. The other day I tried to crash my Z10 by running multiple apps and having videos running in the background. Do you think my Z10 showed any signs of slowing down? Nothing doing! It ran as smooth as silk. I'm very impressed.

Good afternoon, after accidentally installing snapdo, we cannot type in the address bar or search bar. I have managed to remove snapdo now from the laptop. Exported my bookmarks, reset firefox, nothing changed - still not working. Uninstalled firefox, reinstalled, still not working.

Sorry about your issues with Firefox! You may want to try the Firefox Reset feature. Unlike reinstalling Firefox, this method actually tries to fix issues in your personal profile (where bookmarks and other settings are stored). Error 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014: These errors may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow the steps in this article. Also attempt to restore while connected with a known-good 30-pin Dock Connector cable, computer, and network to isolate this issue to the device. The MAC address being missing or the IMEI being the default value (00 499901 064000 0) can also confirm a hardware issue.

just purchased my new iphone 5 64gb- but does me no good if I cant back up pictures or add my music frm my computer even using icloud. So just called apple for the second time about this issue. First time the tech i got on the phone i think was clue less about the problem. She recommended i buy a cd to upgrade my system and that would fix the problem and my os would be functional with iP5 , iTunes etc...
So i gave her my computer serial and required info so she could look up my system and make sure it would work. I was sold a cd convinced it would work after all apple care techs should know what they are doing right!?
Got the cd in the mail pop it in and nothing, error window saying need intel processor to install this cd contents ***! Yea thats what said today after the second call to apple. I did get another hint of hope from the tech i got on the phone today tho. He really seemed to know his stuff.., so now i fond out apple can replace your processor on certain model computers FOR FREE just pay the parts and you are ready togo with snow leopard and " anything apple throws at your computer" . Going to try this also and will post results soon for all you that may have some hope left...

When I open up a new tab, why can't I type in the address bar?

I downloaded Firefox 4.0 recently and every time I open a new tab, I am not able to type in the address bar. I have to open up multiple pages in my task bar rather than having them tabbed in one browser. This was happening to me when I was using the beta version also.

I'm hoping that that's not the case. My only add-ons are Adobe Acrobat 9.0.0332, Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.22.4, Java Platform SE 6 U22, and Shockwave Flash 100.2.153.1. Which is stuff that I need in order to do most things on the net.

It was suggested I move this question to IPhoto or IMovie which I did.
Well moving to a different discussion group did not provide an answer to this question either. But what I finally did was import one batch of photos and videos into IPhoto for a given day at a time. Working with these I could change the date and times in order to get them in the original sequench taken. Then I would create an album with that batch. These would all be on the same day (IMove was closed for this phase). Then I would open IMovie, generate the thumbnails for that album, and select the album I had created. This was necessary because the importing process in IPhoto was using incorrect dates for my video so it was a real struggle finding them in IMove until I developed this approach.
I believe that this whole process was so screwy because I was importing from an external hard drive not a camera. I had these photos on a PC and did not have the original cameras to use to import directly which I am fairly sure would have made this easier!

Hi, I had the same problem today and managed to resolve it without using glue or any intrusive / risky techniques.
Here's how I did it.
1) take an ordinary pin / needle. Try and get one with a thin sharp tip but a strong, non bendy shaft.
2) Place the tip of the needle on the exposed plastic of the broken plug, just to the side of the metal core.
3) Gently tap the end of the needle into the plastic so that the tip goes in about 1mm. I used a handle of a teaspoon to tap it.
4) Now the needle is in the plastic you can get some purchase on the offending plug. Just push the needle slightly to the side so the tip is at an angle, flick up and voila ! The plug tip pops out.
It worked first time for me and caused no damage whatsoever!

That was perfectly clear and was one of the things I considered that you meant the first time.
However it is the oddest thing I have heard about an iChat Status and Capabilities I have heard of in a long time.
It may be possible to create this effect with AppleScript.
If you go to the iChat Preferences > Alerts can you change the top item to Buddy Becomes Available ?
I have ticked the AppleScript Box but then not selected any AppleScript in the picture above.
Does yours say anything at that point ?
(I tried changing my iChat 4 version to Auto Decline but it did not effect the Video icons of Buddies.)
I am wondering if you have an additional Script listed/Available there ? (i.e Not one of the Apple standard ones)
My Pic shows the Chax Add-on Preference icon.

It can have additional options in that it can be set to Auto Accept from Certain Buddies.
Now my version for my iChat does not effect the Video Status icon for Available Buddies but I am wondering if you are running Chax for iChat 5 on iChat 6 and seeing some weirdness.
Does your own Video Icon disappear when you change from Away to Available ?
I would be hard pressed to think of other ways that this could be achieved, whether Inside or outside of iChat.
For that reason I am reluctant to suggest deleting any of the iChat .plists at the moment.
Could you also confirm which iChat version and OS version you are using ?
