What does it mean 10 Gb limit for windows MS SQL server R2 Express
I have a question:
I have just read about the other topic reguarding the 10Gb limit of MS SQL Express.
If I need to manage 1 TB of data Can I use MS SQL Express?
How much data Can I save on my HDD? Is it just 10 Gb?
is it 10 Gb the max address of data that the database can manage?

and what do the numbers mean when i click other...?The group is the Unix group to which the file belongs. Every group has a numeric identifier (the gid) as well as an (alphanumeric) name. The numbers you see when you choose "other" in the drop-down menu which selects the group, are the gid's.
For example, an administrative account obtains administrative permissions by virtue of being a member of the "admin" group. Although the folder /Applications is owned by the user root, it is also owned by the group admin which has been given write, as well as read permission. This write permission is precisely what allows any member of the admin group--that is, any administrator of the machine--to drag applications into /Applications. On my computer, the admin group has gid 80, and so that is what I see as the number next to "admin" under "other".

TD, LN - You guys make great points and I will take you at your word. Normally, I would not hesitate to update. I have a lot at stake here with a large vacation coming up with a great many new pictures anticipated. I don't know enough to understand what is meant by "verifying my library." Please give me some insight there and I will start the upgrade process tonight! Seriously, I have wanted to do this for some time, but have been scared away by reading too many situations on these forums.
TD - you have a good sense of humor. I know all versions eventually need to be left to die away. Support is not eternal. I am sure I missed the announcement that certain versions of iPhoto would no longer offer the ability to conveniently make cards, calendars, books, etc. Like the original poster, I was surprised to learn my version did not offer that functionality only by requesting it and getting denied. Sort of frosted me at the time, as you can tell by my original reply here.
If anyone can help me with the "verifying" question, I'll get off of here and let the original poster have his thread back! -
Windows Installer - SQL Server 2008 Express Errors
I am working with an application that was developed for an XP machine. One of my peers took the old Windows application and using Visual Studio 2010 upgraded the application to work on a Windows 7 machine. We are creating the installer (.exe
and .msi) files within Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, but we are having different issues on different machines that we try to run the setup.exe file on.
On our company computers with Windows 7, the setup.exe file runs and works properly.
On our customers computer with Windows 7, received the following error: "an error occurred attempting to install SQL Server 2008 Express Service Pack 1."
On non-company/non-customer machines, we tried two Windows 7 machines. One machine had no issues and everything installed perfectly and the other received this error: "Component SQL Server 2008 Express has failed to install."
User pressed Yes to reboot the computer.
After the reboot, the setup.exe file was run and there were no more errors. The application was installed properly.
Within the Installer we have four boxes checked under Properties - Prerequisites:
Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (x86 and x64)
Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile (x86 and x64)
SQL Server 2008 Express
Windows Installer 3.1
If anyone can help with why the installer is causing issues on some computers and not on others as well as why the issues by computer are different that would be very helpful!

My HD has been change and I transfered my old computer into my new HD.
When I tried to copy Itunes into the new HD, I couldn't do it. A message said the Itunes helper were functionning at the moment, or something like that.
So I left the version on the new HD and when I finished copying everything, I did a software update. I took the last version of itunes and when I opened it.
The -200 error message appears.. Since then, I deleted itunes , downloaded older version of itunes, and again , the last one, and always the same message..
Can somebody help me, with this please?

If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart. -
I use picasa for my photos..currently there is a question mark imposed over the icon on the dock and it won't open...what does this mean?
Thanks for any help.The icon in the dock is a shortcut to the app itself.....for some reason the icon has lost contact with the app.......go to your Applications folder and drag Picasa back to the dock....a new alias (shortcut) will be created.....

Thanks for this thread. I had the problem too. It was very frustrating because he's overseas and we iMessage a few times per week.
The reason it was broken: the specific contact had changed his AppleID password and had not updated it on his iPhone.
The solution that worked for us:
He reset his AppleID (c.f.: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5624)
He updated the password at iPhone (iOS7) >> Settings >> Messages
He updated the password at iPhone >> Settings >> FaceTime
I reset my network settings: my iPhone (iOS7) >> Settings >> General >> Reset >> Reset Network Settings
He didn't have to reset his network settings, and neither of us powered our iPhones off/on. -

There are normally a couple of reasons you would hear that particular message.
1.If the announcement is received when calling one specific number the issue is with that device's service provider. They would need to contact their provider and do an investigation.
2. If the announcement is received when ANY number is called the issue is with the Verizon Wireless network. At that time, we we need to open a remedy ticket (which reports it to our engineers to investigate further).

Just upgraded to latest iTunes for Windows. Rebooted the PC as required after the update. When I start iTunes I get a popup message saying "An unknown error occured (-42110)."

I have a Nikon D600 and D800 and I shoot everything in Raw. I use Photoshop Elements 9 for processing but I have been unable to convert any RAW files to open in PSE. Says unable to parse the file. What does this mean and how do I fix it?
Since pse 9 can only use up to camera raw 6.5 and the d600 needs at least 7.3 and the d800 needs at least 6.7, you can use the
8.6 adobe dng converter to convert those files to dng copies, which then pse 9 should open.
