What does it mean( IPOD ERROR MESSAGE)????????

I just bought a 60g Ipod today and i plug it into the usb and all it comes up with is DO NOT DISCONNECT, (its all charged now) and still saying the same thing, But I unplug it and its all normal, havent been able to down load any songs yet, hope its not a dud, any help would be great, Thanks

If you have your iPod set to transfer your music manually, then that “do not disconnect” message will continue to be displayed on your iPod until you manually eject it.
You can do this by clicking on the little eject icon next to the iPod listing in the source window of iTunes, or right click on it and select “eject”. There is also an iPod 'eject' icon in the lower right hand corner of iTunes. Another way would be to use the “safely remove hardware” icon in the system tray next to the clock (looks like a grey rectangle with a green arrow above it). Click on this then select your iPod. Or through Windows, select start/my computer, right click on the iPod, select eject. With a Mac, drag the iPod into the trash.
If you have your iPod set to automatically sync with iTunes, right click on the iPod in iTunes, select options and if you have a check mark in the box marked “enable disk use”, remove it and your iPod should automatically disconnect after it’s finished transferring music.

  • What does "File not readable" error message mean?

I am trying to copy/paste art from a supposed "corrupt" file into a brand new document.  When I paste, I get this particular error message: File not readable.  What, exactly, does this mean?

    Amanda,
It is nice to know that it works now. Thank you for letting us know.
Actually, the solution was identical to this part of the list in post #3:
    3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup;
I ruled that out because in post #2 you wrote
I have tried EVERYTHING ... Dumped the preferences....
Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift is the standard way of deleting = resetting = dumping the basic preferences so I was convinced you had done that already (hence my suggestion to start with 4 and skip 1) - 3)).
    Actually, when you
    4) Move the folder with Illy closed;
as suggested in post # 3, you move all the preferences to another place so that they are reset to the defaults when you open Illy next time; this procedure is more thorough (and therefore capable of solving more issues) and reversible so you can get the preferences back if it does not help.
I presume you did not try 4).

  • What does this mean? Server Message: Unable to load server - system error code: 0x80080005, CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE: Server execution failed.

This is the error that we get when we run the Tag File.
ERROR 04/16/2004 02:26:15 PM Server ERROR from Server: National Instruments.OPCLookoutDrivers. Status: -196608, Server Message: Unable to load server - system error code: 0x80080005, CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE: Server execution failed.
    What does it all mean?

    ACRE,
this looks like the Industrial Automation OPC Server (Lookout OPC) is not correctly installed or configured and therefore the DSC Tag Engine - as OPC client - cannot launch the OPC server correctly.
Two checks I have in mind.
    - Installation check: Check if the Industrial Automation Server is installed and configured correctly and that you will have a .lpd file as default. Could it be that the .lpd file is corrupted? BTW - what kind of protocol are you using and did you configure aliases for the LPD object? A good resource on checking the configuration might be the online help of Industrial Automation Server (Lookout Protocol Drivers) or the link penDocument>How Do I Configure My Devices with Lookout Protocol Drivers?
    - Access rights, COM/DCOM problems: Can you launch the OPC Server with another OPC client? Is your OPC server running locally? If you don't know how to check on this I found a good KB Tools for Troubleshooting OPC Interface Problems E.g. can you access it with Server Explorer?
Last question... did you encounter this problem recently while it was working before? What changes have been done on your system?
Let us know if you have some questions and I hope some of the links help you further troubleshooting this issue.

In the Message Logs, for the same timestamp I get the following:
[ERROR] apf_utils.c 193: Missing Supported Rate.
Does this mean the client trying to associate does not support all the WiSM radio mandatory data rates? If so, is there a way of identifying which rate is not being supported?

  • What does the corrupted content error message mean when FireFox 7.0.1 tries to open a web page?

Corrupted Content Error. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Ever since FireFox updated to 7.0.1 this error occurs.
Signing out of Hotmail generates that message I mentioned: Corrupted Content Error. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Ever since FireFox updated to 7.0.1 this error occurs. How do I stop it? Now it appears to be doing it across multiple websites. The TRY AGAIN button always comes up when initially trying to load a webpage - very frustrating.

You can get a "Corrupted Content Error" error if there are multiple location redirects send via the HTTP response headers or other entries may be wrong.

  • WHAT DOES THIS HOT SYNC ERROR MESSAGE MEAN AND HOW CAN I FIX THE PROBLEM??

"THE HOT SYNC OPERATION WAS INTERRUPTED.  SOME OF YOUR DATA WAS NOT BACKED UP."
"(ERROR:  EASNotify.dll failed a confirmation query and cancelled the sync operation).
HotSync Error:  An application cancelled synchronization or failed to respond to a HotSync notification.  Please ensure that you are not currently editing data using applications such as Palm OS Desktop of Install Tool.  (8009)"
I have spent hours upon hours trying to figure out what is wrong and why I cannot complete a hot sync with my computer.  I have done a hard reset and reinstalled the palm desktop software numerous times with no luck.  I bought a book on the palm.  No mention in the book about this particular problem.
Can anyone out there help me with this problem???  I would be forever grateful!!

To check which applications are installed on your palm, you can click on the home button on your palm and make sure it says "all" on the top right of your screen. This will show you all the apps installed on your palm. Look through all the applications listed there and see if there is anything extra. You can list them here and I will tell you if there is anything that didnt come with your device when you purchased it.
You will not need the palm cd to reinstall everything again after you do a hard reset because all the info will be backed up on your computer from your sync. You stated that all the information is on your computer after you sync'd so you dont have to worry about losing it. Once you sync again after performing the hard reset, you will be able to get all the info back again on your palm.

  • What does the update download error message "there was an error downloading this update" mean?

Trying to download and install updates to CS5.  Everything looked normal, got the progress bars for downloading and installing the updates.  Then at the very end received message that the update failed to install because there was an error downloading the update. This has happened repeatedly. Just completed a clean install of the OS (Win 8.1) and CS5. Appears the update manager created the required folders. A subfolder for each of the CS5 apps was created in the  AAMupdater folder.  Each of the apps had a subfolder, but contained only a XML file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

do you have any security/firewall programs blocking the adobe updater?
could also try to download the updates directly from the website. Adobe - Premiere Pro Updates

That's a problem writing to the Time Machine drive.
As BDAqua says, verify your internal HD and repair the external, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
If that doesn't help, try the things in the green box of #D2 there.
