What does line through mean?

Hello all.
I am trying to get comfortable with some of the basic architecture of the Dreamweaver interface. Unfortunately this aspect of Dreamweaver is not well covered in the literature and many of the experts will say, "Don't worry about that." Not helpful to the beginner. I like to have confidence and knowledge as I go forward, not ignorance.
For example what about the linethrough which crosses out rules, in some situations, in the properties pane of CSS Designer? The linethrough is accompanied by a tool tip which states (in the case of width), "Width does not apply to your selection because it is not inherited. It is applied to an enclosing tag."
This contradicts what I am actually seeing in the document window.
Help please!

Hi, Nancy
Here is my code. Like I said, pretty simple:
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="UTF-8">
<title>test index</title>
<link href="teststyle.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
</head>
<body>
<div id="container">
  <p>This is my container div - 100 pixels x 100 pixels</p>
</div>
</body>
</html>
Here is my style sheet:
@charset "UTF-8";
#container {
          width: 100px;
          height: 100px;
          background-color: #D5FBCE;
          margin-left: auto;
          margin-right: auto;
Then, if I click in the container div area, "width", "height", "background-color", and "auto" are overstruck and I get that funny tooltip. Why?
To be straight with you, I realize that could ignore this and muddle ahead trying to create a website with Dr4amweaver CC, but isn't this a fair question - to try to understand the behavior of the program I have invested so much time and money and effort into?

  • What does the "S" mean in reference to lenses? EF-S vs EF lens?

    I have both a digital camera, the 60D, and recently acquired an EOS 1N 35mm film camera.  I have bought lenses for my 60D but not the 1N film camera....was told that my 18-55mm lens for my 60D would not be interchangeable with the 1N?  So, EF-S vs EF lens, what is the S and what does it indicate?   What does the "S" mean in reference to lenses?  EF-S vs EF lens?
    Thanks.....I am just getting started in photography and do not know all the different terms....
    James

    In the simlpest of terms think of the S as standing for SMALL sensor. The sensor in crop bodies is much smaller in physical size than the area your film camera needs covering with when the shutter opens. An EF S lens won't allow light to cover the full area in the film or FF body. This allows smaller & cheaper lenses but at the expense of limiting their use.

    What does download all mean on my purchased music from the iTunes Store app?

    Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks only from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
    If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.
    BTW, are these all recent purchases (last 8 weeks or so) or does it affect older tracks also?

    Edit: I just did a little searching through the forum ( which i should have done originally i know, sorry ) and i noticed that my machine scores nowhere near where others do with similar setups.

    benchmarks are great performance measures of your machine.
    especially when you make preformance tweaks to your rig.
    that doesnt mean your score will ever be the same as someone with identical hardware because theres alot of variables like overclocking and software tweaks.
    use the online browser to compare against 1000s of sytems you get a more average read on test scores you will see rigs like yours falling well short of your scores

  • What does invoice reversal mean in Oracle payables

    What does invoice reversal mean in Oracle payables?
    In the AP_invoice_Distributions_All table, there is a column Reversal_Flag. What does this mean to an invoice.
    Thank you

    Hi,
    1) When a reversal is done to a distribution line, it does not create a new invoice. Isnt it? No it does not.
    2) When a line is reversed, the original line Reversal_FLag column is changed to Y and the new column has a Reversal_Flag column as NULL as this is >the new line.
    ( I mean the line which had the mistake, now has a Y flag on Reversal_Flag and the new corrected line has a NULL value). Is this thinking right? Yes, you are.
    3) Lets suppose, Line 1 had a mistake, and it was reversed, and line 2 was created. And then we realized that Line 2 also has a mistake, and >reversed it to Line 3. So what are the statuses of LIne1, Line 2 and Line3 in the Reversal_Flag column in AP_Invoice_Distributions_all table?Line 1=Reversed (Yes)
    Line 2=Reversed (yes)
    Line 3=Null

  • What does "Wi-Fi" Mean?

    My Subject line _is_ my question:  "What does 'Wi-Fi' Mean?"
    I have my own guess:  "Wireless Fidelity".  Synonyms of Fidelity are Truth & Reliability.  [No, I will not discuss Politics!  :-) ]

    The name[edit]
    The term Wi-Fi, commercially used at least as early as August 2000,[17] was coined by a brand-consulting firm called Interbrand Corporation. The Wi-Fi Alliance had hired Interbrand to determine a name that was "a little catchier than 'IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence'".[18][19][20] Phil Belanger, a founding member of the Wi-Fi Alliance who presided over the selection of the name "Wi-Fi," also stated that Interbrand invented Wi-Fi as a play on words with Hi-Fi (high fidelity), and also created the Wi-Fi logo.
    The Wi-Fi Alliance initially used the advertising slogan, "The Standard for Wireless Fidelity",[18] for Wi-Fi but later removed the phrase from their marketing. Despite this, some documents from the Alliance dated 2003 and 2004 still contain the term Wireless Fidelity.[21][22] There was no official statement related to the dropping of the term.
    The yin-yang Wi-Fi logo indicates the certification of a product for interoperability.[21]
    Non-Wi-Fi technologies intended for fixed points such as Motorola Canopy are usually described as fixed wireless. Alternative wireless technologies include mobile phone standards such as 2G, 3G or 4G.

    What does this message mean Charging is not supported with this device?

    You've gotten 2 good answers already, but there's a key assumption in both that you got the message when connecting the iPhone to some other device. If this is the case you can get an adapter in the Apple online store that will allow charging from older devices.
    If, however, this message appears when you are not connected to anything the problem is dirt or moisture in the dock connector at the bottom of the phone. Clean it with a dry toothbrush or air blast.
