What exactly can AXIS Adapter do?

Can someone give me a scenario when only SOAP Adapter is not enough and I will have to deploy AXIS adapter to complement SOAP adapter? Is AXIS adapter useful even if i am not implementing any 'message-level' security?
Can message be posted to AXIS adapter without clinet having to authenticate to AxisAdapter?
I have an XI web service that my clinet is unable to consume as they don't know how to authnticate to SOAP adapter before sending a SOAP message. We don't have any 'message-level' security, but SOAP adapter requires Basic authentication. Client is able to pass Authentication details in SOAP Header but I guess they first need to authenticate to SOAP adapter  before sending SOAP messages. can AXIS adapter accept incoming SOAp messages without user authenticating and then extract Logon details from SOAP header and authenticate client.
Thanks,
Saurabh

The Axis framework provides the following:
●      Message protocols SOAP 1.1 and SOAP 1.2
●      Transport protocols HTTP/S, SMTP, file
●      Various user authentication procedures (Basic, Digest, NTLM, SAP Assertion Tickets)
●      Various encapsulation formats (MIME, DIME, MTOM)
●      You can add your own Axis handlers to the module chain by using the HandlerBean module
Soap 1.2 message protocol is available for AXIS Soap Adapter.

  • What exactly can Apple TV play?

I have been getting some confusing messages about exactly what Apple TV can play.
If the file - music, film, whatever - has been downloaded by whatever source to my iMac can this be streamed to my Apple TV? If I have downloaded a DVD or CD to my iMac can this be watched on Apple TV?
Are there any limitations to this? If, for example, some of my music has been purchased through iTunes UK and some through Canada will this cause any issues?

Oh I may stand corrected. http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20090215033647292 Looks like you need to put some elbow grease in to make it work though. Does anyone know for sure if the Mac Mini or the Mac Pro for that matter can do 5.1 output. I'm reading mixed things. Some peps say you need a special sound card...other say it can be corrected with third party software. I just remember when I first got my 2007 Mac Pro the first thing I did was hook up the optical cable to my Yamaha receiver and was bummed to not hear 5.1 from dvd's or quicktime movies with ac3 encodings.

  • What exactly can you do with NFC on WinPhone 8.1?

    Hi
I was wondering when "exciting" things are gonna happen with NFC technology.  So, yeah, we can "share pictures, contacts and more" by tapping phones against each other.  Boring, especially when you think about it that with "old technology" like bluetooth you can share things without tapping phones against each other :-)
Yes, you can buy tags that let you automatically launch apps.  Handy, but not groundbreaking.
Yes, it can automatically pair to a quite expensive speaker (given the sound quality) when you put your phone on top of it.  My phone just pairs via bluetooth when I'm home, without having to put my phone on top of a speaker...
The really nice thing about NFC, I think, is that you could theoretically use it to go inside the metro by passing your phone along the reader instead of your usual metro card (cities like Amsterdam and London use NFC chips in their metrocards to go in and out of the metro).   If you have an accident, somebody else could theoretically tap your phone to see your health information, or telephone numbers of people to be warned.
You could easily connect your Visa/Master/Goldcard to your phone (via Wallet in WP's case) and pay "contactlessly".
Windows Phones have NFC for already a few years and nothing much happens around it.  Apple launches the Iphone6 and says that they are working on a payment system based on Visa+NFC.  I hope Microsoft doesn't miss this train...
So, what else could we do with NFC?

Apple is not working on anything, they implemented an existing system and provide an app to use it. You can use any NFC equiped phone provided the carrier supports this which is where the problem lies, the carriers. Windows Phone has support for this functionality and has done so for almost two years.

  • What exactly can iSync to for me between mac and phone?

I want to test out my new KRZR K1m with iSync, but I do not want it to wipe out all of my contacts. My service provider is verizon, and they uploaded all my contacts from my old phone to my new KRZR K1m. Since I never sync'd the old cellphone w/ a computer, I do not want to accidentally delete everything on my phone by replacing it w/ my addressbook just yet.
but really, I just want to know what can by transferred via bluetooth between my mac and the KRZR?
    can I transfer songs? pictures/video?
what kinds of things can iSync do for me and what is the best way to go about it without accidentally erasing the KRZR's phone contacts?
    thank you

You don't have to worry about erasing all of your contacts. If you haven't synced the phone before, open iSync and click the "Sync" button in the main window. (It's the iSync logo to the right.)
Once you click sync, iSync looks for bluetooth devices and/or USB devices (phones, PDAs, etc.) Once it has found your device, it will display it to the left of the iSync window. Click on it and you'll see a bunch of options including, "For First Sync". There is a dropdown menu next to this with two options:
    1. Merge data on computer and device
    or....
    2. Erase data on device then sync.
Obviously in your case you would choose numero uno...
iSync will then add all of your phone numbers on the phone to your Mac Address Book and will sync your existing Address Book contacts to the phone.

  • What exactly can you do with aperture?

Hi, I'm going to be switch from my PC to an Imac. I do alot of picture editing, just for fun for the most part. Right now I have Adobe photoshop elements 7, Printmaster, Picasa 3 that I use. What would you folks recommend? I would like to start to get a little more serious though. Would what comes standard in the Imac 21.5 be sufficient? Or should I have the aperture 3 installed. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Yep, Terrence hit it on the head, pretty much. Aperture is designed to be great with RAW files (which are basically the uncompressed data that your camera recorded the moment you clicked the shutter - as opposed to the compressed JPG files that most point-and-shoot digital cameras save). Aperture also lets you create very impressive custom books from the included templates. You also have a fairly robust layout program built in to the book editor, so you can use their templates as a starting point and customize them as much as you want. Aperture is also known for its good organizational features, which are handy for wrangling large sets of images.
If none of that is critical to you, iPhoto should suit you just fine.

  • What exactly can you do on the iCloud Website?

Instead of worring about iCloud pushing changes all of my divices could I just input changes to my calendar, contacts, or reminders directly on the website? The reason I ask is that both my work and home computers would require substantial upgrading.

Yes you can but it will not go to your devices unless you set them up.

  • What exactly can BC partners sell?

As an Adobe Business Catalyst Premier Partner, am I authorized to "sell" anything other than the webCommerce1, 5 and 10 packages preformatted on the starter pages we are provided (at $39, $59 and $79 respectively), or can we offer other site hosting plans listed on the BC URL below? The provided starter pages only list the above three plans.     http://www.adobe.com/products/business-catalyst/buying-guide-subscriptions.html  I don't necessarily want to become a "hosting service" and manage the lower end packages, but just thought I would ask if this could be done and how.  Thanks.

    Hi Allan,
You are not limited to just the webCommerce plans.  You can sell the other type packages as you require.
We also provide consolidated billing to help set-up the type of plans you want to offer.

  • What, exactly, are 'encoded assets'? Why does removing them resolve problems? How can they be avoided in the first place?

What, exactly, are 'encoded assets'? Why does removing them resolve problems? How can they be avoided in the first place?

As I understand it, encoding fomats your digital video clips and photos (assets) into Standard DVD mp2 format so that it can be burned to a DVD.  If there has been an error in the encoding process, then you remove the old encoded assets and start over.  There are numberous reasons why there can be errors in the encoding process.

  • What exactly is balance in Oracle Payroll. Can someone give an example pls

    Hi
I am a newbie to Oracle Payroll. Could some one xplain what exactly is balance in Oracle Payroll. Can someone give an example pls. Is there any link which would be useful to clearly explain this.

Results of Payroll run get accumulated in the Balances. The accumulation happens according to the dimension like ASGRUN holds the value of current payroll run, ASGYTD holds the cumulative value for the current financial year and gets reset at the beginning of the next financial year, ASGQTD holds the cumulative value for the current quarter and gets reset at the beginning of the next quarter etc.
You can see the values of the balances for different dimension after running the payroll.
View -> Assignment Process Results -> Balances.

    Regards
    Usman

    Hi Usman
Enterprise Portal, as defined by SAP themselves is as follows.
<b>The portal is the front-end component for SAP NetWeaver—the comprehensive integration and application platform that facilitates the alignment of people, information, and business processes across organizational and technical boundaries.</b>
The portal offers a single point of access to SAP and non-SAP information sources, enterprise applications, information repositories, databases and services in and outside your organization—all integrated into a single user experience.
Hope that was an appropriate answer to your question.
    Warm Regards

  • This is for Exchange 2007 but can't find a place to post it. It may apply here I don't know. What exactly happens when you suspend LCR?

OK. I searched out here and found things close to what I need: how to suspend and restore LCR but I need another answer. I have gotten a new backup solution (Unitrends) and the Microsoft exchange write appears twice. I'm guessing one is for my first storage
group and one is for LCR. Anyway it appears the software is trying to use the replication writer which is causing my backups to fail. Here is my question: what EXACTLY happens when I suspend the LCR (Suspend Storage Group Copy)? Does this affect regular exchange/email
transport and receiving at all? Basically if I disable it will mail continue to flow as normal with no adverse affects? And what EXACTLY happens when I disable LCR. What if I decide I don't need it. Will disabling it affect normal email operations? Basically
will either of these options in ANY way interfere with normal mail flow? Thanks.

    Hi,
Based on my knowledge, suspending LCR doesn't affect the mail flow. If there is no need for LCR, you can disable LCR, and then please manually delete the LCR storage group and databaase fles.
For more information about LCR, please refer to
    Local Continuous Replication.

  • 1.how can I interpret meaning of TARGET  STATE   in output of command crsctl stat res -t  2. what exactly is nodeapps and why it need to be stopped before any maintenanace activity.

I have two question requesting from the Gurus.
1.how can I interpret meaning of TARGET  STATE   in output of command crsctl stat res -t  2. what exactly is nodeapps and why it need to be stopped before any maintenance activity.

I'd tried deleting my user preferences before, and it didn't seem to help. However, I tried again, and also removed the couple of actions I'd had in ~/Library/Automator. Success! Just for good measure, I tried putting the actions back and restoring the old preferences file, and everything still worked. Huh. But that's the nature of these things, I guess. At least it works now, thanks!
