My PSE9 included a 30-day trial for Lightroom3. I'm thinking about giving it a try but have a question: What happens to the new images I import into Lightroom's library after the 30-day trial period runs out, especially if I decide not to buy Lightroom?

The images will still be where you put them on your computer. Simply go to the folder.

I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!!

I lost my Ipod, but managed to locate and lock it remotely through Find my iPod and iCloud. It was located once, but hasn't been located again in the last four days. I think the battery may have run out. What happens when the battery is charged and the iPod turned back on? Does the lock and everything else that can be controlled with Find my iPod still apply?

Yes, because when you remotely lock the iPod via Find my iPod, the lock code is set as the lock code that you would use to unlock the iPod if you used a passcode normally. As long as the iPod is still connected to your Apple ID, Find my iPod should work as log as the iPod is connected to wifi.

Soooo..... I changed my passcode and forgot it. Yea, I know, pretty stupid but I never said I was majorly inteligent. I tried reseting it and when i synced it back up and it put my passcode back on there. *sigh* I would just really like back on my ipod. If anyone could help me then I would be really greatful.

Go to "My Computer"
Open your iPod's drive (F for me)
Make sure you can see all hidden folders (If you aren't sure go to Tools, Folder Options, View Tab, and check Show)
Open the folder "iPod_Control"
Open the folder called "Device"

Will i loose all the functionality or merely the "extra" functions (Walk, drive).

you will be able to use maps but witouth the voice guidance and the 'extras' as you said. you can continue to update maps with the newest releases etc. or you can also opt to purchase an extension for the maps you have its your call.

I need Lightroom to work offline on my laptop. What happens if I need to sign in to CC when there is no interned connection and what happens when the CC trial ends on both my laptop and desktop?

Thanks for answering. I have the standalone version of Lightroom 6 on my Windows 7 64 bit desktop. A number of times when have tried to open the program, the Adobe Application Manager has popped up requiring me to sign in even though I had not knowingly signed out. Lightroom will not launch unless I am signed in. Frequently when Lightroom launches, I see a "Server Busy" message telling me to "switch to the other program" without telling me which program to switch to. I have pinned the AAM to my notification area and have unchecked the "Show OS Notifications box" to see if the "Server Busy" message goes away. So far everything seems to be okay

What happens when subscription ends

I have cancelled my dw subscription, just a few days ago, ( it was a cost thing) So today i clicked to see what happens when I open it, it opened but a screen just says to go to my account to straight in out payment info, but also say you have 66 days, for what? If anyone else has cancelled what have they found, I have moved onto Coda 2 and seems good, I do most of my own coding, Thx RJ

Sounds like you paid ahead of time a bit, and canceled with 66 days left on your subscription. You will still be able to use the program for the remainder of the time you have paid, but get a reminder that your subscription is expiring.
After that paid time runs out, you won't be able to use the program at all until you re-up the subscription.

What happens when multiple users access the same servlet?

Do the users share all the same resources? Or is a new process generated for each user? I have a servlet that builds a string to return to the user and I only have myself to test, so I can't really see what happens when many users access the servlet. Is there a possibility that the string will get screwed up, like when dealing with multiple threads, or do all the users get their own resources and I don't have to worry about that?

huh? if you can point a test servlet at it, you can point a browser at it (even if the servlet does not serve html it will run)
try pasting the servlet URL into a web browser
refreshing multiple browsers repeatedly could provide a manual test

Don't know, in general. I do know that for Dell there is a distinct difference between their decidedly consumer laptops (Inspiron) and their "business" Lattitude series. I know that at my last job we had a lot of rock solid HP equipment (servers and SAN) - vs. an HP laptop I had that was trouble from Day One. I'm sure there is a point in desktops and laptops the line can get blurred, but in the case of the OP, he was no where near that fuzzy line.

I am developing a game, using JMF to play sound.
These sound are stored in mp3 files.
In order to decode mp3 files, I installed JMF and mp3-plugin( jmf-2_1_1e-windows-i586.exe , javamp3-1_0.exe).
In the Game, a background music play back repeatly.When EndOfMediaEvent happened, I setMediaTime(new Time(0)) and then start().It works well.
There are several sound-effects,may start at any time,
so 2 or more sounds may play back at the same time,
and then Strange things happened.
Those sound-effects, usually short, can not play back inextenso.
They lose some beginning part, the length of the part is not constant.
i.e. Audio should start at MediaTime 0, but now they start at MediaTime x, x >= 0,
not only that, sometimes, Audio process bar runs, but no sound heared.
I do not know what is happening.
So please help me, thanks a lot.

create realized players from mp3 files
prefetch them
finalize:
deallocate not null players
then close them

player.setMediaTime(new Time(0))
then player.start()
My Environment:

This is very strange, difficult to guess the cause... never had such an issue. Normally when the object to which the audio is attached disappears the audio stops. So in your case going to a next slide should stop the audio of the previous slide. Same with object audio.
Do you have the different audio clips (one per slide) in the Library? Could you try to delete the audio on the slide and drag it again from the Library to see if you have the same result? And what happens when you attach the audio clip to an object on the slide (you can create a totally transparent rectangle with no stroke that will not be visible to attach the audio).

IPhone 5 replacement now £209. What happens when the 5C is released?

I have an iPhone 5. Before that I've had almost every iteration of the iPhone and also own an iPad, iMacs, G4 tower before that. Never had much to complain about.
About 10 weeks ago the iPhone became almost impossible to charge and the connection kept dropping out. Even if you turn vibrate on ring/alert off it'll still vibrate all through the night. I tried cleaning out any lint but the problem persisted. One night in my anger I knocked it off the table to silence it and smashed the screen. Great. It's rather spectacular too there's almost no part not cracked.
I went into the Apple store and showed them the problem last week (12th September) and was told that the charging issue is probably a build up of lint / debris and that the screen is not covered by warranty but I could get the handset replaced for £170. OK if the charging issue wasn't a problem I can just about swallow that after all it was my doing, BUT I'd have to book a Genius appointment. No problem but it meant I'd have to come back in a few days.
I arrived on time today (17th September) and patiently waited 30 minutes to be seen. I was told they'd use compressed air and clean out the lightning port and that should solve the charging issue, however the replacement handset will be £209. When I said I was quoted less I was told they'd put their prices up 3 days ago. Surely that's unfair as I was in the store 5 days earlier asking for it to be replaced?
Also what will happen when the 5C comes out and I do manage to find £209? I would prefer a 5. It couldn't go up again could it?
Good news though! The handset is now charging at least.

Apple will continue to have service replacements for the iPhone 5 for a long time to come. So if you go to Apple for an exchange, you'll get the same model of iPhone that you turn in. You will not get a 5C.
As to the price change, there may be nothing to be done, but if you wanted to get the iPhone replaced but that the Genius could not or would not do the replacement at that time, talk to the manager of the Apple Store, explain that you were in and reported the problem before the price increase but could not get a replacement then. Perhaps they'll be able to do something for you. If it was your choice not to replace the iPhone, though, then you're probably stuck, just as with any product price increase when you previously elected not to purchase.

VDI3: what happens when the Primary VDI core fails?

A potential customer asked me this and I did not really know how to answer the question ... sorry if this was asked before. So here we go:
What happens when and if the Primary VDI core fails? Will the entire VDI3 setup go down? Will running sessions be lost? And how do you fix that?

If this is correct then this would answer the "how do you fix that?" part. OK then.
But still I'd welcome if anyone could explain what exactly would happen when and if a Primary VDI core fails. The customer's opinion on this is that they are a "single point of failure" because the Primary VDI host is not redundant (as opposed to the 2 x Secondary VDI cores) ... So, is this assumption correct or not?

Assuming you have 3 VDI core hosts. One of them is the primary. And the primary goes down. So what happens then:
* The underlying database is still running on the remaining hosts
* All desktop sessions are still running on the remaining hosts
* New session requests will be handled by the remaining hosts.
* All desktops are still running on the virtualization hosts.
So in essence, your VDI cluster is still healthy. The operation is just impacted in this way:
* You can't add new VDI core hosts
* You can't change the configuration of the Sun Ray server failover group
* A failure of another VDI core host (data node) will result into a complete outage of the underlying database
You should bring up the primary again as soon as possible in order to gain failover capabilities again.

I am testing Skype for business within my company before actually rolling out teh Skype for Business for all. I am using Skype for business evaluation version to test the features and/or and impact it would have on Lync 2013 existing users. I need to know

What happens when the multiply effect is applied to both the object and the graphic within?

I could really use some help with this...
I'm getting a booklet ready to be printed. Originally, half of the pages were to be printed on paper with a (physical) colour. For budget reasons however, I've now decided to print the paper colour, and have the content of the pages overprinted on the tint in the background, which I've applied to the pages in the background of an additional master page.
When I set the objects to multiply, they blend with the background colour, which is the effect I'm looking for, as there would be no 'paper white' on the pages that I want to appear as though printed on coloured paper.
There's something confusing me though; you can also set the graphic within the object frame to multiply. This makes the graphic appear darker, which I don't really understand, since there is no extra colour within the graphic that accounts for this. I've looked at the output in the resulting pdf, and it looks like it's not just an on-screen effect, but the extra amount of (in this case) yellow would also be visible in the printed result.
Does anyone have an explanation for this? Please see the graphic for a visual example.
