We built a new site in Muse and started using BC (for the CMS) over a year ago, and while we're very pleased with how the site now looks and performs, we feel we've outgrown BC/the CMS.
What alternatives do we have for the CMS that will work with Muse?

- We'd like a better search facility that can look at individual categories as we have several content holders such as News, Jobs, Features articles etc
- A page numbering system rather than a long list of items stored in the content holder (news items etc). IE at the bottom you see 1, 2, 3, 4, etc
- Tags - so key phrases or categories are suggested/shown with a value of news items

What triggers CMS in ATGProduction and ATGStaging?
I have been troubleshooting a problem that had our ATGProduction cluster misconfigured such that CatalogMaintenanceHelper was not active=true on any server in the cluster. Correcting the problem was easy enough, but now I am left trying to figure out how to test the fix. I was under the impression that, at the end of each BCC Project deployment from ATGPublishing, CMS would run on one of the machines in the target cluster. This doesn't seem to be the case (or I'm not looking in the right place). How do I confirm that my fix is working and CMS is running correctly in ATGStage and ATGProduction?
As always, any help or insights are greatly appreciated.

Hi all,
I have a server which monitors a great number of devices. Each value received from the devices is stored in memory for for about 5 sec. At the max load on the server I've got about 400 Mb of data to keep in the memory. What I'd like to achieve is storing as less object in Old Generation as possible, since I observe 'concurrent mode failures' of CMS ~ 2 per day, which cause long pauses in the application execution.
I thought that if I increase the size on Young Generation then the objects will stay longer in Yong Generation and will be GC-ted before getting to the Old Generation. But it seems not to be the case - the JVM doesn't even commit the Max Size for Young Generation and I haven't seen any changes in the Age Thresholds chosen by JVM.
What could the typical GC settings be for such an application?

1) what is CMS ? CMS is the CentralManagementServer which is the heart of the server which holds the database information. It will connect to one of the database that stores the metadata like objects, users, groups, and so on. It will come with the installation of the Business Objects.
2) where i can download it? Download the BO from Service Market Place. you need to get the username and password from your company. You need to order for a BO license key with your sales team. use this key while installing the product.
3) how can i configure it? Just start installing the BO product , it will comeup with tomcat and SIA (Server Intelligence Agent) - which in turn hold the CMS.
4) its need to be installed in separated machine? yes you can install BO in windows server machine. Check the PAM guide.

DharaniSAP NWDI is also known as SAP JDI (Java Development Infrastructure). The latter term is considered to be obsolete.
NWDI consists of
- Design Time Repository (DTR)
- Component Build Service (CBS)
- Change Management Service (CMS)
The concept of the NWDI starts with a product and a software component (SC). The normal case is to have a one to one relationship between product and software component, one product is being developed and the relations between the components comprising the product are kept within a software component.
A software component comprises one or more development components (DC). A development component consists of a normal project created with the Netweaver Developer Studio, i.e. a Web Dynpro application. The software component can also have dependencies to other SCs.
All relations are defined in a SLD.
Since all DCs that makes a product is kept inside a software component, the relations between the DCs are intact and versions of the different DCs are always consistent in the SC.
To be able to develop a DC inside a SC, a Track has to be set up in the NWDI to support that development.
Details about the components:
Design Time Repository (DTR)
The DTR resemblance a filesystem and can be accessed via WebDAV. File and folder permissions can be configured for users or groups.
Each file is version controlled and it's possible to branch or merge files.
The main repository folder (ws) contains folders representing tracks in the NWDI. The files checked into the NWDI are files with no local dependencies. For instance, the classpath file in a project refers to local jar files and are of no use for the Component Build Service when the project is build on the server.
Component Build Service (CBS)
When a file is changed in the Netweaver Developer Studio, an Activity is created together with a Request. When the changes are done, the request is checked in to the DTR, the activity is then activated which trigger the CBS to build the DC on the NWDI. Usually an ear or war file is created. When the activity is released from the Netweaver Developer Studio, the ear or war file is deployed to a development system via the CMS.
When the CBS finds dependencies between DCs inside the Track, all dependent DCs are rebuild automatically.
It's possible to use the CBS to rebuild a DC or even a full SC.
Change Management Service (CMS)
Change Management Service is used to maintain tracks and keep track of what version is deployed on different servers in the landscape. CMS can also transfer code between tracks. This is often used when creating tracks supporting development of general components, development of main components and finally maintaining deployment of full solutions.
Transferring code between tracks in order to achieve merge and joins between deployed production versions.
The CMS consists of layers on each track.
Check-In - where initial source is loaded to the track.
Development - represents the deployment to a development system. Changes are deployed on a DC level.
Consolidation - represents the deployment to a consolidation system.
Assembly - Stage to accept a change. Combines all DCs to a full SC. Version number labels are possible to set here.
Test - represents the deployment to a test system. Changes are deployed on a SC level.
Confirm - Confirmation stage before moving the change to production.
Production - represent the deployment to a production system.
System State - Gives an overview of the different versions deployed on different systems.
Each layer have a history and the possibility to go back to an earlier state.

Why does Photoshop display colors differently from the other applications even in sRGB mode ?
Hello all !
Here is my problem :
Photoshop is set to use sRGB workspace (in edit/colors.../workspace/RVB).
If I understand correctly this is how all native windows applications work.
This means Photoshop and the other applications should display the same colors on a file with a sRGB profile.
Now this is the case until I calibrate my monitor.
When I do, Photoshop colors become different from the other applications (irfanview, explorer, browsers...).
The only way I found to let everything display the same colors is to set Photoshop to use Proofing/RVB Monitor.
What upsets me even more is that Photoshop colors look "better" to me (dark grays seem to dark to me in the other applications.)
I have read that this is because Photoshop takes the new profile into account and others applications do not. But I don't think this is relevant here because everything is in sRGB so the only profile is my monitor's and I think calibration is handled globally by windows : everything (including browsers, explorer, and Photoshop) changes color if I choose to apply the monitor's profile or not with windows color management tool ("use my parameters for this device").
Here is my system configuration :
- Photoshop CS4 (11.0.2)
- Windows 7 64 bits
- HP ZR2440W and DELL 2209WA (these are not wide gamut screens)
I have spent two days trying to figure the logics behind this and really am upset. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Don't hesitate to ask me if there is something that is unclear or some information I forgot to mention.

I invite you to re-read just the first sentence of what you wrote very carefully, putting yourself in the shoes of someone struggling with both the terminology and the concepts:
Photoshop (CMS) reads an embedded ICC profile and CONVERTS it to the custom monitor profile for a theoretical 'true color' display
Think about what "Photoshop (CMS)" might mean to a person who doesn't know the acronym might stand for "Color Management System" (which is I assume what you meant). Adobe themselves don't call it "CMS", they use the acronym "CMM" (Color Management Module). The term "CMS" is used in the computer industry for about a dozen different things.
While a color profile might have been embedded in an image file before it was opened by Photoshop, Photoshop works on documents. A profile is not "embedded" in a document, it is maintained by Photoshop with the document and describes the color values in the document. If Photoshop opens a document without an embedded profile, depending on settings and user choices it might assign a profile or it might even operate on the document without color-management. Oversimplification doesn't help people when they're trying to learn new things unless it's described as such, for example, "This is a bit of an oversimplification..." or "Generally speaking..."
Not every monitor profile is a "custom monitor profile". Quite often a standard profile (e.g., sRGB IEC61966-2.1) is associated with a monitor by the operating system as a default, or a factory profile is installed by a driver package or system update. Your use of the term "custom" is a bit ambiguous and could be read as implying the creation of a profile using a calibration and profiling device specific to the particular monitor.
Photoshop's color management code does not convert an embedded ICC profile at all (read carefully what you wrote). As I said, it transforms color values. That was the key error in your description that prompted me to comment.
If ever there is a time to pick words carefully, it's in a color-management discussion.

Flash Interactive Media Server seems to be an amazing product, but is it all just hype?
I see plenty of tutorials and scenarios on how to grab the video from a flash player and stream it.
But would I would like to see are content management systems that tie into fms.
Does anyone have any suggestions or samples of doing such a thing?
Thank you for your time,FMIS (the interactive edition) is capable of communicating with most http services. Assuming your CMS has an HTTP service exposes the required methods, your FMS application can consume data from and post data to that service.
There are a number of options... LoadVars for http get/post, XML.send/load/sendAndLoad, SOAP, XML Sockets, and NetServices for remoting. The best option depends on what your CMS supports (or what you plan to make it support)
If you can clue me in what the existing CMS supports (what services it exposes), I can make some suggestions. -
How can you publish an article in SharePoint and also have it push to Facebook and Twitter?
I've been scouring the internet for this answer. I've found how to add Facebook "Like" boxes, even post to a wall from a SharePoint web part, but what I need is something similar to what other CMS's have to offer such as WordPress, where I publish

WWW user has no permissions in user site, how to change?
Hi everyone,
we have a backoffice running over a mySQL database & phpmyAdmin on one of our websites. When I like to create a project over the website backoffice the user should create a folder and upload the images into it.
The website uses Apache OWNER: www and GROUP: staff to create the files/folder however they are only set with permissions (644).
It seem that the folder is linked to my username and no one else has access.
How can I fix this problem?

DaveI'd recommend considering Drupal or another web content management system (CMS). It might initially seem like severe overkill, but it makes managing file uploads and documents and such rather easier. (If you want pointers to what a CMS like Drupal looks like running on a Mac OS X Server box, start with the information at http://64.223.189.234/node/82 and web pages available from there. Or contact me off-line.)
To change ownerships manually (if I understand the question), use Terminal.app and the chown and chmod commands. "sudo chown x:w file" (and often "sudo chown root:www file), and "sudo chmod u=rw" file or such to change the file protection.
You do want to be very careful around directories open to the web server, particularly if the site is accessible on the Internet. If you're not careful, you'll find all sorts of stuff uploaded into such directories. And near the worst case, you might find your whole website re-uploaded and repurposed by somebody else.
What you have to do to get this to work in your particular context and your web server -- beyond chmod and chown commands -- involves details of what software and HTML you're using to run your "backoffice" site. -
[Explained] X crash at boot - prop. nvidia involved, but very odd
I've been having issues with the proprietary nvidia driver for some time now, but got it to work today and in turn figured out what the problem was, kind of.
So I installed the necesary stuff and made damn sure to disable auto start of Slim, to avoid any significant issues and it worked. I could start X via startx or 'systemctl start slim'', it made no difference, so obviously I thought it safe to enable autostart of slim.
That was a bit mistake. Next when I rebooted I had the same issue once again. Back screen and the fan going haywire.
So I decided to go with another manager and since I just installed LXDE, of course LXDM was appropiate and the issue was exactly the same.
in short:
startx [works]
systemctl start slim/lxdm [works]
systemctl enable slim/lxdm; reboot [crash boom bang]
The odd thing though, and I only tried this with slim, is that if .xinitrx is empty, slim has no issue starting.
Also, I had no such issues using the nouveau driver, so it would seem that the proprietary nvidia driver is to blame, somehow.
safe to say I'm very very confused.
I've looked at a few logs, but have found nothing that, to me at least, looked relevant.
So if you have any ideas, any at all, please do let me know. It's a fairly insignificant problem, all things considered, but I'd really like it fixed.

Sorry. In the BIOS on my Asus Zenbook there is something called "Fast CMS" in the boot section which is by default disabled. I have tried googling, but i got no idea what it does or what it is. I just read a thread where someone said it was solved by enabling it.
Well, I've got nothing like that sadly. Guess I'll have to wait for the kernel and nvidia folks to sort this out.

you can in VBFA table for various field values. As well a sales document is open till all its items are delivered. You can use VA05.

yes in the sense that a GL account is required, chart of accounts.
6.where do u use r100 cond type apart from free goods process
no other place we R100 apart from free goods. the basic thing it tries to give 100% disc for the price.

Disclaimer: I am very inexperienced in web development and design. I have read all of the tutorials at w3schools.com over the past two weeks, but have no practical experience.
I'd like to create a site with iWeb pages that don't need to be interactive. I'd also like to use Drupal to incorporate a blog and Ubercart on the site.
I prefer the interface of iWeb to Drupal. Is there a way that you can embed Drupal into an iWeb page? Will html snippets permit me to paste all of the html and php from Ubercart into a blank iWeb page?
I understand that iWeb is designed more for personal use than enterprise, but as a novice the ease of use is encouraging. I'm guessing the only solution is to link to a different directory for parts of the site using Drupal, but I'd like something easier. Anyone made something similar happen?

I certainly could purchase a book or watch any of the extremely helpful tutorial repositories online. I'm on a pretty short timeline for startup, so I was hoping there was a simpler way to integrate iWeb's easy method of making content look the way I want it to without editing CSS, adapting which Drupal modules I'm employing on which pages and what users have what access, etc. It would save a lot of learning curve time. (Drupal is clearly driven towards experienced developers and designers.) Then I could use Drupal to create the ancillary pages for ecommerce and blog.

What is the best way to add i18n to an existing custom CMS system (build with C#)?
I am currently responsible for an existing CMS, built a few years ago with C# .Net and a few clients are requesting to have their website
in Spanish. The websites are pre-populated with pages from a library and currently the application has no support for i18n. What is the quickest way to allow the client to have his website in Spanish? And what is the best way to allow any language?

Upgrading hard drive and RAM in my HP 2000-2C29WM Notebook
