What is delivery quality for data frames in p2p stream?

Hi,
I am planning to replace some shared object solution by sending data frames over p2p stream. Since this runs over UDP I can imagine there is risk involved of partial deliver, non-delivery, or delivery out of sync? (admittedly out-of-sync is probably also possible with shared objects?)
Can you give an indication what I may expect?

in Flash Player 10.0, data sent P2P with NetStream.send() is fully reliable. we disclosed at MAX that Flash Player 10.1 will allow you to explicitly and individually set (from ActionScript) whether or not video, audio, or data is sent fully reliably or with partial reliability over direct connection P2P NetStreams. NetStream.send()s are delivered in the order they were sent.

What class to use for date manipulation

To get some experience in using Java, I would like to write a small application. I want users to enter their names and birth dates, and then I want to present the number of days they have been walking around on this planet. Furthermore, I want to present the dates when the number of days will be a nice quantity ("On February 1st, 2007 your day age will be 10.000 days", or something like that).
To calculate the number of days, I have to do some date manipulation. Now I am wondering what date-related classes I should use. Of course, there is Date, but in the API specification, I see 'deprecated' for a lot of methods. Does this mean that the use of Date is discouraged, and/or should be avoided?
Then, there is a class Calendar, but that's an abstract class. Thus, I cannot create a Calendar object when a user has entered his birth date (in a Swing JTextField).
The use of GregorianCalendar seems a bit far-fetched to me, but maybe I am wrong.
In short, when a user has entered his birth date, I want to store it in some date-like object, and I want to be able to do some arithmetic based on that object.
Can anyone give me some clues?

What gets better quality for watching video.. airplay mirroring or HDMI cable

I have the new Retnia. I have a apple tv and high quality HDMI cable. If I want watch a 900P movie from my laptop to my up to 1080p tv which would be more reliable/better quality? BTW the movie is predownloaded so it WOULD NOT be streamming.

My guess is the HDMI cable will yield better quality than AirPlay. Since you already have an HDMI cable and a Mac that supports AirPlay, why not try both for yourself then report back here with your results?

Display problems in Data Quality for Data Integrator

We would like to set the GR Tolerance Limits in the Configuration level.
how to set the Tolerance Limits for Date and quantity..??
if we created PO 100qty and date 01-05-009.
if we receive the goods on 20-04-2009 and 50qty...
For GR .. Migo should be give error message..

for quantity tolerence limit u can do it while creating P O in item details-->delivery tab.
for date go to SPRO-->mm>purchasing->material master> define purchase value key>in that st.del.time var here it wil compare the dates and shows how much deviation is occuring for GR date
configure messages in SPRO-->mm>environment data--> define attributes of system messages

No Schedule Lines for Delivery upto selected date

Hi,
I have a scenario for Repairs order. Following are the steps of my scenario:
1. Create a Repair Order.
2. Create return delivery to recieve the faulty item.
3. Create Outbound Delivery to send a loaner item to customer (This item would be returned once the returned item is repaired and sent to customer)
4. Send the item after repairing.
5. Receive the loaner item.
When I am trying to create outbound delivery for Loaner item, i am getting an error "No Schedule Lines for Delivery upto selected date".
I have checked and verified the schedule line date.
I have checked for Confirmed Quantity.
Below are the screenshots. Please let me know how can this issue be resolved.

1.May I know ,why you have checked indicator -Repair?
because ,you are not going to repair the goods.You are just sending loner items to customer.In this case what is the use of to indicate repair ?.

2) Yesterday I made the subclips with the In-Out Points and Command-U, the benefit is that I've seen the clip before naming it. Now I'm using markers, it's benefit is that I can write comment and (the later) clip name at once, the drawback is that I have to view to the next shot's beginning before knowing what the shot contains.
But now I found out that I can reconnect my clips independently to the format I converted the master clip to. I reconnected the media to the original AVI file and it worked, too! The more I work with, the more I'm sold on it... - although it doesn't seem to be able to read and use the date information within the DV AVI.
1) Ok, I tried something similar within FCE. Just worked, but the file size still remains. Which codec settings should I use? Is the export to DV in MOV with a quality of 75% acceptable for both file size and quality? Or would be encoding as H.264 with best quality an option for archiving, knowing that I have to convert it back to DV if I (maybe) wan't to use it for editing later? Or anything else?

I have 3 line items with Different materials having diffent quantities and there are different delivery dates and different delivery schedule dates. I need to create single delivery. Could you please tell me how to do it? What is the Tcode?

Hi Anil
For your 1st question , if the delivery date is same but he material and quantity are different also then both can be delivered . So you can combine those two materials into 1 delivery . what you said is true
For your 2nd question , you said you have two line items in PO , but if you want combine them into 1 delivery document , then first of all as they are two different materials you cant combine , but if you have a 3 PO's for the one material only then you can combine into one delivery by using VL10A

OWB Paris, 10k$/CPU for Enterpr. ETL and 15k$/ CPU for Data Quality option

I just heard that the licensing model changed completely with OWB 10g R2 (Paris).
As far as I get informed Warehouse Builder is now shipped as part of the database and for each Database (development, test, production...) you have to license the required option.
The 2 main options are the:
-Enterprise ETL Option which costs 10'000$ pro CPU
-Data Quality Option which costs 15'000$ pro CPU
This means that from now on you pay for OWB with the the Enterprise ETL and Data Quality Option as much as 50% of what you already pay for the EE DB license with the partitioning option.
So what's your opinion to this new licensing model?

Hi Maurice. It seems like Oracle is trying to reduce number of licenses with the OLAP option, since it should be possible to have both OLTP and OLAP systems in the very same instance.
In the other hand, Oracle seems to want more money for "advanced ETL options", such as scheduling, metadata management, bla bla bla...
But those "advanced" functions seems to me as something every ETL tool should provide. For free...

What is the Tcodes for Uploading of data using BDC & CATT

I was going through the cutover activities , and what I understood is we transfer all the legacy system data into SAP before going live
The data upload follows certain steps (depends on the organizational design load strategies)
First we upload all the master data ( material master, BOM, W/C's & Routings)
Then the transaction data ( Ideally speaking, there should no open orders i.e. WIP as on the day of cutoff )
If the WIP (Work in Process) is unavoidable then the materials consumed shall be treated as materials of the previous stage and necessary adjustments shall be made after cutover day
At this point, I could not able to understand what does the author mean materials of the previous stage
Now comming to the uploading of data into SAP from legacy system, we use tools like LSMW, CATT & BDC
Is it a must to use only LSMW tool to upload master data or any other upload tools are fine
Lastly,. I am not sure about the Tcode of CATT & BDC
Summary of the questions:
1.What does the author mean material of previous stage, for WIP materials during cutover activities
2. Is it mandatory to use only LSMW tool for uploading for master data
3. What are the Tcodes for upload tools CATT & BDC ?

1.What does the author mean material of previous stage, for WIP materials during cutover activities - as i understood, what is the stage of material..like it must have gone through 2 work centers and other 2 is left. i.e. you need to create Production order with only 2 operation as other 2 is already over. - usually it is done in such a way that we will create Production order and confirm till 2 operations and WIp is calculated so thatb FI will tally the books in SAP and lagacy.
2. Is it mandatory to use only LSMW tool for uploading for master data - no you can use any tool as required and suits yr requirement
3. What are the Tcodes for upload tools CATT & BDC- BDC through a prog in SE38. CATT through - SCEM.

WHAT A LOW QUALITY KEYBOARD!!! Broken after using for ONE day, what should I do????

I've bought my first thinkpad x230 from lenovo offical online store and recived it on yesterday. I was very exciting when I receive this extreamely light and pretty notebook.
-However, it not last long... After typing a series of numbers, the “5” key was automatically filped open!!! And I can not put it back again!!!
-I can't understand why will this happen in such kind of well-known computer? I have never faced this kind of problem when I using those cheap keyboard!
So, I wan't to know what should I do? I've contacted the tech support, she told me she will submit my problem to some guys and hopefully call me back, however, I didn't receive any call from lenovo.
I've searched on google and found some guy's thinkpad also have this problem....What should I say? How bad luck I am or what a low quality of lenovo? Or both?
Can I bring this poor quality thinkpad to the nearest retailer store to seek for help？ Or I should go to the official service center which is very far from me....
BTW, in this case can I return this notebook for free? Or get a free repleacement of the broken key?

You'll have to phone the service center and ask. (When I lived not far from Lenovo's Canadian service center and wanted to bring in a ThinkPad for warranty repair they said that would be OK with them but my unit would be put on a queue the same as if I'd shipped it in. They simply didn't offer walk-in, while you wait service.)

I have installed ODI 10.1.3.40.0 from odi_unix_generic_10.1.3.4.0.zip in HP unix 11.23.
Data quality and data profiling is missing in that zip ? Could anyone please help me how to get installer of data quality and data profiling for Oracle data integrator in HP UX 11.23.

The integrated packaged( ODi, data quality and data profiling) for HP-UX wount available till 10.1.3.5.0 which will be released by this year end.

6 months after purchase I updated my iPod touch as recommend by iTunes.
It has not worked since that day. It frozen (disabled) with a "connect to
iTunes" icon displayed...that is the only thing it does. itunes does not
recognize the iPod. My Windows7 computer recognizes an Apple device.
Other computers recognize the devise but if iTunes resided on that
computer it did not recognize the iPod
I suffered a setback with deep depression and am just now getting out of it enough to do something. The depression prohibited me from taking action.

You need an internet connection and likely a computer with iTunes but an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with the FindMy iPhone App may work by:
