What is / does grock SRVM.DATABASE.NODEAPPS ???

Hey,
I am not quite sure that my configuration is ok.
What is grock ??? Haven´t seen it in the past...
Are these messages normal ? They are repeating every minute.
I get these messages in the ocssd.log

What does a package database consist of? can any one give me complete description.

    Hi,
    This is Prabhuram Devar,
    A package database consists of:
/var/sadm/pkg: This is a directory containing one directory entry for every package installed on the system.
    /var/sadm/pkg/<packagename>/pkginfo
    /var/sadm/pkg/<packagename>/save/<patchid>/undo.Z for the backout packages.
/var/sadm/pkg/<packagename>/save/pspool/<packagename>: A sparse package that is used for non-global zone install.
/var/sadm/install/contents: This file has an entry for every file in the system that has been installed through a package. Entries are added or removed automatically using the binaries installf and removef.

  • What are structures of logical database.

    hi
what are structures of logical database.

    Dear Chaitanya,
The structure of LDB can be divided into three sections:
    >Structure
    >Selection
    >Database Program
    STRUCTURE:
The structure defines the data view of the logical database. It adopts the hierarchy of the database tables defined by their foreign key relationships. This also controls the sequence in which the tables are accessed. It determines the structure of the other components and the behavior of the logical database at runtime.
The structure of a logical database is usually based on the foreign key relationships between hierarchical tables in the SAP System. Logical databases have a tree-like structure, which can be defined as follows:
    · There is a single node at the highest level. This is known as the root node.
    · Each node can have one or several branches.
    · Each node is derived from one other node.
The nodes must be structures defined in the ABAP Dictionary or data types from a type group. Normally, these are the structures of database tables which the logical database reads and passes to the user for further evaluation. However, it is also possible, and sometimes useful, to use ABAP Dictionary structures without an underlying database. For technical reasons, the maximum number of nodes allowed in the structure of a logical database is 300.
Any executable ABAP program that has a logical database linked to it can contain a GET statement for each node of the structure. When you run the program, the corresponding event blocks are processed in the sequence prescribed by the hierarchical structure of the logical database. If a program does not contain a GET statement for every node of a logical database, the processing passes through all the nodes that lie in the path from the root to the nodes specified by GET statements.
If you call a logical database using the function module LDB_PROCESS, the depth to which the system reads is controlled by an interface parameter.
    SELECTIONS:
The selections define a selection screen, which forms the user interface of the executable programs that use the logical database. Its layout is usually determined by the structure. You can adapt the selections to your own requirements and also add new ones. When you link a logical database to an executable program, the selections of the logical database become part of the standard selection screen of the program (screen number 1000). If you call a logical database using the function module LDB_PROCESS, the selections are filled using interface parameters.
The selections in a logical database are defined using the normal statements for defining selection screens, that is, PARAMETERS, SELECT-OPTIONS and SELECTION-SCREEN. In a logical database, you can also use the additions VALUE-REQUEST and HELP-REQUEST to define specific input and value help. You define the selection screen in a special include program known as the selection include.
When you write programs using a logical database, you can also add your own program specific selections. The standard selection screen then contains the database-specific selections, followed by the program-specific selections that you have defined.
When the system generates the selection screen for an executable program, database-specific selection criteria and parameters are only displayed if you have declared an interface work area for them in your program using the NODES or TABLES statement.
Suppose you have a selection include containing the following lines:
    SELECT-OPTIONS slifnr FOR lfa1-lifnr.
PARAMETERS pbukrs LIKE lfb1-bukrs FOR TABLE lfb1.
The selection criterion SLIFNR is linked to table LFA1, the parameter PBUKRS to table LFB1. If the TABLES statement in an executable program (report) declares LFA1 but not LFB1, SLIFNR is displayed on the selection screen, but PBUKRS does not appear.
The selection screen of a logical database can contain dynamic selections as well as static ones. Dynamic selections are extra, user-defined selections that the user can make as well as using the static selections defined in the selection include. To improve performance, you should always use this option instead of reading more data than you need and then sorting it out in the application program.
To make dynamic selections available for the node nodeof a logical database, the selection include must contain the following statement:
SELECTION-SCREEN DYNAMIC SELECTIONS FOR NODE|TABLE node.
If the node node is requested by the user of the logical databases, the dynamic selections are included in the selection screen. A user can then choose Dynamic selections to enter extra selections for the corresponding fields. If you call the logical database using the function module LDB_PROCESS, you can pass a corresponding parameter. You can use these selections in dynamic statements in the logical database program to read data. The values of the program-specific selection criteria that you defined for a node for which dynamic selections were available are also passed to the logical database. The user can also define the fields for dynamic selections as a selection view for the logical database.
The selection screen of a logical database is part of the standard selection screen (number 1000) of the executable program to which the logical database is attached. It has a standardized layout - the selection criteria and parameters appear on separate lines in the order in which they were declared. You can change the layout using the SELECTION-SCREENstatement.
The runtime environment generates the selection screen with number 1000 for every program in which the attributes do not contain a different selection screen version. You can prevent certain input fields from the selection screen of a logical database from appearing on the selection screen by defining selection screen versions with a screen number lower than 1000 in the selection include, and entering this version number in the program attributes. By pressing F4 there, you can get an overview of the selection screen versions defined in the logical database concerned. To define a selection screen version, use the statements SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN|END OF VERSION. Within these statements you can use SELECTION-SCREEN EXCLUDEto specify fields that you do not want to appear on the selection screen.
If the attributes of an executable program contain the number of a selection screen version, the version is used in the standard selection screen. Although the input fields that you excluded from the selection screen are not displayed, the corresponding selections still exist, and you can still edit them in the program or by calling the function module LDB_PROCESS.
    DATABASE PROGRAM:
The database program contains the ABAP statements used to read the data and pass it to the user of the logical database. There is a container for special subroutines into which, amongst other things, the data from the database tables is read. These subroutines are called by the reporting processor in the runtime environment in a sequence that has been predefined by the structure. The database program is determined by the structure and selections and can be adapted or expanded to meet your requirements.
The name of the database program of a logical database ldbconforms to the naming convention SAPDBldb. It serves as a container for subroutines, which the ABAP runtime environment calls when a logical database is processed. The sequence of the calls and their interaction with the events in executable programs or the function module LDB_PROCESS depends on the structure of the logical database.
A logical database program usually contains the following subroutines:
    · FORM LDB_PROCESS_INIT
Called once only before the logical database is processed. It prepares it to be called more than once by the function module LDB_PROCESS.
    · FORM INIT
Called once only before the selection screen is processed.
    · FORM PBO
Called before the selection screen is displayed, each time it is displayed. Consequently, it is only called when you use the logical database with an executable program, not with the function module LDB_PROCESS.
    · FORM PAI
Called when the user interacts with the selection screen. Consequently, it is only called when you use the logical database with an executable program, not with the function module LDB_PROCESS. The interface parameters FNAME and MARK are passed to the subroutine.
FNAME contains the name of a selection criterion or parameter on the selection screen.
MARK describes the selection made by the user: MARK = space means that the user has entered a simple single value or range selection. MARK = '*' means that the user has also made entries on the Multiple Selection screen.
    · FORM LDB_PROCESS_CHECK_SELECTIONS
Called instead of the subroutine PAI if the logical database is called using the function module LDB_PROCESS without a selection screen. This subroutine can check the selections passed in the function module interface.
    · FORM PUT_node
Called in the sequence defined in the structure. Reads the data from the node nodeand uses the
    PUT node.
statement to trigger a corresponding GETevent in the ABAP runtime environment. The PUT statement is the central statement in this subroutine: It can only be used within a subroutine of a logical database. The logical database must contain the node node, and the subroutine name must begin with PUT_node. The PUT statement directs the program flow according to the structure of the logical database. The depth to which the logical database is read is determined by the GET statements in the application program or the interface parameter CALLBACK of the function module LDB_PROCESS.
First, the subroutine PUT_root is executed for the root node. The PUT statement then directs the program flow as follows:
    i. If the database program contains the subroutine AUTHORITY_CHECK_node, the first thing the PUT_node statement does is to call it.
ii. Next, the PUT statement triggers a GET event in the runtime environment. If there is a corresponding GET nodestatement in the executable program to which the logical database is linked, the associated event block is processed. If the CALLBACK parameter of the function module LDB_PROCESS is filled accordingly, the corresponding callback routine is called.
iii. The PUT statement directs the program flow
    (a) To the next subroutine of a node that follows directly, if a lower-level node (not necessarily the very next) in the same subtree is requested by GET in the executable program or in the function module.
    (b) To the subroutine of a node at the same level, if the preceding node branches to such a node and if a GET statement exists for such a node in the executable program or the function module.
The PUT statement in that subroutine starts again at step (i). In the subroutine of the lowest node in a subtree to be processed using GET, the program control does not branch further. Instead, the current subroutine is processed further. When a subroutine PUT_node has been executed in its entirety, the program flow returns to the PUTstatement from which it branched to the subroutine PUT_node.
iv. When control has returned from a lower-level subroutine PUT_node, the PUTstatement triggers the event GET node LATEin the runtime environment.
    · FORM AUTHORITY_CHECK_node
Called automatically by the PUT node statement. In this subroutine, you can specify authorization checks for the appropriate node node from the structure of the logical database.
    · FORM PUT_ldb_SP
Called when the user makes a selection using a search help to process the key chosen in the search help. ldb is the name of the logical database. From this subroutine, you can use the entries in the search help tables to read the relevant entries from the root node root. The processing in the program can then be triggered using PUT root. The subroutine PUT_root is then not called automatically.
    · FORM BEFORE_EVENT
Called before an event, the name of which is passed in the parameter EVENT. Currently, the EVENT field can only contain the value START-OF-SELECTION, to call a subroutine before this event.
    · FORM AFTER_EVENT
Called after an event, the name of which is passed in the parameter EVENT. Currently, the EVENT field can only contain the value END-OF-SELECTION, to call a subroutine after this event.
    · FORM par_VAL, selop_VAL, selop-LOW_VAL, selop-HIGH_VAL
Called when the user calls possible values help for the parameter par or the selection criterion selop. These must belong to the selections in the logical database.
    · FORM par_HLP, selop_HLP, selop-LOW_HLP, selop-HIGH_HLP
Called when the user calls possible values help for the parameter par or the selection criterion selop. These must belong to the selections in the logical database.
    Example
Suppose that in the logical database structure, LFB1 is a branch of LFA1.
and that the following selection criteria are defined in the selection include:
    SELECT-OPTIONS: slifnr FOR lfa1-lifnr,
    sbukrs FOR lfb1-bukrs.
A section of the database program would then read:
    FORM put_lfa1.
    SELECT * FROM lfa1
    WHERE lifnr IN slifnr.
    PUT lfa1.
    ENDSELECT.
    ENDFORM.
    FORM put_lfb1.
    SELECT * FROM lfb1
    WHERE lifnr = lfa1-lifnr.
    AND bukrs IN sbukrs.
    PUT lfb1.
    ENDSELECT.
    ENDFORM.
An executable program (report) linked to the logical database could contain the lines:
    GET lfa1.
    WRITE lfa1-lifnr.
    GET lfb1.
    WRITE lfb1-bukrs.
In this example, the runtime environment calls the routine put_lfa1 after the event START-OF-SELECTION. The event GET lfa1 is triggered by the statement PUT lfa1.
Once the corresponding event block in the program is complete, PUT lfa1 branches to the subroutine put_lfb1.
From this subroutine, the event GET lfb1 is triggered in the application program. If LFB1 is the last node to be read, processing resumes with the SELECTloop in put_lfb1. Otherwise, the program flow moves to the subroutine put_node of the next node. At the end of the SELECT loop of the last node, processing resumes in the SELECTloop of the node at the next level up. The example of programming using nested SELECT loops is only used to make the program flow clearer. In a real logical database, you would avoid doing this in order to minimize the number of database accesses.

  • What exactly does the colaece option do in TOAD software

    Hi,
What exactly does the colaece option do in TOAD software.
    Regards,
    MuruguPandian P

Coalesce will take ADJACENT free space and coalesce it into one larger free chunk.
A free extent in a dictionary-managed tablespace is made up of a collection of contiguous free blocks. When allocating new extents to a tablespace segment, the database uses the free extent closest in size to the required extent. In some cases, when segments are dropped, their extents are deallocated and marked as free, but adjacent free extents are not immediately recombined into larger free extents. The result is fragmentation that makes allocation of larger extents more difficult.
You should often use the ALTER TABLESPACE ... COALESCE statement to manually coalesce any adjacent free extents. To Coalesce a tablespace give the following command
    SQL> alter tablespace ica coalesce;

  • Why does "SELECT * FROM [database].[schema].[table]" not work in Azure ?

    Hi all
In Microsoft Azure I have 2 databases.
I work since more than 10 years with T-SQL and I always use
fully qualified object names, means "[database].[schema].[table]".
When I now make a connection to my database "A" in Azure and
write a Query against database "B" ("SELECT * FROM [B].[schema].[table]")
I get an exception. Of course when I connect to database "B" it works
but again not to database "A". When I use "SELECT * FROM [schema].[table]"
with the right database connected, it also works in Azure.
Hope you understand what I mean :-)
In MS-SQL, this of course works fine.
Well my question is: What sense does this make ??
Do I now have to re-write everything just for azure or will this behavior changed sometimes ?
I know MS-SQL is not the same like Azure-SQL, but hey; does Microsoft think all projects have only one database ?? :-)
    Thanks for any answer
    Frank

    Hi Frank,
According to your description, you want to retrieval data cross database in SQL Azure, right?
As June said, Currently cross database joins are not supported in SQL Azure. Also you cannot change database mid query so you cannot, for example, put a USE [MyDB] in your query either. Please refer to the link below to see the details.
    http://www.britishdeveloper.co.uk/2011/11/cross-database-joins-in-sql-azure.html
If you have any concern about this behavior, you can submit a feedback at
http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/Feedback and hope it is resolved in the next release of service pack or product. Your feedback enables Microsoft to make software and services the best that they can be, Microsoft might consider to add this feature
in the following release after official confirmation.

  • How does fail-over database work

    Hi,
I have two databases of oracle 10g running on linux and windows. I have to make one of these databasse as a failover database. What is the solution.
Oracle Fail Safe works only in microsft clustered server i.e mostly in windows environments.
What if the both the databases are from different os, then Failsafe doesnt work.
If anyone can suggest me the techonology for this kind of scenario, I would be very thankful.

Thanks for the replies.  What I have been able to determine from how we run our KKBC_HOE is that we run KKRC just for the current month.  Then we run KKBC_HOE for the current month.  The KKBC_HOE picks up all activity for the "actual" column that has occurred during that month.  But the Target column only get poppulated if the order is marked DLV or TECO.
To measure overall performance you really would need to run this report over several months.  Also, does anyone know if the target is taking the standard cost per unit X Planned order quantity or does it take Standard Cost X Actuall Quantity received?
Although there is a Target line based on the actual number of cases received it seems like the rest of the report is based on the Order Planned amount.  I'm trying to figure out if we have all our switches set right for this report.
    Thanks for your feedback.

  • How does APEX create and save new files. What extension does it save in?

Hi can someone help me with this question?
How does APEX create and save new files. What extension does it save in?
    Cheers!
    VJ

It's really too bad we can't see VJ's face when the concept sinks in. This is one of my favorite moments when teaching APEX classes. Most people love it, some people don't. If nothing else it really proves the power and performance of the Oracle database. Each page view can generate 40+ queries, yet on the average system this takes less than .04 seconds.
Keep in mind there are no undocumented features or "Oracle Internals" that the APEX team uses to achieve this performance, just sound database design. With every feature they add they evaluate how it will be used and design the tables and indexes to most efficiently answer the query. Sometimes this means going against "purist" normalized principals.

  • Does the Repair Database Option Remove Duplicates?

My main question is does the repair database option also delete some duplicates? I ask because I recently had an issue with importing some duplicates. Before tackling the process of removing the dups, I decided to go ahead and repair the database since I imported a bunch of files and wanted to make sure everything was working correctly. After the repair database completed, I noticed that I had about 2k fewer images in my database. Luckily I had backed it up before I ran the repair. I opened up the backup and so far all I see missing are some of the dups. I spot checked at least 10 different projects and all the original masters seem to be there.
I wasn't aware that repair would actually remove files. I wish it would have removed all of them but I still kind of find this to be weird as that was an unexpected function. What do you guys think?

Neither  of the first aid options, repair or rebuild, intentionally target duplicates. Any files removed by either of those procedures were removed because of some inconsistency in the database.
After either of those run you might see a new project in your library named Recovered. This contains any orphaned image files, files for which Aperture could not place in a project.

  • Tour got wet - here's what it does - how can I tell if it is "fried"?

My Blackberry Tour (from 2009 - Blackberry device manager says I am running BB OS 4.7.1)  got wet in a rainstorm (phone was outside, not submerged, the wetness indicator strip on the battery has not had a line appear on it but a tab inside the phone is all red) approx. 5 days ago - I did some of what I should have done and some of what I probably should not have done as far as patience, lack of patience, letting it dry (in gentle heat (no hair dryer, etc. or rice), giving it a try... Here's what it does - my main questions are - do I have any hope of rescuing my contacts data - unfortunately, never backed-up?  If so, how?:
    - Without the Battery in:  Connected by USB cable to my laptop (plugged-in, USBs powered) (Windows 7; Blackberry Desktop version 5 (installed from the CD that came with the phone)) finds the phone in Windows device manager (Blackberry Smartphone connected via USB), as above, Blackberry device manager shows status as connected, can identify the phone's PIN, Blackberry Desktop Manager can see that the phone is connected (can see it's PIN) but shows that the device is in Disconnected State, the screen on the phone shows the battery with red X through it.
    With a Battery In:
    - the battery with red X goes away,
typically starts with a red indicator light, then changes to black screen with hour glass,
    - then to black screen with "BlackBerry" and progress bar (showing boot progress?).
    - Boot progress bar completes,
    - the screen shows the Verizon logo, then
    - I get a flash (sometimes longer than others) of my desktop picture (it's one of the pre-loaded ones that is not on the micro-SD card, which I have removed).
    - At this point there is a new progress bar which indicates that the phone is checking security settings (I cannot remember verbatim what it says, but it typically completes and, since I probably shouldn't be powering it on, I will not do that to get an exact quote; suffice to say, that usually completes).
    - In terms of the desktop, I can also see that, in addition to my selected picture being there , the phone remembers my alarm time at 6:40AM).
    - A couple of times when I restarted it, I held down the escape/back button during the boot and launched the phone in safe mode ("safe mode" appeared at the top of the screen - a dialog appeared that explained safe mode and allowed me to click "ok" that I accepted that I knew what safe mode was.
    - Whether in safe mode or not, it usually at this point returned to the initial power-up sequence, in a loop, between the red indicator light and the hourglass animation - it does not return to the screen with the "BlackBerry" logo with progress bar, just the aforementioned loop.
At this point, I have tried two batteries - both Blackberry OEM, but with known/potential issues:  1.) the battery that was in the phone at the time it got wet - is approx. a year old (in terms of use), but was holding a reliable charge for 3-4 hours of talk time and
2.) an older battery which may have been the one that was replaced by battery 1 or may be older - it almost certainly had diminshed charge holding capacity and had started the bulge that lithium batteries develop as the near death.  These batteries were not obtaining much, if any, in the way of  charge while in the phone plugged in, but did, outwardly (light changed from orange to green on a Blackberry OEM charger form the D-X1 battery; have not done a test with a circuit tester, etc.), accept a charge via the outside the phone method.  When using the inside the phone method - prior to any outside charging - during the boot-up process, at the point at which I could see my desktop, the indicator light flashed with the orange light and/or the indicator that one typically gets when the battery is lacking needs a re-charge).
I have received and I am currently charging a new D-X1 Blackberry OEM battery, via the aforementioned Blackberry OEM outside the phone charger, for a go-around with the closest thing that I can get to a no problems battery.
OK, I am an **bleep**: I tried to re-boot the phone right away, I wasn't doing a back-up (though I thought that it was 1.) the reason that I was buying a Blackberry with an SD card - that this information was going to be portable and 2.) that I thought that the tech from Verizon, way back when I bought it, set the phone up to store the information on the SD card (no such luck, not there) or the SIM card - how could I test that? (which is, perhaps, why I thought that a backup was taking place).  Anyway, as you can tell, I have tried to be as descriptive as possible herein to say what I am seeing, because there are a number of other people with similar problems posting in various places, but, not really the same problems (they are getting stuck on a white screen, not getting all the way through the boot that I describe, had a phone in the pool all day, don't care about the data, just trying to save the phone (I was lax about an upgrade, because I liked my phone and I had a decent outlay of cash in the phone to start-off - was pushing to make it to this fall, hopefully not much longer, to get the newer Blackberry Classic coming out... hopefully with my contact listing being ported over).  That said, I have found plenty of evidence that suggests saving the phone is a real possibility, but the data may be more of a challenge.
Huge post, looking for thoughts - thanks for any consideration given to my problems.

if booted up with out all the way dry you might have fried it
put it in a bag of rice for a few days in a nice warm spot 90-100 F
then try it again if it still does the same thing then its toast

  • I'm trying to transfer music from iTunes on an old PC that uses an external storage device to a new PC (Windows 7) that will use that same external storage device.  I am also dealing with new iTunes 11.  How do I do this??  What folder does iTunes use?

I'm trying to transfer music from iTunes on an old PC (Windows Vista Home Basic) that uses an external storage device to store the files to a new PC (Windows 7 Starter) that will use that same external storage device.  I am also dealing with the new iTunes 11.  How can I accomplish this successfully?    What folder does iTunes use to store the data in?  I've tried several things.  Home Sharing caused duplicates but not all songs or apps transfered.  It is a large library! I've tried just setting the path in the Advanced Tab of iTunes preferences of the new computer with the external drive connected the same as the path when the external drive is connected to the old computer.  This was the best solution so far but still a few artists missing and some apps. Any suggestions?

Here are typical layouts for the iTunes folders:
With iTunes 11 you might also have a Home Videos folder inside iTunes Media.
In the simplest cases you copy the entire iTunes folder from <User's Music> on the source computer to <User's Music> on the target machine, install iTunes, and it "just works"TM.
If the media folder (inside the red outline) has been split out to a separate location then you can copy the library folder (outside the red outline) as before and connect the drive holding the media so that it has exactly the same path as before. If the drive appears as D: on one system and E: on the other then the library won't be able to find the media.
The crucial file is iTunes Library.itl - this contains a record of the tracks that have been added to the library, ratings, play counts, playlists etc.

  • HT4859 when you go to do this it say that your iPod or whichever device will no longer be backed up to the computer it is currently backed up to, what exactly does that mean? Will i not be able to sync my iPod from that computer?

when you go to do this it say that your iPod or whichever device will no longer be backed up to the computer it is currently backed up to, what exactly does that mean? Will i not be able to sync my iPod from that computer? Please help me and answer either or both question detailed thanks

Normally when you sync your device it is automatically backed up to your computer as the first step in the sync process.  When you choose to start backing up your device to iCloud, iTunes stops automatically backing it up on your computer when you sync.  That's what the message is telling your; that you are now backing up to iCloud and not to your computer each time you sync.  You can still manually back up to your computer any time you want by going to the Summary tab and clicking on Back Up Now under Manually Back Up and Restore.
You can still sync your device as you did before, it just will no longer back up automatically when you do.

  • To what extent does auto-syncing work...?

I have researched this but can not find the answer anywhere.
I need to know to what extent does auto-syncing work?
I started my library quite some time ago, and I didn't want to use the auto-sync feature. My library has grown very large and to be honest, I still wouldn't mind doing the manual syncing if my behavior and/or needs hadn't changed. However, I am now going back and adding artwork and making some slight modifications to several songs. Overall, through one type of change or another, this will affect the vast majority of my library. What I need to know is if I were to make info-related changes, will the syncing make the modifications on the ipod, or will they be ignored?
For instance, here are some of the types of changes that I am beginning to make:
    - Adding Artwork.
    - Changing a track name from "Living in a box" to "Livin' in a box"
    - Adding info to the various fields such as album author, comments.
    - Modifying a track name from "Love is a Battlefield" to "Love Is A Battlefield"
    - Changing an album name from "Miami Vice Soundtrack" to "Miami Vice [Soundtrack]" or "Shrek (Soundtrack)" to "Shrek [Soundtrack]"
    - Updating an artist's name from "Jackson Five" to "Jackson 5"
Any insights would be most appreciative.
    Bill

While in Manual sync, any changes you make in iTunes will not get put onto the iPod until you drag the songs over.
Any changes you make on the iPod thru iTunes will not be on the original in iTunes.
    Any rating,
Any reason you are using manual sync instead of Auto sync?
If you don't want (or can't) to put everything in iTunes on the iPod, use selected playlists and manage those playlists.
When you make changes to the songs in iTunes, they will get updated onto the iPod automatically.

  • In what QOS does the receiver SOAP adapter work BE or EO?

    Hi,
In what QOS does the receiver SOAP adapter work BE or EO?
My guess is that it is by default EO, if so how do i make it work like synchronous?
There is no option to set it explicitly.
    Thanks]
    Shakthi

    Siva,
In receiving adapter you can't set the status. The receiving QOS is set in the pipeline by using the Sender Comm.channel QOS.
So for example in SOAP to SOAP scenario, if you set the Sender comm.channel as BE, then through out the Pipeline till it reaches the Receiver Comm.channel the QOS will be considered as BE only( Even though you didn't explicitly said to the Receiver comm.channel).
    Hope it helps!
    raj.

  • What exactly does the AppleCare cover for MacBook Pro with Retina Display?

I purchased the extended protection plan for my MacBook Pro with Retina Display 15" and my question is what exactly does it cover in what kind of situations (i.e. viruses, damaged ports, damaged charger, etc.)? I want to be able to take full advantage of the protection plan since it was a pretty big whole in my wallet.

AppleCare covers all the problems you have with your MacBook Pro with Retina display and the peripherals which came with it (your charger) if you have a hardware problem that you didn't cause. For example, after 2 or 3 years and 1000 charges, OS X says that your battery has to be replaced: in this case, you have to pay for the battery, because batteries have got a lifetime, and Unibody Macs batteries have got an average lifetime of about 1000 charges.
However, if the RAM gets damaged and you haven't done anything to cause it, you will get your computer repaired or replaced for free. AppleCare in a MacBook Pro with Retina display is very important, because near all the parts are soldered into the logic board and repairs are expensive

Itunes document manager pro will not open a document with .cwk extension. It will catch the document then error message states that it cannot open document. Can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong?

Forgive my ignorance but I have never hear of iTunes Document Manager Pro. If you mean Document Manager Pro, i was able to find that. Back to your problem, have you tried opening one of those files in the iOS iWorks apps? Form the quick read that I did about this, .cwk files can be opened by Pages, Numbers or Keynote, depending on what type of document that it is and those files can be read by Document Manager Pro, after properly saving them. I don't see that you can go directly from the .cwk file in Document Manager Pro without converting them first.
I took a very quick look at the app, so I may be a missing something about its capability.
