  • What is meant by an Activity in Business One

    Hi All,
What is meant by an Activity in Business One.I studied it in Business One Help, but it is not much helpful.I want a brief description regarding Activities(help me by taking an example).Where this activity used(only in Sales Opportunities and Service modules).
Help me regarding this or send me the related links that suit to my Question
    Thanks & Regards,
    Saleem

Maybe I don't understand your question, but I think this is no a SDK issue.
An activity can be a call, a meeting, a task, any interaction with a customer that you want to keep record.
So, lets say you have a sales opprotunity, and in the first meeting you came up with a follow up meeting. Then, you open the sales opportunity in SAP, and add an activity for that opportunity, detailing when, where is the meeting, who will go,what do you have to show, etc. You can set a reminder so you don't miss this meeting.
    Hope this helps

  • What will I see when doing site survey with WRT and WRE?

I have just successfully setup with security, my WRE54G to my WRT54GS.  It wasnt easy, lots of resets and disabling of security, but I didnt have to set a statis IP (which I am happy about)
However, now that I am searching for a connection on my laptop (wirelessly) I see to available networks but both are with the same name (the name of my original wireless network).
Is this right?  If so, this gets confusing as I am not sure which I am connecting too.
Then if I change from one to another, I have to enter in the passphrase, which gets annoying.
Is there anyway to have a differnent name of my Wireless network vs the Wireless Expander?

The RE, as I understand it, just extends the router signal that it is connected to. That is why it is imperative that the setup be EXACTLY the same. In my case, I stupidly put some capital letters in my SSID but didn't put them in when I setup the RE. Took me the longest time to figure that out....That you see two "networks" on site survey is OK. That you can connect to them differently is weird and that you have to enter the security passphrase suggests that you really haven't been successful in setup. So, Dibbler's advice is correct. Make sure the router and RE settings are the same and the firmware is upgraded.
I can't tell what device I am connected to and I really don't care. I just know that the place I was connecting from prior to the RE was far from the router and I would get the "limited connection" warning and no internet. With the RE and closer to my laptop, I always get "excellent" signal and an internet connection. I assume I'm connecting to the RE but it is seamless.
Also, make sure you the supply the MAC address of the router if the RE is v.1. Got that from the full user guide at the Linksys WRE54g product page.
If you really want different SSIDs I think you need to get a bridged access point.

  • I have two BC sites. One is working while the other isn't.

I have designed thoughtcake5.businesscatalyst.com and macademia.businesscatalyst.com in Adobe Muse. The ThoughtCake BC site shows up in my browser but "the server can't be found" for Macademia. This had been the case for several days now.
Any explaination or help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

    Hi rgrtht,
It appears that the System and Secure URL for the site 'macademia' was not returning an A-record. I have since rectified this issue and I can confirm that these URLs will now resolve to your Business Catalyst site. If not, please clear your browser cache and try again.
Regarding thoughtcake5.businesscatalyst.com, I'm unable to locate a site that use this URL. However I can see other sites associated with your account that have similar names that do not have similar issues.
    Cheers.

  • ML81n 101 in one month and 102 in other month, what to do now ?

    Hello Gurus,
I`ve done 101 in ml81n in previos month and 102 in current.
I`ve deleted all the service enrty sheets, what should i do now to post it in current month ?
    thanks for Your help

    Hi,
As I believed, Last month you have  created the Service Entry Sheet in ML81N for  250 & got SES number and then  release the Service Entry Sheet, then only FI document created with 101 movement type.
Now you want to cancel the total transaction with accounting entries.
So, 1st cancel the release the of SES number created in ML81N(green flag) or in ML85 t.code with release code, so that FI entries will be reversed with 102 movement type and then Delete service entry sheet in ML81N.Check in t.code: MMRV, back posting allowed or not for your company code.
As required by you ,again do create service entry with PO and create service entry sheet(SES) and then release the SES for FI document creation with 101 movement type for accounting entries.

  • What is meant by return tables?

what is meant by return table?
    with one example

    hi
Return tables are used in cases where one record from the transaction translates into multiple records - something like cost allocations - you book an expense to the company for $1000 and that $1000 has to be translated into
    $200 for your cost center
$500 for the general cost center
    $300 to the project
this data ofcourse need not come from the transaction where you will have one line saying $1000 - you could have these weights maintained in a separate table in BW and do the cost allocation while receiving the data.
You can find a lot of information about the same in the FI related extractors / Update rules - or even more specific - the CO area..
    hope it helps..
    cheers.

I'm trying to connect my MacBook Pro running on OS 10.8.2 to a Linksys EA3500 router and when I go to click on the set up icon I get an "unsupported operating system". Any suggestions on what to do? The Linksys site is useless. Do I need some kind of upgrade?

Don't use the CD software its not necessary.
Infact put it in the trash.
Your router will have an IP address in the range 192.168.1.1
Connect your router to your Mac via Ethernet cable (They usually supply one with the router and don't worry which end goes where the Mac LAN socket is bi-directional)
Also connect your router to your telephone line.
Now open your Web browser Safari . Type in the IP address above and a Javascript control panel will launch
Enter the default password and username (They are on a label on the router )
Your now have the ability to set up your router.
Your will need the password and user name supplied to you by your ISP at a minimum.
Enter these and most modern routers automatically configure the basic networking setting.
You now need to go to the security setting and set this as WPA2 Personal (NOT Enterprise) or WPA2 with AES and TKIP which ever it refers to and create a pass-phase. WRITE it down
    You should be online.
Now remove the cable and connect to the Wifi and enter that passphase.

  • What is meant by costing key?

    Dear Experts ,
while releasing the billing document to accounts , i am getting  error like
Valuation with material cost estimate: error, The system looked for the material cost estimate using costing key "002", as defined in the Customizing settings for CO-PA,  incomplete due to FI/CO interface
what is meant by costing key?
    regards
    rajakarthik

    Hi,
In Costing based Profitability analysis you define costing keys. A costing key is a set of access parameters which are used in valuation to determine which data in Product cost planning should be read. In the costing key you attach the costing variant.
In the costing key you specify whether the system should read the current standard cost estimate, the previous standard cost estimate or the future standard cost estimate or a saved cost estimate.
The configuration settings to determine this costing key is as follows:
Assign costing keys to the products u2013 Three costing keys can be attached to a single product for a specific point of valuation, record type, plan version.
Assign costing keys to Material types
Assign costing keys to any characteristics u2013 You can use your own strategy to determine the costing keys. This is through user defined assignment tables.

  • Dispute Case Key (Replicated) (0DPM_D10); what is meant by Replicated?

    Hi everyone,
I am working on implementing FSCM Dispute Managment module. I have some questions regarding the new standard content provided by SAP for this:
Earlier I have seen clients using the Stanadard InfoSet 0DPM_I0 for all the Dispute's reporting as it combines data from AR, Dispute Case key and 0Customer. But now I am seeing a bunch of new objects like 0DPM_M10, 0DPM_M20, 0DPM_C10, 0DPM_D10, 0DPM_DCAS_10 etc. provided by SAP as standard content.
Does any one have any experience with this new content; can anyone explain me how this new content is useful. My client is reluctant against using the standard InfoSet as its is built on two DSO's; I have suggested to build a cube on top of them and can still use an InfoSet to combine AR line items, Disputes, Dispute case key and Customer. Correct me if I am wrong with thid statement.
Also please let me know what is meant by a Replicated DSO.
Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    SRV

There are a few things to consider:
         1) The data is stored in deserialized form until it is read. The first read will deserialize the data.
         2) There is some overhead per-entry. 750MB/(3,000,000-30) = ~250 bytes per entry. Some portion of this is attributable to the per-entry overhead.
         3) How did you measure memory usage? Usually invoking <tt>System.gc()</tt> before measuring heap usage will clear garbage but is not guaranteed.
