What is restriction passcode of iPhone 5?

Anyone knows the restriction passcode of iPhone 5

Try 0000
I never set either passcode but Restrictions required one to get in so I tried a typical passcode that I might have used.  It didn't work so I tried 0000 and it worked.

To restore as a new device, connect your phone to your computer, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Restore.  At the end of the process you will go through the setup process again and will be given the option to restore from backup or set it up as a new iPhone.  Choose to set it up as a new iPhone (see image below).
Before doing this import your photos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and back up your contacts and calendar by syncing them with iCloud (go to Settings>iCloud, set Calendars and Contacts to On).  After restoring your phone as new, sync it with iTunes to restore your apps, music and other iTunes media to your phone.  You will have to set up iMessage and FaceTime again, as well as your email accounts.  You wlll lose your text messages and app data as they are stored in the backup you can't use.

what do I do if I don't know what my restriction passcode is ?

To remove it you will have to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings and then restore from a backup that predates the addition of the restrictions passcode.  Or redownload all of your apps and music content.

How do i restore the restricted passcode in iphone 5

    Hi, SAVREET.
Thank you for the question.  If you lose or forget a restriction passcode, you will need to perform a factory restore to remove it.  Below, I have included the article that walks you through the restore process.
    iOS: Understanding Restrictions (Parental Controls)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4213

Make sure to import all media, pictures and personal data to your computer prior to a restore.

I know exactly what my restrictions passcode is meant to be (I have even written it down) but it has strangely changed itself. I cannot delete apps anymore and it has been getting on my nerves. I am worried that I will lose my purchased films and books and my pages documents if I perform a factory restore. What do I do?

To remove the Restrictions passcode you will need to either...

You'll have to restore the iPhone to its factory default settings. Connect it to your computer, open iTunes, select your iPhone from Devices list, click Restore. Everything on your iPhone will be erased. Anything in iTunes can be synced back over once the restore is done.

  • Restrictions passcode on iphone 4 changed by IOS 7.0.2?

I have set a restrictions passcode to both of my daughter's iphones restricting features and functions, one of them being the inability to change account features (like find my iphone - more on that in a moment).
In trying to disable the restrictions temporarily to install some apps, I have discovered that the passcode is no longer the one that I entered and have been locked out of making these changes. The same restrictions passcode does work on my other daughter's iphone. I have tried over a dozen of different lock codes, working around the failed attempt feature by changing the date and time on the device each time, none of them work.
I am guessing that somehow the recent upgrade to ios 7 and then 7.0.2 may have been responsible as the phone lock code changed on 3 of my other ios devices one morning without any rhyme or reason shortly after the first ios 7 upgrade. This is another matter that resolved itself after a few hours. weird thing is that it was the same passcode that is giving me trouble on this device now.
In an attempt to restore the problem phone from a recent backup (dated 9/2013 and preceeding the ios upgrade bs) I was asked to disable the find my iphone feature before it will let me restore from this backup. Unfortunately, since I have set this as a feature on her phone that cannot change without first entering the restrictions passcode I cannot disable this feature at all.
    What the heck???
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your prompt reply diesel vdub.
Maybe I wasn't clear that I did not actually forget my passcode although I can understand this being the kneejerk response as this seems to be a popular topic on the forums.
The passcode literally changed to something else.
Since it is a passcode that I use on my other ios devices and I'm the only one authorized to change it, it is my presumption that some other event occurred and all fingers point to the recent ios 7 upgrades especially given the information shared with me by several of my colleagues that the ios 7 upgrade rebooted their devices with a lock code that never existed prior to the upgrade. I should point out that each person is very competent technically.
This is a bug perhaps that will be addressed witn ios 7.0.3??

  • How do I reset the RESTRICTIONS Passcode on iPhone 4s

My teenager got to this before I did!
How do I reset the Restrictions Passcode on his iPhone?
Will this even work to restrict web content?
I could swear that I remember being able to do this via iTunes when the phone was plugged in, but that functionality doesnt seem to be there.
I see that I can restrict adult material (songs, R movies and etc) on all phones on the account via iTunes, but I dont see how to customize every individual phone on the account with different restrictions...
    Help...
    thank you

Is it not possible to have a reminder sent to the account holder (ie:me) to reset, like when a passord for anything thing else is forgotton?    Just dread wiping the whole thing and re-setting up......
Also, do you know if it controls web access?  I seem to remember and itunes content and volume control on the last parental control I used on an iphone, but that was atleast a year ago on a 3GS.
    Thx again

  • Is there a difference between the passcode and the restrictions passcode, in iphone 6?

After my 8.3 update, the pass code for unlocking my phone is not the same as the "restrictions pass code". I tried to restore my phone and created a new unlock pass code and I still cannot get past the Restrictions Pass code. ugg

There is something going on here. I'm 100% sure that my restriction code was the same as my unlock too, and after updating to 8.3, I can't get in restrictions.
Before updating, I had change my passcode for unlocking to the same as the restriction. The iphone haven't said a thing about that but I sure remember that I couldn't put the same passcode when I created the restricion one. Maybe you couldn't put the same unlock code in the restriction code but when you already created the restriction one, and tries to change the unlock code to the same as the restriction, it worked and bugged the restriction when I updated.

  • HT1212 what if i cant remember my restrictions passcode?

    Hello!
I can't remember my Restrictions Passcode and I am now on attempt #10.  Is there a way to reset it?

How to Recover Forgotten iPhone Restrictions Passcode | The iPhone and iPad Blog
If You Are Locked Out Or Have Forgotten Your Passcode or Just Need to Restore Your Device
      1. iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
      2. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
      3. iOS- Understanding passcodes
If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
         1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
         2. Connect your device to your computer.
         3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
         4. Select the Summary tab.
         5. Select the Restore option.
         6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the
Back Up option. If you have just backed up the device, it is not necessary
              to create another.
         7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
         8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
             logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
backup to restore, then restore as New.
If you are restoring to fix a forgotten Restrictions Code or as a New device, then skip Step 9 and restore as New.
