I had an Apple ID which I used for iCloud. I upgraded the iCloud account and changed the apple ID to a @me address. Now I can't view what was in my original apple ID account. How can I get what was stored on the original account?

I recently changed my lap top. My problem is the new lap top won't accept my apple I D it asked me to sing up for a new one which I did.
I am puzzled by this. The laptop doesn't need the Apple ID - but iTunes does. I could be missing something but ....
Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID? -
What is stored in a transaction log file?
What does the transaction log file store? Is it the blocks of transactions to be executed, is it the snapshot of records before beginning the
execution of a transaction or is it just the statements found in a transaction block? Please advice.
mayooran99yes, it will store all the values before and after that were modified. you, first, have to understand the need for transaction log, then, it will start to become apparent, what is stored in the transaction log
before the transaction can be committed, sql server will make sure that all the information is hardened on the transaction log,so if a crash happens, it can still recover\restore the data.
when you update some data - the data is feteched into memory and updated- transaction log makes note of it(before and after values etc).see, at this point, the changes were done but not physically present in the data page, they present only in the memory.
so, if crash happens(before a check piont\lazy writer could be issued), you will that data...this where transaction log comes handy, because all this information is stored in physical file of transaction log. so, when your server comes back on, if the transaction
is committed, the transaction log will roll forward this iinformation
when a checkpoint\lazy writer happens, in simple recovery, the transaction log for that txn is cleared out, if there are no other older active txns.
in full recovery you will take log backups, to clear that txn from the transaction log.
in transaction log data generally is faster because 1. it is written sequentialyl...it will track the data pageno, lsn and other details that were modified and makes a note of it.
similar to data cache, there is also transaction log cache, that makes this process faster.. all transactions before being committed, it will wait to make sure everything related to the txn is written to the transaction log on disk.
i advice you to pick up - kalen delaney, sql internals book and read - recovery an logging chapter..for more and better understanding...
Hope it Helps!! -
What is stored in 7410 printer memory?
I am trying to understand two things. 1.) What is stored in the memory of the 7410 all in one; and 2.) does unplugging it clear the memory?.
The Officejet 7410 memory includes the number of pages printed, scanned and copied (but not any of the actual content). There is also a fax log that contains information on what numbers have been called (or received from), the duration, the number of pages and the date.
You can clear the fax memory by resetting the printer - turn off the printer and unplug the power, then plug it back in while holding the # and 6 buttons in. This will eventually indicate "Semi-full reset" on the screen, release the # and 6 buttins and press OK. After the reset you can press setup, 2, 3 to print a FAX report to verify there is no FAX information left.
If you are disposing of the printer make sure you also remove any memory cards inserted into the camera card slots in the front.

My Apple TV memory is getting full. How do I see what is stored on the Apple TV and how do I erase content?
Apps cannot be removed much less added to the device.
Only content from the iTunes store (movies, tv shows, music) can be added/removed on the 1st Gen ATV.
Again, the 2nd and 3rd Gen ATVS have no onboard storage for content and would generate no such message.
Just curious, has your ATV been jailbroken? If it has, no support can be provided via these forums. -
HT204053 can i acess my icloud to see whats being stored ?
can i access my icloud account to see whats being stored ?
Hello real humper,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iCloud: iCloud storage and backup overview
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12519?viewlocale=en_US
Here’s what iCloud backs up:
Purchased music, movies, TV shows, apps, and booksYour iCloud backup includes information about the content you have purchased, but not the purchased content itself. When you restore from an iCloud backup, your purchased content is automatically downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBookstore based on iTunes in the Cloud availability by country. Previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer available in the store.
Photos and videos in your Camera Roll
Device settings
App data
Home screen and app organization
iMessage, text (SMS), and MMS messages
Ringtones
Visual Voicemail
Your iOS device backup only includes data and settings stored on your device. It doesn't include data already stored in iCloud, for example contacts, calendars, bookmarks, mail messages, notes, shared photo streams, and documents you save in iCloud using iOS apps and Mac apps.
Best of luck,

What is stored under "other" category on the iPad?
The long and short of it is that you will probably have to restore your iPad. That giant "other" space is a sign of a corrupt file from a sync, I am pretty sure, but I am quite sure that the way to resolve it is to restore the iPad.
You can search the discussion site for similar threads but I think you will find that a restore is the way to correct it. Read this one.

Where are my photos located if I use LR CC. What is stored in the Cloud?
Where are my photos located if I use LR CC. What is stored in the Cloud?
With the desktop version of Lightroom CC, nothing is stored in the cloud, nothing can be accessed directly by Lightroom in the cloud, and the Lightroom CC program is installed locally on your computer. The creative cloud is used as a delivery system to provide you with updates and to validate that you are keeping your creative cloud account current. If you decide to do so, you can create collections of your images and share them in the cloud. And if you have a supported mobile device you can install Lightroom Mobile on that device and work on those images that have been shared in the cloud. But basic operation of Lightroom CC is no different than it has ever been.

What is stored, in addition to contacts, on the iPhone sim card?
Other than Contacts, what is stored on the iphone sim card?
The iPhone can store contacts to the SIM Card, but this is not supported by Apple, but the iPhone can actually write to the SIM Card. The iPhone can read contacts from the SIM Card, so if any contacts are present, it can read them perfectly.
The SIM Card stores your personal phone number and has the User specific Carrier ICCID number among other possible proprietary information. -
What is stored in the other category for space?
I am showing a lot of space consumed under the other category when using iTunes. What is consuming all this space?
Hello ih82work
Other is comprised of Settings, Siri voices, and other system data is what is typically stored there. Also keep in mind that it may have data that may have been partially download or synced across of iTunes and potentially interrupted.

How can I determine what is stored under "other" on my iphone
When I synch my iPhone 4S, there is a fair amount of memory tied up in "other", but I don't know what is in there. How can I see and manage what is being stored in "other"?
Its going to continue to happen,
You can do a restore using iTunes which will remove a big chunk of the Other stuff. It also includes things like email, and apps that didn't download properly.
I did a restore as new and then loaded my apps, music, etc and got back a couple gigs of room.
the easies thing you can do is not to keep too much email saved on your phone. I only keep a couple of weeks back and that saves me a lot of room. I can always get on a computer and log into my email accounts if I need something older than that. -
Meta data - what is stored in the file and what is JUST referenced in Itunes
wondering if anyone knows why some data is ONLY store in itunes but not pernament added to the 'get info' for the file.
example beats per minute .
I would think that ALL info added to a file in itunes would be stored in the 'get info' section of the actual file.
is there a doc that details what is store and what is not.
thanksFritz,
BPM is definitely stored in the MP3 file, and will be there if you copy the file and use it somewhere else.
Like Limnos, I have not see a nice summary, but here are the basics:
Identifying information about the song, such as Artist, Title, Year, etc are stored as tags in the file for most audio types. The exception is WAV files, which have limited tag capability.
Library-specific information, such as Date Added, Last Played, Play Count, etc, are stored in the library, not in the file.
And then there are some complicated things:
iTunes puts the Rating in the library, even though the tag is capable of storing it (and other players, such as WMP, use the rating tag).
Artwork is in the song file if it was added by pasting in using Get Info, but is in the Artwork folders if it was added using the Get Album Artwork command. -

What gets stored in RoboHelp .cpd file?
We are using VSTS to store our RoboHelp project. My coworker
and I each check out the entire project (unlocked), do our work,
and then check everything back in. We are having problems checking
in the .cpd file. Can someone explain what type of changes are
being stored in this file?
When we check this file back in to VSTS we don't have the
option of merging in the other user's changes, so we don't know
what type of information we may be losing. Does anyone have
experience with using RoboHelp and VSTS together? If not, just some
overall information about what is in the .cpd file would be very
helpful.Hi Harvey, and thank you for the welcome!
We have added our RoboHelp project to Microsoft Visual Studio
Team Server for a couple of reasons. The first is to make sure we
don't lose our work if one of our computers crashes. The other
reason is that we are storing our project in the directory with the
code for the software, so that we (our architects) can integrate it
into the software build process. That part is beyond me.
So, to answer your question, we can both check the files out
without locking them, and then we can each work on our own sections
without any problems. The .cpd file does not give us the same merge
choices as other "conflicts" do. For example, if my coworker
creates a new topic and then checks her code in before I check mine
in, when I try to check mine in it says there's a conflict - that
such and such a file exists on the server. Then it gives me the
option of merging it in with my version of the project since I
didn't have it before. With the .cpd file, I don't get the option
to merge her changes in with mine. My two options are to discard
the server changes (hers) or undo my local changes. Either way it
seems like we're losing something.
I think what Leon said about that file not being added to
source control seems correct. However, if all the rest of the
project is in source control, and that one is not, and my coworker
and I have 2 different versions on our machines, what happens when
we go to compile our help? Wouldn't that file need to be in the
same location as the rest of the project files?
Unless we can figure this out, we have decided to take a copy
of the project and put it out on another computer that gets backed
up regularly. We can work on it there without source control, and
then replace the source control project with the newer version on a
regularly scheduled basis. Hopefully that will work.
I appreciate all the feedback! -
What is stored in 'other' on iPad
In looking through the capacity bar for my iPad while connected to iTunes, there is a category called other. What is typically stored under that category?
Regards,
RPH"Other" includes data such as contact information and photos assigned to contacts, calendar events, Safari bookmarks/cookies/history, notes created with the Notes application, SMS messages, email stored locally or cached, and 3rd party application data created and stored by the application, Calendar entries, and that type of content.
Data that is associated with apps but not the apps, books, media or photos themselves.
