What is the commands for SQL server job to ftp file to remote server?

I created the job to bcp data out and create file on file system. after that, I need to ftp the file over to another box. how can I do it from sql server job?

In 2005 you can do it in two ways...
Method 1 :
With SQL Server 2005,
when you start installing cluster service pack (or hotfix), it must be launched on the active node(node
that hosts the instance). When installing the Setup will launch simultaneously "remote silence" on all passive nodes. All nodes in the cluster containing the SQL Server instance are updated in the same time.
Method 2: First you can install in passive node then you can install in the active node, In this way you can save your down time ( If you start in the active node it will check in the passive, and if its installed already then it skips that
and start applying in the active node ), but most of the DBA's follows only first method because they may not aware of this or just they follows Microsoft common method.
SQL 2008 and Later....
1. Apply the hotfix on pasive node N2
2. Reboot the passive node N2
3. Failover on SQL resource : the passive node become the active node
4. Apply the hotfix on the passive node N1
5. Reboot the passive node N1

Can you post the output of below query
select @@version.
If you are using SQl server express edition ,SQL server agent feature is not available.It seems from errorlog that you can start it but actually you cannot.But first confirm what is version and edition of your SQL server

differences between SQL Server 2012 R2 & SQL Server 2014. Are both those are the same or different products?
I searched through the Internet but I didn't find any article regarding that. So could someone help me to solve this matter?

We don't have a Version "SQL Server 2012 R2", only 2005, 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and 2014.

The remote copy is rcp, but it is not secure or is it?

scp -p /my/local/file [email protected]:/otherpath/to/remote/file
Will use ssh to securely copy a file if ssh is enabled on the remote "othermac"
rsync -e ssh is much more powerful, but in many cases scp is the best due to simplicity.

In which ever pages you are calling this page, extend controller of those pages and in PFR of that controller give the following code
String s4 = pageContext.getCurrentUrlForRedirect();
pageContext.putSessionValue("previousPageUrl", s4);
then in your second page you can call this session variable by
pageContext.getSessionValue("previousPageUrl");
use this session value for page redirect.

Upgrade the Edition for SQL Server 2012

Hi All,
After spending 3hrs on the phone to MS in India I'm trying here as a last resort!
I'm trying to upgarde my SQL server 2012 Developer version from Evaluation to a full copy. I've been told that my Product key (Note I do not have a Product ID) is legit from the front line support.
However when I run hte SQL Server Installation Center (as an Administrator) I go to the following:
Maintenance
Edition upgrade
Pass first validation
Then enter in the Product Key and I get the following back in SQL:
"There are validation errors on this page. Click OK to Close this dialog box. Review Errors at the bottom of the setup page, then provide valid parameters or click help for more information".
I can only click on OK and then I'm left with either Next (same thing happens) or Cancel (which halts the full installation) finally help (which is useless).
Any help and ideas greatly appreciated!!!

Make sure the product language of the SQL Server 2012 Developer Edition is the same of the Evaluation Edition you have
installed. If they have different product language, you may receive the "There are validation errors on this page" error message.

HRCS 9.0 : What are the commands to finish creating Views in Script file ?

Hello. I am setting up HRCS 9.0 Database. There is only one thing not completed that is creating Views. The last message in the file "views.log" is as follows:
Views remaining: 1531
Creating view: SAD_UC_APPLVW
I have checked SQL Server HRCS database to confirm SAD_UC_APPLVW is not created.
In order to finish creating views, I add the line "SET START SAD_UC_APPLVW;" before the line "REPLACE_VIEW*;" in the Database setup script file as follows:
SET START SAD_UC_APPLVW;
REPLACE_VIEW*;
I run the script to execute only this action. Data Mover comes up this message:"Successful completion. Script completed."
But I check SQL Server HRCS database, the remaining 1531 views are not created. Thus, I have 2 questions:
First, is the command "SET START SAD_UC_APPLVW;" correct ?
Second, how to finish creating the remaining 1531 views in the Script file ?

Try SET START AFTER SAD_UC_APPLVW. I assume, there is some problem with just that one specific view. Once, other views are created you should be able to troubleshoot just that one view. Also try doing this in bootstrap mode, that will try to create all the views or 'SET IGNORE ERROR' before replace_view

Most IDE's I've worked with before have a way to specify environment
variables right in the tool. Forte doesn't appear to have that capability -
say it ain't so!

What's the scope of SQL server settings?

Suppose I do something like SET Ansi Warnings ON. Is this setting only for the current SP? Or is it global to all SPs in the current database? Is it global to all databases in the entire instance?
And how does it apply to a series of batches? If the setting is turned ON for one batch in the set, does it remain on for the rest of the batches?
Understand I'm not asking this merely in regard to Ansi Warnings but for ALL settings. Or maybe someone can point me to a chart which covers all this?

If you have a CSS ready, an XML file that already appears
inside a dynamic text field, what AS2 code would you use to connect
the CSS so it applies to the XML file which is now unstyled?
