What is the default maximum email attachment size (Exchange 2003) on iPads?
Maximum message size is determined by the mail server (Exchange in your case), not by the Mail app on your iPad. There are two settings in Exchange 2003 related to message size: One for incoming messages, one for outgoing. Both can be set to Unlimited, or to some number of kilobytes Exchange 2003 is a long time ago for me, but if I remember correctly the default size limit is 10240 KB (10 MB). Once those are set, the admin can also create policies to modify those limits for specific situations. You really need to ask your Exchange administrator how he/she has the max size configured.

Why is there a maximum email attachment size?
I can understand why there is a maximum MMS file message size but why is there a maximum email attachment size set by the handset? The limit is preventing me sending pictures from my phone. MMS messages are charged at a flat rate but GPRS data is chared per kB. My operator, Tmobile, say they have no limit on email message sizes (and obviously they make more money if you send a larger file. If I transfer my sim card to my laptop or PDA I am able to send any size of attachment with no problem. But with the sim back in the handset a limit of 100kB is imposed. I get the same result using both Tmobile or Orange sims. This is especially annoying if you have a phone that produces high quality images with file sizes several times the limit. You can have a great image with no means of sending it at its original resolution. Anyone know why this is?
Most operator's (carrier's) MMSC (Multimedia Messaging Service Center) servers do set a limit.
What the MMS size limit that's guaranteed to go through is defined by a document known as the MMS Conformance Document (maintained by OMA, Open Mobile Alliance, which is a standardization organization by mobile device manufacturers and network operators, primarily).
So, both the handsets (phones) may or may not have a size limit depending on how it was designed, and in addition the networks also have their own limits, and they do not need to be the same, but the doc I mentioned specifies what the devices and networks have to support, at least.
More on OMA (and you can try to find the MMS Conformance Doc, if you wish):

Hi
Does the iphone have a maximum email attachment size that it can download?
I am not on about the limit imposed by your email service provider.
Thanks ChrisNo size limit per se. However, the iPhone seems to have difficulty displaying large attachments. For example, Gmail's limit is 10 MB. If I send myself a 9.5 MB powerpoint file, it downloads just fine on the iPhone, but when I try to open the file, it fails.

I have successfully installed and configured outlook 2013 to access my pop.integra.net email accounts. We have an 2003 exchange server we use for shared folders which I am having difficulty accessing.
My preference would be to set up my access to the exchange server and use the same data folders for email as are in use for my pop email account. In outlook 2003 this was simple, but in 2007 on up it seems this feature has been hobbled. Is there
a workaround to get both accounts to use the same database?
Next issue is if I use the Mail client wizard under Control Panel to set up access to the exchange server - everything looks fine but when launching outlook I receive the following 2 error messages:
"The resource that you are trying to use is located on an unsupported version of Microsoft Exchange. Contact your e-mail administrator for assistance."
"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Your Microsoft Exchange administrator has blocked the version of Outlook that your are using. Contact your administrator for assistance."
Obviously the optimal solution is to upgrade the Exchange Server - assuming that is not an option - are there any workarounds?
Any assistance would be appreciated.Downgraded to Office 2007.
So now have a new Windows 8.1 laptop with outlook 2007 installed.
From what I have been told this should allow me to connect to the Exchange2003 server
I set up the pop account - works fine
set up the exchange account through Mail.exe and am unable to launch outlook.
"Microsoft Exchange is Unavailable"
"Retry - Work Offline - Cancel"
Then
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook Window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened."
The data file path is the same for both the pop account and the exchange account:
C:\Users\Scott\app data\local\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst
How do I get this to work?

Email Attachment Size Etiquette
I'm looking for opinions on what is the biggest "polite" email attachment size.
By this I mean.. how big of a file can you send without calling them to make sure they aren't out of the country for a week because your huge attachment will fill their mailbox and reject all incoming mail for the next three days and it's your fault... Oh and it's your most important client... (I swear this hasn't happened.)
I'm thinking it is still around 5MB. What are your thoughts.Internally in an enterprise, 5MB
Externally, 1MB, and usually zipped.
I'd be annoyed if someone was sending me 5MB mails to my iphone over EDGE! -

Limit the email attachment size XI
Hi All ,
I am working on a requirement . I did an extensive search on this(SAP Notes, SDN and on the system itself) but couldnu2019t find any such functionality provided by SAP.
1. CCMS configuration for the ability to check emails being sent out of Sap that exceed a certain threshold i.e. 5+MB for an attachment.
The only thing that I could figure out was that we can limit the email attachment size (SAP Note 837300) but this is not what is required.
Wanted to check , whether someone is aware of any such functionality. It would be really helpful.
Thanking in anticipation.
Warm Regards
AmitThanks Michael .
Anything I can can do with the payload size in XI .
I can get the payload size from sxmb_moni tcode. Can I generate alerts based on payload size ,again I am aware that we can limit the size of the payload ,but can we generate something based on payload size.
Thanks
Regards
Amit

What is the default size of icons on desktop?
For some reason after installing an application update all the icons on my desktop are now 16X16. What was the default size that came with the OS and what would have changed that setting?
48x48 is the default. I don't know why the setting might have changed, though.

What is the default buffer size if we dont specify in buffer write?
If we dont specify what is the default buffer size in BufferedWriter. How to increase/decrease the size of it?
What is the purpose of flush?
If flush() is not used, only partial content is written to the file. Is it because of the default size of the buffer.THis is the bufferedwriter class, it helps to look at them, look at the bold underlined, thats answers your defualt buffer size

* Write text to a character-output stream, buffering characters so as to
* provide for the efficient writing of single characters, arrays, and strings.
*
The buffer size may be specified, or the default size may be accepted.
* The default is large enough for most purposes.
*
A newLine() method is provided, which uses the platform's own notion of
* line separator as defined by the system property line.separator.
* Not all platforms use the newline character ('\n') to terminate lines.
* Calling this method to terminate each output line is therefore preferred to
* writing a newline character directly.
*
In general, a Writer sends its output immediately to the underlying
* character or byte stream. Unless prompt output is required, it is advisable
* to wrap a BufferedWriter around any Writer whose write() operations may be
* costly, such as FileWriters and OutputStreamWriters. For example,
*

* PrintWriter out
* = new PrintWriter(new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("foo.out")));
*

* will buffer the PrintWriter's output to the file. Without buffering, each
* invocation of a print() method would cause characters to be converted into
* bytes that would then be written immediately to the file, which can be very
* inefficient.

What Flush(); does
Example, you have a file called c, your writer is b and buffereredwriter is a. so your programs calls a, a talks to b, and b talks to c. when you call the Flush method, the information is sent to the outfile which is c immediately before you even close the file, because when you write to the file, it does not write directly, it writes to a buffer, so flush actually causes the buffer to write to file. Also if you call the close method on that file without the flush, the buffer will still get flushed.
consider BufferedWriter c = new BufferedWriter(new PrintWriter("c:\\c"));
you wrap printwriter into a buffered writer, now if you close this "connection" to the file, the buffer will get flushed, noting that all the data is sitting in the buffered and not yet in the file, and this happens if something dont break... -
What is the default heap size in a oc4j instance
Hi There,
I am wondering what is the default heap size for an oc4j instance if you don't specify -Xms and -Xmx?
Thanks,
XingshengIf you're using the Sun JDK 1.4 I believe the max is 64MB. Not sure about 5.0. It's really dependent on the JVM you're using, not OC4J.

What is the default icon size for macbook pro 13 inch?
I have the 13 inch macbook pro, its not the retina. What is the default icon size for it? I accidently changed it on the show view options.
The default size is not related to the Mac Model, it's related to the OS X version. For Snow Leopard it's 48x48 pixels.
For Lion and Mountain Lion it's 64x64.
You can choose the size that is right for you. I typically use either 32x32 or 36x36. Some prefer larger some prefer smaller. It's up to you.
I've always found the default sizes to be too big for my taste. -
How do you change the default return email when distributing a PDF form
Hello everyone,
I am trying to distrube a pdf form as a customer survey to various client/contact emails. As a test, I chose to distribute the form, filled in the form distribution information and I send the form to myself. However, when I filled it out and chose 'submit form' it prompted me with the return email address that I know is incorrect and want to change.
As the author of the form, I need to change the default return email address, but there is no option to do so when I choose to distribute the pdf form or any new form that I create (only prompted me the very first time I chose to distribute a form).
Does anyone know how to change the return email address and information for form distribution? Can someone please help me with this?
Thank you very much!
-RyanThe email address that it uses it what is set in the Identity user preference: Edit > Preferences > Identity > Email Address
so change it there before you distribute. -
Increase email attachment size
Hi All,
We're running Exch2010 servers with approx. 14000 mailboxes. We're planning to increase email attachment size from 10 MB to 20 MB. I'm aware about places I need to make changes but my concern is that do we need to take anything in consideration before increasing
the attachment size?
Any calculation about storage impact etc.?

If you are increasing the message size and have concerns, you can plug that info into the mailbox calculator and increase the average message size number.
http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Exchange-2010-Mailbox-Server-Role-/
Note however that just because you allow larger messages, it doesnt necessarily mean the average message size per user will increase.

What Is The Best All-round Canvas Size For A Web Browser
What is the best all-round canvas size when authoring a swi
for a web browser? by this I mean best for authoring without
scrollbars. I know a chap whose screen res is 800x600 and who has
every single toolbar displayed in IE, leaving around 400pixels in
height free. For crying out loud.
I once sat with a bloke who uses Courier New set at 36pt as
his default browser font. Ouch. I sat there transfixed, not
believing what I was looking at; to this day I have no recollection
of our conversation, so stunned was I.
I've used 780x410, 800x600, 770x540 and I'm going nutsoid
trying to find the best compromise; whatever size I use, distortion
creeps in if accompanied with an "exactfit" value, especially if
the height and Width values are set at 100%.
Beats me.

personally avoid scaling, especially filling up user window.
more and more really high resolution monitors out there,
the larger the screen the more CPU it sucks...
Don't follow the exact screen size like 800x600 as it is
never the
browser ratio, must consider the browser chromes.
I will design something within that size or slightly larger
and use the
around margin to incorporate graphics as part of the design.
Sometimes even smaller than that and centralized. Depends on
amount
of content.

REDEPIC (.r3d) files won't import in Premiere Pro CS6
I was recently called upon to edit a project that has already been shot by someone else (who is no longer in the picture for personal reasons). They used a REDEPIC (S35 Mysterium-X I believe) to shoot the files and so now I have all of these (.r3d)
