What is the max clob length for Forms 6i with most recent updates.

I am trying to determine what the largest clob is that can be handled by Forms 6i with the latest patches installed. I have searched the forum and the help files and have found a bunch of different answers, but nothing useful - nothing current.
I have a record that has a clob field with 28,213 characters (including spaces) or 9902 characters (without spaces). Saved as a text file, it is 29kb.
To read and work with the data in Forms, I have to set the DATA: Maximum Length to 110000, almost 3 times the length of the actual data. I can read and edit the field without problems.
My questions are:
1. what is the maximum size of data in a clob field that will work with Forms 6i and Oracle 10R2 database (Forms with the most recent update)?
2. what is the Maximum Length - It certainly doesn't seem to be character. How do I set this - 3x Actual????

In theory it should be 64k bytes. In practice its often a bit less than that.

2TB seems to be the limit. Some people have had success with non Apple drives but it's very hit and miss..

MS Word for Mac does not do Arabic, but I am not sure about Excel and PowerPoint. If not, OpenOffice would be the only option.

I think A6728IMS.210 means BIOS 2.1 so it may already work with the 3.2Ghz CPU.

I had the same machine years ago and I suggest you no to do this, because nothing will happen.
We tried to put a another CPU onto Mainboard and it simply didnt boot. I dont know why it didnt work, but luckily the machine started after that with the old CPU on the board again. I assume that the chipset is not giving enough power to CPU. I assume, when youre putting the wrong CPU on the Board then you, in the worst case, seriously damage your Mainboard.

My problem is that I bought already a HDD of 500GB.
The BIOS recognize the HDD.
When I try to install Windows 7 the computer reads the files from the CD into memory
and when it finishes, before it has the chance to start writing it switch itself off and re-boots.
Is that mean that the contoller is gone or the capacity of the HDD is too high for this Laptop.

Correct. By default, there is no limit for the value length. However, it is possible to limit the max length for a given attribute type by specifying the max length in curly bracket in the schema definition e.g.

The value {32768} indicates the maximum length of the string and is optional.

Tried with 31 mb file.
It successfully delivers the file but....

Okay,
So my device has been working fine for quite a while and I moved over OS6 when it was made available to the beta testing group about a month ago.
So I decided to try out the wifi media sync last night and it took Desktop Manager about an hour to even come up with the list of music. After I saw all my songs listed I synced over a few songs via USB to get the wireless sync portion all setup and make sure it was working.
After I unplugged my device from USB and let it do it's thing over wifi it started up with the spinning clock and became VERY unresponsive. Now everytime I start it up, it is somewhat workable for 1 minute or so and then the spinning clock comes back. (Even though I have shut off Wifi so it won't continue to attempt syncing) I actually let it sit and run overnight but the device had a 601 error when I woke up and it needed a reset. When it came back up it resumed with the spinning clock again.
I'm thinking it's the number of files I have in my library, about 45,000...
What's the most you've ever tried to use with media sync??? There is no provision inside the desktop manager as far as selecting which library you would like to sync or a way to reduce the number of songs it sees. Only way to do this appears to be changing media player's libraries so that it doesn't see all the files.
Really, I would like to be able to sync some of those files, but all of them are not needed. And the fact that it basically makes my device unusable is the biggest problem. I'm in the process of trying to disable it completely via desktop manager so I can have my device back....
I looked around at various forums and can't seem to find anyone else running into this. Anyone here had a similar or related problem? What did you do to get around it?

One other thing I found... It was still doing the spinning clock and locking up, but it took a while after boot for the problem to crop up.
I pulled the media card and found that there was a media sync folder under Blackberry\System that had some files in there that were pretty big. The artwork file was over 150MB and some other files were largish.
I deleted the entire media sync folder and now it seems to be behaving itself. No more spinning clock and it seems to be slowly returning to normal. (Besides all the messages it deleted during the whole process)
If anyone else runs into this I would say you should clean the folder off the media card along with disabling the sync. Seems the BB still reads that folder and processes it if present.

I have an application that builds a SOAP document and makes use of Apache SOAP API to do XML messaging.
To build the SOAP message, I have to query the database for a batch of data to be posted to another "web service" application using SOAP. The problem is when the SOAP document gets too large, the receiving end (the url where I'm doing the post) returns SOAP FAULT stating that end tags are missing. I am suspecting that during the post, the lengthy SOAP message has been truncated (no end tags).
I wanted to know if there is a limit to how large a SOAP message can be when doing a post to a servlet or when using the APACHE SOAP API.

Typically, J2EE servers will allow their administrators to set a maximum size for POST data - typical sizes are of 1MB. You can adjust these usually to a maximum size of about 2GB. The size is usually set smaller to avoid various types of DOS types.
Also, some J2EE servers such as WebLogic Server allow the administrator to specify a maximum amount of time the server is to wait between the reception of pieces of the POST data - this is often set fairly high (8 minutes or so) but may be set lower again to avoid DOS attacks.
See if you can find out the settings for your servlet engine and perhaps get them modified.
