What is the Preferred RoboHelp Output?

Hi All,
My developer and I have determined that our desktop application cannot use Microsoft HTML Help output since .CHM files cannot be accessed from the network. Therefore, we're struggling to determine if we should use WebHelp or WebHelp Pro instead?
I have searched the robohelp HELP and these forums, but do not see my specific quandry discussed anywhere.
As well, what's Adobe AIR? It seems that this is a free utility, yes? And with WebHelp Pro, it says we need RoboHelp Server... is that an additional cost?!!? We seem to be able to use WebHelp Pro without "Robohelp Server" - so far.
Any insight would be helpful!

CHM will work on a network drive if you modify the Windows registry to mark the location as being safe. This would need to occur in the individual registry for each PC accessing th CHM. So it's likely not optimal.
Certainly you can go the WebHelp Pro route, but if this help system is intended to be installed on server environments at client locations, you would need to purchase a RoboHelp Server license for each client you install on. I'm sure that would make Adobe very happy, as you would need to purchase RoboHelp Server licenses at $2,000 or so each. Not only that, but their IT staff will love you as well because they would then be tasked with installing, configuring and maintaining a new server setup. But, it's an option if you want to go there.
Adobe is hedging their bets a bit on AIRHelp. The whole AIR technology is new on the scene. There is an AIR runtime that each user would need to install as a first step. Then you would need to package your output as AIR and each user would have to install the help on their machines in much the same way as they install applications.
My guess is that the best output type for this would be standard WebHelp.

For opening a URL , you could also close previous window and open a new browser.
Follow the steps :
-> make an outbound plug in your window.
-> Add URL of type string as a parameter for your outbound plug.
->Do remember to add Component Name in the Properties Tab of View ( othervs Calling Outbound plug of win from view wont b psbl).
Write the below mentioned code to call a URL in the OnAction of button :
DATA lo_zexit TYPE REF TO ig_zexit .

My phone is not jailbroken. I don't know what you mean about hacked. Maybe it is hacked? This is what is happening: About three times over the past few months I've noticed that my phone while "off" will come on (light up) and the screen shows an arrow towards the bottom; an arrow such that you would see on various "players" in order to "play" video or audio, I've searched my phone and cannot find any app that produces this particular screen though. Once I pick up the phone when this screen myseriously appears out of nowhere and press anything, it goes away and goes to the standard "slider" front page to unlock the phone.

As in most cases it is a good choice to use the API with the higher level. For CQ and CRX API, CQ is the highlevel API since it is (partially) based on CRX API. In some cases CQ API eliminates some boilerplate code and/or adds some implicit handling.

HT4522 what is the preferred disk erase mode for Time Capsule

I've been wanting to re-format my Time capsule as I've bought a new Mac Book and currently have 2 backups loaded. Since I've merged data, I wanted to erase and re-use the TC.
Can someone tell me what the preferred disk erase mode is for TC.

Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit
Click the Disks tab at the top of the next window
Click Erase Disk
You will be presented with several Erase options.....Quick Erase, Zero Out, 7 Pass, etc.
Quick Erase will only take a minute or two and be fine for your purpose since you are keeping the Time Capsule.
If you were moving the Time Capsule to another user, the Zero Out option will replace everything on the drive with zeroes. This will take 3-5 hours depending on the size of drive that you have in the Time Capsule.
7 Pass zeros the drive 7 times, etc.
BTW, the Time Capsule drive is formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled). This cannot be changed unless you pull the drive from the Time Capsule (voids the warranty), place it in a separate enclosure and use Disk Utility to make the changes that you want.
Then, you have to reinstall the disk back in the Time Capsule.

Base on my testing environment, I use VMware to build the oracle rac.
Because ifdown command reacts differently, now I use vmware feature on Network interface "disconnect" as pulling out the link from network interface.
Please, kindly have a look on the actions, I have done. Correct me if I am wrong.
I have two nodes which are node1 "rac1" and node2 "rac2".
1. I start crs on node2 "rac2" so that node2 have the role to write to OCR
2. After node2 start completely, I start crs on node1 "rac1" to join cluster.
3. I use disconnect network link from private network on node1, and I also check using ethtool to check link detected:

What is the best HD output settings for YouTube uploading?

Trying out iMovie '09 for the first time.
I shot a 2.5 minute video (AVCHD) and with
the video output settings I selected it is taking
about 20 minutes to encode.
That is way too much time...or is it?
Based on a YouTube video I watched on editing
in iMovie '09 I set my video and audio outputs as follows...
* Export using Quicktime
* File Format: MPP4
* Video Format: H.264
* Data Rate: 8192
* Image Size: 1920x1080HD
* Frame Rate: 60
Encoding: Faster Encode
Audio Data Rate: 256kbps
Encode Quality: Best
Now where can I improve encoding time without sacrificing
a huge amount of quality in my YouTube upload? I really want
the upload to look crisp HD on YouTube.

By the way, there is nothing magic about 10,000 kbps. If you used 16,000 kbps, it would be roughly the same data rate as Apple Intermediate Codec. But since YouTube does not penalize you for using a high data rate, as long as it fits their time limit, you can err on the side of high quality. The trick is to start high and then back off until you notice the quality dropping. In your case 8,000 may be fine.
My guess would be your frame rate is the issue. Most AVCHD camera shoot 30 frames per second (or 60 interlaced fields per second).

What is the effect of output signal with the same sampling frequency but different number of samples?

I'm using PXI4461 for audio measurement and there is a question about analog output. I'm using the Basic Multitone vi for generating multitone signal. The sampling rate is 200k and my question is how to determine the number of samples. I used an audio analyzer to measure the distortion of the output signal with 200k and 1k points and there are no different except the update rate. What number of samples is suitable for 200k sampling rate?

The Sampling Rate determines the maximum frequency that you can see (the rate/2 according to Nyquist).
The number of samples divided by the rate determines how long you will sample. This sample time can only be determined by you. Do you need .1 seconds worth of data, or 1 second? But note that the MINIMUM frequency that you can detect is 1/(Sample Time) or the Sampling Rate/Number of Samples. So if your system has a minimum and maximum frequency specification use that as your guild.

What is the Preferred Monitor Display Profile?

I recently purchased a new EPSON Stylus Photo R3000 and also have an Epson Artisan 810. Both printers are updated and yet each print drastically different from one another. I am so confused at this point from fiddling with the color settings and profiles, etc., that I don't even know what monitor profile to use. I tried to self calibrate but it looks really washed out. Does anyone have suggestions?

Display monitor profiles and perceived differences in print output between your two printers aren't really related to each other. If you're only using one Mac both printers are going to receive the same information from the same photograph or document and printer profile, if you chose one. The differences between the two printer's outputs are a function of the printer, paper, ink, and various settings used in each one.
You can calibrate your iMac's monitor to more accurately match one or the other and create a corresponding monitor profile for each one if you so choose, but that is neither convenient nor ideal. It would be a better idea to use the printer's controls to modify the one printer's color matching profile so that its print output most closely resembles the other's. Those settings are generally found in an option contained in OS X's standard Print dialog and are sometimes called "color settings" or "color mode" or "color enhancement". Then you have to be consistent with your choice of ink cartridges.
There are many ways to accomplish what you want so decide which device is going to be the "master" then make the other two look like it.

What is the difference between Output and Master?

I try to understand what the difference is between Master and Output 1-2. In Garageband there was only a Master track. Does the Master volume slider has an effect on the bounce? I don't see a bounce option in the Master slider like in the output 1-2 slider.

The Output 1-2 is a real output channel that audio passes through, corresponding to your audio interface outputs, and where you can insert plugins and bounce from.
The master channel is simply a volume fader that adjusts the levels of all output channels at once - mostly only useful for surround sound.

Output types are part of Output determination procedure which is linked to the application (e.g. Purchsing). Output types are also linked to Access sequence, which allows you to create condition records so that output types can be processed automatically.
