What is the struct of itemData in photoshop cs2?

I want to know the title of menu which is clicked. We can know the menu title of photoshop cs. Photoshop's menu is drew when we open the menu from cs2.
I got the DRAWITEMSTRUCT information when I monitor the WM_DRAWITEM event in windows. It is the DRAWITEMSTRUCT:
typedef struct tagDRAWITEMSTRUCT {
    UINT        CtlType;
    UINT        CtlID;
    UINT        itemID;
    UINT        itemAction;
    UINT        itemState;
    HWND        hwndItem;
    HDC         hDC;
    RECT        rcItem;
    DWORD       itemData;
} DRAWITEMSTRUCT
The detail information of menu is in other menuitem struct which is itemData point to. I know then itemData Address. But I don't knows the menuitem struct information.
Who can tell me the struct?
I think the photoshop menuitem is more than this:
typedef struct tagMENUITEM
 CString strText;
 UINT uID;
 UINT uIndex;
 int uPositionImageLeft;
}MENUITEM;
typedef MENUITEM * LPMENUITEM;

The serial is the one you have from your original CS2 purchase.

    Hi LarryMeikle
    The biggest difference between Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC is that Photoshop CC is subscription-based--you have to subscribe to Adobe's Creative Cloud service to use it.  Also, Photoshop CC includes new features that were not in Photoshop CS6.
    Let us know if that helps.
    Thanks!

  • What is the best way to wipe Photoshop CS 3 off computer, when uninstall is missing.  I want to start fresh with PS CS 5.

    My iMac G5, OS X version 10.6.8 has a Photoshop CS2 and CS3 on it which have never started up, in the present configuration of the computer.  (I had the capacity increased to 2 TB.)
    It has not been possible for me to uninstall them.   The uninstaller cannot be located, by me and Adobe in an hour and a half phone call.
    I want to get rid of PS CS 2 and 3, altogether.   Then I would like to have a new Photoshop CS 5 installed.  I have Time Machine backups and LightRoom disks.   What is the right way to get this done?

    Hi   --  It appears that Adobe does not provide an uninstaller, because the Adobe tech and I tried all sorts of work arounds.
    I dragged things to the trash on my own, without success, before this.  Then, I put them back.   I did not empty the trash.
    If I again look for all the photoshop I can find, drag it to the trash, and then empty the trash, do you think something dreadful would happen?   It is pretty scary!

  • Recent graduate, beginning my career in theatre video - what's the cheapest way to get Photoshop and After Effects together?

    Hi,
    As I said, recent graduate. Not a lot of disposable income. I require Photoshop and After Effects to progress in my career. What's the best way to get these two programs with creative cloud?
    Thanks!

    There is a special photographers plan, and then buy a single item subscription for After Effects

  • What is the best preferrence setting for Photoshop CS5 64 Bit Extended?

    I upgraded my PC a few months back and I'm currently running the CS5 suites.  A few weeks ago I started having issues with the CS5 suites freezing up and in some cases even crashing on me.  I always run Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and bridge at the same time, as I'm constantly moving between program on any given project.  What I'd like to know, is if there's an optimum setting to use in the preferences for Photoshop 64 Bit Extended to help it run more smoothly and efficiently, without the computer or program bogging down or crashing on me.  Below is a list of the hardware I'm running, which I've been told is more than enough to run the CS5 suites.  Any information would be greatly appreciated, as I'm starting to get frustrated with the performance.
    Hardware & operating system:
    - Windows 7 service pack 3
    - EVGA X58 FTW3 motherboard
    - i7 960 4-Core CPU
    - GeForce GTX 470 Sli graphics card
    - Corsair Extreme 24 gigs ram
    - 3 TB 7200 RPM hard drive

    Are Photoshop and OS fully updated and have you performed the usual trouble-shooting routines (trashing prefs by keeping command-alt-shift/ctrl-alt-shift pressed while starting Photoshop, 3rd party plug-ins deactivation, system maintenance, cleaning caches, font validation, etc.)?

  • I have CS3 web standard. What is the best way to add Photoshop CS 3/CS4

    CS3 web standard works perfect for me. I just misses Photoshop. Perhaps you know the best way to solve this problem.
    Because if I buy an upgrade, it'll be a Studio.
    Second qustion: What does a Studio mean and where can I buy a studio?
    Thanks!

    I thought Web Standard included Photoshop. In any event, you can't just upgrade one component of a suite you need to upgrade the entire thing.
    Even if you just wanted Photoshop CS5 you'd have to buy a full license for $699. PS Extended will run you $999.
    Upgrading to CS5 Web Premium (there is no standard) will cost you $795 http://amzn.to/92gG02.
    Before you go that route, however, you may want to consider Design Premium for $780: http://amzn.to/8XRD7M
    I have an article on my website explaining why I think it's the best choice: http://www.theindesignguy.com/purchase-advice.shtml
    Hope that helps,

  • What is the best tablet for using photoshop for professional editing??

    Okay, I know Apple and their ipads are popular.  But popularity is not what I'm looking for.  I'm looking for compatibility, between photoshop and the tablet itself.  I want to get over using the mouse for everything.  I'm not quite sure if apple is the best choice.  Or is it?
    I'm very new to all this tablet stuff. lol  Please advise
    Oh my goodness.  Is the Ipad not advanced enough for a full blown photoshop program?! I geuss I overestimated them. Goodness.  It really is just a on the go kind of thing?....  Again. I'm new to this whole tablet thing.  So if you guys know anything. Please advise lol.  I'm a complete Newbie.

    Windiv, 'Tablet' - the generic term is used differently for each context. iPad is a generic tablet. While for Photoshop editing, you need a tablet such as Wacom Intuos - they're 'design tablets' in specific. They have 'full-blown' capabilities with Photoshop and majority of other Professional Graphic softwares.

  • What is the best book to learn Photoshop CC and Lightroom? I'm a beginner and like a hard copy.

    Just got Photoshop CC and Lightroom and want to learn to use it properly. Was thinking a manual would be the best way. There are so many available, what are your favorites?

    Manuals tend to be dry and heavy going, and more suited to used as a references, rather than to be read in a linear fashion.  If you do want to go that way, the Missing Manual, and Bible series have been around for a long time, and I imagine they must contain heaps of info if the size of them is anything to go by.
    The Scott Kelby books are a good choice for beginners, because he tries to introduce humour onto every page, which makes them easy to keep reading.
    A good half way between the two choice are the Adobe Classroom in a Book series, which are laid out in a home learning fashion.
    My best advice is to use Amazon, and read the Customer Reviews, so long as there are at least a dozen or so to give you good sample rate.

  • What's the best Mac for  just photoshop ?

    I need to upgrade my last edition PPC tower mac - photoshop is what I use most - and with a view to future-proofing what would be the best of the current crop of mac to get?
    Assuming that Photoshop becomes able to use more cores/threads in vCS6 or vCS7

    It is still MHz and RAM, and after that some good hard drives.
    So if you look around you'll see the 3.33GHz/6-core as most popular.
    Then 3 x 8GB if you can.
    Worry about CS5 and 64-bit drivers and funky graphic drivers, immature OpenCL and issues in OpenGL for now.

  • What's the price for Dreamweaver and Photoshop?

    Hi everybody. My first post here, hope is the right place.
    I was checking the Adobe site and the prices of the programs, but I didn't find if its possible to just buy 2 single applications and no all the creative cloud pack. I just wanted to know if it's possible for me just to buy Dreamweaver and Photoshop and what would be the price per year?
    Just that.
    Thanks in advance and sorry for the ignorance.

  • What is the correct usage for a "photoshop.executeScript"

    I am scripting in javascript on a Mac OSX machine with Bridge 1.0.4.6.
    I am trying to execute a Photoshop Javascript file from within Bridge, but I have been, as of yet, unsuccessful. I am attempting to use the photoshop.executeScript command with a string value of the photoshop script, but all that happens is that photoshop comes up and my script is not launched.
    Inside of my Bridge script, I call the executeScript like this:
    var file = new File( "~/Desktop/test.jsx" );
    file.open( "r" );
    var buffer = file.read();
    file.close();
    photoshop.executeScript( buffer );
    And the ~/Desktop/test.jsx file looks like:
    var file = File.openDialog('Image to test');
    var fileRef = new File(file);
    var docRef = open (fileRef);
    If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
    Thank you.
    Evan Appleby
    Sony Pictures Imageworks

    I've never had any success getting photoshop.executeScript to work.
    It's better just to send a bridgetalk message yourself.
    Personally, if you're attempting to do a relatively small operation on a set of files, I would look at the BridgeTalkIterator class in AdobeLibrary1.jsx.
    There is an example of how to use it on AdobeExchange. It's a simple script called "open close" or something like that. You can easily modify it by simply changing the photoshop script to whatever it is you need.
    The benefits - it works around a bridgetalk bug in starting the target application and it also puts up a progress meter in Bridge.

  • What is the different between Aperture and Photoshop

    Are these comparable programs? Can I do everything in Aperture I can do in Photoshop? I am trying to decide whether of get Aperture 3 now or await PS CS5/
    TIA,
    Bill

    Bill,
    Both previous posters to your question have more experience than I with Aperture, so I won't comment a lot on that one (although I really like Aperture because it can be a one stop shop for the casual photographer who just wants to get the best shots organized, touched-up and perhaps posted to a web site or printed in a book or to paper).
    I am not positive of how the adjustment brushes really work (but they seem to utilize 'masking' - something found and used in PS a great deal for artistic reasons). This would be a similarity, although Aperture appears to do masking on the fly while the user applies brushed in edits, where Photoshop is (in many cases) a manual mask created on a layer above the image (this takes more time but offers a bit more control).
    I can tell you a few things about Photoshop:
    1 - You would use 'Bridge' to ingest and organize your image files (this is not nearly as competent as Aperture for organization, but it will work well for someone organizing, keywording and rating up to a few hundred images per folder).
    2 - You would be using the 'Adobe Camera Raw' plug-in to veiw and edit any RAW files you plan to work with in your photography (it is also capable of working with .jpg and .tiff files). All work done inside this plug-in is 'non-destructive' and is not applied to anything but the preview until you save it out as a supported image file type (Aperture does the same).
    3 - Photoshop allows editing above and beyond the RAW edits due to layers and the ability to manipulate pixels on each layer. It also has all the tools you might need to create graphics from scratch with pen tools, brushes, text tool, etc.
    So in summation, your RAW workflow in PS would be 'Bridge > Adobe Camera Raw > Photoshop', compared to Aperture's 'all-in'one' RAW workflow design.
    I can't say a lot due to NDA, but we are now allowed to confirm PS CS5 and I can say that the beta performs at least as well as the current release of PS CS4 on my Mac Pro.
    You might use the trial of Aperture to get a feel for the program and then (assuming there will be a trial version of PS CS5 released soon after full release) - you could try that for 30 days and make a decision.
    Good luck with whatever decision you make.
    Peace.

  • What's the cheapest way of getting Photoshop for students?

    I'm currently in sixth form and was wondering if there was a way of getting just Photoshop on a MacBook for less than £300

    If you can run an older version it might be worth looking on eBay.
