What is the URL to access a particular servlet with URI mapping?

I am trying to port my app from jrun to weblogic. I was able to port
          from jrun to tomcat without much of a problem.
          However with weblogic it has been a nightmare.
          Both jrun and tomcat(and websphere) provide the /servlet mapping by
          default. However weblogic doesn't do that. You have to add a mapping for
          every servlet which is a nightmare for any reasonably sized
          application(other than HelloWorld). How can one add 100 servlets to the
          web.xml ? Also if you have an app which can be extended by the client,
          you have to ask him to add each servlet to the web.xml instead of just
          asking him to put the classes in a directory. I wonder who is using
          weblogic to deploy servlets base apps.
          I hope there is a workaround or that i am wrong. Let me know if i am.

          Hmm. Well you are right. jRun and Tomcat are definitely easier to use.
          (Don't get me started on Websphere. An earlier version took one of my
          engineers a month to get it running. I'm still mad about that.)

          Yes, Weblogic also occasionally deviates from standards as well,
          unfortunately for you not this time. ;-)
          Have you looked at Weblogic's ServletServlet. I think it does what you
          want.
          > How can one add 100 servlets to the

          How can one develop an application that doesn't have 100 servlets? ;-) (I
          like to have only one personally.)
          Generally if you have to do it:
          1) Notepad IDE using the advanced Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V document-transmogrification
          feature
          2) ANT
          3) A tool that writes the XMLs for you (my personal preference)

          Wow. I'm really not sure if I'm comfortable with this chaos that you are
          describing. I'm having issues.

  • What FTP servers can I use and what is the URL of it. Help me! Due on Wed.

    I want to up load my website but I do not know what FTP server to use. I find a FTP server but not know what's the URL.

    You need a webhosting package. With or without a domainname.
    So you have to find one first.
    To find webhosting type the word in the search field of your browser.
    If you have internet access you can check with your ISP too.
    And with a domainname it's very easy to determine the URL : http://www.yourdomainname.com

  • What is The URL for OmniPortlet Provider?

    We installed PDK. What is the URL for OMNIPortlet provider when registering the provider?

    Hi,
    A couple of additional points;
    You may also use the following URL;
    http://<MACHINE_NAME>:<OC4J_PORT>/portalTools/
    This will get you to the Provider test page of Portaltools application, and from this page you have links to all the providers of Portaltools.
    Also, you may refer to the Configuration document for Omniportlet, this is available with PDK installation, you can access this document at;
    \<pdk_install_directory>\portalTools\doc\install\configuring.omniportlet.html
    Alternatively you can access this document with the following URL;
    http://portalcenter.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/PDK/PORTALTOOLS/DOC/INSTALL/CONFIGURING.OMNIPORTLET.HTML
    Take care,

  • What is the url for executing PL/SQL via 9i http

    what is the URL for 9i http server pl/sql routines that I just compiled? I don't run 9ias just the 9i http server
    http://machine:port/?????????/procedure_name
    thnx
    endre

    do this if you are still having problemd
    CREATE AND SETUP NEW USER
    The second step is to create an application user that will
    own the code for this example. Connect to SQL*PLUS as a user with
    DBA rights, and execute the following commands:connect
    SQL> CREATE USER user IDENTIFIED by user;
    SQL> GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE TO user;
    CONFIGURE DAD IN THE PL/SQL GATEWAY
    The third step is to create a new DAD.
    Enter the PL/SQL gateway configuration menu. The generic address to the
    page is
    http://<machin:port/pls/admin_/gateway.htm
    The is specified in your plsql.conf file. By default the address
    will be
    http://..:/pls/admin_/gateway.htm
    (Replace ..: with the valid entry for your
    configuration, e.g. www.acme.com:8080).
    Click on the link 'Gateway Database Access Descriptor Settings' to access
    your DAD settings. Then press the link 'Add for WebDB 2.x configuration'
    to create a new DAD. Enter the following values:
    Parameter Value
    Database Access Descriptor Name give name
    Schema Name the user you created
    Oracle User Name the user you created
    Oracle Password the password of the user
    Oracle Connect String <- found in your
    tnsnames.ora
    Document Table                    documents
    Document Access Procedure user.package.procedure
    Extensions to be uploaded as LONG RAW
    Leave the other parameters as they are. If you are not using an 8i database
    or need to use the LONG RAW datatype for
    some reason, you can place an '*' in the "Extensions to be uploaded as LONG
    RAW" field. You can also limit this to
    specific file name extensions such as jpg or pdf by entering the extensions
    and using a comma to separate the
    values. Click the OK button to save the DAD configuration.
    Hope this helps

  • What is the URL for icloud webmail from an ipad2, what is the URL for icloud webmail from an ipad2

    what is the URL for icloud webmail from an ipad2

    There are other browers available in the app store, I've heard that some of them can access icloud.com.  I don't know which ones.
    Also, can't you just add your account in mail?  You can always delete it when home - it won't mess things up for her.  ... unless there are "security" issues involved.

  • What is the URL to the EM in the integrated weblogic server?

    Hello,
    What is the URL to the Enterprise Manager in the integrated weblogic server included in the JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 package?
    There is a server running on http://127.0.0.1:7101/ , but if I click on the first link I see on right panel "Go to Fusion Middleware Control" , it redirects to http://127.0.0.1:7101/em , where a PAGE NOT FOUND 404 error is issued. Do you have any idea about this problem?
    Thanks.

    The integrated WLS does not have the EM installed. So you can't access it. However, you can install the EM in the embedded WLS if you like and have memory to spare.

  • What is the url of the WSDL generated by XI?

    Hi all,
    I have generated a WSDL file for a message interface.
    I will like to see this WSDL in the wsnavigator.
    The wsnavigator requires me to input a wsdl url.
    What is the URL of this WSDL which I've just generated?
    Please advise.
    Thanks.
    Ron

    Hi,
    Did you use the Integration Directory to create our WSDL? If yes, then you will have the WSDL stored up on your Local desktop itself.
    For See the WSDL's in your wsnavigator, you wil have to deploy your Webervice on your XI server and then you can see the WSDL there.
    In your case as you are trying to expose an Outbound Interace in XI as a webservice all you need to do would be to create the WSDL as shown in section 3.2.2 of this doc,
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d23cbe11-0d01-0010-5287-873a22024f79

  • What's the URL in a JDBC-ODBC bridge driver connection?

    I'm trying to use a JDBC-ODBC bridge driver but I don't know what is the URL I need to put inside a the "getConnection (String URL, String userid, String passwd)" method.
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(URL, user, passwd);
    Can anybody help me?

    Yes Marc,
    but maybe Edgar should know that he first has to add a ODBC datasource.
    in WINNT
    Goto System ODBC Datasources and try to connect to your DB.
    If the test is working than you can use the name you have chosen
    as URL
    good luck

    What is the url that needs to be entered when you forget your password to retrieve it?

    Can I just point out the obvious? (Well, it is to me at any rate!)
    If there was a URL that "needs to be entered" (I assume you mean a URL to be visited), in order to retrieve your password when you forget it, wouldn't that enable those people you know and wish to prevent getting in to your iPod (which - presumably, is why you put the password on it) to go to that same URL, get your password and use it to get into your Touch?
    Or is it me?
