    If you are using a URL to open the new form then you can add the following parameter to the URL to redirect them to wherever you wish after the form closes: Source=URLToRedirectTo
    For instance if the URL you were using was:
    http://XXX/Lists/ListName/NewForm.aspx you would add the Source parameter as:
    http://XXX/Lists/ListName/NewForm.aspx?Source=URLToRedirectTo

  • Golbal variables and new forms??

    Hi!
    I'm a total newbie to java but have done a lot of programming in Visual Basic. I'm using JBuilder 3.5 to create a testapplication that count the nuber of times a button (swing) has been pressed. In VB this is possible by using a global variable which increases by one for each buttonpress, but how do I do the same thing in Java??
    I also wounder how to create another frameclass and make it visible on the buttonpress?? (like the messagebox in VB)

    I made this code look as close to what JBuilder 3.5 would create so that you could get an idea. Personally, try writing the code without JBuilder so that you know what is really going on.
    A Message box type dialog was created using JOptionPane from the swing package.

  • Unable to find the default new form for list mylist1 - deploying the list instance via module feature

    am facing a problem deploying a list instance via a feature, 
      I created the list in the UI with content and views.
    Exported the site template as WSP.
    Imported into Visual Studio the list instance, pages module and property bags.
    Copied into my new solution.
    Deploy list instance as a site-collection level scoped feature.
    activated the below features :
    mylist_ModulesFeature
    mylist_ListInstancesFeature
    mylist_PropertyBagFeature
    List deploys fine with content and views. However, I receive the following error when trying to add a new item: “Unable to find the default new form for list”. The same applies for editing items.
    can anyone pls help why i am getting this  error ?

    Suppose,Company paying 10% interest, government rate is 12%, in between 2% is advantage, that is called perquisite tax. Its Mean Informal an incidental benefit gained from a company. such as interest free loans.

    I have understood some usefull information and would like to share with you.
    Within one transaction, you can open and close several layout sets using OPEN_FORM and
    CLOSE_FORM, however not simultaneously. You can use parameters in the OPEN_FORM to control
    whether the output is stored in the same print request. But also the SAP spool decides,
    depending on several plausibility checks, whether new output is appended to an existing
    print request or whether to create a new print request anyway.

  • What is tthe Best practice for Variant List, Add, Edit and Display Forms?

    Requirement:
    I have single list.  The list has a large number of columns and a large number of items (lets say 20,000).
    I want to show users a different view of the list based on clicking on a different left-hand navigation option.
    Lets say I have four types of users:  Sales, Manufacturing, Shipping and Finance. I would like to have four options in the left-hand navigation.
    All of them would be pointing at the same list, BUT, I want each of them to have a customer list form.  The only difference between the custom list forms would be:
    Each would have its own set of views, and hence its own default view.
    Each would have its own New, Edit and Display Forms.  The only difference between the forms in one variant list and another would be: The order of the columns and which columns are modifiable.
    I would like to achieve this in SharePoint Designer in such a way that the "users" could still add/modify views and could even modify the forms from the SharePoint Menu.  BTW, I don't want to use InfoPath for obvious reasons.
    What is the best approach to meeting this requirement?  I have at least 20 sites and 70 lists overall that need variant forms made.

    Hi,
    I understand that you want to have different forms based on different view.
    Per my knowledge, there are no out of box method to achieve it.
    As a workaround, you can add the JavaScript code to the different view page.
    For example, to open different new form based on different view, you can get the windows.location, and then judge the view, then change the onclick event of the "New item" button.

    What you're calling "Adobe Forms" is really Adobe FormsCentral. The FormsCentral service is indeed going away soon, but you can always create PDF forms (AcroForms) with Acrobat. Acrobat also comes with a desktop version of the FormsCentral desiger, which can be used to create simple PDF forms that can be used apart from the FormsCentral service. So you'll no longer be able to create and host web forms with the FormsCentral service or use PDF forms with the FormsCentral service. You will be able to create standalone PDF forms with Acrobat and simple PDF forms with the FormsCentral desktop app.

  • Updated Acrobat and now Javascript calculations not working in new forms.

    I had created forms for my work that allowed me to calculate back dates from a given date to instruct the form users when components of a project were due. Below is the script I used- I am NOT a programmer and this was taken from another forum. It has worked successfully for 2 years in both Acrobat 9 & 10 and in various forms I have made.

    "0VendorArtApproved-2wk" is the field the previous date was taken from- this and the amount of days "- 21" changes from field to field. This form has 3 levels that it calulates dates from- which starts with a single initial date entered into a text box by the user. This allowed the user to see when different elements of a project were due. Sorry if this seems basic to all the Javascript masters but I am really very clueless on prgramming speak and only know what I have read from forums.
    The last version of the form that worked successfully was in Oct 13', I went to create a new form and copied these formula boxes to a new form and now half of them do no work.
    I have rechecked my formulas and formatting and cannot find and issue. They are exactly the same. One works and one does not. The only thing I can see different from the 2 forms is that I am certain there were 1 or 2 updates to the Acrobat software itself that could possibly have caused an issue.
    So I have 2 documents- 1 created in October 13' that works and one created today Jan 14' that does not work. They have the same formulas.
    Anyone aware of changes to Acrobat or errors in my formula that could have caused this? I am in version 10.1.9

    Applied this fix. There was an error in the NEW document. I redid the formulas in the NEW document and that did not work. Still had the same problem. 
    SO I went back and redid the formulas in the fields in the OLD document to the revision I needed and that worked. All I was trying to do was tweak the number of days between one element and the next in this area and there were a bunch of other revisions to the form so I figured it was easier to start fresh.  I will just make all the revisions to the OLD document- which will be a lot of work, but at least my formulas are working. Not an ideal fix but something must have been glitchy in the new document and I now have a workable form.
    I believe some kind of odd interaction happened when I copy and pasted the fields from document to another.
    Thank you so much for your help! I am days away from maternity leave so I had to get this figured out fast!

  • How to create new form fields in several columns (spreadsheet) and have them named consecutively?

    Hopefully someone can help.  I created a new form from an Excel spreadsheet, but the form field recognition didn't "take" well and very little of the spreadsheet translated into form fields.  I need to create new fields (31) for each column (about 10) and I want the fields in each column to have a keyword from the parent column and the fields numbered consecutively.  I'm really hoping I don't have to do this manually!
    Next, is there a way to total the values in a column of fields (the same as the SUM function in Excel?) or does the form user have to dig out a calculator and add everything?
    Can I create an email (submit) button and direct how (ie email) and by what method the form is sent?
    Once the form is completed, is there a way for the user to lock it before sending it - ie a button they could press to make it no longer fillable?  Or can I set the document to be a regular .pdf once it leaves the host machine?
    I think that's it!  Hopefully someone can help soon - this is a work project that could be potentially very time consuming if I have to create each form field manually.  Thank you for any assistance!

    Yes, this can be very tricky. If you don't get the exact right offset between each field, the difference will accumulate and after a while it will be completely off.
    You just have to play around with it, until you get it right. Or almost right, and then adjust it manually.
    Another thing I've noticed, is that when you select one field and right click for properties, you get an expanded version, as opposed to select/shift/enter for a bunch of cells only yields an abbreviated properties box - what's up with that?  Is there a way to change this?  For instance, I had set the properties for a column of 31 cells to be number, 1 decimal place.  Halfway through my project, the lady I am doing the favor for tells me she would like 2 decimal places, requiring me to manually change each box for 62 cells!  Apparently cell formatting is not an option in the abreviated properties dialogue!  Is there a fix for that?
    No, there isn't. Some propeties you have to set manually (or get right the first time, before copying and pasting...). There is a way to do it with a script, but it's a bit complex and requires using an undocumented method.
    This next question is a bit more complicated, and may not be possible.  The form I am creating is for payroll purposes, so at the moment it is generic (31 days) and the user fills in the month manually. Is it possible to get the form to recognize a month value (or create a pulldown menu with a selection of months to choose from) and limit the days accordingly?  Or better yet, run a calendar function so that weekends and stat holidays are highlighted on the affected row?  Kind of like what you can do with an Excel spreadsheet, which is what I designed the form in at the start (then printed to .pdf - the form field recognition did NOT work well on my spreadsheet!  hence me doing every cell manually).  Is this even possible, and if so, is it something I could learn to do?

    If you want to do it yourself, you would have to learn a lot about both the Date object in JS and about the various date printing and scanning methods in Acrobat JS.

I do not know what exactly I have to do, because if informed a new payment method continues with the same problem, checked the card bill and really had given an error, because there was no billed the game.     I try to define my forms via transaction SM34 - VC_FMCA_TRM_SCENARIO. If I create a new Scenario for application T - Tax and Revenue Management (TRM). After that I create a Version, which is valid from 20110101 to 99991231. Next step is Form Views. Here should be Views: A - as field, B - as ammended, C - as calculated, etc. But no values are in table TFMCA_PHASE. And there should be standard values A, B, C, D and E. If I try to put there value A, error message occured: Entry A   does not exist in TFMCA_PHASE (check entry).
    We have EHP4 system.
    any ideas?

    Use at new to detect a change in a column from one loop pass to the next. This statements enable you to execute code at the beginning of a group of records.
    Syntax for the at new Statement
    sort by c.
    loop at it.
        at new c.
         endat.
        endloop.
    where:
    it is an internal table.
    c is a component of it.
    The following points apply:
    This statements can only be used within loop at; it cannot be used within select.
    at new does not have to come before at end of. It can appear in any order.
    This statement can appear multiple times within the same loop. For example, you could have two at new and three at end of statements within one loop and they can appear in any order.
    These statements should not be nested inside of one another (that is, at end of should not be placed inside of at new / endat).
    There are no additions to these statements.
    Each time the value of c changes, the lines of code between at new and endat are executed. This block is also executed during the first loop pass or if any fields to the left of c change. Between at and endat, the numeric fields to the right of c are set to zero. The non-numeric fields are filled with asterisks (*). If there are multiple occurrences of at new, they are all executed. at end of behaves in a similar fashion.
    A control level is the component named on a control break statement; it regulates the control break. For example, in the following code snippet, f2 is a control level because it appears on the at new statement.

    It is said that a control break is triggered if the control level changes. This means that when the contents of the control level change, the code between the at and endat is executed.

    Between at and endat, numeric fields to the right of the control level will be zero and non-numeric fields will be filled with asterisks.
    Using ON CHANGE OF
    Another statement you can use to perform control break processing is on change of. It behaves in a manner similar to at new.
    Syntax for the on change of Statement
    The following is the syntax for the on change of statement.
    on change of v1 or v2 .
    else.
    endon.
    where:
    v1 and v2 are variable or field string names.
    any number of or conditions might follow.
    The following points apply:
    If the value of any of the variables (v1, v2, and so on) changes from one test to the next, the statements following on change of are executed.
    If no change is detected and else is specified, the statements following else are executed.
    on change of differs from at new in the following respects:
    It can be used in any loop construct, not just loop at. For example, it can be used within select and endselect, do and enddo, or while and endwhile, as well as inside get events.
    A single on change of can be triggered by a change within one or more fields named after of and separated by or. These fields can be elementary fields or field strings. If you are within a loop, these fields do not have to belong to the loop.
    When used within a loop, a change in a field to the left of the control level does not trigger a control break.
    When used within a loop, fields to the right still contain their original values; they are not changed to contain zeros or asterisks.
    You can use else between on change of and endon.
    You can use it with loop at it where . . ..
    You can use sum with on change of. It sums all numeric fields except the one(s) named after of.
    Any values changed within on change of remain changed after endon. The contents of the header line are not restored as they are for at and endat.
    When a loop begins execution, the system creates a global auxiliary field for each field named in an on change of statement contained by the loop. On creation, these fields are given default initial values (blanks or zeros). They are freed when the loop ends.
    Each time on change of is executed, the contents of its fields are compared with the contents of the global auxiliary fields. If they are different, the on change of is triggered and the auxiliary fields are updated with the new values. If they are the same, the code within on change of is not executed
    Because global auxiliary fields do not exist outside a loop, you cannot use on change of outside of a loop.
