What kind of object collection?

Hey there.. I'm doing a Library program and so I need to store some books and later on print them to the console. What kind of object collection do you recomend and think that is more apropriate? Thanks

What kind of object collection do you
recomend and think that is more apropriate? ThanksDepends entirely on what you're planning to do with the objects. Are you going to browse them one by one, search by title or what?
Since this is your homework I encourage you to do a bit of research on the different collection classes yourself.

  • What kind of object is this ?

    Version : 11.2
I have seen scipts like below in our SQL scripts.
    select * from table(mls_arp.wms_par_update(
         cursor(
              select pkt_hdr_id, track_shp_no, create_date from pkt_hdr_dtl
    commit;What kind of objects are MLS_ARP and WMS_PAR_UPDATE ?
Both are not present in USER_OBJECTS or DBA_OBJECTS ?
    Edited by: Y.Ramlet on Oct 16, 2012 12:20 AM

If it is just a function why does it have a COMMIT ?
By the way , this SELECT is enclosed in these Parallelism related ALTER SESSION statements . Is COMMIT required for these ALTER SESSION statements ?
    The script looks like
    spool logfilename.log
    alter session force parallel query parallel;
    select * from table(mls_arp.wms_par_update(
         cursor(
              select pkt_hdr_id, track_shp_no, create_date from pkt_hdr_dtl
    commit;
    alter session enable parallel query ;
    spool off

  • What kind of view object should I create for this data model?

I have an entity that has several dates. The dates are stored in a table separate from the entity, each entity date has a date type (open, close, interview, etc) associated with it. The DBAs idea (who else of course!) was to have the flexibility to add new types of dates for entities when needed.
So you have tables like this -
    Table: EntityTable
    Columns: EntityId, EntityName
    Table: DatesTable
    Columns: EntityId, Date, DateTypeCd
I need to display an editable ADF form where I can update the entity and the entity dates
The ADF form would contain something like this -------
    Entity Name: []
    Opening Date: []
    Closing Date: []
    Interview Date: []
What kind of view object would I need to create to achieve this?

That would be a master-detail relation 1-* between 'entity' and 'entity dates'. If your dba has set up the foreign key association in the db and you use the wizard to create the business objects, jdev pick up the relation and create the correct master detail relation in the vo layer for you.
By the way naming a table 'entity' is not a good idea when working with ADFbc. We all talk about entities when we relate to a business object (in this case a row of a table or entity object or EO). So it's hard to distinguish the two, your specific table 'entiyt' and the common term entity or EO which can be a row of any table.

I have a back up of the folder 'iTunes Media' on a Nas (LaCie CloudBox).
    I do a weekly update.
    Everything is cool.
Now I would  love to keep the iTunes Mediafolder on the Nas and delete the one on my internal HD.
What kind of trouble I may run into?
    Where are the hidden catches?
What can go wrong, and how can i undo any mistake?
I also have an iTunes Match acccount.
    Cheers
    rudy

    HI
Read this user tip Make and keep a backup of your iTunes library, and only stream from the cloud.
Problems? No hidden catches. Whilst streaming using match, you will need a wifi connection. You main worry is that if your NAS drives fails, you need to redownload your music from match but this could take time depending on how large your collection is. Personally I keep an additional backup of all my music as a matter of course.

You can't install Access Manager without full control on the base organization.
You need the Directory Manager user (maybe with a temporary password) or a user with full permissions on the Access Manager root DN.
    Hope It Helps

  • How to use object collection with linked objects

<p>Hi,</p><p>I&#39;m using VS2005 Crystal reports in a c# client app (server has database, but client does not have!). So the use of the objects transfered to the client seemed to me a good solution for showing reports on the client. The objects mostly link to several other objects (properties of type <type> or properties of type [] <type>) and the links are correctly configured in database assistant.</p><p>But: Whenever using one of the linked fields, all of the main fields will never show up in the report.</p><p>So, what is the correct way of showing a master / detail report using linked object collections???</p><p> (A small test sample app can be provided upon request)</p><p> TIA</p><p>BP</p>

What database and connection type are you using? Are you connecting the report directly to the database, or trying to assign the datasource to object data?
It sounds like you might be trying to use a linked list, collection or other C# construct to pass your data in. This currently isn't supported by the Crystal Reports SDK. You can use a DataSet or a DataTable, and possibly also an IDataReader depending on which version of Crystal Reports you're referencing in your project. Of course you can also connect directly to the database, even if the database isn't on the same machine as the application.
The way to show master records with detail information is through the use of subreports and linked subreport parameters. Linked subreports take their parameter value from a record in the main report, so that only the data appropriate to that master record is displayed. The guys over in the [report design|SAP Crystal Reports; forum can help you out with this if you have questions on the specifics.

    hi gaurav,
u created internal table itab with out header line and u r trying to delete it from internal body itself which isn't possible.
    so do like this,
create workarea [wa_itab] of same structure of itab [internal table] and give delete statement as
delete wa_itab from itab where condition.
    if helpful reward some points.
    with regards,

  • What is the object for ?

    Hello,
I need to do a program which show the result of a select in a DataBase.
I would like to show them as in a peer to peer software, I mean in different categories that I could possibly sort by clicking in the name of the category. What is the object for that.
    Thank you.
PS: Excuse my english, I'm french

ummm...I don't really understand what you are asking for. But you know that objects are created from a class and it inherits the attributes of that class. It could either be from the built-in classes of java or the one that you built on your own. I suggest looking at java help and see if there are any classes that can satisfy what it is that you want to do, if none does, then you're gonna have to create a class of your own then create an object from that...not sure if this answers your question, i'm kinda like shooting in the dark here....=)

  • Does Cisco LMS and CNC require what kind of access on device

I would like to know what kind of device access needs to collect information? I have another team trying to collect the information. I have given LMS server snmp access to Cisco Devices. It seems that snmp for LMS is not enough as per their comment. We have CNC server is different than LMS. Please advise. Thanks!!!
If you have sample output report for LMS and CNC will be also very much appreciated.

You can check the credentials required by LMS for managing devices for different features here :
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4.2/install/guide/prereq.html#wp1170227
Not sure about CNC. Let the other experts comments on it.

  • Drag and drop List Object[] collection

is it possible? If we combine JPA entities which are returned then we have to return List<Object[]> collection, e.g. some combination of the fields from Employees and Projects entities is returned by a service

Not sure what this question is pertaining to. Are you referring to the use of drag and drop in the context of ADF Faces RC with JPA? Or are you describing a design time issue with JPA? Please clarify.
    Thanks,

  • What kind of operations is doing when DML statement is executing

i want to know what kind of operations are doing where dml sql statement is executeing - undo and redo log, index renewing, transaction log, audit log - is there some operations that i do not know ?

Intially sql goes to library cache, where it checks for syntax and sematics, once it pass throw, it generates a 16 digit hash code for that sql( for the first time this can be treated as 'HARD PARSING' and and the same sql given for 2nd time it wont do the entire process, just uses the existing #code, this is called as 'SOFT PARSING") and finally this goes to DDC where object existence and privileges are checked, once it passed all these it gets the file#,block# to fetech the blocks form datafile, and those will be fetched to database buffer cache and then to client system in such a format that we can usderstood.
Hope this makes sense to you!

    Hi Shannon,
The type of proxy I'm familiar with is at the http connection level and
associated with the networking properties in the JDK, See:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/net/properties.html
Your question may be related to JWS proxies, See:
    http://edocs.bea.com/workshop/docs81/doc/en/workshop/guide/howdoi/howUseTheJavaProxyForAWebService.html
You may want to ask this question in the workshop newsgroup.
    Hope this helps,

    Hi, all;
I try to find out how the java proxy of web service in weblogic server 8.1
works. Suppose I use the java Proxy of a WebSerice in a client application whatever
whithin or outside the application of the web service, does the proxy actually:
    1. translate my java arguments objects in XML to create SOAP msg,
    2. then send the msg across the network, and web service also response SOAP msg,
    3. then proxy translate it into return value of the method call ?
If that is true , the Java Proxy seems very inefficient, right?
Can any body tell me how the proxy works ?
    regards,
    shannon
