What properties to scan pics so they dont need rendedering?

I just scanned in 30 pics:
* 150 dbi-because I want to do Ken Burns moves on them
* 720 by 480
* .TIF
* I scanned them on a PC then sent them through my network to my MAC
FCP gave me an error notification when I imported them but did allow me to. I put them on the TL & they look fine but they have a green render line above them.
What is FCP native picture format where it wont need to render?
Also, is the problem I am having associated with the fact that i am capturing them on a PC?

I've been in television/video production for 17 years and still photography for many years prior to that. I have never been taught that DPI had any meaning in video/TV.
Think about it: if TV was 72 DPI, how would you explain that an image of 72 DPI looks the same quality on a 20" set as it does a 36" set? If DPI accounted for ANYTHING at all in TV world, the 20" set would have 1440 dpi total (diagonally) and the 36" set would have 2592 dpi total. But TV doesn't work that way. DPI only has any real meaning in the print world. An image scanned as 2000 x 1200 at 72dpi will look exactly the same as the same image scanned as 2000 x 1200 at 300dpi once you compare the two on a TV.
But due to the way some photo and scanning programs were written, you can see a relationship between DPI and resolution. Some of these programs default to automatically adjusting the pixel dimensions when you input a new DPI setting ... but you can turn off that "feature" in most of the better programs.
Other programs may work differently; the Epson Scan software that came bundled with my scanner is an example. I can adjust the DPI manually and the pixel dimensions will change relative to the change in the DPI value I entered. But if I manually adjust the pixel resolution, the DPI setting remains the same. For purposes of scanning, I'll set the DPI to get the pixel dimensions I want, letting the software have the task of keeping the aspect ratio constrained.

What size do the pics for the book need to be???

I am getting very very annoyed. It does not matter whether I give in 7 by 5, 8 by 10, iphoto keeps chopping off the sides... I open my pics again in photoshop to resize them, give black or white space on the sides, yet it keeps chopping off and not putting in the changed version...
What a pain to be honest. This is for a wedding book, I can not afford pieces of pics chopped off... There is a bigger/smaller slider, but even the smallest is not enough to fit my whole page on the iPhoto page.
What correct measurements do you need to fit one pic on a one pic page?
I know all about cropping and constrain, yet iphoto does not seem to work on constraining... IT KEEPS CHOPPING SIDES OFF... AGGGGGRRRRRR

The recommended size for putting in books is 4:3. Other sizes will work but as you found out they will be scaled up till either the smaller size is just right, cutting off some the the longer side or scale the longer side up and leaving extra space on the shorter sides.
With 4:3 the photo will be automatically sized to exactly fit the 4:3 frames in the pages.

What properties do I set in custom rack stencils so that they have the snap-in behavior?

I am working with Visio rack diagrams, and I am trying to modify some custom rack stencils so that they behave in the same manner as those belonging to Visio's built-in Rack Diagram template. Specifically, I want to ensure that each custom shape:
a) conforms to the standard width (19 inches)
b) has exactly two glue points located on the bottom left and right corners corresponding to a 1D shape which enables the snap-in behavior
c) has the text box that updates the rack unit size when the user resizes the height.
What properties do I need to set please?

What happens if Someone was to download content from itunes U if they dont go to University?

I was wondering, as the new Itunes U app is out, what happens if someone just download the content if they dont go to University?

Most (all?) of the course materials that are being put up on iTunes U are there for free. You are free to download and study them for the sake of your own interest. It's all good.

Im getting tired of this popups everytime i click on something they r so aggravating. and they dont have anything to do with what im doing.

You can do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

With iPhoto make sure you are viewing your photo library with "Photos" selected in the side bar. This should show you all your photos.
Then you simply select the photo you want to trash and on your keyboard hit the "delete" button.
This will move the photo into the "Trash" folder.
Now change your view by selecting the trash can icon in the side bar. This will show you all the photos in the trash bin.
Now, go up to the iPhoto menu and choose "Empty iPhoto Trash"

What format are they? Tiif? Jpeg? You can compress them with a lot of apps - including Preivew and just about any graphics editor out there. I'm not sure that 45mb would crash iPhoto thogh, are yo sure that's the cause? I know that some folks have mentioned pixel dimensions causing issues, as can color profiles.

Not sure what you mean by "same problem". The OP forgot their Security Questions and needed them reset.
Do you still have the old ID signed into iCloud? If you do, and you created a new Apple ID, and you have Find My iPhone turned on, then you are going to have to reset the password on the old ID to sign out of iCloud. Follow the Apple Security link I provided above to get the Security Questions reset.

At 1.3GB available, your storage space is getting very thin no matter what you do further. As long as you have the photo's in the camera roll saved on your computer you can delete them. Just make sure first that they are in your photo software. If updating in iTunes, just backup/sync first, then update, and that will save the camera roll in the backup as well.
At only 1.3GB you eventually are going to find yourself unable to install or update some app, or unable to take any new pictures, or some other limitation that will force you to free up space anyway. So now, before updating, sounds like a good time to make sure everything is backed up or stored somewhere else, and clean house a bit, then update.

Iphone 5 power button not working!! They have replacement program for months but why they dont email you and say it??

I have had iphone 5 and have never been happy and i think apple is not leading the technology and future of market anymore as they are lowering quality of their products(even hardware). I had to change first iphone 5 i had because of wireless issues and then i had battery problem and had to charge 3 times a day and finally after 2 years i bought they decided that its faulty and they decide to change it. Luckily enough i read it on an online tech magazine and after googling i see that they have had replacement for power button as well which i am eligible for as well!! i go to genius bar and they replace battery but they dont replace power button cause they examine it and passes till the audio dock test! It connects to charder dock or cable but it doest to audio test dock and he says one off the pins inside is not right but it charges perfectly with every cable in the store!! And i tell him that they have to change power button not the charging pin cause it doesnt make sense!! Its a faulty product and maybe if they emailed and said it nearly a year ago my pin was right then!! so i think they found a silly reason not to change it and so i am struggling with that phone and brand that i hate(once i used to love)!
